OPI Nail Envy

This is the perfect basecoat for me, and my favorite That I have used so far. This does not even take into account the repute Also it is an awesome nail strengthener, ridge filler and surface smoother, plus it has a pretty, shiny finish.

Best Use  – Basecoat and Nail Treatment

Description  – Nail strengthener or hardener, intended to “Provide maximum strengthening with hydrolyzed wheat protein and calcium for harder, stronger, natural nails! Ideal for weak, damaged nails. ”

Formula  – Medium That consistency is super easy to work with and spreads out easily and evenly over the nail bed

Color  – Clear, shiny finish like shown in the picture above. NOT true to bottle. OPI Also makes a matte version.

Dry Time  – 5 minutes to none-tacky/15 minutes to dry (one coat)

Durability  – Lasts a long time, just two coats alone will stay on without chipping longer than 7 days. However, if you follow the directions and keep layering it on, Should not you notice any chipping or wear.

Price: Rs 1355

OPI’s Chip Skip

This is a product that you would use in addition to a base coat, not instead of it. It works by Dehydrating the surface of your nails, absorbing any surface moisture or surface oils. By Eliminating That layer of moisture or oil, it really lets your nail polish adhere to your nails and stops your nail polish from chipping easily.

The consistency is liquid, as runny as water, but it dries instantly, you can watch it do this within seconds.

All you do is paint it onto your nails, you do not even need to be careful with application as there is nothing to clean up, and then straight away you can apply your favorite base coat.

Price: Rs 1036

Available at leading salons and beauty stores. Also available at Salons Juice:-Khar: 26045317, Colaba: 22151109, Vashi: 67934581, Santacruz: 26480079, Pune Marriott Hotel: 65003936.

L’oreal Color Rich Le Vernis 208 So Chic Pink Review, NOTD

L’oreal Color Rich Le Vernis 208 So Chic Pink Review, NOTDI showed you the L’oreal L’Or Sunset Collection HERE. The shade So Chic Pink was a part of this collection.

What the Company claims: THE 1ST GEL BASED NAIL POLISH WITH A BUILT IN TOP COAT.With a formula that combines rich pigments, pearlescents and optical effects, L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis offers an extensive collection of 49 modern and fashionable shades. The mini 5ml bottle allows every woman to mix and match her favourite hues from the range to complement her every mood, occasion and look.

An exceptional formula with a built-in Top Coat
The ultra-fine ingredients in the formula are combined in a liquid gel base, the Liquigel, so the polish glides on smoothly and easily during application and provides even coverage over the entire nail.
A patented brush
Delivers just the right dose of polish for a one-stroke application in which each stroke applies an even amount of product all along the nail.

MRP: Rs.225/- for 5ml

Being a gel based nail polish, the texture is definitely amazing..and super easy to use..does not get gloopy in 2nd or 3rd coat unlike the normal ones..

The brush is amazing !! I have never got such neat application with any nail polish ever..I loveee the brush.

With 2 coats, you get the perfect opaque coverage..and it stays well for 3-4 days but starts chipping from the tips first..though the rest stays on pretty long..almost 7-8 days.

Coming to the shade So Chic Pink, I think its a super pretty coral red..not a normal bright red and not neonish coral too…a perfect blend of two..and also I got compliments for this nail polish and 3-4 girls asked me which shade was that 😀

Only pinch I see is the price..for a small 5ml bottle, its definitely pricey 🙁 Though I so loved the texture , brush and staying power, I would be surely getting more of these 😀

Essie Nail Polish Fiji, Mint Candy Apple- Review, NOTD

Essie Nail Polish in Fiji and Mint Candy Apple

Guest Post by Sophia

When you’re choosing an outfit, you think about choosing the right shoes, jewellery or handbag but even more so lately having the right nail polish colour is essential! Now I have a number of different nail polishes from a variety of brands, but there are still some which I have yet to add to my collection and up until recently it was Essie nail polish.

About the product: Go girly and get glam with Essie Nail Polish – Fiji. It’s a lightweight polish with high-powered shine that not only strengthens nails, but imparts long-lasting, intense color.

MRP: £7.99  for .5 fl oz

Key Ingredients: Nitrocellulose strengthens nails while providing flawless texture. Mica adds a gentle shine to finished nails.

How to use it: Apply one to two coats of polish to dry, clean nails. Follow with a top coat for longer wear.

L-R: Mint Candy Apple, Fiji

Full Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Propyl Acetate, Tosylamide/Formaldehyde Resin, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Tripheneyl Phosphate, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Ethyl Tosylamide, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Diacetone Alcohol, Camphor, Polyvinyl Butyral, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Benzophene-1, Citric Acid, Dimethicone, Silica, Trimethylsiloxysilicate

May Contain: CI 47005:1 (D&C Yellow #10), CI 47000 (D&C Yellow #11), CI 77163 (Bismuth Oxychloride), Mica CAS 12001-26-2, CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), Polyethylene Terephthalate, CI 15850:1 (Red 7 Lake), CI 15850 (Red 6 Lake), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 15880 (Red 34 Lake), CI 77491 (Red Iron), CI 77499 (Black Iron), CI 77510 (Ferric Ammonium Ferrocycyanide), CI 75170 (Guanine), CI 42090 (Blue 1 Lake), CI 60725 (Violet 2), CI 17200 (Red 33), CI 77000 (Aluminum Powder), CI 73360 (Red 30), CI 26100 (Red 17), CI 42053 (Green 3), CI 77288 (Chromium Oxide Green), CI 77007 (Ultramarines), CI 77266 (Black 2), Dibenzoxazoyl, Naphtalene

Fiji, Mint Candy Apple

I picked up ‘Mint Candy Apple’(I’m just crazy about mint colours) and ‘Fiji’(for a more neutral tone).  ‘Mint Candy Apple’ is a fresh, mint green with a slight bluish hue. It is a little reminiscent of candy in some ways because of its pastel shade so the name is quite fitting. ‘Fiji’ is a very pale pink, verging on white which although looks simple it elongates the nails, making the hand slimmer and longer.

First of all I really like the packaging! I love the neat cube like bottles, with Essie embossed on 2 opposite sides of glass. It’s has a delicate ‘e’ groove on top of the lid too.

The nail lacquer is of a medium consistency, not too thick and not too runny which is ideal in my opinion! The application is really smooth and the brush is wide enough to cover the surface area of the nail in a few strokes. The colour is quite sheer after the first coat, but a second coat really finishes it off and by then it’s perfectly opaque. The polish is quite long lasting and I found it stayed put on my nails for at least a week before I noticed any signs of chipping.

Essie nail polish is slightly pricier than drugstore favourites such as Rimmel or Barry M, at around £7.99 but I certainly think they’re worth the money! There’s a gorgeous selection of colours to choose from, bold shades, pastels, glitters and more – it’s hard not to buy them all!

Love Sophia xo

These have a slimmer and better packaging..I liked the bottle..and also the brush..it spreads evenly and faster. Also its dries fast.
Crimson Red is a true bridal red shade…I love such reds..Another similar one I like is Street Wear Bridal Red. But since I found this now..and its Acetone, DBP and toluene free..I am sticking onto this..and surely getting this for my red stock forever !
Pros:1. Its Acetone, DBP and Toluene free.
2. Did not chip for 6 days and then chipped a little at the tips.

4. The shade is opaque enough and just 2 coats are required.
5. Dries fast.
6. Economical at the price..as it offers 8ml.Cons:

1. Availability is a problem with Lotus Herbals Cosmetics.
