June 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review & 15% off Discount Code

I got the June My Envy Box right now and the box is so pretty! I just can’t take my eyes off the box, they have a designer who designs boxes each month and I have been noticing fabulous boxes since the past 1-2 months.

I have tons of My Envy Boxes and I had to throw some old, plain ones previously as I was short of space, but I am surely keeping these pretty ones!! I love floral print and this is one of my favourite prints.

  • Votre Purifying Deep Cleansing & Clearing Masque- 50g (Rs.1090/- for 100g)
  • Ck2 Perfume sample Vial
  • L’Occitane Divine Cream- 2 sample sachets

Ok, so it’s kind of a mixed thing this month, there is one full sized product and two deluxe samples and two small sachets.

I quite liked the O3+ Aloe Gel which is full sized. Absolutely loved the Herra Hair Perfume, I sprayed it immediately and it smells divine! Also this 10ml bottle is perfect to carry in your bag.

I love face masks and I don’t think I have come across a good deep cleansing and clearing masque in India yet. The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay one is on my wish list, but I really liked the sound of this one. Looking forward to trying this one out and it’s 50g i.e. half the size of the product which is pretty decent.

Not really a fan of the perfume sample vial or sachets, so no comments on that. I would appreciate if subscription boxes/bags totally do away with tiny samples and sachets, even considering these two brands among the products in the box is unjustified.

So for me, these three are the main products and the ones I liked and looking forward to try. The value of these products in the box comes to Rs.1175/-

June 2016 The Beauty Addict Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

So I got my June Fab Bag today and here is my unboxing and review..

I absolutely love this month’s outer box, it is so cute! It’s a black canvas cloth pouch which has makeup print and reads ‘Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat’ which is the story of my life 😀 Definitely going to use this a lot.

The theme for this month is ‘The Beauty Addict’, let’s see the contents:

  • Skin Yoga Coffee Body Scrub – Full size (Rs.845)
  • Karite Buerre Pure Shea Butter- 20g (Rs.499/- for 50g)
  • Janseen ROC Serum- Full size (Rs.2000/- for 30ml)
  • Be a Bombshell Eyeshadow Crayon in Stonehenge- Full size (Rs.1200/-)

To start with the eyeshadow crayon, I had the option to select one makeup product this month and I chose this Stonehenge shade. I saw the swatches online and liked this frosty taupy shade. Unfortunately it’s not very pigmented and also is smudge proof, definitely needs a good eyeshadow on top or else won’t stay.

Karite Buerre Pure Shea Butter sounds amazing, I was in the lookout for shea butter and glad I got this. This 20g would last really long, it’s perfect to use for cuticles, on lips, on hand and feet or even ends of hair.

Skin Yoga makes fabulous stuff and I have tried a few before, got samples mostly in subscription boxes and bags, I am so glad this is full sized. If you read the recent post on our blog about cellulite, you must be knowing how coffee scrub is amazing for cellulite. Definitely looking forward to trying this.

And finally the ROC Anti Wrinkle Serum, I love the ingredients and the brand and product are amazing, but just not for me. I don’t have wrinkles yet and I would have liked if I would have got something suited for my skin and age. Not happy with this, but I will pass this to my mom and I hope she likes it.

Overall I am quite happy with the rest of the items and that there are three full sized products and one deluxe sample this time. Surely recommend this month’s Fab Bag and the total value of the products in this month’s bag is Rs. 4250.

I hope they continue with such products every month 😀

May 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review & 15% off Code

So I just the May My Envy Box, the theme for this month is ‘Tropical Beauty’.

It’s a bright yellow colored box, I love the color and the whole tropical print. It comes in a outer white box and as soon as I opened the package, it had a strong citrus smell, and I knew it’s something good.

Let’s see what all I got:

To start with the Island Kiss Lip Moisturizer, I have all three and really like them. I have reviewed them on my Instagram HERE. You must have seen them all over the net already, Puerto Berry Blush is my favourite of the three and these are indeed quite good.

Votre makes some good skincare stuff, and I love using mists in place of toners, being a toning mist, it’s just perfect. Looking forward to trying this one out.

Lemon Essential Oil from Roots And Above, was the one giving the box, this awesome smell. I am all about essential oils and you can mix them with your skincare, hair oils, etc. There are number of ways to use them and I am surely going to try this one soon.

Gulnare is a new organic and hand made brand in the market. I got their Pumpkin face wash too, in the May SugarBox, and this Seaflo one is the 2nd product from them. This one has a combination of cucumber, wheatgerm and grapeseed oil. Sounds good.

Also a Kiehl’s gift voucher is really good for someone who hasn’t tried Kiehl’s yet. I have got skin consultation there, a number of times. There are experts in every Kiehl’s store who will check your skin texture, condition, problems, etc. and accordingly suggest you Kiehl’s products and would give a lot of samples, good enough to try for a week.

They also have a Rs.500/- off on May Jewellery Box coupon code card, ‘MAYJB’ is the code.

The value of the products in the box come to Rs.1675/– which is pretty good, also I have a 15% off discount code for you guys, you can use ‘NLMBHUMIKA’ at checkout and get the box at Rs.722/– which is a steal!

I do recommend the May My Envy Box, I am quite happy with the full sized products.

April 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review

So I got my April 2016 My Envy Box yesterday. The box is peachy pink in color with gold print and it is curated by Bipasha Basu in association with The Label Life.

Let’s see what all I got:

  • BBLUNT Spotlight Hair Finish Spray – Full size (Rs.535/-)
  • O3+ Milk Scrub – Full size (Rs.385/)
  • Fran Wilson MoodMatcher Peach  Lipstick- Full size (Rs.590/-)
  • Rene Furterer Naturia Shampoo – 15ml
  • Roberto Cavalli Paradiso Azzurro Sample (Rs.4900/- for 50ml)

I have got the Moodmatcher lipstick earlier in green in my Aug Fab Bag last year. It comes in four shades, and I don’t mind trying this peach too, it stays put whole day and gives a nice pink tint to the lips depending on the body temperature, pH, etc.

Full size BBLUNT Spotlight Spray is nice, it gives a nice sheen to the hair and slight hold too, perfect for your daily hairstyles.

I like the sound of the O3+ Milk Scrub and I am glad it is full size, really looking forward to try that.

Not very happy with the Rene Furterer small sample, but I already have this same shampoo in the bigger tube and if I like that, I would keep this to carry along for travels. And again, a small perfume sample vial, which I won’t count/consider.

I like the fact that there are 3 full sized products, but I see the same brands being repeated a lot. BBLUNT, Rene Furterer, Avene, Hedonista, Suganda, etc. I would love to see new brands and would love it if My Envy Box introduces some new brands next month.

Though this box is value for money with 3 full sized products, but if you don’t like any one of the 3 full sized products, than you can skip it, and buy them individually.

March 2016 My Envy Box Review, Unboxing

I just got my March 2016 My Envy Box and Oh My God, the design of the box is fabulous, I absolutely loved the box and I think this is by far my most favourite box!

The box was super heavy when I received it and I knew 2-3 brands as I had got a teaser mail, when I tweeted about it, the team said we have more than one full sized products this time and I was quite happy and excited.

The products in this month’s box:

  • BBlunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-in Cream- Full size (Rs.450/- for 150ml)
  • Hedonista Fleur Frozen Ittar- Full size (Rs.1045/- for 20g)
  • Bioderma Photderm SPF50+ Sunscreen – 5ml (Rs.1485/- for 30ml)
  • AVA Body Moisturizer with SPF30 – 50ml (Rs.650/- for 200ml)
  • L’Occitane Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner – 6ml (Rs.1460/- for 300ml and 250ml respectively)

I am glad we have two full sized products and one deluxe sized sample this time, hate the two sachets and the tiny sample though.

I remember getting the full sized Hedonista Oudh Frozen Ittar in the August My Envy Box. I absolutely loved it and now this one again is full sized in ‘Fleur’, love how this one smells too!

BBlunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-in Cream/Serum has been quite talked about and is quite good, just use some every time post washing your hair and you would have frizz-free smoother hair.

The AVA Body Moisturizer of 50ml is quite a good size and I love the ingredients, it has shea butter and essential oils of jasmine, mogra and vanilla, smells amazing and I am carrying this for my short trip in 4 days, it’s perfect for that.

Not happy with the Bioderma susncreen sample which is a repeated product and the 6ml shampoo, conditioner sachets are not worth talking about. Sachets should be done away with, high time!

Super happy with the rest three products, the value comes to around Rs.1650/- (not counting the two tiny samples.) If you already have the BBlunt Serum, then you may skip the box, if you were anyways wanting to try it, it’s a nice box with the added frozen ittar.

Feb 2016 Forest Essentials My Envy Box Unboxing

Hi guys,

So after the Feb Fab Bag yesterday, it’s time for the Feb My Envy Box, and this time they are celebrating 15 years of Luxurious Ayurveda and it’s the Forest Essentials Special Box.

All the products are from Forest Essentials and it is one of my favourite brands that actually works and shows results on your skin and is all natural and free of chemicals.

MRP: Rs.850/- (Available HERE)

The box is white colored with a pretty peacock design on the top, looks quite nice. All the FE products inside are arranged well compartment wise.

The products in this month’s box:

  • Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey & Vanilla Body Lotion- Rs.375/- for 50ml
  • Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap- Rs.295/- for 50g
  • Forest Essentials Hand Pounded Organic Fruit Scrub -8g (Full size is Rs.1675/- for 50g, so this should be around Rs.300)
  • Forest Essentials Lightening & Brightening Tejasvi Emulsion- 8g (Full size is Rs.2275/- for 50g, so this would be Rs.400)
  • Forest Essentials Madurai Jasmine & Mogra Silkening Shower Wash- Rs.295/- for 50ml

The prices of the smaller 8g samples mentioned on the card are not really justified coz the difference is huge compared to the original price of the product, so there must be a mistake. But still the products are pretty decent sized and the body lotion, soap and shower wash are perfect for travel too.

The total value of the products in the box comes to around Rs.1650-1700 which is still pretty good coz you are paying Rs.850/- per month which is half of that, and even lesser with 3 months of 6 months subscription.

I love FE products and these samples are perfect for me to try and know if it’s worth investing in the full sized product coz FE is not exactly cheap. I definitely recommend getting this month’s My Envy Box, even if you have never tried Forest Essentials products or you swear by them, either way it’s a win-win.

Also there is a special discount card and you can get 10% off on all purchases above Rs.1000/- on Forest Essentials India website using ‘FE15YRS’. My Envy Box has come up with a luxury jewellery subscription in association with NIMAI and currently there is 10% off for the month of Feb using ‘JEWEL10’

Feb 2016 ‘Love & Makeup’ Fab Bag Unboxing

I just got my February 2016 Fab Bag and the theme for this month’s bag is ‘Love and Makeup’ as it’s the Valentine’s month.

It’s a red colored textured pouch going along the ‘Love’ theme.

The products in this month’s bag:

  • Just Herbs Coorgi Coffee Lip Smoothening Lip Salve (Full sized)- Rs.345/- for 8g
  • Hikari Cosmetics Blush- Sun Kissed (Full sized)- Rs.1000/- for 6g
  • Spa Ceylon White Jasmine Facial Masque (Full sized)- Rs.2150/- for 100g
  • Chamki Nail Polish in Firozi Blue (Full sized)- Rs.150/- for 11ml
  • Estee Lauder Perfect Clean Multi Action Lotion/Toner- (7ml)- Rs.4470/- for 200ml

I got the Spa Ceylon White Jasmine Facial Masque in the Dec bag and it was a month where you could select one product and I had selected this coz previously I had got the Cooling Foot Scrub in Oct and wanted to try this. Though I love this masque but I am still not done with the previous one and would have loved to try something else than the same product.

The Just Herbs Coorgi Coffee Lip balm is one of my favourites, it smells amazing (like filter coffee) and it free of chemicals, parabens and does not feel waxy. The most light weight lip balm I have ever used and I am glad I got another of my favourites.

Hikari Blush in Sun Kissed is a pretty milky brown shade, I thought it would shimmery and more like a bronzer coz of the name ‘Sun Kissed’ but it is almost matte with very subtle shimmer and it would a perfect contour shade for me. For girls who are fairer and lighter than me, this would make a nice everyday blush but I doubt this would show up on darker skin tones. It can also double up as an eye shadow and/or a transition shade for blending.

Estee Lauder Perfect Clean Multi Action Lotion/Toner is a deluxe sample and pretty good to try out for 6-7 days.

Chamki Nail Polish is again a full sized 11ml nail paint, the color is a nice, teal blue and very summery. I have never heard of this brand, looking forward to try this out.

Overall I would say I am quite happy with the full sized products and the brands in this month’s Fab Bag. The value of products are around Rs.3800-3900/- which is amazing for a bag worth Rs.600/- Definitely recommend getting this month’s Fab Bag.

Starlooks December 2015 Extraordinaire Kit Review, Products

Hi guys,

You have seen previous Starlooks Looksbook Mini Kits on my blog, I have also done a video with the September kit.

This time for the last month of the year and being a party season, the theme was ‘Extraordinaire- You’re A Star’. Also the products were 6 instead of the usual 3 and all are pretty amazing and perfect for the party season.

Talking about the products I received in the December box, and mind you all are 3/4th of the full sized products which is amazing!

Products:

  • Party Mascara Glitter Gel- It’s a metallic rose gold mascara which can be used on the tips of the lashes for a party look or even on the eyebrows as the glitter/metallic eyebrows trend is quite IN right now
  • Presence Eye Liner- It’s a shimmery champagne colored eye pencil which will work as a highlight under the brow bone, in the inner corners or even on the waterline. I love using this on my waterline and it did not irritate my eyes.
  • BYOB(eauty) Lip Gloss- Again a beautiful, shimmery rose gold lip gloss. It is non sticky, pigmented and perfect. The size is perfect for handbags.
  • Darling Blush- A shimmery, super pigmented copper red blush. It can double up as an eyeshadow.
  • Century Metallic Cream Eye Shadow- My favourite in this kit, it’s a shimmery metallic grey cream eyeshadow. It does crease and needs a primer and shadow on top.
  • Pure Lip Gloss- This is very unique, a super pale lip gloss which has a hint of lavender and it looks lavender on the lips. Quite a different color.

All the 6 products are super interesting and unique and not something I have in my stash, I love how Starlooks always comes up with new stuff and a new theme every month. I definitely recommend the Starlooks subscription as getting 3-5 products every month which are 3/4th the size and at $12 is quite a steal, also like this month, you may get 6 products at times 😀

The value of the products in this month’s box are $72 which you can get for $12 if subscribed or if you want to buy just this month, it’s still $29.

October ‘Get Set To Celebrate’ Fab Bag Review

Fab Bag is a monthly subscription bag where you get 4 (sometimes a 5th bonus) products.

October month of Fab Bag is the ‘Get Set To Celebrate’ Festive edition since Navratri and Durga Puja are around the corner.

MRP: Rs.699/- for 1 month

It’s a very cute potli type vertical bag this time, quite similar to the mobile pouch which was IN trend some time back, this is perfect to carry some cash, a lipstick and your cell phone during weddings, etc. I love the pink and red color blocking too and the button closure.

They have introduced the brands ‘Spa Ceylon’ and ‘Palmers’ this month. I had received a mail last month end, that I can select any one makeup product of my choice this month. I like the concept and it was quite interesting. I chose the Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Heart as I had not tried the Makeup Revolution blushes yet.

So I received a full sized Makeup Revolution Blush which is priced at Rs.750/-, now this price varies from importer to importer, but currently it is priced at 750 everywhere.

Products I received:

  • Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Heart- Full size (Rs.750/-)
  • Nyassa Oceana Foaming Face Scrub- 30g (Rs.900/- for 200g)
  • Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub- 50g (Rs.1100/- for 300ml)
  • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion -50ml (Rs.545/- for 400ml)

All the brands this month are good. I wanted to try something from Spa Ceylon so I am glad I got a product but I would have chosen the Jasmine Face Mask given an option coz I more into face masks than foot scrubs. I have tried the Palmer’s Cocoa butter body lotion before (Read review HERE), this cute bottle is perfect for travel and I would keep it for that.

Overall I would say it’s a nice bag with nice brands, you get products worth around Rs.1100/- for a bag worth Rs.700/-, it’s a bit of a luck game here, if you get 1-2 different products, the value of the bag changes. But worth a try.

September 2015 My Envy Box Review

If you remember the previous month’s My Envy Box, it was a bomb!! It was the best My Envy Box I had ever received. So I had very high expectations from this month’s My Envy Box, did it stay upto the expectations? Read on to know..

I received September’s My Envy Box today, and I also filmed a video and edited it all today 🙂

This month’s box is a silver colored one. It has the September card and the product details card, which has a few makeup tips on the back side of the card.

 

Let’s look into the contents:

  • Za Total Hydration Fresh Foamy Cleanser 5g sample- Full size Rs.299/- for 100g
  • Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel 75ml- Full size Rs.1800/- for 150ml
  • Catrice Ultimate Shine Lip Colour in What’s Apricot Full size- Rs.610/- for 3.5g
  • Trussardi Donna perfume vial 1.5ml

This time there is just one full sized product i.e. the lipstick, one super deluxe sized sample i.e Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel which is half the original size and two tiny samples which I am not too happy with.

The cleansing foam is only worth Rs.299/- and not something very expensive, so a sample size of at least 20g could have been included. I don’t like perfume samples in subscription boxes or bags, though this one smells nice, but you can get such tiny samples for free at the brand counters.

Catrice Lipstick in What’s up Apricot

My Catrice lipstick was a nice, everyday n*de shade and good to pair with smokey eyes, but it has melted and broken from the base and got damaged in transit :/

Overall I would say this month’s box is pretty ok, I am not too pleased. My expectations were sky high after the super amazing box last month. I would suggest you buy it only if you like the Davidoff Cool Water and the Catrice lipstick.

The price of the lipstick i.e. Rs.610/- and the shower gel i.e. Rs.900/- is a total of 1500/- which is decent for a box worth Rs.722/- (post discount)

I hope your lipstick remains intact though 🙂
