This month’s packaging is different, the theme is ‘India Mon Amour‘ (which means ‘India My Love’ in French) and all the products are natural, herbal and organic. It is an oxblood red box with golden design on top depicting ancient India figures. August box is all about skin care and fragrance this month and something for the eyes.

It also has a separate card this time, apart from the product card, which has 5 ayurvedic skin care tips.

Forest Essentials details are missing and the 5th skin care tip is mentioned, a little goof up

Also coming to the products, I love everything in this box. The Hedonista Frozen Ittar is all natural and organic made with coconut oil and pure ittar. It is so convenient to carry and comes in this small jar. You need just a teeny weeny bit and the smell lasts for 7-8 hours minimum!!

I have got 2-3 small pimples and it is actually the perfect time to try out this Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask. It is in powder form and you can mix it with rose water or normal water and just apply it and wash off. I can’t wait to try this, have liked Suganda products untill now.

I wanted to try the Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist since a long time and I got it in this month’s box! Yay 😀 I absolutely love the smell and it is the best body mist I have tried, it just absorbs into the skin and leaves behind a refreshing smell. I have tried body mists from Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret too, but nothing beats this Forest Essentials one!

Coming to the Soultree Kajal, I already have 2-3 of these including one colored. I find the colored ones a bit dry in texture and these black ones are nice but as usual smudge a lot. So not too keen on the Soultree Kajal, but a full sized product is always good.

The 4th product is an option between Forest Essentials Body Mist & SkinYoga scrub, now I would have liked both 😀 But anyway, not being greedy, I am in love with this month’s My Envy Box. There have never been 3 full sized products and one deluxe sized (which is actually HALF) sample ever any of their boxes.

July Red Carpet Fab Bag Review & Discount Coupon

I absolutely love the July’ gold foldover clutch, it is perfect for the theme plus it can be used later on as a proper clutch. Coming to the contents of my July Fab Bag:

  • Vana Italian Bergamot Summer Shimmer Sunscreen (60ml)- Rs.2400/- for 115ml
  • Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Ruby- Full size (Rs.1500/-)
  • Sugar Eye Told You So! Waterproof Eyeliner 01 Black Swan-Full Size (Rs.699/-)
  • Ayorma Spa Daily Scrub (Rs.279/- for 50g) & Face Wash- 8ml each (Rs.349/- for 100ml)

Here is my video review:

Overall as mentioned in the video, I love the eyeliner the most. The lipstick is nice but not very pigmented and obviously not worth Rs.1500/-. Not too happy with the shimmer sunscreen and no SPF mentioned too. The small tubes of scrub and face wash are not of much use, and considering their price, I wonder why are 8ml samples even included.

Fab Bag is always value for money though, considering the price you pay for 3-4 products, but when it comes to quality, only 1-2 products would be a hit. Still I wouldn’t mind paying 599 bucks for 4 products, but this time around you can consider only 3 products,as those tiny face wash and scrub samples don’t count. I have seen better Fab Bags in earlier months, and would love if Fab Bag can maintain that, awaiting an even better Fab Bag in August 🙂

Plus a face mask worth Rs.400/-, this month’s My Envy Box is the best till date! I would still love it anyway if the August box makes me eat my words 🙂

I hope My Envy Box continues to come up with boxes like those of June & July, pretty impressed 🙂

June ‘Take Charge’ Fab Bag Review

Hi guys,

A new month and new bags and boxes start pouring in. Also the most exciting part is the unboxing,isn’t it?!

This month’s Fab Bag theme is ‘Take Charge’. It’s a deep purple loose bag which can stock a lot of things, perfect to carry along your makeup or toiletries during travel. I loved the color and material..its quite soft but sturdy and not something that would tear easily.

Let’s see what all I received in this month’s Fab Bag..

  • Cuccio Colour Nail Enamel in Shaking My Morocco- Full size (Rs.675/- for 13ml)
  • Cuccio Naturale Butter Blend- Milk & Honey- 9.24g tube (Rs.2970/- for 240g)
  • Votre Fresh Cooling Sun Protection Mist SPF25 50ml bottle (Rs.980/- for 100ml)
  • Ananda Spa Light Moisturiser For Normal to Dry Skin, small jar (I guess 8-9g) (Rs.1350/- for 50g)
  • All Good Scents Arise (For Men) Perfume vial- Father’s Day Bonus

This time we have one full sized product i.e. the 13ml Cuccio nail enamel, I am happy with the bright coral colour which is perfect for summers. The Ananda Spa Light Moisturiser is rose and sandalwood based and smells nice, would love to try this out.

We have half the sized bottle of Votre Fresh Cooling Sun Protection Mist SPF25 which will be worth Rs. 490/- and the small tube of Cuccio Butter for hand,feet and body. Lastly, a small perfume vial bonus from All Good Scents for Father’s Day.

Overall, a nice bag considering value for money as the nail enamel and sun protection mist itself total to more than Rs.1000, but I have seen better Fab Bags in previous months. I feel next month’s bag would be amazing though, let’s wait and watch 😀

Beach May Fab Bag Review

Hi guys,

I am back with a Fab Bag review. This May, the theme was Beach- Sun,Sand and S*xy. The bag is a super cute, blue and white striped one. I love stripes and nautical, and this is by far, my favourite bag 🙂

Let’s take a look at the products..

  • Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Madrid (Full size- Rs.1200/-)
  • Vana Vidhi Oriental Rice Paddy Face & Body Scrub (Full size,70g- Rs.1599/-)
  • Vichy Ideal White Cleanser & Essence (small sample)
  • Bonus: Bling Scarf (Rs.500/-)

I absolutely love the eyeshadow quad and I am glad I got warm,neutral colors and not the bright oranges and blues which I don’t like much. Madrid is just perfect with golds and browns, I did this makeup look with it.. (See more pics HERE)

The Vana Vidhi rice scrub is nice, gritty but not harsh and moisturising with the blend of essential oils, which does not leave the skin dry. I quite liked it.

A scarf as a bonus is just perfect, they also have 3 different ways to wear a scarf in the Fab Post. Also, every person has got a different scarf, I believe, which is even more cooler.

My least favourite is the Vichy Ideal White, I am not a fan of whitening products, and not really a fan of sample sized skin care too, which does not let you judge much anyway.

But overall, I am so so happy with this month’s Fab Bag, from the bag to the 3 full products, it’s a total paisa vasool bag. Absolutely recommend subscribing to Fab Bag, coz I believe they are only doing better month by month.

April 2015 My Envy Box Review

I am late in reviewing the April My Envy Box but here it is..

This time they have changed a few things in the box. Its a peach colored box, usually they have a pouch in which all the products are, this time there was no pouch and the products were all separate within the box. Also there was only one card this time with information of all 5 products unlike 5 different cards for each, which is good.

Lets take a look at what all I received in the April My Envy Box:

  • Za True White Exfoliating Clay– A deluxe sample of 30g which is quite good (Full Size Rs.399/- for 100g)
  • Catrice Longlasting Lip Pencil in Prince Cherry- Full size (Rs.300/-)
  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream 1.5ml small vial (Rs.5700/- for 100ml)
  • Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating and Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream– 2 small jars. I guess they are 5-6g each. (Full size Rs.1195/- for 50g)
  • Avene VHP Dry Touch Emulsion SPF50+ 5ml (Rs.1250/- for 50ml)

I love the products this time, a full sized makeup product is a perfect addition. The Catrice lip pencil is a very pretty red and would work with so many of my red lipsticks. I like Kama Ayurveda products and looking forward to trying out the night cream which I am glad comes in 2 jars and is a good quantity. The Za True White Exfoliating Clay is a new launch and is exclusively a part of My Envy Box, so again something new to try.

I am already using the Avene Dry Touch Emulsion and love it, so this would go into my travel bag, useful for a 1-2 day short trip. And the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream smells like a dream indeed, fresh and floral but a bit light though for my taste.

Overall, I am quite happy with this month’s My Envy Box. I hope they continue with this, coz I see such good boxes only once in 3-4 months and not every month unfortunately 🙁

March MSM Express Box Review

I got MSM Express Box which retails at Rs.495/-. Even though its a March box, I somehow couldn’t review it then, sorry for the delay. It looks like a small compact box but is very very heavy with a lot of stuff inside.

Let’s unravel the mystery of what’s inside the box..

I received 5 products, 2 from Kronokare, 2 from Biotique and 1 from Just Herbs.

Except the Body Lotion, I got rest 4 full sized samples which is quite a good deal for a box priced at Rs.495/-! But I would have liked all 5 different brands rather than 2 products from the same brand. Also I have tried Kronokare before and I am not really a fan of the Body Lotion, its not moisturizing enough.

Looking forward to try the Biotique and Just Herbs products.

Overall I would say, price wise, it is one of the best subscription box out there which actually offers a good value for money. I only hope they can maintain the price and number of products offered in the same way in future too. I would love to try the ‘Select’ Box next.

This time, the box was Valentine Special and curated by Miss Malini also called Miss Malini’s Box of Love. It was a black colored box  this time with a pink satin pouch inside..loved that pouch.

Also, there were two additional cards inside this time.A Sephora makeover card for oneself and a friend,sadly no Sephora in Mumbai and its a waste for me :/

Second was a Rs.500/- off on H2O+ stores card, will have to try that out, 2 stores in Mumbai thankfully.

What I got in the box:

Calvin Klein Reveal: Rs.4500/- for 50ml It smells amazing, strong and musky. Its my kinda scent.

LYN (Live Your Now) Nail Lacquer: Rs.350/- for 12ml Its a beautiful creamy pastel blue called No Morning Blues, I tried it out immediately. Dries quickly and love the finish. I am glad its a full sized 12ml quantity this time <3

SkinYoga Post Workout Neem Purifier: Rs.1550/- for 200gms Its a barley and neem post workout body scrub, waiting to try this out. I love SkinYoga products, happy with this one.

Vana Vidhi Himalayan Wild Rose Bath Salt: Rs.990/- for 15gms Bath Salts are a pleasure to use, especially when its pure,natural rose. It smells of soft,pure rose with no added scent/fragrance.

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Youth Serum: Rs.4490/- for 30ml Not really a fan since its an anti aging range, I don’t like the fact that beauty boxes contain anti aging products unless specifically requested for.

Overall I loved this month’s box. A full sized product plus the other deluxe sized samples which are good enough to eat and smell fabulous. Use SkinYoga Neem Purifier post workout on Valentine’s Day, bath with the Vana Vidhi Himalayan Wild Rose Bath Salt, apply the LYN nail lacquer and spritz some CK Reveal 😀 #not #justkidding

MemeBox Special #34 Whole Grain 2- Review and Unboxing

This time they sent me this Whole Grain 2 Box, I had seen a few Whole Grain 1 Boxes and they looked quite interesting. So I immediately checked out what all products does it have, the inquisitive me :p And I loved all 6 and was eager to receive the box and try the stuff out.

Though my box was opened and  checked by customs this time around, saw the tapes used for repacking, but thankfully no customs charged! :phew:

I am not really a fan of whitening and lightening creams and soaps, I don’t really believe in them. This one claims to even out skin tone, help fade scars and brighten skin. Maybe I would try, not sure, lets see.
