Hi guys,

So after the 6 new shades in the Matte As Hell Lip Crayons, Sugar Cosmetics has added 5 new shades in their It’s A Pout Time Vivid Lipsticks range.

I have reviewed the It’s A Pout Time Lipsticks before, see The Big Bang Berry HERE and swatched Peachy Little Liars HERE and Mad About Magenta HERE

PRICE – Rs. 599 for 3.5g (Buy HERE)

GET DISCOUNT USING ‘BTXSUGAR’ on https://in.sugarcosmetics.com

They come in a square black packaging and have a round, flat bullet. These are not matte but not extremely glossy either, a normal semi matte finish.

I love the pigmentation and staying power of these, they do survive meals and don’t go away completely. With touch up you can pretty much wear them all day. And they are very light and comfortable on the lips.

The five new shades launched are:

L-R: The Twilight Rose, Brownton Abbey, Call Me Salmon, True Oxblood, Six Feet Umber

07 The Twilight Rose is a medium neutral rosy pink. Perfect everyday wear shade

08 Brownton Abbey is a medium milk chocolate brown, can be a good MLBB for deep skin tones

09 Better Call Salmon is a peachy nude (pink brown mix) Another MLBB for fair to medium skin tones

10 True Oxblood is a berry with pink undertones, good night time shade.

11 Six Feet Umber is a berry brown mix and my absolute favourite. This shade is universal and will work on all skin tones

Here is a mini swatch video..

My favourites are The Twilight Rose, Brownton Abbey and Six Feet Umber. Also like Better Call Salmon, I guess all 😀

I do recommend these, let me know your favourites in the comments below.

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

Nykaa has been killing it with new launches day by day. Few weeks ago they had launched the Matte-ilicious Lip Crayons and now these Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.

I haven’t tried the Matte-ilicious Crayons, but have been trying out these ones since more than a week now.

Here are my thoughts..

Claims: Meet Nykaa’s Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, a triple-action crayon that does it all! This perfectly pigmented crayon gives you the coverage of a matte lipstick, precision of a liner, and blendability of a blusher. The blend of Vitamin E and Shea Butter creates a plush texture that adds youthful plumpness in one hot minute! Line, fill and dab some of it on your cheek for a naturally flushed look.

  • Plush, velvet matte finish
  • Enriched with Vitamin E and Shea Butter
  • No feathering
  • One stroke application
  • Super long-wearing
  • Glides on effortlessly

MRP: Rs.499/- for 4.9g

Shades Available:

  • Please Plum Me
  • Kiss N Tell Pink
  • Crushing on Pink
  • Brick Me Red
  • Nude Me Not
  • Call Me Red, Darling

It comes in the black wooden pencil packaging with a shade matching base. Other crayon from Nykaa comes with a sharpener, so I wish this came with a sharpener too. These are so light weight, that you don’t even feel the box has anything if you hold the outer box.

These are very creamy and buttery, super moisturizing and glide on easily. Very light and comfortable on the lips, easy to carry around and re-apply.

Pigmentation is pretty good too, you get opaque coverage in two swipes. They stay for a pretty good time, I have worn it for 4-5 hours but with meal, they do fade away and have to be re-applied. These are not transfer proof though.

Only thing would be these are not matte, they have a slight sheen to it all the time. There are days when I don’t want something too drying and most of the days currently, so I do reach out for these often.

They come in 6 shades and all are pretty nice and interesting, one from each colour family.

Please Plum Me is a deep aubergine/plum

Kiss N Tell Pink is a medium fuchsia pink

Crushing on Pink is a medium peachy pink

Brick Me Red is a rust red

Nude Me Not is a cool toned grey beige/greige

Call Me Red, Darling is a warm coral red

I love Please Plum Me, Kiss N Tell Pink and Nude Me Not. I do recommend these, they are pretty good for the price. I only wish they were a little more matte and came with a sharpener.

Have you tried the new Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils?

6 New Sugar Matte As Hell Lip Crayons Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

Sugar Cosmetics has added 6 new shades to their Matte As Hell Lip Crayons and all of them are beautiful!

I have reviewed Sugar Lip Crayons before on the blog HERE and HERE.

Today I am reviewing and swatching the 6 new shades.

MRP: Rs.799/- (Buy HERE)

GET DISCOUNT USING ‘BTXSUGAR’ on https://in.sugarcosmetics.com

The packaging as you know is matte black with the shade co-ordinated base which makes it easy to find. The formula is super pigmented and matte, you get an intense colour pay off in one swipe. It comes with a sharpener and is easy to sharpen and use, the clean point gives a nice edge to define the lips.

These are not transfer proof,  but they stay pretty long, even the lighter colours. It has stayed on me for 5-6 hours minimum and fades a bit even after a full complete lunch with dal and curd. It doesn’t go away, but just fades and you can easily reapply it.

Coming to the shades..

06 Coraline Jones is a warm orange coral

07 Viola is a beautiful mauve nude

08 Jackie Brown is a reddish brown, would work for all skin tones, especially deep skin tones

09 Princess Peach is a true warm peach

10 Cherry Darling is a gorgeous deep cherry red

11 Elle Woods is brown nude, a good everyday shade

L-R: Coraline Jones, Viola, Jackie Brown, Princess Peach, Cherry Darling, Elle Woods

Here are the swatches..

I love all the shades, I can’t really choose and definitely recommend these. If I have to pick, I will say Viola, Jackie Brown and Elle Woods.

I would suggest Princess Peach, Elle Woods and Viola for fair to medium skin tones and Jackie Brown, Cherry Darling for deep skin tones. Actually both Coraline Jones and Cherry Darling would work for all.

I hope you liked the video and the swatches, do let me know your favourite shade in the comments below.

New Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks Review, Swatches

New Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

Lakme has launched these new Primer + Matte Lipsticks in their 9 to 5 range and I have 5 of them, so here are my thoughts and swatches.

Claims: Lakme 9 to 5 primer matte is the first lip colour with built-in primer for a long lasting, matte finish. The built-in primer makes the colour stay comfortably for 12 long hours. It also has a smooth application ensures an intense colour payoff.

Comfortable matte finish
In built primer
Smooth and comfortable application
Available in 30 shades
Intense matte finish with vibrant colour payoff

MRP: Rs.480/- for 3.6g (Buy HERE)

Shades Available:

  • Maple Map
  • Caramel Cut
  • Coffee Command
  • Rosy Mind
  • Rosy Sunday
  • Cherry Chic
  • Cabernet Category
  • Brownie Point
  • Plum Pick
  • Pink Perfect
  • Sorbet Tuesday
  • Berry Base
  • Red Rebel
  • Vermillion Fired
  • Orange Edge
  • Crimson Catch
  • Saffron Gossip
  • Red Letter
  • Red Coat
  • Choco Break
  • Roseate Motive
  • Blush Book
  • Espresso Shot
  • Fuchsia File
  • Pink Post
  • Brick Blush
  • Scarlet Surge
  • Ruby Rush
  • Crimson Cue
  • Maroon Mix

Phew 😀 That’s a lot of shades, I am really glad Lakme has come up with 30 shades in this range and there is a huge variety in terms of shades and undertones, in nudes, reds, oranges, pinks, berries.

The rose gold outer packaging is same as all 9 to 5 lipsticks, I do like the outer packaging but it is plastic at the end and not very firm from inside, the bullet base is quite loose and flimsy, so you have to be careful.

T-B: Saffron Gossip, Rosy Mind, Cabernet Category, Rosy Sunday, Cherry Chic

The formula is matte, but very comfortable matte. They are not as dragging or drying matte as MAC or Ingot Matte formula. They feel very light weight on the lips. Pigmentation is amazing, they give full opaque coverage in 1.5-2 swipes and they glide on like butter.

They claim to have an in built primer and stay put for 12 hours. Well it obviously doesn’t stay for 12 hours, these stay for the normal 4-5 hours on the lips without eating or drinking. With a full meal in between, it will fade and transfer and will need re-application.

These are not transfer proof and do transfer on everything, the only good thing is they do fade evenly and they don’t go away completely from the lips but they do leave some colour/stain behind.

In terms of pigmentation, formula, shade range, pricing, I do love them and recommend them.

L-R: Cherry Chic, Rosy Sunday, Cabernet Category, Rosy Mind, Saffron Gossip

The shades I have..

Cherry Chic is a rust red

Rosy Sunday is a pinky brown

Cabernet Category is a medium berry brown

Rosy Mind is a medium rosy pink

Saffron Gossip is a neon orange, this one is very patchy and I didn’t like it at all.

My favourites have to be Rosy Mind and Rosy Sunday, both are beautiful everyday shades. I also wish to try Maple Map and Choco Break, they have a good range of nudes and browns.

Let me know your favourite in the comments below.

PAC Colorlock Longlasting Lipliners & Matte Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches

PAC Colorlock Longlasting Lipliners & Matte Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

So apart from the new Retro Matte Gloss V2.0 (Review HERE), I have also been using the new shade additions in the PAC Colourlock Longlasting Lip Liners and the matte eyeshadow palette since quite some time now, and here are my thoughts..

Claims:

  • Purely pigmented, Waterproof, Smudge proof, Pure matte
  • Long lasting power
  • Unique formula

MRP: Rs.385/- for 1.6g (Buy HERE)

New Shades:

  • So Spicy
  • Plush
  • Beauty Queen
  • Forever Fuchsia
  • Infinite Kiss
  • Hello Pink

PAC has Colorlock Longlasting Lip Liners since a long time, they had all shades of reds and pinks earlier. They have added these 6 new shades which are all nudes and browns and perfect for everyday wear and as a base under all lipsticks.

I love the color co-ordinated packaging, they match to shades and are easier to identify. Each shade name is marked in a nice big font on the center, which again makes it easy, rather than trying to read the small font on the edge of the pencil.

They have a black cap and the whole packaging is long, sleek and quite classy. They need to be sharpened, but they are quite easy to sharpen.

They are quite creamy and pigmented and glide on very easily on the lips. The finish is matte and slightly drying, but that makes the staying power longer. They stay for about 4-5 hours minimum.

L-R: So Spicy, Hello Pink, Infinite Kiss, Forever Fuchsia, Beauty Queen, Plush

I absolutely love the new shades, 3 of the nudes are my favourite and I also love the vampy Infinite Kiss. The nude ones would work under all the lipsticks, Forever Fuchsia under pinks and Infinite kiss for deep wine and vampy lipsticks. These would definitely make your lipstick last much longer and help give a nice definition to the lips. Especially on the edges and corners.

But they also work really well on their own, and I pretty much use these on their own. Plush, Beauty Queen and So Spicy are my favourites! I highly recommend this.

Though these are slightly expensive than other PAC lip liners, but the packaging and quality of Colorlock is pretty good. And compared to other brands, these are definitely a lot better.

PAC Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Claims:

  • 7 velvety shades
  • Blends smoothly with the touch of your fingertips
  • A perfect palette with all the colours that you would need when warm browns are concerned with a super pigmented black

MRP: Rs.975/- (Buy HERE)

I was in love with this no. 2 matte eye shadow palette the moment I saw it! It is every neutral girl’s dream palette! I love warm neutrals and all shades of brown, and you definitely need those for crease, blending and merging other metallic and bright colours.

All the shades of brown in this palette are absolutely perfect for defining crease and outer corners and even lower lashline. These shadows can be used to create any look.

Not only are the shades perfect in colour, but they are also good in pigmentation and are easy to blend. Usually matte eye shadows are chalky in palettes and it is very difficult to get good pigmentation and creaminess when it comes to matte eye shadows. Few shades in Makeup Geek and theBalm palettes are the only ones from what I have tried, which are almost perfect when it comes to matte shadows. I would say PAC did a fabulous job here.

It also has this basic black long strip, coz you need more of black shadow to set your liner and even use as a liner. The pigmentation of this black shadow is mind blowing.

Of course, 1-2 are a little less pigmented than others and they also do have a slight kick back, but they blend very easily and are quick to work with.

I highly recommend this palette, it’s perfect for travel, economical and the only palette you will need, apart from 1-2 other shades to create from neutral day to smokey night to wedding/party or any look.

Have you tried these new launched from PAC? What do you think?

Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons Review, Swatches

Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

I have been testing out the new Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons since quite some time now and here are my thoughts..

It has a soft texture and is available in 10 gorgeous shades that suit all Indian skin tones. It also has a rich blend of olive and jojoba oil that simultaneously conditions your lips. For your convenience, the all new Lakmé Enrich Lip Crayon comes with a sharpener.

Application: Step 1: Open the cap and start applying the product from the centre of your upper lip.
Step 2: Worked from the centre towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth.
Step 3: Glide the product across the entire bottom lip.
Step 4: This step is optional but you could use a tissue to blot out the extra product.

MRP: Rs.185/- (Buy HERE)

Shades Available:

  • 01 Berry Red
  • 02 Red Stop
  • 03 Candid Coral
  • 04 Mauve Magic
  • 05 Peach Magnet
  • 06 Pink Burst
  • 07 Shocking Pink
  • 08 Baby Pink
  • 09 Cinnamon Brown
  • 10 Blushing Pink

The packaging is exactly like color crayons, apart from the black cap, the qty of 14g is pretty good and each crayon comes with it’s own dual sided sharpener to sharpen whenever the tip gets blunt.

L-R: Berry Red, Red Stop, Candid Coral, Mauve Magic,
Shocking Pink, Cinnamon Brown

They have a semi matte finish, neither creamy nor the drying matte. And they stay for 3-4 hours, lighter colours of 2-3 hours but won’t survive full meal. It does survive tea and light snacks and fades away evenly and gradually. But they are very easy to carry along and reapply.

They are very comfortable and light weight on the lips and apply smoothly, do not tug at all. They do not accentuate dry patches and lines but they would be visible.

Overall, I feel they are pretty good value for money and I do recommend them. My favourite shades are Cinnamon Brown, Mauve Magic, Shocking Pink and Red Stop. Cinnamon Brown is the perfect MLBB shade for me, a must have everyday wear nude.

Makeup Geek Review & Swatches

Makeup Geek Review & Swatches

Hi guys,

If you remember my huge Makeup Geek Haul (if not, check HERE), I am doing an updated post on the review of all products with swatches.

Starting with the Sparklers, these are loose glitter pigments.

  • A sparkle beyond compare, Makeup Geek Sparklers go where no cosmetics company has gone before! Loose, reflective particles create a glitter-like effect that is out of this world.
  • For maximum impact, Sparklers are best applied with an eye-safe cosmetics adhesive.

Duochrome and beautiful, the shades are very unique. If you spray some setting spray and use them, they almost come out as pigmented shadows without the glitter texture. They are very multi purpose and I do recommend them.

Shades seen here are..

L-R: Stargazer, Zodiac, Solstice

Solstice is a pista green with silver shimmer

Zodiac is a sky blue with pink and purple shimmer

Stargazer is a light champagne white with gold shimmer

Zodiac and Stargazer are to be discontinued soon, so if you are interested in them, buy soon!

Coming to the Full Spectrum Eyeliner Pencils, these are super creamy and pigmented! And again, some unique and pretty shades. They glide on like butter and stay put whole day. I even use them on my waterline or on the upper lashline or as a eyeshadow base.

Price: $9 each (Buy HERE)

Cobalt is a bright denim blue

Mint is pastel mint green

Orchid is a bright orchid purple

L-R; Mint, Orchid, Cobalt

I highly recommend them, especially the nude for the waterline.

Next the powder blushes, I have Romance and Spellbound

Price: $10 each (Buy HERE)

The pan size of 4.25g is huge, these are highly pigmented and totally worth the price.

Spellbound is a matte peachy pink

Romance is a peachy coral gold, a famous NARS Orgasm dupe.

Romance, Spellbound

Coming to the contouring powders, I have Complicated and Infidelity. I was highly impressed by the colours, this is the first company I see coming with proper cool toned contour powders and for different skin tones.

Price: $10 each (Buy HERE)

Complicated is for cool medium and Infidelity is for cool fair. I usually use Complicated, but if I want a very sharp contour, then I may use Infidelity or mix the two.

I love how these gives perfectly defined and chiseled cheekbones. Cool toned powders work perfectly for creating shadows.

Again super pigmented and you need just a tiny wee bit, these huge pans are going to last forever. Very economical.

Complicated, Infidelity

Talking about my favourite now, eyeshadows. Let’s start with something that blew my mind! The foiled eyeshadows!

I have never seen such pigment with any eyeshadow in any brand ever! These are beautiful, gorgeous and I can stare at them whole day.

Price: $10 each (Buy HERE)

I have the shades In The Spotlight, Grandstand, Starry Eyed, Magic Act, Day Dreamer.

Magic Act is a muted medium gold. This will work beautiful with Indian outfits.

Day dreamer is a cool toned light lilac

Grandstand is a medium rose gold, again beautiful with Indian wear.

L-R: Magic Act, Daydreamer, Grandstand
L-R: Ritzy, In The Spotlight, Starry Eyed

Ritzy is a warm reddish brown with green and gold duochrome reflects, most unique shade I have ever seen! (It is a normal duochrome, not foiled. Sorry for the confusion, this one is $6)

In The Spotlight is soft coral pink, it works as a center shadow with numerous looks!

Starry Eyed is champagne pinky beige

And their normal eye shadows, which are $6 each and a total value for money! These are absolute must haves.

Price: $6 each (Buy HERE)

I have

L-R: Frappe, Cocoa Bear, Creme Brulee, Mocha, Shimma Shimma

Frappe is a medium brown
Cocoa Bear is a reddish brown
Creme Brulee is a soft peachy brown
Mocha is a deep matte brown
Shimma Shimma is a metallic champagne

Frappe, Cocoa Bear and Creme Brulee are great transition shades for the crease to layer up one by one or blend two shadows together. Mocha is a nice outer corner shade to deepen the colours on the outer V and Shimma Shimma is a good inner corner/highlight shade or the center shadow.

L-R: Cosmopolitan, Bitten, Corrupt, Moondust

Cosmopolitan is a rose gold with gold shimmer
Bitten is a matte berry maroon
Corrupt is an intense matte charcoal black! The most pigmented black shadow ever, in any brand!
Moondust is a metallic silver taupe

I have picked these shades out of the number of shades they have, after watching numerous videos and seeing a lot of blogs. These are like the absolute must haves if you planning to place an order on makeupgeek.com

All Makeup Geek products are animal friendly, paraben and talc free and made in USA. They are super affordable for the price and I highly recommend them. For that price and quality, they are a steal!

PAC Retro Matte Gloss V2.0 Shades 21 to 40 Review, Swatches

PAC Retro Matte Gloss V2.0 Shades 21 to 40 Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

So PAC revamped their retro matte gloss formula and now we have a new packaging too. Also they introduced 20 more shades, so now there are in total 40 shades.

All the shades 1 to 40 are now sold in the new formula and packaging, and are available on Amazon.

Claims:

  • Lightweight
  • Opaque payoff with just one swipe!
  • Dries down matte right after one swipe!
  • For best results: Avoid oily food

MRP: Rs.550/- for 6.5ml (Buy HERE)

It comes in this new ombre black and the shade colour packaging i.e. red, pink, nude at the bottom as per the shade. All the shades have numbers though, there are no names.

It has a flat tip applicator, I do prefer this applicator in liquid lipsticks as the broader applicators smear on the edges and corners of lips and give no control.

21 to 25

As per the claims, it is indeed very light weight and opaque in one swipe. These are very pigmented, you will need a good solid oil based makeup remover to take these off. But they don’t feel heavy on the lips, in fact I was testing these at home and I didn’t feel like I had anything on my lips.

26 to 30

They don’t have any smell/fragrance which is good. They take about 1-2 minutes to dry down completely and once set, they are smudge proof and transfer proof. So be careful while applying, because you won’t be able to correct mistakes later.

31 to 35

They stay for about 4-5 hours and the deeper colours for 6-7 hours, the only problem is they fade away quickly from the center in about 1-2 hours, so you will need to reapply at the center.

36 to 40

They are not very drying, but you will need to use a lip balm beneath because it will emphasize fine lines on the lips like all matte liquid lipsticks.

I love the new shades they have introduced, especially 36 to 40. There are no Indian brands which have shades like 36 to 40, a good true nude brown, and an orangey brown.

36, 37 and 38 I feel are quite similar to Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks in Double Dare, Lolita and Lolita II respectively.

There are good berries/wines and chocolate brown too. Rest of them are reds, pinks and peaches.

Overall, I would say the new formula, packaging, shades are really good. I like the price and quantity too. I do recommend them.

If you are in Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore, here are the PAC store details..

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC42 Review, Swatches, Buy Online

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC42 Review, Swatches, Buy Online

By Sanchita

INTRODUCTION – I have been planning to buy this concealer for a long time and when it was available online, I immediately picked this up. I once tried this concealer at a MAC store and loved the consistency and coverage. MAC is known for their extraordinary base products with an array of shade range. Having used the product for quite some time, here’s my review on the product.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – A lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage with a comfortable, natural matte finish. Colour-true formula lasts up to 15 hours. Helps conceal and correct the look of under-eye circles, and discolorations. Comes in a clear glass vial with a matte black pump.

PRICE – Rs. 2100/ $22.00 for 9 ml / 0.30 US fl. oz. (Available on Nykaa)

MY REVIEW

The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer has a convenient packaging for travelling. It comes in a transparent bottle with a black opaque pump and the packaging is really sturdy. Although, it is hygienic and travel friendly, it has downside too. The pump dispenses a lot of product in a single pressure and sometimes you need end up wasting it. And honestly, you don’t want to waste a product from MAC. Therefore, the packaging fares well but nothing something I prefer.

Coming to its consistency, I would say it is medium. The texture is slightly runny but the moment you start blending, it kind of turns creamy. The best thing about the product is that it gives a medium to full coverage. Every liquid concealer I have used so far sheers out and we just end up wasting money. Therefore, I was very careful while purchasing this one. The concealer is also water proof and smudge proof. Once you have set the concealer, it is not going to smudge or spread at all.

I use this concealer mainly for under eyes and I have extreme dark circles. I simply apply a faint layer of orange corrector and apply this concealer with the help of my fingers. And using a blending sponge, blend the product. It completely hides the dark circles and gives a fresh, awake look.

Now, the shade range of MAC is outstanding and one can’t complain about it at all. I chose the shade NC42 because it matches my skin tone. I didn’t want the highlighting effect at all therefore went with something natural. For minor discolorations, pigmentation and acne cover also the concealer works like a charm.

The blending is really easy and it doesn’t cling on the dry areas of the face or eyes at all. Since, my eye area is extremely dry, I use an eye cream prior the application of product. The concealer gives a natural matte finish and would work great with oily and combination skin. It causes little to no creasing of under eyes if you set with a translucent powder. However, if you have dry skin, make sure you use the appropriate hydrating emollient to make the concealer work smoothly.

The concealer gives no flashback at all and I simply love that. It looks as natural as possible and would bring a huge difference to your look. It is surely long wearing and stayed on my eyes for about 8-9hrs with minimal fading in a moderate climate. I can also use this concealer for full face too. There are time when I mix it with sunscreen, moisturizer or any BB/CC cream to perfect a perfect natural coverage. The only downside of every MAC product is that they are unapologetically expensive. However, the quality is undeniably good and the product would last a long time.

WHAT I LIKED

1. Hygienic and travel friendly packaging.

2. Perfect shade range.

3. Medium consistency with slight runny texture.

4. Very easy to blend.

5. Medium to full coverage.

6. No flash back in photos.

7. Can be used with tinted moisturizer or any BB/CC cream.

8. Natural matte finish.

9. Water proof and smudge proof.

10. Long wearing.

WHAT I DISLIKED

1. Pump dispenses a lot of product.

2. May be little dry for dry skin.

3. Expensive.

RATING – 4.5/5

OVERALL – The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer is a medium to full coverage concealer with an extensive shade range. It has a liquid based formula, slightly runny and sets in easily to give a natural matte finish. It is easy to work with and if you have been looking for a full coverage liquid-cream concealer, this excels in its wonderful quality. I am really happy with the product.

Editor’s Note: This sounds really good! I wanted to try this, but right now I have the MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette and quite happy with it. As you can mix and match with the correctors and create your custom shade

Faces Ultime Pro Face Palette Fresh, Glow Review & Swatches

Faces Ultime Pro Face Palette Fresh, Glow Review & Swatches

Hi guys,

Faces launched their new Ultime Pro Face Palettes recently. They are available in two variants, Fresh and Glow. I have both of them and have been using them since quite a few weeks and here are my thoughts..

Claims: With the bronzer, illuminator and blush all in one travel friendly pack, just add this one palette to your work bag or vanity and you are ready to go! The light shimmering color of the blush gives your cheeks a natural looking glow. Its silky smooth texture blends perfectly on your skin and feels super light, besides lasting all day long. The bronzer is the perfect blend of iridescent micronized pigments that dresses your skin in a radiant tan and a healthy looking complexion. Exalt your complexion with the Illuminator, as it sculpts adding radiance and homogeneity to the skin. With two shades to choose from, namely ‘Fresh’ and ‘Glow’, FACES Ultime Pro Face Palette complements all skin tones and flatters your skin like never before.

FACES Ultime Pro Face Palette is a light weight formulation which doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable or heavy all day long, but is rather fabulous on your skin. Not only that, it is easily blendable and gives you the most glamorous look for the day. With excellent shading properties, FACES Ultime Pro Face Palette will impart just the right dose of pretty to your look. Besides its extremely safe on the skin as it is paraben free.

MRP: Rs.899/-

Faces has already launched a bronzer and highlighter, and they have included the same two in this palette along with a blush. I absolutely loved this concept, the trio makes it very handy to carry around and travel with.

I love blush/bronzer/highlighter trios as you don’t need separate products and can do all three on the go.

It has a basic black packaging with a see through clear top. It doesn’t come with a brush or mirror. Though the palette is quite handy, I feel it has to be handled carefully or the outer cover would break, if dropped.

The bronzer and highlighter is the same in both the variants, only the centre blush is different. Fresh one has a day wear matte mauve blush, while the Glow one has a burnt orange blush with gold shimmer, appropriate for night time/heavier look.

Fresh
Glow

The palette and even the powders individually have a sandalwood scent. I personally love the scent but many don’t like any kind of scent in their makeup.

Fresh
Glow

The powders have medium pigmentation but are buildable. The bronzer is not very warm toned, so I use it as a contour too and I didn’t think the colour would show up as a contour on my skin as it’s quite light. But on building up, it did contour and define really well. Unfortunately the bronzer shade won’t show up on deep skin tones. However, the blush and highlighter would work, especially the Glow blush would look pretty on deeper skin tones.

I love using the Fresh one, as it’s very natural and gives a nice pink flush to the cheeks. The highlighter though has to be my favourite out of all three. It’s a gorgeous warm toned gold highlight and works very well with our Indian skin.

Here’s how Fresh looks on me, have used all three..

FOTD with Fresh

I absolutely loved the highlighter, it’s not OTT and neither very light/unnoticeable. It’s very pretty and again buildable if you like a blinding highlight.

This stays on for 6-7 hours in summers currently.

For fair to medium skin tones, both the palettes would work. For deeper skin tones, the bronzer won’t show up but the rest two blush and highlight would work.

At 899, getting all three products is really amazing. As individually the bronzer and highlighter are sold at 650 each, you get three products here and this is total value for money!

I absolutely love it and recommend it.
