April 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review

Hi guys,

So I got my April 2016 My Envy Box yesterday. The box is peachy pink in color with gold print and it is curated by Bipasha Basu in association with The Label Life.

Let’s see what all I got:

  • BBLUNT Spotlight Hair Finish Spray – Full size (Rs.535/-)
  • O3+ Milk Scrub – Full size (Rs.385/)
  • Fran Wilson MoodMatcher Peach  Lipstick- Full size (Rs.590/-)
  • Rene Furterer Naturia Shampoo – 15ml
  • Roberto Cavalli Paradiso Azzurro Sample (Rs.4900/- for 50ml)

I have got the Moodmatcher lipstick earlier in green in my Aug Fab Bag last year. It comes in four shades, and I don’t mind trying this peach too, it stays put whole day and gives a nice pink tint to the lips depending on the body temperature, pH, etc.

Full size BBLUNT Spotlight Spray is nice, it gives a nice sheen to the hair and slight hold too, perfect for your daily hairstyles.

I like the sound of the O3+ Milk Scrub and I am glad it is full size, really looking forward to try that.

Not very happy with the Rene Furterer small sample, but I already have this same shampoo in the bigger tube and if I like that, I would keep this to carry along for travels. And again, a small perfume sample vial, which I won’t count/consider.

I like the fact that there are 3 full sized products, but I see the same brands being repeated a lot. BBLUNT, Rene Furterer, Avene, Hedonista, Suganda, etc. I would love to see new brands and would love it if My Envy Box introduces some new brands next month.

Though this box is value for money with 3 full sized products, but if you don’t like any one of the 3 full sized products, than you can skip it, and buy them individually.

Last month’s box was a bright coral, and this time we have a bright purple! I love this color again, as usual 😀


What I got in the box:

June’s My Envy Box was my favourite till date, but I had no idea July would beat it badly! A full sized makeup product and two super- deluxe sized samples, I mean a 40ml eye makeup remover and a 50g face mask jar is like amazing. Plus a face mask worth Rs.400/-, this month’s My Envy Box is the best till date! I would still love it anyway if the August box makes me eat my words 🙂

I hope My Envy Box continues to come up with boxes like those of June & July, pretty impressed 🙂

March MSM Express Box Review

I got MSM Express Box which retails at Rs.495/-. Even though its a March box, I somehow couldn’t review it then, sorry for the delay. It looks like a small compact box but is very very heavy with a lot of stuff inside.

Let’s unravel the mystery of what’s inside the box..

I received 5 products, 2 from Kronokare, 2 from Biotique and 1 from Just Herbs.

Except the Body Lotion, I got rest 4 full sized samples which is quite a good deal for a box priced at Rs.495/-! But I would have liked all 5 different brands rather than 2 products from the same brand. Also I have tried Kronokare before and I am not really a fan of the Body Lotion, its not moisturizing enough.

Looking forward to try the Biotique and Just Herbs products.

Overall I would say, price wise, it is one of the best subscription box out there which actually offers a good value for money. I only hope they can maintain the price and number of products offered in the same way in future too. I would love to try the ‘Select’ Box next.

July My Envy Box Review

This time too, a lavender box like the previous June one.

What I got in my box:

  • Three 10ml bottles of Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment– Full size Rs.450/- for 100ml- I am glad that there are 3 bottles this time. One bottle of 10ml is enough for 2 uses, coz its supposed to be used only on the scalp. This is going to last a long time and I like Kama products. Hope this works for my hair. Would update you guys
  • Eau Thermale Avene Very High protection Sun cream SPF50+ (5ml)– Full Size Rs.1250/- for 50ml- I have used Avene VHP SPF50+ Sunscreen spray before and liked it. This is a little richer though and meant for normal to dry skin.
  • Two 6ml sachets of L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep Cream– Full Size Rs.1990/- for 200ml- Its a leave in conditioner. Have not used it yet. Sounds good though
  • Kama Ayurveda Mridul Soap Free Face Cleanser- small sample- Full Size Rs.295/- for 40g- Its an ayurvedic, natural soap free cleanser which is to be mixed with water and massaged all over the face. I wanted to try this from a long time and I am glad I got to. Really liking it so far.
  • Eminence Organics Red Currant Balancing Concentrate- 2ml sachet- Full Size Rs.6413/- for 35ml- I am not a fan of Eminence Organics or small 2ml sachets. Not happy with this.

I would have loved to try the H2O Sea Moss Replenishing Body Lotion instead of the Eminence Organics Concentrate since I am not much into anti-ageing skin care.

Overall its a mixed bag yet again. I liked the Kama products and the fact that there are 2 hair products in the box this time. But definitely expect much more from My Envy Box.
