May 2018 Fab Bag Unboxing

Hi guys,

I just got the May 2018 Fab Bag and did a quick unboxing. The theme for this month is ‘The Beauty Project’ and it’s a perfect summer bag. I love the colour and doodling on it, I wish it was a little thicker and sturdier though. It’s slightly thin and transparent.

Products received:

  • NELF USA Velvet Touch Creamy Matte Lipstick Pink Spice- Rs.799/-
  • NELF USA Professional Eyeliner Blue- Rs.225/-
  • Aroma Magic Sun Block SPF 30 PA++ – Rs.75/- for 20ml
  • Fem De-Tan Orange Peel Creme Bleach- Rs.40/-
  • Imiana House RhoCo 2 in 1 Scrub & Mask- Rs.300 for 25g
  • Tjori Night Skin Repair Elixir- Rs.995/-

Again I had an option to pick one lipstick shade from NELF USA and I chose Pink Spice. I absolutely love this shade, it’s a perfect neutral and the formula is velvet matte, not sheer or glossy or too creamy. I love the formula and shade, it reminds me of the Maybelline Inti-Matte Nude in Almond Pink which is another favourite of mine.

The blue eyeliner was a surprise as I wasn’t expecting two makeup products, it’s pigmented and very pretty. Perfect shade for summer.

Sun Block sample is ideal for travel and I am going to travel soon, so would carry that definitely. Fem De-Tan bleach is a one time use pack and again good for someone like me who doesn’t bleach usually and might try once in a while.

The coffee 2 in 1 scrub & mask and the Tjori Night Skin Repair Elixir look interesting and I am looking forward to trying that.

Total value of the products = Rs.2435/-

I was pretty disappointed with last month’s Fab Bag but absolutely love this month’s bag. All the products are pretty good and useful this time, and mostly full sized. Loved the lipstick shade I chose and the blue eyeliner is very pretty and pigmented, perfect for summers.

Feb 2017 Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

I got my Feb Pucker Up Fab Bag today and quickly unboxed it.

I love the lipgloss and lip print on the bag for the ‘Pucker Up’ thing, it is absolutely perfect. And even the bag is quite nice for travel.

Products I got:

  • Sugar Liquid Lipstick Smudge Me Not in Suave Mauve- Full size (Rs.499)
  • Matra Holistic Lip Care in Kiwi- Full size (Rs.199)
  • Just Herbs Lively Clean Honey Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Gel- 50ml (Rs.230)
  • Batiste Dry Shampoo Floral & Flirty Blush in Cherry- Full size 50ml (Rs.299)

I had an option to pick one shade from the Sugar Liquid Lipstick and since I already had 4, I went with Suave Mauve which I didn’t have. Check the review and swatches of all 4 HERE

It’s a very pretty dusty nude mauve, great for fair to medium skin tones.

I love the Matra Lip Balm, it smells really refreshing and the ingredients has lot of good essential and base oils.

I have tried Just Herbs Honey Face Wash and Batiste Dry Shampoo before, like both. Glad I have it in mini sizes now, for travel.

Overall, the total price of the products in this month’s bag is Rs.1230/-. I wouldn’t say it’s a must buy but if you wanted to try Sugar Liquid Lipstick anyway, then you get 3 additional products plus the bag for just Rs.100/- extra, so that’s a good deal.

Feb 2016 ‘Love & Makeup’ Fab Bag Unboxing

I just got my February 2016 Fab Bag and the theme for this month’s bag is ‘Love and Makeup’ as it’s the Valentine’s month.

It’s a red colored textured pouch going along the ‘Love’ theme.

The products in this month’s bag:

  • Just Herbs Coorgi Coffee Lip Smoothening Lip Salve (Full sized)- Rs.345/- for 8g
  • Hikari Cosmetics Blush- Sun Kissed (Full sized)- Rs.1000/- for 6g
  • Spa Ceylon White Jasmine Facial Masque (Full sized)- Rs.2150/- for 100g
  • Chamki Nail Polish in Firozi Blue (Full sized)- Rs.150/- for 11ml
  • Estee Lauder Perfect Clean Multi Action Lotion/Toner- (7ml)- Rs.4470/- for 200ml

I got the Spa Ceylon White Jasmine Facial Masque in the Dec bag and it was a month where you could select one product and I had selected this coz previously I had got the Cooling Foot Scrub in Oct and wanted to try this. Though I love this masque but I am still not done with the previous one and would have loved to try something else than the same product.

The Just Herbs Coorgi Coffee Lip balm is one of my favourites, it smells amazing (like filter coffee) and it free of chemicals, parabens and does not feel waxy. The most light weight lip balm I have ever used and I am glad I got another of my favourites.

Hikari Blush in Sun Kissed is a pretty milky brown shade, I thought it would shimmery and more like a bronzer coz of the name ‘Sun Kissed’ but it is almost matte with very subtle shimmer and it would a perfect contour shade for me. For girls who are fairer and lighter than me, this would make a nice everyday blush but I doubt this would show up on darker skin tones. It can also double up as an eye shadow and/or a transition shade for blending.

Estee Lauder Perfect Clean Multi Action Lotion/Toner is a deluxe sample and pretty good to try out for 6-7 days.

Chamki Nail Polish is again a full sized 11ml nail paint, the color is a nice, teal blue and very summery. I have never heard of this brand, looking forward to try this out.

Overall I would say I am quite happy with the full sized products and the brands in this month’s Fab Bag. The value of products are around Rs.3800-3900/- which is amazing for a bag worth Rs.600/- Definitely recommend getting this month’s Fab Bag.

October ‘Get Set To Celebrate’ Fab Bag Review

Fab Bag is a monthly subscription bag where you get 4 (sometimes a 5th bonus) products.

October month of Fab Bag is the ‘Get Set To Celebrate’ Festive edition since Navratri and Durga Puja are around the corner.

MRP: Rs.699/- for 1 month

It’s a very cute potli type vertical bag this time, quite similar to the mobile pouch which was IN trend some time back, this is perfect to carry some cash, a lipstick and your cell phone during weddings, etc. I love the pink and red color blocking too and the button closure.

They have introduced the brands ‘Spa Ceylon’ and ‘Palmers’ this month. I had received a mail last month end, that I can select any one makeup product of my choice this month. I like the concept and it was quite interesting. I chose the Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Heart as I had not tried the Makeup Revolution blushes yet.

So I received a full sized Makeup Revolution Blush which is priced at Rs.750/-, now this price varies from importer to importer, but currently it is priced at 750 everywhere.

Products I received:

  • Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Heart- Full size (Rs.750/-)
  • Nyassa Oceana Foaming Face Scrub- 30g (Rs.900/- for 200g)
  • Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub- 50g (Rs.1100/- for 300ml)
  • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion -50ml (Rs.545/- for 400ml)

All the brands this month are good. I wanted to try something from Spa Ceylon so I am glad I got a product but I would have chosen the Jasmine Face Mask given an option coz I more into face masks than foot scrubs. I have tried the Palmer’s Cocoa butter body lotion before (Read review HERE), this cute bottle is perfect for travel and I would keep it for that.

Overall I would say it’s a nice bag with nice brands, you get products worth around Rs.1100/- for a bag worth Rs.700/-, it’s a bit of a luck game here, if you get 1-2 different products, the value of the bag changes. But worth a try.
