Review & Experience: VanityCube Services

Review & Experience: VanityCube Services

Hey guys,

If you follow me on Snapchat (bhumika_t), you must have seen me posting a few images and videos of VanityCube services I tried 2-3 days ago.

I have tried MyGlamm, LocalOye and UrbanClap before, and now finally I tried VanityCube. If you don’t know what vanitycube is, check their website HERE. It is basically a beauty service provider where you can book a range of beauty services to be done anytime, anywhere be it work, home, etc.

Presently VanityCube is available in Mumbai and Delhi only. They have 4-5 different packages which are available at a discounted rate and much more economical and convenient.

I went with the ‘Spoil Me’ package which has Rica wax for full hands, legs and underarms, Basic Manicure and Pedicure, Threading for eyebrows and upper lips and a Lotus Herbals Facial and Face Bleach. The services separately cost Rs.3455/- but this package is available at a discounted price of Rs.2900/-

What I loved about VanityCube:

  • The attendant Fatima came 10-15 mins before the appointment time.
  • She got me a small bouquet of roses as this was my first booking with VanityCube services
  • She got her own disposable spreads, foldable stool, extension cord and all the required things. She even had a disposable gown. Earlier all the services I had tried, they would ask me for newspaper, chair, etc. and don’t even carry a disposable gown.
  • The same attendant did everything, so there was no time gap or having two attendants for different services.
  • She was very neat and tidy, was not unnecessarily chatty and quiet good with her work.
  • I informed her about the water cut from 2-5 pm and she filled the manicure-pedicure tub and whatever water she would need beforehand.
  • She was not sure of my skin type for facial and got the kits for both skin types.
  • The massage she gave during manicure-pedicure and facial was very relaxing, she knows her work really well.

What I didn’t like about VanityCube:

  • Nothing, I loved everything and I guess it’s the first time 😀

I really liked the services and how everything was done, I am sure it might somewhat differ from attendant to attendant. I am glad I got Fatima and she was fabulous.

I went with my nailpaint- Makeup Revolution Heaven’s Above

I would just like to mention that the services do take a long time, so do not go by the 180 mins mentioned, coz it took almost 5 hours for everything, so do it when you have an entire day free to yourself. Or you can always try 2-3 individual services.

I highly recommend VanityCube, it is by far the best from all the beauty services providers I have tried, also recommend going for packages as it’s more economical.

P.S: Services were offered in exchange for an honest review, but that has not affected my review, as per usual.

Have you tried any beauty services provider? What do you think of it?

PepperTap: A New Way To Shop Groceries

PepperTap: A New Way To Shop Groceries

About PepperTap: PepperTap is changing the way people buy groceries. We are replacing your visits to the super market with a few taps on phone. We started our operations in November 2014 serving a limited area in Gurgaon. Focussed on accurate and on time deliveries, we are now available throughout the city. Simplicity and effectiveness are the key drivers of our products and service. We believe buying groceries online should not be just for early adopters and We strive to make our service more accessible so anyone can free up their time to do what they love.

There have been so many apps to shop groceries out now in the market. But I think Peppertap’s claim to deliver in 2 hours in unbeatable!

You get 20% off on your first order using ‘TAP20’ maximum upto Rs.200/- I am glad that one can see this message and use the 20% off discount, because majority of the times the coupon code is available online or on their social media and one has to search. If you are not very social media friendly, you could miss out on the coupon code but Peppertap displays it on your login.

I tried to shop from Peppertap and it was a breeze. The interface and layout is amazing. I have tried 1-2 other grocery apps and for buying stuff worth Rs.1000 took me 3 hours! I was so surprised and happy to see the amazing layout and easy navigation of the Peppertap app.

As you can see above, there are categories like Popular (most sold), Food & Drink, Staples & Spices, Fruits & Vegetables, Breakfast & Dairy, Bath & Body, etc. And then there are sub categories like Flour, Oil & Ghee, Rice, Salt & Sugar, etc. within Staples & Spices.

They list all brands and types of flour available with the price, quantity, discount, etc for each item. This was so convenient coz I have spent a lot of time on other apps using the ‘Search’ option as it was not bifurcated that well.

They have some items like broccoli, babycorn, mushrooms, etc. but still don’t stock red cabbage, olives, etc. I hope they add more products to their kitty.

They have free shipping above Rs.250/-, below which they have shipping charges of Rs.50/-

On checkout, you get two options for Delivery Time and Payment Type. If you want the order to be delivered ‘NOW’ i.e. in 2 hours or a later time where you select a time slot. And Payment Type, whether Cash on Delivery or Paying Online.

Peppertap App is available both on Android and iOS.

I definitely suggest you guys try the Peppertap app. And you get your order delivered in just 2 hours which is the best part, because even when you go out to buy stuff, picking up stuff, standing in queue to pay and returning back carrying all those heavy bags will take you 2 hours or perhaps more!

Save your time and efforts and your weekend, if you are working by ordering all your groceries on your phone at the comfort of your home or even while you are travelling.

Peppertap definitely gets a big thumbs up from my side and I will be ordering from them more often, what about you? What do you guys think of the Peppertap app?

WeChat: The New Way to Connect ?

WeChat: The New Way to Connect ?

There is a new app to keep us connected now..The new way to connect Anytime. Anywhere. Anyone.
Chat any way you want: Voice,Video and Text. For free!
Connect with friends across platforms.
‘WeChat‘, a robust, fast-performing, 100% free mobile voice, video and text messaging application with the strength of over 200 million users worldwide. Among the many features that this app has, the friend-discovery location based social features and shared streaming photo feeds from friends’ personal photo albums are something which is very unique to this.

It’s free to download & install from iOS App Store, Google Play Store, Nokia Store and Windows Marketplace.

Here are some features of this app:

Provides world class communication tools on smartphones for FREE. Some of the key tools include Video/Voice Calling, text messaging, hold-to-talk voice messaging, broadcast (one-to-many) messaging, photo/video sharing, location sharing, and contact information exchange. Offers engaging one-on-one and group chat sessions with an extensive range of animated and custom emoticon and emoji art, customizable backgrounds, and a Rock-Paper-Scissors mini-game.

Supports social networking via shared streaming content feeds and location-based social plug-ins (Shake & Look Around) to chat with and befriend local and international WeChat users.

Shake: Exchange ‘contact information exchange’ with nearby WeChat users, or serendipitously connect with WeChat users worldwide who are eager to make new friends.

Look Around: Connect with nearby WeChat community members who are also looking around.

Voice Calling

• Provides a secure and robust social networking platform that emphasizes user privacy and fast response performance.
• Protects user data by offering on-demand contact list backup and retrieval to/from our cloud-based service.
• Simplifies user registration with mobile SMS/Voice messaging registration.
• Enables unlimited plug-in feature development via WeChat’s Open API platform
• More than 200 million global users as of September , 2012

I like the fact that it has so many features and even includes voice messages and video calling..I did try out voice messaging and it was super easy to use..Look Around Feature lists all the people online on WeChat around along with the distance..now the list goes on in hundreds..and just by logging in, random people start messaging..I would prefer something like allowing the person to message or accept a request kind and not that anyone can message you anytime randomly..Shake feature shows up people who are shaking their cell also at the same time..this did sound fun..but there was just one person and that too from Japan that showed up on the list :/

Group Chat

Compared to Whatsapp, it sends texts a little slower…but then it has added features of voice chats and video calling, fun emoticons and sharing..

If it overcomes these few shortcomings, I guess it can be one of the most widely used apps too..
