Street Wear All Day Wear Compact Blush Matte Review



What the Company claims: Street Wear All Day Wear Compact is oil-free compact that gives a flawless finish to your base makeup. It provides even skin tone and lightens the skin. You will get a smooth perfect finish.

MRP: Rs. 195/- for 10g (Price was Rs. 165/- before)

Shades available:

  • Blush Matte
  • Honey Matte
  • Natural Matte
Key Ingredients: Nylon 12, Mineral Oil, Lanolin Alcohol, Titanium Dioxide

Lakme Perfect Radiance costs Rs. 150/- for 8g. So comparatively they are almost the same..

It comes in a dark blue round packaging with a mirror and a sponge..they have changed the packaging now to a square one. I have not seen the new packaging personally..but this packaging was not at all sturdy..I had dropped it once accidentally and now I have two parts of it 😀

I have the shade Blush Matte..which matches my skin tone well. Its not powdery or the type that flies away every time one uses a powder brush. In fact I use a powder brush most of the times. Its packed well and quite densely..I am using it from more than a year..and still I am not able to finish it off :/

It provides a matte finish as claimed and keeps skin oil free for 4-5 hours..it never feels dry or does not give dry patches on the skin..or make it look cakey.

Pros:

1. Quite like the medium coverage it gives..evens out skin tone and covers redness or spots decently well.
2. Has Titanium Dioxide..which acts as a sunscreen.
3. Good enough quantity.
4. Decently priced for the quantity.
5. Shades would suit the Indian skin tones well.
6. Does not give dry patches or cakey look.

Cons:

1. Street Wear is not easily available.
2. Only the Key Ingredients are mentioned.
3. This packaging is not sturdy enough.
4. Contains Mineral Oil..which might not be suitable for some..

Overall I do like it..the coverage it gives and the finish is good enough for me..and suitable for daily use..I would say its worth trying.

They have very limited number of brands for now since they have just started…they would add more later..currently the brands available are Colorbar, Lakme, Maybelline, Tips and Toes, Vega, L’oreal Hair Colors and Olay, Lotus and Garnier in skin care.

They have various payment options including COD and Free Shipping above Rs. 300/- and Rs. 50/- below that..

Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick, Colorbar Kajal and two Vega brushes..the lipstick is 06/11 manufactured which is ok but the Kajal is 10/10 manufactured..i.e very old stock I feel…I also got a pair of earrings which are kinda cute..but they too look a little old 🙁

What I feel they should improve on..is checking the manufactured or imported date and not keep or send the customers old stock, include many more brands and even in brands there are very less number of shades available and try and change the background and layout of the site to make it look more appealing and feminine.

Overall its a nice site..and if you want to buy Colorbar or Tips and Toes and do not find it available near you..you can try purchasing here..

Key Ingredients: KAH –tuhn seed OY-il
Cotton seed oil is a pale yellow, odorless liquid expressed from various varieties of cotton. It is widely used in skin care as a formula softener.

OCT-in-OX-sate
Octinoxate, also known as Octylmethoxycinnamate or Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, is a popular chemical sunscreen ingredient. An excellent UVB ray absorber, it helps prevent skin from burning in the sun.

Ingredients:

It comes both in tube and jar form..which is nice..just that the jar thing costs only 50 cents more but the qty is 0.1 fl. oz. more..

Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 is one of their bestsellers..it is sold every 9 seconds in the world…in fact it is one product our very own Katrina Kaif cannot live without..any many other stars swear by it..well I totally agree !

I am using the jar one..it comes with a protective seal and is tightly secured..it looks light yellow in the jar but comes off transparent like petroleum jelly..the texture is like petroleum jelly too..

It does not have any smell and spreads around smoothly on the lips..I usually use it at nights..this is my lip savior in these harsh winters..my lips were getting too dry and chapped especially my upper lip..I am so glad I found this..

Pros:

1. It does what it claims..helps protect lips from being chapped and from the dry winters.
2. It contains sweet almond oil and cotton seed oil and Vitamins A and E..I quite liked the ingredients.
3. Does not have any smell.
4. Even though they are priced at 495/- the quantity is huge enough..so decently priced.
5. Comes in both tube and jar form..so you can select a tube if you feel thats more hygienic.
6. It gets absorbed in a few minutes and leaves the lips moist, soft and supple. I usually prefer keeping it overnight.
7. Octinoxate will help protect lips from the sun.

Cons:

1. Difference in price is less and quantity is more for the tube form.
2. Not available everywhere..Kiehl’s is presently in Delhi and Mumbai.

No other cons with it..if you suffer from dry lips..you should surely give this a try..your lips would love this !

I have already reviewed the Cream Compact Foundation and Liquid Foundation from this range…so now moving onto the Loose Powder Foundation.



What the Company claims: This featherlight powder base gives a radiant, natural-looking finish and can be built up for extra coverage. It is non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin
Buildable coverage
Radiant finish
Covers imperfections and fine lines
Dermatologically tested
Contains SPF 25

Directions: Tip the pot upside-down so a little powder is deposited in the lid. Work the powder into our Mineral Foundation Brush. Tap off the excess and apply to the face in circular motions. Reapply to build coverage.

Full Ingredients:
Mica (Opacifier), Titanium Dioxide (Sunscreen), Kaolin (Absorbent), Illite (Anticaking Agent). [+/- CI 77492 (Colour), CI 77491 (Colour), CI 77499 (Colour), CI 77891 (Colour)].

MRP: Rs. 1395/- for 5g

Shades Available: Eight

I have the same shade 208 Golden Vanilla as in Liquid and Cream Compact Foundation.

It comes in a normal jar packaging..but it has a sieve inside which is better for dispensing the product than the normal 4-5 holes in mineral foundation jars.

The loose powder foundation is very finely milled and very light in texture..this also makes it fly off more..every time you open it..so a lot goes waste.

Swatch

It provides light coverage..you can use this with a concealer below..for days you do not want to cover much or want a light base. Keeps skin oil free for 4-5 hours…its suitable for sensitive skin too as it does not have any harmful ingredients..
Pros:

1. Very finely milled and has a soft silky texture.
2. I liked the sieve packaging…quiet convenient.
3. Good for days when you want a light base.
4. Travel friendly.
5. 5g is a huge quantity and would last long.
6. Has SPF 25.
7. Kaolin helps keep skin oil free.
8. Suitable for sensitive skin too.
9. 8 shades to match your tone.

Cons:

1. Lot of product flies off..causing wastage.
2. Expensive.
3. If you want heavy coverage or covering spots, etc..this would not help.
4. You need a kabuki brush to use this..a powder brush can also be used though..a kabuki is better for loose powder foundations..and you would need to purchase that separately.

Overall I found it decent enough..and good for people who need light coverage. I liked the Cream Compact Foundation the most from this range.

Ingredients: Talc, Titantium Dioxide, Zinc Stearate, Methylparaben, Paraffinum Liquidum, Pigments.

Natural Blush is a warm peachy shade with a little earthiness to it..I found it somewhere between MAC Peaches which is a true peach and Melba which is a peachy brown.

I love this shade for the warmth it gives to the face and does not make it look muddy at all. Its a perfect everyday color. All Queen Soft Powder Blushes are matte and so perfect for daytime.

T-Unblended B- Blended

Pros:

1. Queen Cosmetics makeup is perfect for people with sensitive skin. This would not harm your skin.
2. Its decently pigmented.
3. Quite economical.
4. Love the Natural Blush shade for the warmth it gives to the face.
5. All blushes are matte and perfect for day time.
6. Available both in refill form and with the normal packaging.
7. Stays on for 5-6 hours.
8. One cannot go overboard with this shade.
9. Though its a warm peachy brown..does not make the face look muddy.

Cons:

1. Not available here. But it can be purchased online here
2. Only four shades available.

Overall I found this quite good in color payoff and quality. I love the Natural Blush shade. If you like Matte Blushes..you will surely like this..
