I believe in saving resources which in turn will help us save the environment. We do not have to wait for ‘Environment Day ‘to work on this, but everyday through our little actions we can surely help do so. In my endeavor to recycle and reuse things I came across Faida.com. Faida.com is an online barter site that helps you barter products you don’t need.

The old barter system which was predominant many years ago has now been revived by http://www.faida.com/ .With the boom in technology this has become easier. Bartering on the website works on the follow way and the instructions shared by the website are easy to follow.

You have to list your unwanted items at Faida.com. Then select item/items of your interest offered by another user. You then send an exchange request to that user. When your request is accepted, meet them up and inspect each other’s items, exchange or reject items. Faida advices its customers to exchange within the city to ensure that both sides meet each other and ensure that they are getting what they need.

The website is user friendly and has many features to make bartering enjoyable and simple. There are two categories get what you want and give want you want. You can exchange items like mobiles and tablets, electronics, music, movie and gaming, services, books and services, clothing, language and accessories, office and stationery, sports, fitness and outdoor, kitchen and dining, kids and baby items.

So there is a lot to choose from. The website also has a recommendation section where they inform of the different products that will be available for a short time as they are likely be bartered soon.

I recommend any one who really wants to declutter your home and get something in exchange then listing products on faida.com will be very beneficial for them. This works better as no cash is involved and exchanging is better than buying/ selling because it promotes recycling or reusability.

And then when you like something and click on the product, it will redirect you to the actual site. So you basically buying from the same website and the entire process of purchase,delivery and return would be taken care by that website. Stylebuys only helps you to find everything under one roof.

Their tagline ‘All Shops. One site’ works perfect for them. They also have a ‘Brands’ category which lists Clothing, Shoes,etc and have 1000’s of brands within each sub-category, so you can search brand-wise too.

Also, I liked the fact that they have 200 items per page, which makes it very easy to browse through them super quick. Some websites which have pretty good collection are not so navigation-friendly and keep showing 15-20 items and loading again and again.

You can also use the direct ‘Search’ option on top, like I did for ‘Crop Top’ here and got 100’s of choices (1000’s actually..1408 to be precise) from all the sites together :p

They have a flat rate shipping of $3.95 within US,$5.95 for Canada and $9.95 for anywhere else in the world. They use normal post and I received the package in 22-23 days. Also, they were no customs charges and I don’t think customs would be levied on them, since they are quite cheap with every product just $1 untill you are ordering something worth $100 or more.

I was thinking of how everything these days is turning mobile-friendly..especially shopping. A large percentage of people these days prefer shopping online from the comfort of their home or office or while travelling through their mobiles on apps.

We even have fashion shows online now, like the recent Masaba Gupta show at Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 which was the first show to be showcased live on Instagram for people around the globe to watch it! Isn’t that a cool concept?!

I guess everything around is soon turning digital. How many of you shop online on your mobile through e-commerce site apps? I do! It is quite easy and convenient, shopping on the go.

There are so many things to come up in India, while some of them are already in use in countries like US. E.g.: QR codes. It will automatically place the order for you in one click and the product would be delivered at your place the next day. Awesome,right?
