We have a new sleeker packaging, I got a coral pink box (no idea why its looking fuchsia here:/with gold symbol embossing on the top. I love it, smaller, sturdier and pretty. And few got a shiny pouch inside. I wanted that shiny one :/
What I got in my box:
Chloe Roses De Chloe Perfume vial 1.5ml- If you love roses, you should absolutely try this!
ZA Perfect Solution Restoring Collagen Cream– Its an anti aging one, which I already have full sized. But I feel not everyone needs an anti aging product, they should not send it in all boxes and start customizing boxes.
Bottega Di Lungavita Vita Age In Face Scrub 5ml- I have tried 1-2 Bottega Di Lungavita products and liked those. Looking forward to try this scrub. The cost of the whole pack is just Rs.790/-. Its not that expensive and I was expecting minimum 3 small 5ml tubes of it
L’Occitane Creme Allegee Almond Shaping Delight– 2 sachets of 8ml each- This is a good quantity of 16ml but when it is expected to firm your body, you can hardly use it once and not expect/see any results.
Thalgo Cryodetox Mask 5ml- Again only one single tube of 5ml. 2 would have been better.
Overall I felt it was pretty ok. The quantity in samples was quite less, we could have had 2-3 mini tubes if there are 5ml tubes only. One needs minimum 10-15ml product to try it properly or judge if it works for them. Also, I have no idea when will they include makeup samples which is being promised since a long long time.
Lakmé Salon Presents ‘Show Stopping Hair’ Collection Styled by Little Shilpa
Hey guys,
I attended the exclusive blogger preview of the Autumn-Winter 14-15 collection of UK’s top brands – Miss Selfridge and River Island on behalf of Jabong.com
During that, I also caught up on the Little Shilpa’s fittings. Loved the 3-4 outfits I saw during the fittings. A red mirror work bustier with maxi skirts, mirror work dresses, etc. But I am more excited about the hairstyles of that show coz its going to be an unique one as the clothing revolves around the hair in this show!
Lakmé Salon brings the best of hair fashion to the Indian runway, with a one-of-its kind ‘Show Stopping Hair’ collection which will be showcased exclusively at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014.
Conceptualized and crafted by Lakmé Salon experts with international hair stylist Winnie Loo, and styled by Little Shilpa, this promises to be one of the most exciting launches in hair fashion in the country.
In the world of fashion, the garment struts the runway, with hair adding the finishing touches to the overall look. Reversing this norm for the first time in India, hair will be the hero as Lakmé Salon pioneers the concept of a Hair Show. Exclusively showcased at the Mecca of Indian Fashion, Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014, the ‘Show Stopping Hair’ collection brings the best of hair trends to the Indian runway.
It promises to be one of the most exciting launches in hair fashion in the country.
The collection includes three dramatic themes:
• ‘Illusion’, inspired by the natural phenomenon of the ‘Northern Lights’, it is a playful fusion of colors
• ‘Metamorphosis’ inspired by the complex art forms of postmodern Paris, it is the line of dual hairstyles and textures ranging from straight and curly, to short and long
• ‘Moulin Rouge’, a modern take on the ‘classic elegant’ with bouffants and waves
Shailesh Moolya, National Hair Trainer, Lakmé Salons states “Lakmé Salon have been the backstage experts at Lakmé Fashion Week since its inception, and through the‘Show Stopping Hair’ collection, this expertise in hair styling will be the focus on the ramp. Little Shilpa adds, “Lakmé Salon and I share a common belief that “Fashion goes beyond clothing”. I was delighted when I got the opportunity to style the ‘Show Stopping Hair’ collection for them as their vision of making Indian women runway ready, matches perfectly with my fashion style and statement.”
Commenting on the collection Mr. Pushkaraj Shenai, CEO, Lakmé Lever, said“At Lakmé Salons our backstage experts strive to delight our customers with Runway Excellence every day. This time too, a lavender box like the previous June one.
What I got in my box:
Three 10ml bottles of Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment– Full size Rs.450/- for 100ml- I am glad that there are 3 bottles this time. One bottle of 10ml is enough for 2 uses, coz its supposed to be used only on the scalp. This is going to last a long time and I like Kama products. Hope this works for my hair. Would update you guys
Eau Thermale Avene Very High protection Sun cream SPF50+ (5ml)– Full Size Rs.1250/- for 50ml- I have used Avene VHP SPF50+ Sunscreen spray before and liked it. This is a little richer though and meant for normal to dry skin.
Two 6ml sachets of L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep Cream– Full Size Rs.1990/- for 200ml- Its a leave in conditioner. Have not used it yet. Sounds good though
Kama Ayurveda Mridul Soap Free Face Cleanser- small sample- Full Size Rs.295/- for 40g- Its an ayurvedic, natural soap free cleanser which is to be mixed with water and massaged all over the face. I wanted to try this from a long time and I am glad I got to. Really liking it so far.
Eminence Organics Red Currant Balancing Concentrate- 2ml sachet- Full Size Rs.6413/- for 35ml- I am not a fan of Eminence Organics or small 2ml sachets. Not happy with this.
I would have loved to try the H2O Sea Moss Replenishing Body Lotion instead of the Eminence Organics Concentrate since I am not much into anti-ageing skin care.
Overall its a mixed bag yet again. I liked the Kama products and the fact that there are 2 hair products in the box this time. But definitely expect much more from My Envy Box.
I know I had done the summery floral dress OOTD recently. But since, I had done that after a long time, I have few more for you guys. There is one more this week 😀
I am loving slouchy pants this season. I have loved them in summers and they are still good for the rains, if they are cropped. Reason: They don’t stick like denims, they are thinner so they dry quickly and are super super comfy. I already have a polka dot one but in black base. See HERE. This one is in white..and I bought another plain peach slouchy pants from the Zara sale. :p
I paired them with this faux leather black peplum top which has a triangle knot cut out at the back. And completed it with my favorite leopard metal and leather statement necklace and my trusted black bag.
Its more of a ‘casual comfy meet goth’ kinda look.
Added the Daniel Wellington watch and my current favorite Solester flats.
More about Solester.com: “My new footwear is so damn cool but still i can’t wear it with every dress.” #EveryGirlsProblem
Solester is a one of its kind transformable footwear that demonstrates a new horizon in the Indian footwear industry. As the tagline – The joy of changing it, often clearly implies, the footwear allows for changing multiple uppers on a single sole. It’s perceived to be a dream come true for a women who has to everyday match her dress with a matching shoe.
The uppers are made from high quality leather with comfort and style forming the sole basis of the product. It brings out the designer self in you and allows for a mix and match to create many different looks in accordance with the dress and mood that you are wearing.
With the patent pending technology, the uppers are attached to the robust and comfortable sole safely without compromising on the quality and style. Solester is a result of a dedicated 2 years spent on research and product iterations by a team of dedicated designers and engineers each having experience of more than 10 years in the footwear industry. Here every design is unique and speaks for itself on comfort, style and quality.
The innovative transformable system allows for a purchase of one sole and then purchase of multiple uppers later, in accordance to the mood or need. It saves you:
Money : By giving you the freedom to buy only uppers Space : So you can keep more stuff in the closet and travel bags
“Give a women the right shoes and she can conquer the world” – Marliyn Monroe.
Our goal was clear from day 1 – the shoe must score 10/10 on comfort, style and durability without exception. Countless iteration, endless hours and infinite round of testing for a period of over 2 years finally gave us what we required.
Almost certain that we finally wanted to give birth to this idea and what followed was the beginning
of Solester’s Journey. The journey of spreading the joy – The joy of changing it, often.
If you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen them in my updates too..
I think its a superb idea. I got one pair of uppers too. And I can buy more uppers and just change them, and get new shoes 😉 How cool! Though they are not exactly cheap, but its pure leather. So when you expect amazing quality, you need to shell a few bucks. Plus its only once for the soles. Later you just need to buy the uppers. And they have free shipping and flat 20% off currently for a limited period of time. (Use the code ‘Solester55’). They also have free returns withing 7 days if you have size issue or something. And I just saw that they have 30% off on few uppers..the white Lauren upper is for Rs.699/- currently.
Btw, I also tried a print on print..with stripes and polka dots..I think its looks pretty decent..whaddya think ?
