March MSM Express Box Review

About MSMBox (My Style Mile Box):  MSMbox.com was finally launched in Oct 2014.

So there are basically two options in MSM Box, ‘Express’ for all normal drugstore brands and ‘Select’ for premium brands like The Body Shop,Soap and Glory,Innisfree,etc.. Also both boxes every month include 1-2 surprise goodies/samples from new brands that are just IN, in the market.

I got MSM Express Box which retails at Rs.495/-. Even though its a March box, I somehow couldn’t review it then, sorry for the delay. It looks like a small compact box but is very very heavy with a lot of stuff inside.

Let’s unravel the mystery of what’s inside the box..

I received 5 products, 2 from Kronokare, 2 from Biotique and 1 from Just Herbs.

Except the Body Lotion, I got rest 4 full sized samples which is quite a good deal for a box priced at Rs.495/-! But I would have liked all 5 different brands rather than 2 products from the same brand. Also I have tried Kronokare before and I am not really a fan of the Body Lotion, its not moisturizing enough.

Looking forward to try the Biotique and Just Herbs products.

Overall I would say, price wise, it is one of the best subscription box out there which actually offers a good value for money. I only hope they can maintain the price and number of products offered in the same way in future too. I would love to try the ‘Select’ Box next.

July My Envy Box Review

This time too, a lavender box like the previous June one.

What I got in my box:

  • Three 10ml bottles of Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment– Full size Rs.450/- for 100ml- I am glad that there are 3 bottles this time. One bottle of 10ml is enough for 2 uses, coz its supposed to be used only on the scalp. This is going to last a long time and I like Kama products. Hope this works for my hair. Would update you guys
  • Eau Thermale Avene Very High protection Sun cream SPF50+ (5ml)– Full Size Rs.1250/- for 50ml- I have used Avene VHP SPF50+ Sunscreen spray before and liked it. This is a little richer though and meant for normal to dry skin.
  • Two 6ml sachets of L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep Cream– Full Size Rs.1990/- for 200ml- Its a leave in conditioner. Have not used it yet. Sounds good though
  • Kama Ayurveda Mridul Soap Free Face Cleanser- small sample- Full Size Rs.295/- for 40g- Its an ayurvedic, natural soap free cleanser which is to be mixed with water and massaged all over the face. I wanted to try this from a long time and I am glad I got to. Really liking it so far.
  • Eminence Organics Red Currant Balancing Concentrate- 2ml sachet- Full Size Rs.6413/- for 35ml- I am not a fan of Eminence Organics or small 2ml sachets. Not happy with this.

I would have loved to try the H2O Sea Moss Replenishing Body Lotion instead of the Eminence Organics Concentrate since I am not much into anti-ageing skin care.

Overall its a mixed bag yet again. I liked the Kama products and the fact that there are 2 hair products in the box this time. But definitely expect much more from My Envy Box.

April My Envy Box Review

For those of you who don’t know what My Envy Box is..read HERE…and check out my Feb box HERE and March box HERE.

If you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen the pic of the products I got..

This time the box was a nice pink colored one..I loved it..always their boxes and packaging..though the cute pouch was missing this time..I guess coz 1-2 products were big in size..

There was also this 10% off coupon for the site www.monsoonandbeyond.com

Products I got:

  • Benefit Porefessional– 0.15 ml sachet
  • SkinYoga Almond Orange Face Scrub – 5.67g
  • Avene Sensitive White Whitening Essence -3ml
  • Za True White Day Cream– 5g
  • H2O+ Sea Moss Replenishing Body Wash– 60ml

Ok, so coming to the products..I only liked the SkinYoga and H2O+ samples..and I wanted to try out Za..so kinda that though 5g is too less..I am not a fan or endorser of Whitening products..so Avene Whitening Essence is not what I would really choose, if given an option..

And let me not talk about Benefit Porefessional..coz 0.15ml is too less for even one time use :/ Few boxes had Benefit Fake Up Concealer..and that was still a decent sample..I would have preferred if they would have sent some other brand’s deluxe sample rather than Benefit !

So the April box was a mixed bag..I liked only 2 products..I hope next month’s box has something better..I mean 0.15 or even 1-2 ml products should be avoided in my honest opinion ! ‘You know what I mean’ :p (Did you watch the Sonam Kapoor’s Koffee with Karan episode ? If not, go watch now 😀 )

So coming to the recent March box which I received few days back..its a peach colored box again..they had planned a nice orchid color..the Pantone color for this year..but due to some issues..they could not use those boxes.

And also in this March month’s box, 10 lucky people have got Pipa Bella jewellery ! Are you that lucky one ? I am not :/

The two perfume samples are tooo tiny..I would have liked small vials instead..I have never colored my hair..so the Rene Furterer Color Protect Shampoo is of not much use..I already have the full sized Innisfree Volcanic Clay Pore Mask..so nothing new to try there..only loved the Sour Cherry Moisturizer and Avene Sunscreen (5ml) also lasted about 3 uses.
 
I loved the Feb box the most..not too impressed with this one..I hope April has something better in store..I am waiting for those new makeup brands 😀

February My Envy Box Review

If you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen My Envy Box pictures I had posted..I am loving this month’s My Envy Box..
If you don’t know about My Envy Box, read HERE.
And plus there is one bonus product this time..so there are six in total..there is one Givenchy perfume sample for the man in your life..in this Valentine month..and the Valentin Special box.
I loved my peach colored box. Check my January box HERE. Also loved the colorful cloth bag it came in..
I also got this letter..which says if you invite one friend and she joins, you get one month’s box for free 😀 And also the boxes in the coming months..very interesting ones..and the new makeup brands that are going to be a part..I am expecting Givenchy :p

The best part in the box for me was the Forest Essentials lip balm..it smells amazing..and the full size balm costs Rs.595/- which almost covers the 3/4th price of the box..loved both the Givenchy perfumes too..and the Eminence Organics Chocolate Masque. I would have liked the Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Cream instead of the Thalgo Collagen Cream and/or Rene Furterer Shampoo though.
You also get cards for 10% off on all these products on their site. Also, there is a special Givenchy consultation, makeover and a surprise gift card.
Overall I loved the box and products..except for 1-2 here and there as mentioned. But I am surely hooked to it ! Highly recommended. You can get yours HERE.

Well, Maybelline has come up with a Valentine Special Edition again..and let me tell you, the box has even more awesome stuff..
My favorite Color Tattoo and their very recent launch Lip Polish. And the Colossal Kajal, Hypercurl Mascara and the Color Show Nail Paint are still there as in the previous box.

I loved the pink box with a heart..super cute packaging !

Mine is the Coral one I am guessing..though the nail paint is red i.e. Keep Up the Flame..the lip polish is Glam 16 which is a rosy brown with golden shimmer..and the color tattoo is Fierce and Tangy..i.e. the orange one..
The total price of these products comes to Rs.1300/- but this box is available on all sites online for a price of Rs.999/- Its soo worth it..just go and grab..boys and husbands..please get it for your girlfriends and wives this Valentine’s..they are surely going to love it !!

Though its a little expensive, but then if you get luxury, you have to spend a little too..and many a times when you buy an expensive product, you would’nt really know before hand if the product would suit you and work for you..so here you get a chance to try out the luxury deluxe samples..and see what works for you..and then go ahead and buy the full sized from their site itself..and also get a discount on it..

The box and the packaging is pretty nice..the box is real sturdy and good quality with a magnetic flip on the side..in this month’s box, there is one extra sample instead of regular five..so we have six..

What I got in my box:

  • Thalgo Brightening Regulating Essence (2 x 2ml)

So as you can see all the brands are luxury..and the samples are pretty generous too..I only wish they include 1-2 items of makeup too….maybe a Zoya nail paint could have been a part of this box..coz I have generally seen skin care only in most of their boxes..and also if there can be customised samples according to the skin or hair problems one faces..


Overall, I would say its quite a nice beauty box..and a great way to try out luxury brands..and especially those who love skin care..Highly recommend !

I would have liked if products would have given according to skin type and issues..

I am loving the cocoa body scrub and Jasmine body mist..and the mixed berry lotion too..yet to try out the Sandalwood hair cleanser though..

I also received a 10 minute complimentary spa session voucher and a 35% off voucher on The Nature’s Co. Products which can be redeemed at their stores..plus a Sterling holidays voucher which requires you to fulfill some conditions obviously 😀

Overall at Rs.595/- where you get a different cute packaging every month and different 8 products..which are samples of good enough quantity..I would say this box is quite worth it ! Highly recommend !

After the Blisscovered and  GlossyBox fiasco, it is a little difficult to trust on these boxes again..but then here comes the Velvette Box..and it sure looks promising..so far all good..and I have heard all good stuff about them untill now..

Its a monthly subscription box where you get 3 luxury samples each month delivered to your doorstep..at the cost of Rs.399/- and they do have Cash on Delivery too..plus you get 16% off on yearly subscription..they also send discount vouchers for the samples if in case you want to buy it..

They have a whole shop category..where they sell all brands online including Crabtree & Evelyn, L’occitane, Paul Mitchell, etc..

Currently this month they have Clarins, The Body Shop, L’occitane, Crabtree & Evelyn, Clinique and some different perfume vials..

Let’s move on to the box..

It comes in this black cardboard packaging with a pink ribbon around..cute..

And whats inside the box..

Clinique Different Lipstick in Raspberry Glace and Long Lasting Lip Gloss in Fireberry, Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner, L’occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream and a small 1.5 ml perfume vial of Jesus Del Pozo Ambar..

I have used the L’occitane Lavender Hand Cream before..and I would have preferred the Crabtree & Evelyn one though..

But nonetheless..all things are good..the toner sounds nice..and I loved the lipstick too..the hand cream is super small and cute and perfect for the handbag 😉 And I do like this concept of getting to try 3 new things every month at the cost of Rs. 399/-
