It comes in shaded twist up crayon form with the crayon on one side and the white sponge on the other side for blending or creating a color gradation or ombre. The pencils match to the shades and hence easily identifiable.
Pigmentation wise, these are quite pigmented and cover even the most pigmented lips in max 2 swipes. It has a super creamy and buttery formula and glides and blends easily.
The finish is matte but it is very moisturizing and not at all drying. It also feels super light on the lips, you won’t feel you have lipstick on. Staying power is ok, it stays for 4-5 hours without eating or drinking, but with whole meal it goes away from the centre and needs to be reapplied.

The shade Mauve 1 is not mauve but a rosy brown, more on the brown side with a hint of mauve.

Overall I would say I am quite happy with this, but would have preferred a price of Rs.400/- and also the launch of more shades and the wines and burgundies too. I would recommend checking out this Mauve shade and the Coral and Orange.
As you all might know that there are majorly two types of skins – dry and oily skin. All other skin types fall into broad categories of these two only. I am a dry skinned girl. And when i say dry skin i mean severe dry skin. My lips are dry and badly chapped all round the year. I have to apply a thick cream like boroline on my lips all round the year. And about my skin i need to apply body moisturisers at least on every alternate day even in summer. And coming back to my face, i apply light moisturisers like aloe vera in summers. But here when winters are knocking on your doors, i need something strong for my face. I need a strong moisturiser which will heal my dry skin.
Since Aroma magic is one of my favourite skin care brand, i decided to trust on AM products. Thus, without further delay, i opted for their Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream.

My experience with Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream
Aroma magic almond nourishing cream comes in wide small sized carton. Inside which there is a small but wide tub. The packaging of the tub and the carton is like snowy winter. It reminds that this is a perfect winter moisturising cream. Inside the tub there is a lid covering which acts like an extra layer of protection for the cream. Once the lid is removed the cream smells heavily of almonds. This is very natural and soothing smell.
Texture wise the cream is heavy. You need to blend the product to sink it into the skin. You will have to invest a lot of time to blend the product thoroughly. After which also, you are sure to feel the stickiness of the product. It is really an uncomfortable feeling. You can remove this feeling by applying only a bit of product.
Now, coming to the performance of the product it is really 100% moisturization cream. It provides moisture to my face like never before. Trust me there are very few creams which works in winters for me. And this worked like a magic. It healed and moisturised my skin like never before. It made my skin really soft and supple within a week of usage only. And my skin is like soft and hydrated just like summers before even the tub finished. I use it as a night cream because in that way i don’t have to worry about the chip-chip part. And by morning it’s all back to normal. Even then i apply a strong face wash. You can apply it in the morning too but make sure you apply only a little amount.

Loaded with mild SPF 20, brightening agents add a certain glow to brighten your skin, conceals faded marks and refreshes the skin, this is like a must have! One more thing that is raving about this CC cream and sets part from other is that it is extremely flexible for the skin type. It suits every skin type – it hydrates the dry skin while gives a non-greasy look to the oily skin all-round the year. To make it look matte, you simply need to dab a mattifying powder and you are good to go.
2. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal{210 INR(BLACK) 275 INR (COLOR)}– with a staple black color and also other 5 colors, very recently to added few more shades to the eyeconic kohl group. If you are a fan of creamy kajals that gives a total smudge free and water proof look even in summers for around 6-7hours, you are absolutely digging this one. I have tried so many kajals like any obsessive makeup lover but always come back to this. Moreover, the colors are matte, creamy and looks drop dead gorgeous!
3. Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks(INR 260)– probably the oldest and budget friendly range of lipsticks in India which have been used by woman from every walk of life. They have some amazing red, browns and pinks for every occasion. The finish is satin velvety and hydrates the lips as well. For such a budget friendly price tag, buy at least one from this beautiful range.
4. Lakme 9 to 5 Foundation (INR 575) – 9 to 5 is personally my favorite range and the quality is as remarkable as it gets. Out of every product of this range, my favorite is the foundation which seem to be the right match for me. It is brightening yet looks like my own skin. The beauty of the foundation lies in its texture which can also be blended with the finger tips when you are in a hurry. It works for all skin tones and gives a sheer to buildable coverage. The staying power is good hardly requires touch ups. Now they have come up with the revamped formula and packaging, the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation.
5. Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints – chubby lip balms are becoming a craze now a days and also the ‘matte’ mania in the beauty industry. Our very own Lakmé has brought forward the Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints which are both chubby and matte. With a soft texture that glides like a dream yet settles matte along with an amazing pigmentation, the lip tints were an instant hit when it launched. It’s the last day of the year 2015. 2015 was a mixed bag for me, 2014 Dec I got married so it was all supposed to be rosy and good, but in mid Jan itself I met with the accident which has in many ways changed my life and for the bad. The six months post the accident were terrible, can say the worst period of my life. I was affected even emotionally and mentally more than physically. Relationships were also strained coz of all the pain and stress. I used to get the accident nightmares every single night and whenever I was free or unoccupied. I tried keeping myself occupied and worked a lot, so that I did not have any free time. I even started my YouTube channelin June (Subscribe if you still haven’t!)
Things are better now, we shifted to a new place this month and also celebrated our first wedding anniversary. I am gaining back the lost confidence slowly, but I still feel afraid of doing many things so as to not aggravate my pain. I still get back ache if I sit without back support, so that does happen while clicking pictures or filming or anything like that. I need to take a break in between. I haven’t exercised or anything since ages except my Physiotherapy which I did very religiously with weights, etc. coz I wanted to be normal and walking super soon! Ever since I got back, I have been super lazy, I had ordered ankle weights and have my light dumbbells too which should be put to good use now, since the body has had enough rest and will complete one year to the accident in mid Jan.
Also I do everything on the blog from clicking the pictures to editing to writing the posts all by myself and it is difficult! When you cannot even see if you are in focus or not and all such stuff, managing alone is difficult. So I just opened the blog to new voices and new writers this mid November (Click HERE to know more). These last 2-3 months have been amazing career/work wise when it comes to blogs and collaborations/social media. I hope this was the stepping stone to 2016, 2017 and many more years to come. Brands are also realizing the importance of blogs, bloggers and social media which is great! Coz that was the only area where India lagged behind.
I did not travel much this year coz of the accident, just one Goa trip with Blogadda in mid June and this month we went to Jaipur. I hope to travel a lot more in 2016.
Also social media is doing really good, I crossed 8700 followers on my Twitter, 13000 on my Instagram, 10600 on my Facebook, also all genuine unlike the trend of ‘buying followers’ that is being followed by many new followers 😀 And the PR don’t even know, it is so easy to make out! Snapchat is doing really good too (Add me @bhumika_t) I also joined Periscope and do few monthly beams on the Fame app too. My Klout Score has been 72, even touched 74 in between 😀 So, social media wise I can only see it going ahead and ahead with the number of new things coming up everyday 🙂

Maybelline is a drugstore brand and has taken the world of beauty by storm with their incredibly amazing products and super affordable price tag. From college goers to professionals, they cater the need of one and all and much-loved as a budget friendly option. The products are so good that sometimes they are compared to certain high end brands as well. Every season they are bringing out more and more shades and variety to the existing ranges and no wonder we lust on them! It is extremely difficult to choose handful of the products, but if at all needed, I would choose the certain top 10 products listed below.

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer (Review HERE) (INR 600) – Contouring, highlighting and strobing is blooming in the beauty industry and there nothing better you can get than a highlighting concealer. 8. Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (Review HERE)(INR 499) – This gel liner has been often compared to MAC by various Bloggers across the world and truly it has its own beauty. The liner, although available in only Black, is the darkest version I have seen it. The creaminess of the liner, the rich and intense color pay off and a cute petite brush that comes with it, makes is a must-have in your vanity. The price is again very negligible compared and the liner is completely smudge proof and waterproof.
9. Maybelline Color Sensational Velvet Matte(INR 450) – Matte is the new black and every brand has come out with their version. Maybelline, with the launch of velvet matte has gained attention as well. Editor’s Note: I pretty much agree with the list, except for the Color Sensational Velvet Matte, I would go with the Color Sensational lipsticks. They have some amazing shades, I love the Bold Matte and Pink Alert Range too. Also the 14H Superstay Lipsticks. Maybelline Colossal Liner is my staple, can’t live without it. Also love the Colossal Volume Mascaraand the Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, one of my favourite drugstore foundations. The new eyebrow pencil Fashion Brow is also my favourite 😀 Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eye shadows are all time favourites, and the shade ‘Bronze’is one of the best and my most loved product. I can’t wait for the Color Blur Lip Pencils to launch here soon! I think we need a top 15 or top 20 when it comes to Maybelline, it is indeed the most loved, economical and innovative brand out there.

A new OOTD post today. It was our first wedding anniversary on Sunday and we went to the Rivergate Resort in Karjat. I can’t believe it’s been one year, I have no idea where time is flying, the year was mixed actually. The first half of the first wedding year went into the accident, recovery and the repercussions. It is very, very difficult to get out of it mentally more than the physical recovery. I still fear crossing roads, still mind my every step and over cautious about everything. The accident nightmares every night don’t let you sleep.
Anyhoo, it’s gone and done now. I want to start my 2nd wedding year like it’s the first year and it’s a fresh start 🙂 We shifted to a new place and everything is new. I hope we can keep things happy happy. I was wearing this casual military green shirt half tucked that day and I shot this outfit.
I paired the shirt with my blue Forever 21 denims and my favourite nude brogues. I kept the overall look very simple and my new Michael Kors navy blue sling bag and the rose gold watch completed the look.

New Medimix Ayurvedic Natural Glycerine Soap With Lakshadi Oil Review

Today I am reviewing something different, a soap. Medimix is one brand that we have all used at some point in our lives, and then we get different and new options and we forget the ‘natural’ and be lured by the fancy packaging and latest launches. Medimix has launched their new soap with natural glycerine and lakshadi oil. Lakshadi Tailam/Oil is an old ayurvedic recipe of a massage oil and it is made with a blend of different herbs like Laksha, Asvagandha, Katuka, etc.
They have also come up with this TVC which urges us to ‘Go Natural’ and it is so true!
What the Company claims: Medimix Ayurvedic Natural Glycerine With Lakshadi Oil contains a unique combination of the purest and finest grade vegetable glycerin and the time tested Ayurvedic formula of Lakshadi oil to effectively prevent dry skin.
MRP: Rs.45/- for 125g
Ingredients:
It is transparent green soap and has a slight herbal smell. Lakshadi Oil helps in a lot of ailments like fever, body ache, etc and is also used for massaging babies in some parts of India. Some of the ingredients also help in body acne or itches and rashes, them being anti – bacterial and anti – fungal.
Natural glycerine in the soap makes it perfect for the current winters, as it keeps the skin moisturized and skin does not feel dry or stretchy as with other regular soaps.
It foams well and cleans the skin well, one can also use a loofah on top of the soap foam for extra exfoliation or foaming. I love using it for my body and I also used it for my face. I don’t usually use soaps on my face as most of them are very drying for my skin but this one did not dry the skin at all.
It is vegan and cruelty free and does not contain any animal fat or derivative. It is priced very affordably at Rs.45/- and lasts long too, just don’t keep it in water.
Overall I would say Medimix is still the same, natural and herbal with glycerine, and does not dry out skin. Perfect for all year round. Definitely recommend trying this out!

It’s ‘The Party All Night’ edition for the party season this month. They had an option to choose one bag of our choice of all the previous bags of 2015 and one product of our choice.
I went with this black heart bag which was their February Valentine’s Special since I did not have this one. And the product I chose is the Spa Ceylon Jasmine Face Masque as I had received the Foot Scrub from Spa Ceylon in October and I wanted to try out this masque.

They have included Sugar Cosmetics Matte As Hell Lip Crayon which I have reviewed HERE. The full sized one! That itself is priced at Rs.799/- plus it’s own sharperner. I already had the wine shade i.e. Poison Ivy and I was hoping and praying that I do not receive that, they are sending any one of the four shades at random. I really wanted to check out the Holly Golightly i.e. the nude shade as I do not own a nude lip crayon yet.
Another interesting product is the Kronokare Cooling Explosion Lip Balm which is in tube form and has a slanted applicator to directly use on lips and is in the form of clear jelly, but has a strong peppermint smell and as soon as you apply it, you actually feel the cooling explosion on the lips for about 10 minutes. It also claims to be used as a lip primer before using lipsticks, will test that out. But for now, I am really liking it coz my lips are so chapped that they hurt.
I loved the ingredients of the Spa Ceylon White Jasmine Facial Masque and immediately used it. I have this mask and the Kronokare lip balm ON right now while I review the bag 😀 I will do a complete, separate review of the masque after using it a few times.
A Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water 10ml sample. (Read complete review HERE) This is good to carry for travel but once opened, entire pack needs to be used as you cannot store and 10ml is good for 2-3 uses. But it’s a really nice makeup remover, so good to try out if you haven’t yet, be careful around the eye area though.
I have the Aayush Headache Naashak 10ml full size roll on and it is really good for headaches during cold, congestion and feels quite relieving, this small 2ml roll on is perfect to carry along.
Some also received a Clovia scarf, I am not sure if this bonus product is added randomly or how.
Overall, I have either used all the products in the bag and loved them or really wanted to try them. It’s a full value for money bag this time!! Definitely recommend getting the December bag, your Sugar Cosmetics Lip Crayon will only cover the cost of the bag for you. And for me the Spa Ceylon Jasmine Masque is also about Rs.1075/- additionally. Total value of the products comes to around Rs.2070/- plus the bag for the price of Rs.699/- 🙂

It comes in this pink tube packaging with silver cap and has a nozzle dispensor. The packaging is quite bright and nice, convenient to use and travel friendly.
I have the shade Bright Angel which is the one for medium skin tones. It is nothing but a tinted moisturizer i.e. the blend of skincare plus some makeup. And has SPF25 too.
It is quite rich and needs to be set with a compact powder. Skin gets oily within an hour or so, I would not recommend it for oily skin or for use in summers.
Coverage is ok, it only evens out the skin tone and reduces the redness. It does brighten the skin a but, but does not cover dark circles or any acne spots. It stays for a good 5-6 hours but does need touch up with a compact powder. But it sure is quite moisturizing and skin doesn’t feel tight even in winters for a good few hours.
As you can see in my ‘Before-After’ pic here, it only evened out the skin and brightened it a bit, did not cover any marks or dark circles. This is just using the cream and I haven’t use any compact or anything else here.

Only 2 shades are available in this, but thankfully both are warm and yellow and will work for majority skin tones. It does oxidize a bit on the face after 2-3 hours, that might be coz of the sunscreen.
It has licorice and aloe vera extracts. Licorice is anti-inflammatory, helps in reducing redness of the skin, helps absorb ingredients better and also helps in lightening the skin. Aloe vera of course has numerous benefits, key being hydrating, moisturizing, anti-bacterial. Not a fan of licorice coz of it lightening the skin.
Pricing is ok, it’s the same as other BB/CC creams in the market and almost the same qty. Only active ingredients are mentioned on the pack, they should have mentioned a list of all ingredients for people to know what exact skincare benefit they are getting. Except licorice and aloe vera, nothing has been mentioned.
Overall I would say, if you do not have problematic skin and only need something for daily use which can provide sun protection and even out skin tone, you can try this out.
