Today I am reviewing the 8 new shades added in the Nykaa Matteilicious Range, since I had not tried it before, I have also included a review.

They come in a standard lip crayon packaging, the difference between these and the Pout Perfect ones in terms of packaging is that Pout Perfect has a matching colour cap according to shade while this only has the bottom colour coded with a black cap and Pout Perfect doesn’t come with a sharpener, you need to buy it separately and this one does.
They have a smooth, velvet finish and glide on effortlessly as claimed. They have a velvet matte finish and are very comfortable on the lips. Everything as per claims.
These are not transfer proof and stay for about 5-6 hours without eating or drinking. These do not emphasize dry lips or fine lines, however you would need exfoliated lips before wearing these like any matte lipstick.

I have swatched all the new 8 shades here.
Kiss N Tell is a cool toned apple red, very flattering on all skin tones. I absolutely love this red on me.
Purple Punk is an aubergine purple, but this one is not super opaque like the rest. Slightly patchy
Fired Up is a bright tangerine orange, kind of patchy. Mostly such bright oranges are patchy across brands, I guess it’s the colour pigment.
Lacy Luck is a neutral brown, an everyday wear shade, would work for fair to medium skin tones
Jade Rose is my absolute favourite, a pink brown. It would work for all skin tones, an MLBB for deeper skin tones.
Mocha Sin is a very cool toned grey brown.
Twilight Dreams is another favourite, a deep berry brown shade without red undertones. A perfect fall shade.
Call Me Scarlet is a warm toned red, again suitable for all skin tones.
Apart from the light neutrals, all shades would work across skin tones. And I am glad they launched an interesting mix of shades.
My favourites are Lacy Luck, Jade Rose and Twilight Dreams. Also both the reds are quite pretty, and a matte red lipstick never goes out of trend.
Overall, I do like the lipsticks. Formula is great, shades are nice, very comfortable on the lips. I do recommend these.

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Nykaa has been killing it with new launches day by day. Few weeks ago they had launched the Matte-ilicious Lip Crayons and now these Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.
I haven’t tried the Matte-ilicious Crayons, but have been trying out these ones since more than a week now.
Here are my thoughts..

It comes in the black wooden pencil packaging with a shade matching base. Other crayon from Nykaa comes with a sharpener, so I wish this came with a sharpener too. These are so light weight, that you don’t even feel the box has anything if you hold the outer box.
These are very creamy and buttery, super moisturizing and glide on easily. Very light and comfortable on the lips, easy to carry around and re-apply.
Pigmentation is pretty good too, you get opaque coverage in two swipes. They stay for a pretty good time, I have worn it for 4-5 hours but with meal, they do fade away and have to be re-applied. These are not transfer proof though.
Only thing would be these are not matte, they have a slight sheen to it all the time. There are days when I don’t want something too drying and most of the days currently, so I do reach out for these often.
They come in 6 shades and all are pretty nice and interesting, one from each colour family.

Crushing on Pink is a medium peachy pink
Brick Me Red is a rust red
Nude Me Not is a cool toned grey beige/greige

I love Please Plum Me, Kiss N Tell Pink and Nude Me Not. I do recommend these, they are pretty good for the price. I only wish they were a little more matte and came with a sharpener.

To start with the packaging, it has color coded matching outer cover and black body. The packaging is similar to the MAC Liptensity lipsticks and looks very classy from the outside. The inner part however is flimsy and plasticky, it’s not very sturdy and the body shakes a bit. Also the bullets are not very sturdy, one of my lipstick bullet came off on it’s own. I had not even started swatching them or using them, just opening and twisting, maybe one was already broken.
But if you drop them once, the lipstick bullet will break and come off. I like the So Matte magnetic packaging more as it was sturdier comparatively. You have to be very careful with this one.
Also the shape of the lipstick bullet is flat and I hate applying lipsticks which are flat on top as application on the edges of the lips is very difficult and the lipstick goes everywhere :/ You have to use the tip on the edges, but the flat shape often goes outside.
Formula though is pretty good! These are super pigmented, all these hand swatches are 1.5-2 swipes each like I didn’t even need to go two full times over them. Same for my lips, in two swipes you get complete, opaque coverage. See in the swatches video, I wanted to show that specifically.
These have a semi matte finish again, but are more pigmented and rich in colour compared to So Matte. These stay for 4-5 hours, and even longer without eating or drinking. With eating, it will fade from the center but leaves a strong tint behind which stays on throughout. I like the staying power
These are very moisturising nad comfortable on the lips. I love the shade selection they have, everything from nudes and pinks to deep purples and browns. A perfect shade range, also the affordable price tag!
I have divided them into six each, 1 to 6 and 7 to 12 for convenience.
01 Nude Spice is a cool toned nude
02 Cool Girl Nude is a more deeper nude brown, again cool toned
03 No Chill Orange is a bright, warm orange
04 Peaches N Cream is a beautiful peachy pink mix
05 Tender Rose is a cool toned bright rosy pink

07 Rock N Roll Pink is a bright fuchsia pink
08 Purple Monster is a bluish purple
09 Bombshell Berry is a deep berry
10 Rebellious Red is a bright cool toned red, reminds me a little of MAC Ruby Woo. Of course formula wise, completely different
11 Hearts N Kisses is a warmer red
12 Grunge Brown is a deep, dark chocolate brown

Also another con would be the shade name is only mentioned on the outer box, I had to remove those stickers and stick them on the lipstick, as the actual lipsticks only have numbers.
My favourite shades are Cool Girl Nude, Peaches N Cream, Tender Rose, Chick Flick Pink, Rock N Roll Pink, Rebellious Red and Grunge Brown. I know I have many favourites 😀 Even like the first Nude Spice, perfect everyday shade. Even Peaches N Cream and Tender Rose are good everyday wear shades.

The packaging is same as all other Nykaa lipsticks, black and magnetic with the matching shade name cover on the bottom.
The formula, staying power all being same, let me quickly talk about the shades.
They have numbers 21 to 28 from lighter to darkest nudes. 21 to 24 will work for lighter skin tones and 25 to 28 for deeper skin tones. Though the shades 25 to 28 work well on medium to fair skin tones giving it a deep lip look and not a nude lip colour look.

Royal Honey is warmer than Caramel Mocha and has more brown
Hot Cocoa is a nude mauve
Praline Cookie is the darkest from first four, this is where the darker shades start, as the first three are lighter nudes. It is a nude warm brown, deeper than Caramel Mocha and Royal Honey.
All Nykaa So Matte Fall/Winter Lipsticks Review, Swatches

I had reviewed the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks earlier HERE. They came up with 8 new shades in the Fall/Winter collection later on, I had these since quite some time but couldn’t review as was on bed rest then.
Recently they have also launched the new matte nude collection, again beautiful 8 shades. I can’t wait to try those.
The packaging, price, formula is all the same. It has matching stickers behind the lipsticks with the shade names this time.
These are creamy, comfortable matte and not proper ‘matte’. So don’t expect these to be complete dry and powder finish, these are creamy and moisturizing and you may see some shine on the lips initially in quite a few shades. It will blot down later on, but these are very easy to wear unlike the drying matte lipsticks. And also these do not accentuate lines or dryness. I love the formula and pigmentation of these!
They stay for around 4-5 hours and deeper colors even longer, without eating or drinking. With eating, this will fade and will need touch up.

I love how they are adding more and more browns/nudes and beautiful everyday shades which no other brand in India usually does. I have always seen reds and pinks and oranges and I am so fed up of those. Pretty happy with the color range Nykaa offers each time!

First of all, I love the packaging! It’s all black rectangular packaging with a magnetic cap. For the price, the packaging is very classy!
Also you get 4.2 g product which is the maximum one gets in a lipstick, and I am glad the quantity is good too.
They are super pigmented and you will need two swipes to get even, opaque coverage on the lips. The finish is creamy matte, so they are not dry or powder matte like the MAC Matte or the Chambor Matte Lipsticks. They glide on super easily and feel very comfortable on the lips.
They are not transfer proof and will transfer on all cups, glasses, etc. But the pigment is so strong, that it doesn’t fade on transferring. It stays put for 5-6 hours and with light snacks and tea. With a full meal and oil based food, it will fade. But it does fade evenly and leaves a nice stain behind.
At first, I only liked 3 shades thinking rest of the shades are the usual and nothing different. But when I tried them on, I was like I like this too and this too and it went on 😀

Overall, I would say these are a total value for money! In terms of price, quantity, quality, shades, formula, they score on everything. Highly recommend them!

I really like the Wella Pro Elements Range, read my review HERE. It is SLS and paraben free and perfect for colored/treated hair, this deluxe sample size is perfect to try out and/or for travel.
I am loving the Sugar Matte Lipstick, love their Matte Crayon too, so was looking forward to the lipstick. Quite excited to try that out. It comes in this magenta pink shade, a muted berry, a nude and a coral.
I have 3-4 of Nykaa nail paints and they are quite decent, I love this summery shade and would definitely be wearing it.
The Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub smells amazing, but since it’s a body scrub, this 30g sample would only work once.
Overall, I would say it’s a mixed bag, not a must have but pretty decent if you are into matte lipsticks and wanted to try the Wella Pro Elements Range, a nail paint and bag are added bonus 😀
The value of the products come to around Rs.1200/- which is still not bad and the deluxe sizes are decent too.

I wanted to try these both since a long time but never really went to the store for just 1 product and you know how it is with Forest Essentials, once you go into the store, you want everything and get confused most of the times 😀 I am glad we can buy these Luxury Beauty brands including a few which are not available in India, on Amazon.in now 🙂
