PAC Cosmetics Face Care/Eye Care Series, Long Lasting Kohl, HD Powders, New Launches Review

Hi guys,

PAC Cosmetics has launched more products recently and still in the process of launching a few, if you don’t find something shown here online yet, it is coming up in a day or two.

You can check out all PAC Cosmetics review/swatches HERE

This time we have Studio Finish Oil Primer, Cleansing Gel, Total Clean Lip and Eye Makeup Remover, High Definition Powders, Long Lasting Kohl Pencils, Lip Pencils, Smart Tip Liquid Liner and Face Care and Eye Care Brush Series.

PAC Studio Finish Oil Primer

Claims: This studio finish oil primer is infused with jojoba oil which nourishes the skin and also gives a natural shine to the skin. Uses: prep your skin before applying your makeup with PAC studio finish oil primer. Mix some drop with your foundation or concealer for smooth and dewy effect.

MRP: Rs.795/- for 20ml (Buy HERE)

The packaging is quite nice, it comes in a twist up dropper form, where you can lock the dropper from the top so that the cap doesn’t open or leak, unless unlocked. But still it is in a glass bottle and you have to be careful with it, if you are travelling with it.

It’s a light oil that gets absorbed easily into the skin, but leaves dewy, glossy skin which is not sticky/greasy. Foundation blends in much smoother on the skin and there are no dry spots/patches where foundation would cling on to the skin. You can either use it as a base or mixed in with the foundation. I definitely recommend it to people with normal to dry skin, oily skin can use it too, it won’t make your skin more oily but you can restrict the drops. You don’t need much anyway, but if you have super oily skin, then I would only recommend mattifying products and not oil based ones.

I am all about that dewy skin and I love using this! And no it doesn’t make your whole face dewy looking, you can powder on top if you prefer a matte look. Like I have an oilier T zone and I powder my T zone and it instantly looks matte.

PAC Cleansing Gel

Claims: Makeup Removal now made easier!! With our Total Cleansing Gel you can remove your makeup without leaving any residue. You simply have to follow the steps below: – Apply a good amount of cleansing gel in the area where the makeup needs to be removed. – Gently massage with the tips of your finger on the area. – Now use a tissue or a cotton pad and swipe of the gel.

MRP: Rs.695/- for 100ml (Buy HERE)

This is a light gel with a bluish tint, you need to massage it on your face for about 30-40 seconds and it will melt the base makeup. Then you can simply wipe it off with a cotton round. It doesn’t irritate the skin or leave any greasy residue which happens with oils/balms. It takes off the makeup very gently and easily.

PAC Total Clean Lip & Eye Makeup Remover

Claims: This makeup remover can quickly and effectively remove all stubborn eye and lip makeup. This oil and water emulsion is infused with oils, rice and soy extracts with high-grade solution which is formulated to remove the toughest makeup

MRP: Rs.550/- for 80ml (Buy HERE)

This is a bi-phased makeup remover for eyes and lips. Shake it well and take some on a cotton pad. Hold it on the eye for a few seconds for the waterproof makeup to melt down and then gently swipe the cotton pad. You can take off even waterproof mascara in 2-3 swipes. It also works really well on liquid lipsticks, because non-oil based makeup removers/micellar waters do not take off the lipstick pigment/stain from the lips.

I do use oils usually for my lips and eyes, but they are kind of heavy and sometimes blur my vision for a few hours after. I don’t prefer micellar waters for my eyes coz all micellar waters sting my eyes.

This one didn’t sting my eyes, didn’t leave any oily residue, didn’t blur my vision. This is quite good for the price, and I do recommend it, especially if you have sensitive eyes like mine and/or use waterproof makeup

PAC Long Lasting Kohl Pencils

Claims: Its creamy, long-lasting formula delivers intense colour that creates defined eye looks for all-day wear. Its available in 5 different shades. Top Tip- Use it as a kajal as well as an eye liner.

MRP: Rs.395/- for 1.2g (Buy HERE)

Shades Available: Skin, Coffee Brown, Forest Green, Navy Blue, Black

It’s a sharpenable pencil with a smudger behind. You can use it as an eyeliner, as a kajal on the waterline and even as an eyeshadow base or for soft, day time smokey eyes.

These are super creamy and pigmented, the swatches you see are just one swipe. Do not apply too much pressure or else the nib breaks, they are that creamy. But once set, they don’t smudge or smear much.

Black, Blue, Coffee, Green, Skin

As an eye liner on the top lash line, they stay put pretty much through the day. On the waterline, it does smudge a bit on the outer corners after 4-5 hours, like most pencils.

I love the fact that they have launched a n*de eye pencil shade, Skin, which no other Indian brand has. Lakme had launched the white one, but white looks super stark on most skin tones. This one is also a little light and on the white side, I wish it had more beige, skin like undertones. This shade would work well for fair to medium skin tones but will still be a little stark and not a perfect nude for most Indian skin tones.

I love the Coffee Brown shade, it’s a perfect everyday wear shade. And soft, brown smokey eyes with this pencil can instantly make your eyes look pretty and like you have done an elaborate eye makeup look or put in a lot of efforts 😀 Black is of course a staple for us Indians, black kajal works for all eye looks and tightlining too.

Green and Blue are good for days when you want some pop of colour in your makeup, or as an eye shadow base.

The price point, shades, qty, pigmentation, formula, all is pretty good.

PAC Lip Pencils

Claims: Our creamy lip liners extend the longevity of your lipstick & prevent your lipstick from bleeding or feathering. It’s so easy to use and glides on and sets in a few seconds. You can use our lip liners to also contour your lips to give you a pouty lip!

MRP: Rs.200/- for 2g (Buy HERE)

Shades Available: Coffee, Mauve, Natural

These are a total value for your buck! They are super long and the qty is 2g! Again sharpenable, but you don’t need to sharpen these often.

Super creamy and glide on well, they do not feel dry on the lips like some lip pencils do. You can either use these just for outling and defining your lips or as an all over colour for the base of the lipstick. If you have pigmented lips or want to wear a sheer/creamy lipstick, then a lip pencil like this will work in bringing out the actual colour of the lipstick and/or not make your lips look bare.

All three shades will work for pretty much all Indian skin tones, but in specific Natural will work for fair to medium skin tones, Coffee for medium to dark and Mauve for all.

I love the formula, the shades, the price point, highly recommend this!

Natural, Coffee, Mauve, Smart Tip Liner

PAC Smart Tip Eyeliner

MRP: Rs.450/-

Matte jet black and a felt tip, two things which I look for in an eyeliner, it has both! It doesn’t bleed, is pigmented, not watery, glides on smooth and stays well through the day.

It’s easy to apply as I prefer a felt tip and comes out a good, rich black in one swipe. I do recommend this, if you are searching for a good, matte liquid liner.

High Definition Powders

Claims: PAC high definition powder is a loose banana powder which has a coarse-grained texture which coats a silky soft feel to the skin and also absorbs oil and gives even matte finish. available in 2 shades.

MRP: Rs.695/- (Buy HERE)

It’s available in white transparent and yellow banana shade. White is a universal shade and works for everyone, banana is a good match for us with yellow undertones, and especially for setting the concealer to counteract purple undertones under the eyes.

Banana also works better than white, if you are using flash photography.

I love the packaging, it’s a fine sifter at the centre and doesn’t remove excess product. You can directly dip your brush on the sifter and lift the product. The packaging is exactly like the MAC High Definition Powder.

Banana, Transparent

I have tried Colorbar, Faces and a lot of different loose powders, but they are all more like mineral foundations and even though fine, I have never experienced a finer powder like this PAC HD one in any Indian brand. This is perfect for baking under eyes, to set your concealer and to make your contour sharper or cleaner.

I love the packaging, the fine texture, the qty (it will last you really long) and the price point (it is cheaper and better than other Indian brands)

PAC Face Care Series

Claims: This kit comprises of premium quality 5 face brushes. It is ideal for blending, buffing, powder, contouring. These brushes are your ultimate pro face essentials. These brushes come in a handy brush pouch to keep your brushes organised.

MRP: Rs.2795/- (Buy HERE)

PAC Eye Care Series

Claims: This kit is all you need. PAC Eye Care set comprises of 8 eye brushes which is idea for eye shadow blending, eye shadow application, eyebrow brush, smudger, liner brush. These brushes are a combination of different shape and sizes. Define your creativity with PAC Eye Care series. These brushes comes in a handy brush pouch to keep your brushes organised.

MRP: Rs. 2595/- (Buy HERE)

I love the black foldable pouch both the kits come in. Plus the outer black tie-up cloth bag. These kits are not only great for your everyday use, but also when you want to travel with it.

Now I know some of you feel the brush kit is expensive for beginners, but the quality of PAC brushes is pretty much comparable to Real Techniques/Sigma. If you are looking for good quality brushes in India, then these kits are your best bet. If you buy these brushes individually, it will total up to more than the value of this kit, plus you get a pouch handy for travel.

For the face, it has a flat foundation buffing brush, concealer brush, powder brush, blush/highlight brush and a contour brush. You might need 1-2 separate brushes if you like keeping your bronzer/blush/powder/highlight brushes separate. But this is pretty much the basic set you will need for your face.

For the eyes, this is the best kit I have come across and each of the 8 brushes has a separate/specific use and you won’t need any other brush apart from these 8 for a complete eye makeup look. It has a fluffy eyeshadow application brush (Like MAC 217) to apply the shadow, blend in the outer corners or add smokiness to the outer V. A fine eyeliner brush and a dual sided eyebrow brush with an angled brush on one end (for both filling in eyebrows or you can use it for your gel eyeliner) and a spoolie on the other end. A smaller/denser eyeshadow application brush, a big fluffy blending brush, a pencil brush, a shorter stiff brush for smudging lower lash line or glitter application and another eyeshadow application brush.

Pretty much everything you need if you are looking for good eye makeup brushes. If you are not into eye makeup, then you can just get the face series. If you already have basic face brushes and a beauty blender and want to experiment with eye makeup, I will definitely suggest getting the eye series. Beauty blender does a lot of your base work when it comes to face, but for the eyes, good brushes can make or break your eye makeup.

Overall I would say, I am again happy and satisfied with all the new PAC Makeup Launches, nothing has disappointed me from these. Price wise, I know some of you have mentioned PAC prices have increased but when I compare the products with a lot of other brands both Indian and international, it delivers quality at a price lesser than theirs, so I am not complaining. But I do wish they come up with more offers and discounts regularly.

If you are in Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Ahmadabad, then you can personally visit the store, get your match in foundation/concealer, also they offer 10% discount in stores.

So what did you like from the new launches? Let me know in the comments below.

PAC All New Launches Review, Swatches

PAC All New Launches Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

PAC launched a bunch of new things recently, and they are still launching more, hopefully you will see a Part 2 of this post real soon 🙂

Starting with the current launches which are already out on Amazon and PAC website. We have few new brushes, 3 eye shadow palettes, eye brow palette, diamond powders, eyelid primer, makeup setting spray, makeup removing wipes, few new eye lashes, new mascara and 8 new shades in the Retro Matte Gloss.

Now I don’t have the makeup removing wipes and the matte round neutral eye shadow palette, I would be reviewing and swatching those in Part 2.

Let’s start with the eyebrow palette..

Claims:

  • Designed to attain perfect brows
  • 12 pans divided into half with different colour tones
  • Powdery texture helps for perfect precision

MRP: Rs.1795/- (Buy HERE)

It has 11 pans with half and half colours and one of wax. You can mix and match and use any colour as per the colour of your hair and skin tone, and customize your perfect eye brow colour. I am not sure if the pans are sold individually because I couldn’t find it online, but all pans can be removed and carried along if required. This palette is perfect for you if you are a makeup artist, it even has blonde shades. However for individuals, I would recommend getting the single pan which I am sure they would retail soon or would be available in stores.

The shades which are absolutely perfect for Indian skin tones and which I recommend are Soft Brown, Auburn, Chocolate, Ash Brown and Dark Brown.

Here are the swatches..

L-R: Chocolate, Auburn, Ash Brown, Dark Brown

Coming to the brushes, PAC has added 6 new brushes and a sharpener for their Concealer Crayons.

PAC Brush 255 – MRP: Rs.645/- (Buy HERE)

PAC Brush 256 – MRP:  Rs.545 (Buy HERE)

PAC Brushes 255 and 256

They are duo fibre brushes for buffing, and are ideal for foundation and concealer respectively.

PAC Brush 353 – MRP: Rs.795/-

PAC Brush 353

It’s a slanted kabuki brush, super dense and soft. The centre white portion is where you pump out the foundation and then start buffing, it gives a flawless foundation finish. Reminds me of Sigma F80, only that is flat.

PAC Brush 272 – MRP: Rs.595/- (Buy HERE)

PAC Brush 274 – MRP: Rs.595/- (Buy HERE)

PAC Brushes 272 and 274

PAC Brush 272 is a contouring brush, it blends your contour seamlessly even on the sides of the nose and jaw line. It would work best with cream contour. PAC Brush 274 is an eyeshadow blending brush, it is quite dense and broad, it would blend in your crease shadows quickly and seamlessly. But it is not ideal for detailing or darkening specific outer v as it covers a huge area. It is perfect for crease work.

PAC Brush 258 – MRP: Rs.675 (Buy HERE)

PAC Brush 258

PAC Brush 258 is the perfect highlighting fan brush, you can highlight specific areas also such as cupid’s bow and top of eye brow, tip of nose, etc., because of it’s size. Love this brush!

Coming to my favourite – eye shadow palettes.

They had launched a 7 shades matte eyeshadow palette previously (Swatch HERE) and I absolutely loved it! This time they have launched three more which look fabulous – Matte, Spark and Sprinkle. I will be reviewing the Spark and Sprinkle.

PAC 7 Color Spark Eye Shadow Palette – MRP: Rs.1175/- (Buy HERE)

This palette has 6 shimmery shades in all metallic tones and one matte black shadow. It has ideal lid shades and is a perfect festive/party palette. You can also create metallic smokey eyes with black at the outer V or layering a metallic shadow all over black on the lid. There are numerous ways you can use this palette.

There is dull gold, yellow gold, copper, rose gold, taupe grey, champagne and matte black. All the shadows are highly pigmented and go on smoothly. These are best applied with fingers, you can neaten the edges up with a precision brush though.

Only con for me would be the shades 1 and 2, 3 and 4 look similar, especially on the eyes. I wish there was one true metallic pink and one deep bronze instead. But nonetheless it is still an amazing palette quality wise too.

PAC 9 Color Sprinkle Eye Shadow Palette- MRP: Rs.1395/- (Buy HERE)

Claims:

  • 9 shimmer shades
  • Best to create both day and night looks
  • Granulated particles make its texture very smooth and easy to blend

This is one gorgeous palette, I was stunned looking at the shades and pigmentation. It has 9 metallic/shimmer colourful shades. This palette covers all the shades and you can do a green smokey eye, blue smokey eye, burgundy, purple, gold, copper, all kinds of looks with this. This is the only palette you will need for Indian festive/wedding makeup apart from a few mattes for blending!

It has both warm neutrals like gold/copper/white and colours. We have white gold, copper, yellow gold, rose gold, dull gold, burgundy, lilac, blue and green. Lilac and blue are my absolute favourites.

This palette is a total value for money and an absolute must have!

All the swatches are just one swipe without any primer.

PAC Eye Lashes in No.49- MRP: Rs.175/-

These are lashes for lower lash line, I have never tried lower lashes before but would definitely give this a try. I am glad PAC is launching more styles and different kinds of eye lashes. I hope they launch an eyelash glue soon.

PAC Slim Slimmer Mascara- MRP: Rs.595/-

This is a two way mascara with a slim, slightly curved wand on one side for the top lashes and the slimmer, tiny wand for the lower lashes. I loved the lower lashes slimmer one, the slim top part is good for defining lashes but it doesn’t give me enough volume.

PAC Micro Finish Makeup Fixer- MRP: Rs.850/- (Buy HERE)

Claims:

  • Herbal and floral extracts in this makeup fixer
  • Aero spray technology eliminates blotchy watermarks
  • Beneficial vitamins protects skin & makes makeup last long

The spray in this is very fine and even, absolutely love the spray. It has herbal and floral extracts as claimed, ingredients have rosemary, lavender, peppermint, hibiscus, jasmine extracts, etc. It takes away all the powderiness from the face and makes the makeup stay longer. There are not enough makeup setting sprays in India and I do highly recommend this one.

PAC Canvas Shadow Primer – MRP: Rs.695/- (Buy HERE)

Claims:

  • Create a clean canvas for eye-shadow application
  • Its lightweight and creamy
  • Lasts long and enhances looks

It is a tinted eye primer, the tint helps in evening out eyelids and covering the veins, giving a clean canvas to work with. It is creamy and blends nicely, looks and feels like a concealer.

It definitely makes the eye shadows appear brighter and vivid and helps the eye shadows stay longer.

Here is a swatch without and with primer..

Without Primer, With Primer

PAC Diamond Powders- MRP: Rs.745/- (Buy HERE)

Claims:

  • Granulated shimmer powder for Eyes
  • Lightweight and has a smooth texture
  • Add an extra sparkle to your everyday life

These are shimmery powders/pigments which can be used in multiple ways. They are launched in three shades – Cleopatra, Moon Dust and Crystal.

These are perfect too add shimmer on the eye lids at the centre, or used below the eyes for a music festival look (glitter tears) or mixed with a mixing liquid and used as an eyeliner on the crease for a cut crease look. Cleopatra is white gold, Moon Dust is silver and Crystal is copper gold. I would highly recommend the Crystal one for bridal makeup artists. It will add oomph to your Indian bridal makeup looks.

They have three holes at the centre and a sifter packaging, I just wish the sifter lid would have been a little tight, as it was coming out while I was taking off the tape. I hope they don’t spill or mess around.

PAC Diamond Powders – Cleopatra, Moon Dust, Crystal

These can be used as highlighters but the shimmer is quite chunky and would emphasize your texture, so I wouldn’t recommend using these on the face.

I also have 8 new shades added in the Retro Matte Gloss, I will do a separate post for those tomorrow as this post is already very image heavy and long.

Overall, I am loving all the new launches PAC is coming out with. The palettes and brushes are total value for money, PAC products come with a quality.

What is your favourite launch out of the lot?

Docolor Fantasy Makeup Brush Set/Contouring Brush Review

Docolor Fantasy Makeup Brush Set/Contouring Brush Review

Hi guys,

If you follow me on Snapchat and Insta stories, I had shared these brushes with you guys and many of you asked me to review them.

I am using these since about 2 weeks now, especially the face brushes. Docolor is a Hong Kong based makeup brushes brand, they have so many different varieties of makeup brushes, from sets to individuals and also a lot of accessories like brush holders, lash combs, instant brush cleaner, etc.

I have the 16 pcs Fantasy Makeup Brush Set and the Kabuki/Contouring Brush. They have synthetic hair and the body is plastic.

Docolor Fantasy Set: Inspired by rainbow’s colorful, among a sea of basic, black, utilitarian beauty tools, they are just as magical-looking,totally special as one might imagine.

Features: The handles are a beautiful glistening rainbow, the bristles are pastel pink hued, the overall effect is totally dreamy as you might imagine, this brush is created for all genders! Because makeup has no gender.

Vegan Brushes: Bristles are made of synthetic fiber, a super-soft fiber that feels luxurious against the skin, and no shedding that avoid embarrassing moments.

What’s In The Box? Brushes for applying the magical powder, foundation, concealer, eyebrow, highlighter, eye shadow, blending brushes — all housed in a beautiful rainbow box.

This set contains:

01 Powder Brush

12 Eye Shadow Brush

13 Angled Eye Liner Brush

14 Lip Liner Brush

15 Lip Brush

16 Spoolie Brush

Price: $23.18 (Buy HERE)

First of all, just look at the packaging. They are the most beautiful brushes I have ever seen. The ombre of white and pink bristles and gold/blue/green/pink/purple on the handles with the glitter texture looks amazing. These are aptly named ‘Rainbow’ brushes.

The bristles are super soft and fluffy, quite soft for synthetic hair, the powder brush is my absolute favourite. It’s one of the softest powder brush I have used. They haven’t shed hair at all yet. I love the build of it too, they are quite sturdy and tight.

All the face brushes come with brush guards, so that they can be kept tightly in the guards and don’t lose shape.

Synthetic brushes are great for cream products and for packing colour. The eye shadow blending brush is ok, it’s not pointy enough in shape. But you can always make do with blending brushes, the more the merrier.

One thing I would like to add is, they do not pick up a lot of product, hence need building up. Which is good for bronzers/blushes as you won’t end up with too much at a time. But if you need something that is quicker, then you might not like these.

Coming to the contouring brush,

Claims: This Single Flat Contour Trimming Brush is inspired by rainbow’s colorful, among a sea of basic, black, utilitarian beauty tools, It’s just as magical-looking, totally special as one might imagine. It is small and flat, the angular design of this brush makes it ideal for controlled application of powder and color. Excellent for blending, contouring and highlighting the complexion, allow you to achieve professional makeup application every time.It is designed to create targeted contouring and strong, sculpted cheeks. If you want to make your face look slimmer and gives you a super chiseled appearance, then this is the brush for you.

Price: $8.99 (Buy HERE)

Now this has the exact same design as this is also from the Fantasy collection. Again a sturdy body and well packed bristles. It’s a flat rectangle shaped brush and is perfect for cream contouring. It works for powder contouring too, but best for blending creams. Even though it claims to work for highlighting too, the shape is not very suitable for highlighting.

Overall, I would say these are pretty affordable and stunning in terms of design. Pretty sturdy and I do recommend them for the price.

Have you tried Docolor brushes yet? They even have a unicorn collection 😀

Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set Review

Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set Review

By Sanchita

INTRODUCTION – Brushes are the best investment for makeup and it is very important to buy good quality long lasting brushes. When I say good brushes, all I can think of is MAC, Sigma, Inglot or Zoeva. Now, most of the brands are unavailable in India or too costly for a beginner.

But, Real Techniques brushes are both inexpensive as well as have great quality. After using their Expert brush and Powder brush, I picked up the Core Collection Brush Set at a recently sale. Here is my review after using it for a month.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – Create a perfect canvas with our core collection of coverage essentials.

  • Contour brush: delicately applies highlighter to the cheekbones for a sheer, soft-focus contour.
  • Pointed foundation brush: unique cut for use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage
  • Detailer brush: precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.
  • Buffing brush: ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.
  • Panoramic case: dual carrier and stand keeps brushes organized on your counter or on the go. Also perfect for drying brushes upside-down.

PRICE – 2353 INR (Buy HERE)

MY REVIEW

Packaging – The Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set comes in a black panoramic case which is very sturdy. It has a Velcro lock system and has a light weight feature as well. The brush can be stored inside the elastic bands which helps to hold the brushes. It is so easy to store as well as travel with this case. If you are taking a short trip, I would highly recommend this set as it caters the basic needs for base and lips makeup. Coming to the brush, they are packed in the typical ‘RT’ packaging. All the four brushes has the burnt bronze ferrules with black silicone handles for easy grip. The overall look for the case and brushes has a very ascetically pleasing yet a professional touch which I love a lot. The brushes are not unnecessarily bulky and is also light weight. All in all, the packaging is surely a thumbs up.

Bristles – This is one quality of Real Techniques brushes which make me go weak for them. The bristles are made of synthetic taklon and 100% cruelty free. The brushes are a dream to touch and has the extra plushy feel to it. This is why it applies and blend the products like a dream. Also, every brush is hand cut and the shape is so perfect that it can be put it a number of uses.

Brushes in details –

Contour brush – The contour brush is a gem! It comes with a round base and tapered top and fits so perfectly on the hollows of the cheeks. I used to use the angled brushes before but this one blends like a dream. In fact, it has various uses as well. The shape of the brush is neither small nor big and thus you can use it for various ways as well. Firstly, I use to blend the highlighter and it flawlessly blends both powder and cream products. You can also apply the blush precisely on the apple of the cheeks or when you simply want a flush of color. The brush has a fluffy nature and can be used to swipe off powder on the areas like under the eyes without poking the sensitive area at all. You can also blend bronzers on the forehead and sides of the face as well.

Pointed foundation brush – This is the least favorite of mine in the kit and definitely a decent one. The brush has a pointy head with a flat base. It resembles the general flat foundation brush but is much smaller in size. Due to this, it can only be used to apply the foundation of concealers but blending will take forever. Due to the small size of the brush, I use it to apply and blend concealer under the eyes using light pat motion. You can also use it to apply powder for baking the areas where you have applied concealer. Highlighting with this brush is also an easy task and I apply powder highlighter on the difficult areas like bridge of the nose, inner corners, etc.

Detailer brush – This is my favorite brush and I am so in love with it! A small detailer brush is important in every makeup kit and if the bristles are as soft as these, you have to love it. The detailer brush is very small with a flat edge and tapered top – pretty much like a miniature version of the pointed foundation brush in the set. This brush is a life saver when you want to spot conceal any flaw, correct that wing liner or apply concealer around the mouth. It reaches up to every difficult corner and blends beautifully. I have applied eye shadows with this and both cream and powder applies seamlessly. You can also apply and blend colors on the lash line and inner corners as well. This brush can also be used for the lips as well. Overall, it is a multipurpose one.

Buffing brush – RT Buffing Brush is a famous one. This brush is the largest of the four and has a round base with the fluffy top and great for buffing any cream, liquid or powder foundations. It blends out everything evenly and properly as well. The brush seems to be a sister of the RT Expert brush which is slightly dense and tightly packed than this one but performs more or less same. This Buffing brush works great for blending the bronzer or contouring as well. You can even use it to blend blush or highlighters. While blending and buffing everything, the brush reaches out to the corners as well due to the fluffiness and softness of the bristles.

Durability – If a makeup brush isn’t durable, it is no point using it. However, with RT the story is different, the brushes are extremely sturdy and nice to deal with. I have been constantly using them for a month now and till now have washed 3-4times. The brushes have never shed a single bristle, lost the shape or even cleans up pretty well. I generally use the baby shampoo and swirl on the palm to clean it properly. The bristles are synthetic taklon bristles and thus one you soak all the water on a cotton tee, the brush around 1hr to dry (small brushes take less than an hour) overall. Therefore, I am extremely pleased to use these Real Techniques brushes.

OVERALL- The Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set comes with four brushes with multipurpose use of them and works like a charm for everyone. The bristles are soft, well-trimmed and blends everything profusely. Be it a beginner or professional, this is kit is highly recommended.

WHAT I LIKED

  • Sturdy case and brushes.
  • All the four brushes has the burnt bronze ferrules with black silicone handles.
  • The set has all 4 brushes – contour, foundation, buffing and detailing.
  • Multipurpose use.
  • Extremely durable brushes.
  • Never sheds a single bristle or loses the shape.
  • Easy to wash and dry.

WHAT I DISLIKED

  • None.

RATING – 9/10

Editor’s Note: You know I have been wanting to try RT brushes since a long time, but now I have too many other brushes. I might in the future. Loved the review and pictures.

Have you tried the Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set?

PAC Cosmetics Eyeliners & Kohls Review, Swatches

PAC Cosmetics Eyeliners & Kohls Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

So I got a few things from PAC Cosmetics and have already reviewed the beauty blender before. While it did tear in the first wash which I updated in that review, but it is still very much usable and I am quite loving it, just that I did not expect it to tear in the first wash :/

But today I am reviewing their eyeliners and kohls. They have two liquid liners and two kohl pencils. What I liked about them is that they are manufactured at Schwan Stabilo Cosmetics in Germany which is where Lakme Absolute, Colorbar, Faces, Kryolan and all of the major brands are manufactured. I am assured of the quality, plus the pricing is more affordable and comparatively cheap.

Starting with the liquid liners, they have a normal brush liquid liner and a pen liquid liner, though both are called pen, maybe coz of the stiff pen like applicator.

PAC Cosmetics High Shine Liquid Liner Pen

What the Company claims: The HIGH SHINE Liquid Eye Liner is long-lasting and does not smudge, crack, flake or peel. With its high definition  felt tip applicator, one stroke is enough to define a fine or thick line. Fast drying, Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is suitable for sensitive eyes and those who wear contact lenses too!.An eyeliner that should last you all day long

It comes in a liquid liner tube packaging, the brush is quite thin but stiff and easy to use. It is super glossy as the name suggests. It does dry quickly but it is not completely waterproof and also fades off in about 4-5 hours i.e. not very long lasting too.

PAC Cosmetics Liquid Liner Pen

What the Company claims: PAC LIQUID LINER PEN  is a unique product which is perfect for defining your eyes  without any application difficulty. Its professional flexible brush offers great accuracy to line and define the eyes, ensuring an even application. Enables ease of use with the optimal control to give jet black color.IT DRIES UP QUICKLY AND OUR CONSUMERS HAVE SAID THE BELOW RESULTS-

1-81% SAID IT IS WATERPROOF

2-90% SAID IT WAS LONG LASTING

3-87% PERCENT SAID IT WAS EASY AND QUICK TO APPLY

MRP: Rs.450/- for 1ml (BUY HERE)

It comes in a sleek pen form and the tip is quite fine and stiff, super easy to use and do winged liners with. You must have seen me using this a lot in my recent YouTube videos.

I love how pigmented this is, also it settles to a semi-matte finish, gives a deep, dark, defined line and stays put almost the whole day and until you remove it with a cleanser. It is not completely waterproof but it doesn’t fade or come off, though easy to wash off with a cleanser.

It is absolutely perfect, I have never liked any other liquid eyeliner pen after using the Maybelline HyperSharp and later their Colossal Liner. I stick to the Colossal Liner only, but I am glad I tried this, I quite like it. It’s a tie between this PAC Liquid Liner Pen and the Maybelline Colossal Liner for me. Comparing the two, Colossal doesnt’ stay that long and transfers a bit on the lids if it is too humid but easier to apply. PAC does stay put whole day and does not transfer but I would still prefer Colossal for ease of application, a tad bit more. So equal points 🙂

Top: High Shine Liner
Bottom: Liquid Liner Pen

If you like glossy liquid eyeliners, you can go for the High Shine one, but otherwise I would absolutely recommend the Liquid Liner Pen.

Coming to the kohls, they have the Intense Auto Kohl and the Long lasting Kohl Pencil.

PAC Cosmetics Intense Auto Kohl

What the Company claims: A retractable pencil which is an intense auto kohl kajal pencil. A pencil that will take your worries of sharpening the pencil again & again of your mind. The intense colour & matte texture of the pencil will add definition & drama to your eyes. The pencil has a waterproof property & does not transfer. Just because the pencil is intense & jet black. Hence it can be used as : A kajal AS WELL AS An eye liner

MRP: Rs.350/- (BUY HERE)

It is a retractable kohl with a smudger on one side. You can either use it just on your waterline or use it on the upper lashline and smudge for a soft, smokey effect.

It is quite dark and very smooth in texture, glides on easily. I have very watery eyes and no kohl stays long on me, this stays for about 3-4 hours before fading bit by bit. Pretty decent, I would say.

PAC Cosmetics Long Lasting Kohl Pencil

What the Company claims: The kajal pencil which is never going to make a tear fall out of your eye. You were always worried about your kajal smudging & spoiling your make-up look but this kajal is a answer to your all problems.

MRP: Rs.350/- (BUY HERE)

This is in pencil form and again with a smudger behind. You can wear it similarly for your waterline or a smokey effect on upper lashline. The only problem with pencil is you need to sharpen and a lot of it goes waste. But also this is more hygienic as the germs get sharpened and you get a fresh layer before using.

This is quite deep and dark, much more pigmented than the Auto Kohl. Glides on like butter and stays put once set, for about 6-7 hours at least. It doesn’t smear and hardly smudges. The shape and size, packaging is exactly like the Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate which is my most favourite and the most long staying kohl on me. Both are manufactured at the same place too, performance wise also they are quite close, I would say they are like 98-100% . While the Lakme Absolute one is priced at Rs.725 (usually around 544 post discount), this one is pretty affordable at Rs.350/-

Top: Longlasting Kohl Pencil
Bottom: Intense Auto Kohl

While both the kohls are priced at Rs.350/-, I would definitely recommend the pencil unless you only prefer retractable ones and hate wastage of product.

I totally recommend the PAC Cosmetics Liquid Liner Pen and Long Lasting Kohl. Very affordable and total value for money!

PAC Cosmetics 378 Brush: The solution to all your woes about contouring your face perfectly. This brush is expertly crafted using Superior quality bristles that place and blend the contour perfectly. Achieve a defined, chiseled and sculpted look by contouring your face to precision.

MRP: Rs.775/- (BUY HERE)

I am also using the PAC 378 brush for contouring, I love the slanted shape and it deposits the product exactly at the contours, where you need. And it works well both with cream/liquid and powder contour. If you are looking for a brush for contouring, I definitely recommend trying this one.

It is slightly expensive at Rs.775 but it’s totally worth it coz using a fluffy brush won’t deposit your contour in one line but spread it around, if you know what I mean. And it is one of the more affordable and value for money options in the makeup brushes category.

Have you tried any of the PAC Cosmetics Liners, Kohls or Brushes yet?

Sedona Lace Vortex Synthetic Professional Makeup Brush Set Review

Sedona Lace Vortex Synthetic Professional Makeup Brush Set Review

Hi guys,

Today I am reviewing the Sedona Lace Vortex Brush Set which I have since quite some time now, I got it around the time when I was shifting and I kept them safely somewhere. And the place was so safe that I just couldn’t find them :/ Happens with you too? Let me know in the comments below.

Anyhoo, I finally found them and have been using them since some time. I have even used them in a makeup tutorial which will be coming up soon.

What the Company claims: The Synthetic Vortex Collection exclusively designed by Renelyn Monteloyola of Makeup by Ren Ren for Sedona Lace. This pro line of brushes takes makeup application and technique to the next level. All of the brushes are multi-purpose and versatile. The pink and black colors on the bristles is a registered trade mark of Sedona Lace

MRP: $109.95

You can get the zipper belt at an additional cost of $10. So the brush set with zipper belt costs $119.95 (Buy HERE). I also have a special coupon code (without expiry i.e. lasts lifetime) for you guys where you can get $4 off on a minimum order of $15 on www.sedonalace.com , so if you want to buy just 1-2 brushes, still you can use that. The coupon code is ‘newlove’

I absolutely love the pink and black color to start with and that is a registered trademark of Sedona Lace. You get 13 brushes in total out of which one i.e. the angled brow shaper and spoolie is dual sided.

The brushes are all odd numbered from F01 to F23. Let’s start with the Face Brushes first.

FB01 is a jumbo fan brush which is the softest brush I have ever used! I just cannot stop touching it and it is perfect for dusting your powder or just cleaning your face or to apply highlighter on the high points of face, or your blush or contour.

FB03 is Tulip Contour Brush which is the perfect brush ever for contour coz it will perfectly fit in the hollow of your cheeks. Also this brush is great for diffusing your over done blush or highlighter or just give a final finish to the face.

FB05 is Dome Contour brush. It’s a multi tasking brush, apply your blush, contour or powders or powder foundation or buff in your high coverage cream/liquid foundations. This one will work with everything.

FB07 is a Flat Top Buffer Brush. Now flat top buffing brushes are perfect for foundations, be it cream/liquid/powder. Set your concealer with powder or use it on places to bake for precisely placing powders. Again multi purpose but best for foundations.

Coming to the eye brushes now,

EB09 is the Universal Blender brush which is good for applying shadows all over the lid and even blending for softer, diffused looks. Like a soft everyday brown eye makeup look or times when you just want to use one shade and sweep it across and blend the same.

EB11 is the Flat Synthetic Brush for applying metallic, glittery shadows and pigments on the lid i.e. mostly for patting shadows and not blending or sweeping them. Or even for applying your eyeshadow primer/base and concealer under the eyes. Also works to contour the sides of your nose.

EB13 is the Synthetic Blender brush. It has more dense and tapered bristles, it is absolutely perfect to blend your crease colors and create those dark smokey eyes.

EB15 is the Pointed Crease brush. It can be used for your cut crease looks or for looks where you don’t want to over blend or merge colors but just a softer edge.

EB17 is the Brow Spoolie Duo. Apply powder on the brows using the angled side and brush through with the spoolie to set it in place or diffuse the powder for a softer brow.

EB19 is the Bent Liner Brush. Now we do get it separately too in a few brands here like in Inglot and PAC Cosmetics. I had done a DIY long back with my Audrey Liner Brush by bending it a bit and the bent shape helps a lot in lining your eyes easily without getting in between the lashes.

EB21 is the Detailed Shader brush which is good for highlighting the brow bone or the inner corners or even smudging shadows on the lower lashline.

EB23 is the Angled Detailed Brush which can be used for gel liners or applying powder eyeshadows as liners on upper and lower lashline.

And lastly LB25 the Capped Lip Brush, it comes with a separate steel cap and can be folded and carried along. You can just remove the cap and place it below and use it like a normal lip brush. Good to carry along and precisely apply your lip colors especially the reds and deep berries which need precision.

So these were all the 13 brushes in the Vortex Synthetic Kit. I highly recommend getting the zipper belt if you are a makeup artist, coz the belt snuggly fits around your waist and you can pick up any brush you want and place it in the belt while working on a client.

And if you are just a beginner, you can go for this set without the belt. These brushes are all you will ever need for any makeup look. If you have these, you are pretty much sorted. I highly recommend these brushes and the quality is fabulous too. Super soft and the bristles hardly shed hair, majority of the brushes which I own as part of brush sets shed hair crazily!

Thumbs up from me, also if you can wait, they keep having offers on Black Friday, etc., where they sell these sets at half the price!! All the brushes from the set are pretty useful and it is total value for money. I did not have to pay customs on this. Shipping cost varies on distance and weight but they usually use USPS.

I personally love these and have been reaching out for these brushes quite often. I have 2-3 brush sets and none matches the Sedona Lace quality wise. It is very essential to have one good quality makeup brush set in your stash coz good quality brushes will make or break your entire makeup look. And if you invest in expensive makeup and the tools you use do not justify that, then the end result would not be good, trust me.

Let me know your thoughts on the Sedona Lace Vortex Synthetic Brush Set in the comments below.
