Lakme CC Cream Review, Swatches, FOTD

Lakme CC Cream Beige Review, Swatches, FOTD
What the Company claims: Lakmé CC stands for Complexion Care cream. It combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes.

Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF 20), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage.

MRP: Rs.250/- for 30g

Shades Available: Beige and Bronze

How to use:

Ingredients:

It comes in a nice attractive gold and pink tube packaging..and it can be seen and felt that the quantity is good enough too..it does not squeeze inside the cap and is very much travel friendly.

It has a light floral smell..and one needs only a pea sized amount of this..and the coverage it provides is pretty good..much better than other tinted moisturisers in the market..I would say more than Maybelline, Revlon and Garnier BB and almost equal to the Ponds and L’oreal BB..here I compared them all 😀

Its not that moisturising..and tends to give a matte look..oily skinned beauties would love this..I feel a need to use a separate moisturiser..if I don’t, it clings to dry patches.

And the shade Beige is a little lighter for me..in this pic below I have used Beige..Bronze is slightly darker for me..I really feel there should have been one more mid shade in between the two and that would have worked perfectly for me..Beige would suit NC 30-35 and Bronze would suit NC 40-42. The mid people should have been thought of..are you listening Lakme ??

Pros:

1. Lovely packaging.
2. Economical.
3. Pretty good coverage.
4. A good enough quantity.
5. Gives a semi matte finish..great for oily skinned girls.
6. Stays for 5-6 hours after which a slight touch up is needed.
7. Has SPF 20..though not much..but little added protection.

Cons:

1. Cannot skip a moisturiser..clings to dry patches.
2. Beige is lighter and Bronze is darker..a mid shade is surely required !

Overall I would say its pretty good..and a boon for girls with oily skin…I guess Bronze would be a shade high in demand..and would suit most of the girls..a perfect daily use CC cream to your rescue. Recommended !

Would I buy it again: Yes..I think I will have to mix Beige and Bronze and use :p I wish they come up with a mid shade, though I doubt that :/

It comes in a light brown see through packaging with a slide across lower compartment which has a mirror and stores a puff..amazingly designed..it sure deserves the most well thought of compact powder title..
The powder is very finely milled and super soft..it blends into the skin easily..and does not look cakey or any obvious effect..the puff is different..made of sponge..and picks up the right qty and goes over well on the face..but it gives light coverage.
As claimed, it actually is mattifying..it gives a completely matte look..and is a boon for oily skinned girls..I generally use it on my T zone..
The shade Sand Medium is a perfect match for me..
Pros:
1. Amazingly designed..this is perfect to carry along anywhere.
2. Super finely milled powder..blends well
3. Gives a completely matte finish.
4. Four shades to choose from.
5. 9g is a lot of quantity.
Cons:
1. Dry skin may find it too matte.
Overall I would highly recommend this to oily skinned girls..this is the answer to your prayers :p For dry skinned, do check it out at the counters first..I am combination..and I use it mostly on my T zone and for touch ups and love it..

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Why You’ll Love It

Ingredients:

Expert Tip : Apply smoothly and evenly to your face and blend with your fingertips.

MRP: Rs. 575/- for 30ml

Shades Available:

  • 01 Porcelain Ivory Light
  • 04 Nude Light
  • 05 Medium Creamy Natural Light
  • 3.5 Nude Beige Light
  • 02 Pure Beige Medium
  • 04 Honey Beige Medium
So these are not 01 to 05 according to shades but the internal numbering amongst shades..so do not get confused with the numbers..Light has 01 to 05 and so does Medium..but these 6 shades are only available in India..
I have 04 Nude Light which is a little light for me..but not something with a stark difference..I guess the 05 Medium Creamy Natural Light would be a better fit..yet to check that out..
If I have to describe it in one word..love

It does everything what it claims..smooth even finish, high coverage, super easy to use. I just use my fingers most of the time..a small pump and I am good to go..more than enough coverage for me on everyday basis..if I have an event to attend, slight more and I get full coverage..it does cover up and minimize appearance of pores too.

It stays for 5-6 hours..but the issue is oily skin might find it a little greasy after some time..since it is rich in texture..

Pros:

1. Smooth even finish.
2. Medium to high coverage.
3. Pump is easy to use.
4. Blends nicely with fingers.
5. Coverage is buildable..so can be used according to your requirement.
6. Economical.
7. Would suit normal to dry skin and combination with some powder.

Cons:

1. Has silicones..so if you are allergic to silicones, try it at the counter first..or get sample if you can.
2. Only 2 shades for darker skin tones.
3. Pump dispensor, so not suitable for travelling.
4. Oily skin might find it a little greasy.

Overall if you are normal to dry skin and not allergic to silicones, you should definitely try this..others do check it out at the counters first..I love it..as much as Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Foundation
