New MUFE Aqua Matic Eyeshadow, Pro Sculpting Brow Review, Swatches

New MUFE Aqua Matic Eyeshadow, Pro Sculpting Brow Review, Swatches

New MUFE Aqua Matic Eyeshadow, Pro Sculpting Brow Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

Today I am reviewing two new Make Up For Ever launches in India, the Aqua Matic eye shadow crayon and the Pro Sculpting Brow Pen.

Aqua Matic Eyeshadow

Claims: A long-lasting, ultra gliding eye shadow pencil from mat to diamond finishes.

Available in 15 shades

MRP: Rs. 1600 for 1.4g

I have the shade ME-50 which is described as a metallic golden taupe. The packaging is quite nice, it has a matching shade cap and base. It is retractable and also comes with a sharpener at the other end to get a fine tip.

I love the shade, as described it’s a mix of gold and taupe. It’s very neutral and perfect for everyday as it is. If you want more colour on your lids, you can use it as an eyeshadow base since just this on it’s own, gives a sheer wash of colour.

The biggest con would be that it dries super quick! You have to do one eye at a time and blend it immediately. If you wait, it will set and then it won’t budge at all. It does mean that it’s smudge proof and water resistant and would stay put whole day!

Coming to the Pro Sculpting Brow

Claims: Become a brow expert with new Make Up For Ever PRO SCULPTING BROW. This 3-in-1 tool works to define, contour and highlight brows for a perfectly sculpted, transformed look.

MRP: Rs. 1975 for 1.9g

Available in 5 shades

I have the shade 50 which is Brown Black. It’s a retractable pencil with a spoolie on one end and white powder in between to clean the edges and highlight the brow bone.

Convenient and travel friendly, I really the pencil side. It’s super pigmented and defines and fills in the eye brows super quick. The spoolie helps smooth and blend out the colour with the natural eyebrow hair.

Not a fan of the highlighting powder, it didn’t do much. But the pencil is definitely amazing.

Here I have used both of these..

Overall I do like the Aqua Matic eyeshadow and the pencil side of the Pro Sculpting Brow. I do personally prefer eyebrow pencils as they are much more convenient. Givenchy Eyebrow Pencil is my absolute favourite, though it has to be sharpened. But I feel the MUFE one is soon going to be a new favourite!

Make Up For Ever is available at Sephora stores in India.

Have you tried the two new MUFE launches?

Oriflame The One Lip Sensation Vinyl Gel Review, Swatches

Oriflame The One Lip Sensation Vinyl Gel Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

I had clicked these and recorded the video quite some time back, never got around posting this. So here it is..

I have all the 7 shades of the Oriflame The One Lip Sensation Vinyl Gel.

Claims: Super-light liquid lipstick goes on like a gel, with an ultra-smooth plexigloss finish in 7 intense shades. Non-sticky, extreme colour coverage. Glides on easily for super-slick lips with perfect colour clarity. Conditioning formula keeps lips feeling soft. A definite head-turner.

MRP: Rs.699/- for 5ml

These come in a clear tube packaging and look exactly like a gloss. These are glossy liquid lipsticks but the lighter shades are not very pigmented and on the sheer side, hence work more like lip glosses.

L-R: Sunset Burst, Pink Flamingo, Purple Rumba, Malibu
Blush, Tangerine Tango, Pink Mambo, Magentic Magenta

The deeper shades though can be worn on their own like a glossy liquid lipstick. These can be worn on their own or over a lip liner/lipstick for more coverage, especially if you have pigmented lips.

They are super moisturizing and very light weight and comfortable on the lips. They are easy to carry around and reapply. They stay for about 2-3 hours without eating or drinking and fade evenly.

Definitely pricey, but worth buying during offers.

L-R: Sunset Burst, Pink Flamingo, Malibu Blush, Purple
Rumba, Pink Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Magentic Magenta

Here are the swatches..

I love Purple Rumba, Magnetic Magenta and Pink Mambo.

Have you tried the Oriflame The One Lip Sensation Vinyl Gel before? Let me know your favourite shade.

July 2017 Fab Bag Review & Giveaway

July 2017 Fab Bag Review & Giveaway

Hi guys,

I got my Fab Bag today, I know it was super quick this time. From the past few months, I was receiving it a day or two later than usual.

It’s a bright peach coloured bag, and has a wristlet band, perfect colour for monsoons.

The theme for this month is ‘The Colour Drama’

MRP: Rs.599/- per month (Buy HERE)

Products I got:

  • Sugar Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick Viola – Full size with sharpener: Rs.799/-
  • Kronokare Hydrate The Hair Shampoo: Rs.165 for 55ml
  • Just Herbs Herb Enriched Skin Tint: Rs.385/- for 15g
  • Tvakh Fruit Enzyme Alcohol Free Toner: Rs.160/- for 50ml

I have got Tvakh products before and I really like them. This toner is alcohol free and enzyme based, hence it will have a light all natural AHA/BHA exfoliation (coz of all the fruit enzymes). I am really looking forward to trying this out.

The Just Herbs tint does look good for daily use, it has a light coverage which evens out the skin tone. But it is quite expensive for the qty and it’s just 15g

Kronokare is again all parabens and chemicals free, a good travel size bottle.

Most excited for the Sugar Matte As Hell Lip Crayon, I had the option of picking one lipstick from all the 11 new Sugar lipstick launches i.e. the Matte As Hell Lip Crayon and the It’s A Pout Time Vivid Lipsticks. I have swatched all of them HERE and HERE.

Since I already had them, I picked the shade Viola for one of you, as most of you loved this shade! And it’s my favourite shade too.

I am giving it away on my YouTube in the video above, so do participate 🙂

The total value of the products in this month’s bag is around Rs.1500/-

Overall I would say if you anyway planning to get one of the new Sugar lipsticks, then at the price of Rs.599/-, you get the lipstick plus thee other things and the bag. Pretty good deal! I do recommend it.

Did you get your July Fab Bag? Which lipstick did you pick? Do let me know in the comments below.

Himalaya Herbals Anti-Hair Fall Range Review : #4FabulousHair

Himalaya Herbals Anti-Hair Fall Range Review : #4FabulousHair

Hi guys,

Many of us are facing hair fall with our current lifestyle and water. Diet is something which we have to take care of, to reduce hair fall. If we lack iron/folic acid, proteins, water/zinc/omega-3, we need to add them in our diet through food or multi-vitamins.

The external factors like dirt, harsh shampoos, hard water, dandruff, etc. which lead to hair fall can be controlled with a proper range of hair care and correct use.

Himalaya Herbals has an entire anti-hair fall range and I gave that a try..

There are four steps in their range and four products i.e. oil, shampoo, conditioner and cream.

Steps

Anti-Hair Fall Oil

Claims: Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Hair Oil prevents hair fall and stimulates hair growth. It is enriched with the goodness of Bhringaraja and Amalaki which strengthen the root shafts and prevent hair fall.

Key ingredients:

Bhringaraja is rich in phytochemicals like eclalbosaponins and wedelolactone which help promote hair growth and strengthen the hair root, and keeping hair healthy.

Amalaki, a natural hair tonic used extensively in Ayurveda, is an effective ingredient for treating the hair and scalp. It strengthens hair follicles and promotes hair growth.

Directions for use: Part your hair and apply Anti-Hair Fall Hair Oil on the scalp. Massage the scalp gently in a circular motion using your fingertips so that the oil is absorbed into the scalp. Leave for an hour or more before washing.

MRP: Rs.100/- for 100ml

Ingredients:

Anti- Hair Fall Shampoo

Claims: Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo is a breakthrough 2-in-1 formula that reduces hair fall and provides nourishment to hair shafts. It also conditions and improves your hair texture to reduce hair fall due to breakage. The herbs Butea Frondosa and Bhringaraja stimulate hair follicle growth and are effective in strengthening hair roots and controlling hair fall.

Key ingredients:

Butea Frondosa or ‘flame of the forest’ is native to India and Southeast Asia. It strengthens hair and helps promote hair growth.

Bhringaraja is traditionally used in Ayurveda for hair growth and hair dyeing. It nourishes the hair root, improves hair texture and reduces hair fall.

Directions for use: Gently massage the shampoo into wet hair and scalp. Leave for two to three minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

Effective for all hair types. Safe to use on artificially colored or permed hair.

MRP: Rs.130/- for 200ml

Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner

Claims: Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner nourishes, fortifies, and improves the texture of hair, making it smooth, soft, and healthy. Enriched with protein-rich herbs like Bringaraja and Chickpea, it stimulates hair follicle growth and effectively strengthens hair strands and roots, helping control hair fall.

Key ingredients:

Bhringaraja

Butea Frondosa (Palasha)

Chickpea, a rich, natural source of protein, effectively nourishes hair, making it healthy and strong.

Directions for use: After shampooing, gently apply Himalaya Anti-Hair fall Conditioner along the length of wet hair from base to tip. Leave for two minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

For best results, use in combination with Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Oil, Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo, and Anti-Hair Fall Hair Cream.

MRP: Rs.130/- for 200ml

Anti-Hair Fall Cream

Claims: Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Cream is a unique, daily-use formula which reduces hair fall and strengthens hair follicles. The goodness of essential herbs like Bhringaraja and Amla nourish hair from the roots, help reduce hair fall, improve hair growth, and strengthen hair follicles.

Key ingredients:

Bhringaraja

Amla

Directions for use: Massage Anti-Hair Fall Cream gently into the scalp using a circular motion. Use regularly before and after shampooing to reduce hair fall and maintain healthy hair.

For best results, shampoo hair with Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo.

MRP: Rs.80/- for 100ml

The cream can be used before or after hair wash i.e. as a deep conditioner. I either oil my hair if I have an hour before I shampoo or I use the cream as a pre treatment, 10-15 minutes before washing my hair.

The oil is very light in texture and non-sticky as claimed, it gets absorbed easily and is easy to wash off as well. It does help a bit with hair fall, I will have to use it more regularly to see visible results in hair growth though.

Both the shampoo and conditioner are white in colour and have a soft, floral smell. They are very light weight and do not weigh down the hair or make them flat.

Shampoo foams and cleans the scalp well, and the conditioner does moisturize the ends and give them enough hydration. But if you have very dry hair and need extra hydration towards the ends, I would suggest using the cream regularly.

The cream is very rich and moisturizing, it’s perfect for dry hair. I love using it as a pre-treatment, so that it doesn’t weigh down my hair and yet I get it’s benefits.

Overall I am loving this range and I definitely see a visible difference in my hair fall during and post hair wash, plus regularly too. The hair I see each time I comb my hair, is reduced to a great extent.

If you are looking for a good anti-hair fall hair care range, definitely try out this new Himlaya Herbals Range.

Have you tried the Himalaya Herbals Anti- Hair Fall Range yet?

They are one of my most favourite lipstick collection from Lakme, Pink Fantasy is a forever favourite. I am glad they have added interesting shades in this range.

11 Six Feet Umber is a berry brown mix and my absolute favourite. This shade is universal and will work on all skin tones

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

Nykaa has been killing it with new launches day by day. Few weeks ago they had launched the Matte-ilicious Lip Crayons and now these Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.

I haven’t tried the Matte-ilicious Crayons, but have been trying out these ones since more than a week now.

Here are my thoughts..

Claims: Meet Nykaa’s Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, a triple-action crayon that does it all! This perfectly pigmented crayon gives you the coverage of a matte lipstick, precision of a liner, and blendability of a blusher. The blend of Vitamin E and Shea Butter creates a plush texture that adds youthful plumpness in one hot minute! Line, fill and dab some of it on your cheek for a naturally flushed look.

  • Plush, velvet matte finish
  • Enriched with Vitamin E and Shea Butter
  • No feathering
  • One stroke application
  • Super long-wearing
  • Glides on effortlessly

MRP: Rs.499/- for 4.9g

Shades Available:

  • Please Plum Me
  • Kiss N Tell Pink
  • Crushing on Pink
  • Brick Me Red
  • Nude Me Not
  • Call Me Red, Darling

It comes in the black wooden pencil packaging with a shade matching base. Other crayon from Nykaa comes with a sharpener, so I wish this came with a sharpener too. These are so light weight, that you don’t even feel the box has anything if you hold the outer box.

These are very creamy and buttery, super moisturizing and glide on easily. Very light and comfortable on the lips, easy to carry around and re-apply.

Pigmentation is pretty good too, you get opaque coverage in two swipes. They stay for a pretty good time, I have worn it for 4-5 hours but with meal, they do fade away and have to be re-applied. These are not transfer proof though.

Only thing would be these are not matte, they have a slight sheen to it all the time. There are days when I don’t want something too drying and most of the days currently, so I do reach out for these often.

They come in 6 shades and all are pretty nice and interesting, one from each colour family.

Please Plum Me is a deep aubergine/plum

Kiss N Tell Pink is a medium fuchsia pink

Crushing on Pink is a medium peachy pink

Brick Me Red is a rust red

Nude Me Not is a cool toned grey beige/greige

Call Me Red, Darling is a warm coral red

I love Please Plum Me, Kiss N Tell Pink and Nude Me Not. I do recommend these, they are pretty good for the price. I only wish they were a little more matte and came with a sharpener.

Have you tried the new Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils?

Hi guys,

Sugar Cosmetics has added 6 new shades to their Matte As Hell Lip Crayons and all of them are beautiful!

Today I am reviewing and swatching the 6 new shades.

MRP: Rs.799/- (Buy HERE)

The packaging as you know is matte black with the shade co-ordinated base which makes it easy to find. The formula is super pigmented and matte, you get an intense colour pay off in one swipe. It comes with a sharpener and is easy to sharpen and use, the clean point gives a nice edge to define the lips.

These are not transfer proof,  but they stay pretty long, even the lighter colours. It has stayed on me for 5-6 hours minimum and fades a bit even after a full complete lunch with dal and curd. It doesn’t go away, but just fades and you can easily reapply it.

Coming to the shades..

06 Coraline Jones is a warm orange coral

07 Viola is a beautiful mauve nude

08 Jackie Brown is a reddish brown, would work for all skin tones, especially deep skin tones

09 Princess Peach is a true warm peach

10 Cherry Darling is a gorgeous deep cherry red

11 Elle Woods is brown nude, a good everyday shade

L-R: Coraline Jones, Viola, Jackie Brown, Princess Peach, Cherry Darling, Elle Woods

Here are the swatches..

I love all the shades, I can’t really choose and definitely recommend these. If I have to pick, I will say Viola, Jackie Brown and Elle Woods.

I would suggest Princess Peach, Elle Woods and Viola for fair to medium skin tones and Jackie Brown, Cherry Darling for deep skin tones. Actually both Coraline Jones and Cherry Darling would work for all.

I hope you liked the video and the swatches, do let me know your favourite shade in the comments below.

New Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks Review, Swatches

New Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks Review, Swatches

Claims: Lakme 9 to 5 primer matte is the first lip colour with built-in primer for a long lasting, matte finish. The built-in primer makes the colour stay comfortably for 12 long hours. It also has a smooth application ensures an intense colour payoff.

The key primer ingredient ensures that the lipstick gives a smooth finishes and feels extremely comfortable on your lips.

Pro Tip: For a precision pro-matte finish, line your lips with the Lakme 9 to 5 lip liner and follow it up with Lakme 9 to 5 primer matte lipstick.

12 hours long stay
Comfortable matte finish
In built primer
Smooth and comfortable application
Available in 30 shades
Intense matte finish with vibrant colour payoff

MRP: Rs.480/- for 3.6g (Buy HERE)

Shades Available:

  • Maple Map
  • Caramel Cut
  • Coffee Command
  • Rosy Mind
  • Rosy Sunday
  • Cherry Chic
  • Cabernet Category
  • Brownie Point
  • Plum Pick
  • Pink Perfect
  • Sorbet Tuesday
  • Berry Base
  • Red Rebel
  • Vermillion Fired
  • Orange Edge
  • Crimson Catch
  • Saffron Gossip
  • Red Letter
  • Red Coat
  • Choco Break
  • Roseate Motive
  • Blush Book
  • Espresso Shot
  • Fuchsia File
  • Pink Post
  • Brick Blush
  • Scarlet Surge
  • Ruby Rush
  • Crimson Cue
  • Maroon Mix

Phew 😀 That’s a lot of shades, I am really glad Lakme has come up with 30 shades in this range and there is a huge variety in terms of shades and undertones, in nudes, reds, oranges, pinks, berries.

The rose gold outer packaging is same as all 9 to 5 lipsticks, I do like the outer packaging but it is plastic at the end and not very firm from inside, the bullet base is quite loose and flimsy, so you have to be careful.

T-B: Saffron Gossip, Rosy Mind, Cabernet Category, Rosy Sunday, Cherry Chic

The formula is matte, but very comfortable matte. They are not as dragging or drying matte as MAC or Ingot Matte formula. They feel very light weight on the lips. Pigmentation is amazing, they give full opaque coverage in 1.5-2 swipes and they glide on like butter.

They claim to have an in built primer and stay put for 12 hours. Well it obviously doesn’t stay for 12 hours, these stay for the normal 4-5 hours on the lips without eating or drinking. With a full meal in between, it will fade and transfer and will need re-application.

These are not transfer proof and do transfer on everything, the only good thing is they do fade evenly and they don’t go away completely from the lips but they do leave some colour/stain behind.

In terms of pigmentation, formula, shade range, pricing, I do love them and recommend them.

L-R: Cherry Chic, Rosy Sunday, Cabernet Category, Rosy Mind, Saffron Gossip

The shades I have..

Cherry Chic is a rust red

Rosy Sunday is a pinky brown

Cabernet Category is a medium berry brown

Rosy Mind is a medium rosy pink

Saffron Gossip is a neon orange, this one is very patchy and I didn’t like it at all.

My favourites have to be Rosy Mind and Rosy Sunday, both are beautiful everyday shades. I also wish to try Maple Map and Choco Break, they have a good range of nudes and browns.

Let me know your favourite in the comments below.

June 2017 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

June 2017 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got the June Fab Bag right now, I haven’t been keeping well and wasn’t going to do a video. But I thought of quickly doing one since many of you like and wait for the unboxing video.

The theme for this month is the ‘Boho Chic’ bag and the bag looks like a jute one. It is quite simple but sturdy and nice for travel.

MRP: Rs.599/- per month (Buy HERE)

Products I got:

  • Johara Creme Rich Lip Colour Cocoa Delight- Full size -Rs.395
  • Sugar Twist & Shout Fadeproof Kajal Black Velvet- Full size- Rs.399
  • BioBloom Foot Cream- Rs.335/- for 50g
  • APS Cosmetofood Activated Organic Spring Water- Rs.270/- for 50ml

I got 4 products in total, 2 full sized and 2 deluxe sized samples, the foot cream almost feels full sized but it’s not mentioned on the card.

Organic Spring Water is like Micellar water meant to cleanse and remove your makeup. I like the fact that it has a spray and cap and is perfect for travel.

The lipstick and kajal also look good, BioBloom products are all natural and chemical free, so looking forward to trying all the things.

The total value of the products in this month’s bag comes to around Rs.1500/- and I do recommend the June 2017 Fab Bag.

What did you get in your June Fab Bag?
