Sweets Cosmetics Sweet Skin Body Lotion Review

What the Company claims: This body lotion is light but still densely packed with moisturizing ingredients such as glycerine which is a natural humectant (meaning it attracts moisture to skin and hair). Yes please! We have a fragrance for everyone: citrus, floral, or fresh. Take your pick and start enjoying sweeter skin.

Comes in 3 variants:
Hey There Sugar Pie-Vanilla Mint
Look at you Babycakes!- Orange Lime
Pretty Please, Dahling- Rose Cucumber

MRP: 5.99$ fir 2 ounces and 19.99$ for 8 ounces

I am reviewing the Rose Cucumber mix. Its a baby pink thick lotion and comes in a flip cap bottle…with a light rose cucumber smell.

Pros:

1. I love the sweet names given to the different variants.
2. Keeps skin moisturised for the whole day.
3. Made from natural ingredients.
4. Would suit people with dry skin.

Cons:

1, Its super thick and removing it out from the bottle is a pain.
2. You need to massage it into your skin for 5 whole minutes for it to get absorbed !
3. There is a little greasy feeling until it gets completely absorbed.
4. Expensive for the quantity.

Would I buy it again: NO…

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.

Coming to the texture, its  neither a  runny lotion nor a thick body butter. This has a mousse like consistency as it reads butter cream…so its super easy to spread it on the skin. It actually feels like cocoa cream..I just love applying it. It looks cream colored but goes on transparent on skin.

Pros:
1. Stands upto its claims…get instantly absorbed,is totally non greasy and enough moisturising.
2. As its aqua based, its super smooth to apply and does not give that sticky greasy feeling like cold creams.
3. Super cheap at Rs. 100/-
4. Comes seal packed on the top.
5. Quantity is amazing..and the texture is such how much ever you use..it would stay for a long time.
6. I have not used it on my face but its amazingly perfect for the body.

Cons:
1 Has parabens as preservatives.
2. Availability would be a problem for some.
3. The smell is of like usual cocoa butters..but I am ok with it and it goes away after some time.
4. As its in a jar, you have to dip your hands in and thats unhygienic.
5. It melts in heat..and turns into a runny liquid..though it still works..using it becomes a little difficult.

Garnier Body Cocoon Review

Garnier Body Cocoon Review

I know many of you have tried it and I have got mixed reviews..some love it and it their HG and some hate it..well I found it to be somewhere in between.

What the Company claims :
Is this right for me ? Yes, if your skin feels dry, rough, flaky and tight, Garnier Body Cocoon moisturising lotion will soothe and restore the skin’s suppleness, leaving it feeling unbelievably soft.
How is it different ?
Its creamy yet light texture is instantly absorbed into the skin-enveloping it in a nourishing cocoon of softness, leaving it deliciously fragranced. Its moisturising formula blends selected natural ingredients.
Nutritive fruit oils from apricots, olives, blackcurrants and avocados to deliver an immediate burst of moisture to the skin.
Visible Results: Dry skin appears transformed Visibly smoother, Noticeably softer. Do not apply on the face.

Garnier Body products use wherever possible, active natural ingredients which have been carefully extracted to preserve their quality and purity.
Have been dermatologically tested to ensure respect to your skin.
Now this is a huge huge claim :p

Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Paraffinum Liquidum/Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Elaeis Guineensis/Palm Oil, Stearyl Heptanoate, Hexyldecanol, Olea Europaea/Olive Fruit Oil, Persea Gratissima/Avocado Oil, Prunus Armeniaca/Apricot Kernel Oil, Ribes Nigrum/Black Currant Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera/Grape Seed Oil, Carbomer, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Caprylate, Triethanolamine, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum/Fragrance, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

MRP: Rs 89/- for 125 ml and Rs 145/- for 250 ml (which was 75 and 130 before..why the increase in prices !!)

This is a thick white lotion..actually the texture is more like a cream and thats why takes ages for it to come out.
The smell is a bit different and weird but it faints in a few minutes and does not stay for long.

Pros:
1. It moisturises the skin well for my normal body skin.
2. Economical at Rs 89/-
3. Easy to carry around.
4. I like the packaging and the bright orange bottle.
5. Does not leave the skin greasy.

Cons:
1. Takes 5 mins to get absorbed into the skin properly.
2. Would not suit extra dry skin as they would need more moisturisation.
3. Claims are too high and it does not fulfill all.
4. I would expect more qty as this small bottle if used on hands and legs would not even stay for 2-3 weeks.

Rating:

Quality- 3.5/5
Value for money- 3/5
Availabilty- 5/5

Overall rating- 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..I quite liked it as it does suit my skin.

Something about the Japanese cherry blossom : The cherry blossom lotion has certain extracts that help to smoothen the skin and make it soft and naturally shiny. It cleanses the skin of harmful toxins and keeps it looking good and healthy. These benefits are further heightened when coupled with the sweet fragrance of cherries that comes from the lotion and from those areas of the body on which the lotion is applied. It is a white thick lotion with a strong smell and gets aborbed in a jiffy.

Cons:

1. Has alcohol and parabens.
2. I know many people love this smell but I found it a bit overpowering for my taste. Since fragrances are personal choices I cant really comment..
3. Availability..not available in India easily and if available..would be more expensive coz of customs.

Overall rating- 3.5/5 (less coz of the smell)

Would I buy it again- If I get to I would surely…esp the Warm Vanilla Sugar, Black Amethyst, Twilight Woods..
