Few days back I was invited for the Moroccanoil Hair Spa experiental at the Renee Melek Salon in Bandra. I have had the chance to experience the Moroccanoil Hair Spa before at The Taj Palace Salon in Colaba. So I know how good it feels and was more than happy to try it out.
The owner Renee herself checked my hair and recommended the intense hydrating treatment for my hair. (Since this time my hair was more dry than my previous experience)
My hair was first washed with the Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo.
And then a mix of Moroccanoil Serum and Intense Hydrating Mask was applied on my hair all over, in parts. Its a mix of 1 pump and 1 spoonful of mask.
It was followed by a relaxing massage and steam.
Then the hair was washed again, this time only with water. Followed by a blow dry.
Here are some before-after pics.
My hair felt super soft to touch and I could feel the hydration in the hair, as it had turned a little dry of late. And even after a serum and mask were used, it was quite light and bouncy. It did not weigh my hair down. Hair stayed hydrated for a week or so. I also got this Moroccanoil Light Serum which I am currently using and testing out. Would review soon.
There are different Moroccanoil Hydrating Treatments and options. The Price of Moroccanoil Hydrating treatment – ranges from Rs. 2300 – Rs. 2700 depending on length and thickness of hair. Prices are inclusive of tax.
I have always had a good experience with Moroccanoil hair spa treatment till now. Have you tried it yet ?
P.S: Services were provided by the brand but it has not affected my opinion.
What the Company claims: Revitalises the scalp bringing essential nutrition to the hair root. Restores its natural vigour and vitality.
Iraya’s Keshavardhak Lepa, an ancient ayurvedic recipe contains 11 powerful herbs for reversing premature hair loss. It is a powerful hair tonic compound that strengthens the hair root and stimulates micro- circulation in the scalp. Helps prevent and stop hairfall. The perfect care for thinning hair and for treating alopecia.
Usage: Form a thin paste by mixing it with water and/or some oil (for dry scalp). Part the hair and carefully apply to the entire scalp. For best results, cover your hair with a hot, wet towel and leave on for atleast an hour.
Note- After the first application, you may notice some hair fall, do not worry these are dead hair follicles that are eliminated as the first part of the treatment.
Ingredients: 11 powerful ayurvedic herbs including triphala, gokharu & maka
MRP: Rs.495/- for 50g
It comes in a cute wooden jar matki with a cap. And inside you have the powder in a plastic zip pouch.
Since the product is to be used on the entire scalp, the 50g pack would last 3 uses. You can either mix it with water or with oil. I have tried once with both. The hair and scalp feel a little drier when mixed with water, coz the water would evaporate quickly and you need to keep the mask for an hour.
With oil, hair won’t feel dry, but it would be a little difficult to wash off.
I used it alternate weeks i.e with one week gap in between. I did not notice any hair fall as such when I was using this, but could not notice any new hair growth too, in this short time and in just 3 uses.
Though the herbs mentioned in the ingredients like triphala, gokharu, maka and a few others are the best to prevent hair loss and regenerate new hair. But, one needs to give it time and use it consistently to see results.
I think it should have been sold in a 100g pack and obviously at less a price than the double of 50g, to be economical and for one to see some good results.
Overall, I would say, definitely worth a try if you are suffering from hair loss.
Have you tried the Iraya Keshavardhak Lepa or any other ayurvedic preparation to fight against hair fall ? Did you notice results ?
Pantene Pro-V Total Damage Care Shampoo,Conditioner,Intensive Hair Mask Review
Ok, to start with, I was never a Pantene fan before. Had used it once long back and did not like it much, never tried Pantene again. So, this time when the Pantene team asked me to take their 14 day hair challenge with their all new and improved Pantene, I was like why not, let me give it a try.
The thing which intrigued me the most was their new Keratin Damage Blockers Technology. Even though the challenge was 14 days i.e 2 weeks, I was still using it for a longer time, though I did note the change in my hair in 2 weeks.
First, let us read and understand more about keratin porosis and the keratin damage blockers..
KERATIN-POROSIS IS THE ENEMY
The erosion of hair’s vital keratins and protein loss is the reason why hair becomes weaker and more brittle. Hair subsequently becomes more porous, ultimately leading to greater hair damage.
FIGHTING BACK AGAINST THE DAMAGES
The Keratin Damage Blockers targets, captures and neutralizes conditions that causes Keratin-Porosis, preventing keratin deficiency and strengthening the hair fiber from the inside out for healthier hair with every wash.

Pantene Total Damage Care Range comes in a pretty yellow and white packaging..though all Pantene range have the same packaging, I feel they should change some color somewhere to differentiate the range.
But, I like the fact that they are to be stored upside down. No struggle and waiting for the shampoo or conditioner to dispense when its half over as its already collected towards the opening. The mask also has a easy flip cap packaging in a tub.
The shampoo is pearly white in color and has a shine. Its runny and foams very well. Conditioner is a thick, white cream, and smooth and moisturising enough.
Hair feels smoother and softer after the first use itself. I have tried using the mask as a conditioner and skipping the conditioner and all three together too. I thought all three together would weigh down my hair, but I was so wrong.
Did not weigh down my hair at all. The mask is the hero of this range. Its the bomb.com
I so love the mask. My hair feels amazingly soft and smooth with this range, especially with the mask. Though I use the mask only once a week. The conditioner is good too, but nothing beats the mask 😀
The best part, this mask is also available in Rs.10 sachet form, which is THE thing to carry, when you are travelling.
Though, it did not help much with dandruff,Does not even claim to. But, hair is manageable and non frizzy as claimed. And super soft and smooth. And, I believe the Keratin Damage Blockers technology is actually protecting my hair from damage and repairing it too.
Yes, I did see visible results in 14 days. You should absolutely take the 14 days challenge if yet not convinced.
I highly recommend this range !
Have you tried the new Pantene Total Damage Care Range ??
