So this time I received the Fab Bag at my mom’s place the My Envy Box at my old address, so the delay in review or posted on social media directly.

January 2016 Fab Bag theme is ‘Beauty Resolutions’ coz we all have New Year resolutions 😀 The makeup print on the bag is super pretty and this is the perfect cosmetic bag for travel or storage, one of my most favourite Fab Bag bags!

Let’s come to the products, so I had an option to select one product in this month’s bag out of all the makeup options, and I had already tried everything else, so I went with the Laqa & Co. Nail Polish Pen coz I have never tried a nail polish pen and it was a nice, summery peach shade which I can’t wait to wear in summers.

I love the sound of both the Natural Bath & Body products and also the ingredients are pretty good. The French Red Clay mask has virgin coconut oil, turmeric powder, sandalwood extract, beetroot powder, kaolin clay, fuller’s earth, etc. And the Whipped cream is a blend of Vitamin E and argan oil. The cream is perfect for winters but I would prefer using the clay based mask in summers as clay based masks dry out my skin more though the coconut oil should balance it out, my skin is already super dry these days and I won’t risk it.

The Laqa & Co. Nail polish pen is in the shade Tweedledee is a nice pastel peach shade and also my first nail polish pen, quite happy that it’s a full sized product, can’t wait to try it out.

I love using serums and oils especially at night and in winters, currently I am obsessed with The Body Shop Oils Of Life Revitalizing Facial Oil, and this Votre Face serum sounds amazing with all the blend of essential and cold pressed oils in the ingredients. But my only worry is only active ingredients are mentioned :/ I hope it doesn’t break me out coz the Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir in the previous Fab Bag did break me out. I like the fact that this again is a full sized product.

And last but not the least, the BBlunt spotlight mini hair spray. Now I have 2 of the full sized ones and also one mini of this and I absolutely love it, it is perfect for adding some shine post your hairstyle and it gives slight hold too, though not much. It doesn’t make your hair stiff or hard and gives a nice sheen on the hair. This mini version is perfect for travel and/or handbag.

In all, I would say I loved this month’s Fab Bag and the fact that I got two full sized products, one hair spray mini and 2 deluxe sized samples and all the products are pretty good. Absolutely recommend getting this month’s bag if you still haven’t, also the bag in itself is really cute & quite useful.

Last month’s bag was also quite good, I hope this continues coz the products and bags have been really good from the past 2-3 months (except Nov) Touchwood!

You know the time when you have been out in the sun for a long, long time and terrible tanned and have an important meeting or event to attend! Well, aren’t those the terrible days,especially when you have a t-shirt or hair band tan line.

Fret not, coz now we have one innovative product which can help us in such SOS cases! Today I am reviewing the new Spinz Sun-Tan Remover Instant De-Tan Cream.

You just need to use a good 9g of this product as a mask, massage it a bit on the skin in small,circular motions and keep it for about 5-10 minutes and wash off. You can use it daily too, untill your skin is completely de-tanned or may be on a regular basis if you are someone who has to be in the sun almost daily, like if you have a job that requires you to travel a lot or you are in college.

It comes in different packaging from a one time sachet to a tube. The tube has white and purple packaging. It is a thick white cream,with an artificial scent but thank goodness, it is quite mild unlike bleaches.

Bleaches are something which burn my eyes instantly and my eyes turn red, even if I have used the mildest beach and the minutest quantity. I am glad this is a ‘No Bleach’ cream, did not burn my eyes and no strong bleach smell too.

The key ingredients of this cream are milk,lemon and honey. Lemon and the lactic acid in milk are especially known to de-tan the skin. Also, honey keeps the skin pH balanced and moisturised. It is dermatologically tested and safe for all skin types.

These pics are from the first time use and I notice some brightness on the skin in one use itself, though I was not very tanned to see a major difference.

Remember, this is NOT a daily wear moisturising cream which will blend into your skin. This is a mask which needs to be washed off after 5-10 minutes and is only used in this way.

You will feel a slight tingling sensation but that is very mild.

Now my skin is such that it takes months and months for the sun tan to completely go away. I saw a marked improvement with the first use,and a little better result on the 2nd and 3rd day. I am quite happy with the product.

If you have to attend a wedding, use it some time before you get ready for the function. And you can pair you fresh de-tanned skin with a pretty anarkali or a net saree with gold eyes and fuchsia/red lips.

Few things to remember:

  • Do not keep it longer than 10 minutes
  • Do not go out in the sun immediately after using it
  • Do not use a face wash/soap for 6 hours

Ingredients:

To start with, I know the tube has a big spelling error ‘Daed Sea’ but it is all natural and manmade and I guess it is made in a smaller batch and through small time artisans for packing,etc.

The Dead Sea of Jordan is supposed to be very good for skin with all the minerals and salts present in it. The main base ingredient in this mask is the dead sea soil. It is infused with the goodness of aloe vera and clay.

Now clay helps clean and tighten pores and controls oil production on the skin. Aloe Vera of course soothes and moisturises the skin.

It comes in a tube form and is a large tube. The mask is ash grey in color and clay like in texture but is a bit runny. Even though you shake the tube well before dispensing, it is runny and you have to be careful to not get excess product which usually happens with this one.

It is smooth to apply and does not tug since it is quite runny. I keep the mask for 15-20 minutes, though it dries completely in 10 minutes.

And while washing off, like I do with all face masks, I scrub the skin a bit with the mask. My skin feels fresh,renewed and tight. I even saw a difference in break outs with its regular usage, though when you stop using this for a long time in between, break outs start again.

I agree it is on the expensive side, but then it is all natural and made with dead sea. And also this tube is like huge and it will last a good time.

So yesterday night I had a sleepover with The Body Shop! Not literally :p But, the lovely people at The Body Shop had sent a surprise box and a letter for a sleepover. That’s all I knew, coz the box and letter was to be opened only when they told us the sleepover would be, and it was yesterday night.

As I read the letter first, I had to rip apart the box immediately, I couldn’t contain my excitement looking at all the cute stuff. See what all I got:

How to use: Smooth onto face before bed either alone or after Drops of Youth™ Concentrate, and allow to sink in overnight. Do not wash off. For best results, wait 15 minutes before going to bed.

It is white in color and gel-like in texture, feels bouncy indeed, difficult to get the product with hands. It comes with a small, white spatula. I used 2 small spatulas and massaged the product on the skin the same way as in the video. I let it absorb on the skin while I enjoyed my hot chocolate 🙂

Here is a picture of me with the mask on and the ‘After‘ is the morning ‘just washed with water’ face. The difference in light is due to night time and day time light. Also, you can see the shine on the face in the pic with the mask as it was still getting absorbed.

My skin indeed felt softer,hydrated and smoother. There was no dryness or stretchiness and skin looked refreshed.

I like the fact that it comes with a spatula which makes it hygienic and easy to get the product. But it comes in a heavy glass jar, so it is not exactly travel friendly.

I was very happy with the ‘Sleepover’ idea and the kit, one of the best ideas by The Body Shop. Also, this is one of the best kits I have ever received from a brand.

I actually slept very peacefully yesterday after ages, I don’t know what exactly worked for me, but no nightmares haunting me (Which has been happening since a lot of days, the same old ‘accident’ scenes) and I slept for a long,long time 😀

Thank you The Body Shop for the kit and the sleepover idea.

I loved the mask and I am going to continue using it, would update you guys.
