November 2016 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got the November Fab Bag yesterday late night, so I unboxed it today.

This month’s theme is ‘Ready Set Glow’. It’s a red colored pouch, I was expecting the bag to be of better quality, the paint had worn off from certain sides. Also it’s very basic and nothing fancy for the festive season which usually Fab Bag has.

I love each and every product in this month’s Fab Bag. I had an option to choose one makeup product and I went with the City Color Lipstick in Phoebe. I saw the swatches online and even read the review. It’s a beautiful shade and a very comfortable matte formula.

Phoebe is a pretty, mauve pink shade.

Veda Earth Under Eye oil has saffron, vetiver and lotus extracts. I have major dark circles currently and this sounds absolutely perfect. It comes in a roll on form, making it easy to use and carry along.

Just Herbs Aloe Vera Massage Gel has cucumber and soy lecithin. It smells herbal, but pretty decent. Aloe Vera Gels are amazing anytime of the year and for all skin types.

Natural Bath & Body Mist in Sweet Ocean is absolutely amazing, it reminds me of my favourite Davidoff Cool Water. I am all about aqua scents and this one is fabulous. Perfect for my handbag!

Though not happy with the outer bag, I am loving every product in this month’s bag. Totally recommend it!

Total value of the products in this month’s bag comes to around Rs.1050-75.

Layer’r Wottagirl Secret Crush Body Splash Review

Since summer is round the corner, i thought of coming up with something summery. Well, i just love summers. Winters are not my best friend because you have to wear so many clothes in summers and you have to stay all day inside. Winters are quite boring and short. Whereas in summers you get the complete day to yourself. Anyways, let’s not drift away from the topic of summer essentials. Since all the seasons have some or the other staples. So, what’s your staple in summers? Well, for me sunscreen. But i have heard that many people treat perfumes or do as their staple in summer. Well, i am not a perfume girl and so i use perfume too less. But i have heard half of the world going gaga over this perfume. So, i thought of let’s try it out. And thus here follows my review.

Directions to use : Press the nozzle at the top and the splash will dispense out of the hole. Now, spray it on your underarms , handkerchiefs and any other place you like.

Ingredients : Ethyl alcohol (extra neutral alcohol), diethyl phthalate, aqua perfume, PEG 40, propylene glycol, ethylhexyl methocinnamate,  ethylhexyl salicilate, BHT , triclosan, CI 45430

What it claims :
Layerr brings you Wottagirl fragrant body splashes; fragrances that will leave you feeling fresh and smelling beautiful.A seductive fusion of ripe oranges and lemons, enveloped in the classic floral sweetness of jasmine.

My experience with Layer’r Wottagirl Secret crush Body Splash

Firstly, let’s talk about the packaging. it comes in really fancy and classy packaging. it is a big glass bottle which is transparent and has attractive designs going on in the body. the product name and other details are on the bottle. the bottle similar to other perfumes has a nozzle like opening which needs to be pressed a bit to bring the perfume out.

The perfume is gaseous in nature which is of course transparent. You cannot see it but just smell it. i remember Layer’r Wottagirl launched some more scents this time. All were quite distinct from one another and yet so good. This one is more like a feminine one and is very classy. It is not at all a troubling smell and stays on for quite long.

This month’s packaging is different, the theme is ‘India Mon Amour‘ (which means ‘India My Love’ in French) and all the products are natural, herbal and organic. It is an oxblood red box with golden design on top depicting ancient India figures. August box is all about skin care and fragrance this month and something for the eyes.

It also has a separate card this time, apart from the product card, which has 5 ayurvedic skin care tips.

Forest Essentials details are missing and the 5th skin care tip is mentioned, a little goof up

Also coming to the products, I love everything in this box. The Hedonista Frozen Ittar is all natural and organic made with coconut oil and pure ittar. It is so convenient to carry and comes in this small jar. You need just a teeny weeny bit and the smell lasts for 7-8 hours minimum!!

I have got 2-3 small pimples and it is actually the perfect time to try out this Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask. It is in powder form and you can mix it with rose water or normal water and just apply it and wash off. I can’t wait to try this, have liked Suganda products untill now.

I wanted to try the Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist since a long time and I got it in this month’s box! Yay 😀 I absolutely love the smell and it is the best body mist I have tried, it just absorbs into the skin and leaves behind a refreshing smell. I have tried body mists from Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret too, but nothing beats this Forest Essentials one!

Coming to the Soultree Kajal, I already have 2-3 of these including one colored. I find the colored ones a bit dry in texture and these black ones are nice but as usual smudge a lot. So not too keen on the Soultree Kajal, but a full sized product is always good.

The 4th product is an option between Forest Essentials Body Mist & SkinYoga scrub, now I would have liked both 😀 But anyway, not being greedy, I am in love with this month’s My Envy Box. There have never been 3 full sized products and one deluxe sized (which is actually HALF) sample ever any of their boxes.

August Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

I am back with another Fab Bag unboxing and review video.

Fab Bag is a monthly subscription bag where you get 4 (sometimes a 5th bonus) products.

August month of Fab Bag is ‘Cast A Spell’ edition, which is Fairy Tale and Princessy theme.

This time it is a metallic pink textured bag, a pretty bag though not something you can carry out, but good for travel yet again. All the Fab Bags are very multi-purpose and perfect for travel.

Contents of my August Fab Bag:

  • Divo Eyelash Curler- Full size (Rs.125/-)
  • Fran Wilson MoodMatcher Green Lipstick- Full size (Rs.590/-)
  • Roots Professional Morocvita Oil- 5ml (Full size Rs.2000/- for 120ml)
  • Ital Veloce Body Mist Summer Snowflakes -12ml (Rs.499/- for 210ml)
  • Bioderma Photoderm MAT SPF30- 5ml x 2 (Rs.1330/- for 40ml)

Overall, I would say I am quite happy with the eyelash curler and the moodmatcher lipstick, though it is not obviously worth Rs.590/-. The Ital Veloce Body Mist smells amazing and will be in my handbag now onwards.

I love the Roots Morocvita oil too, 5ml serum should last some time and I have another similar 5ml sample. Not very happy with the Bioderma small sample of sunscreen, but I am glad that at least they have included two samples coz one would be a total waste. I like Bioderma as a brand though and happy with the products.

I prefer deluxe sized samples and full sized products in a subscription box/bag. Though its a good bag, I would have loved a bigger sample of the Morocvita oil and Bioderma sunscreen, or maybe some other deluxe sized samples.

I would still recommend this month’s bag for a good mix of products and also an eyelash curler! Do book your bag for August if you haven’t already.

The Nine to 9 April Fab Bag Review

This month’s Fab Bag is a nice nine to 9 office from day to night look kind of concept. Something which you can keep in your office bag or drawer. Its a leopard print black and white bag.

What do we have in the bag:

  •  Malavara Shower Gel (Rs.300) and Body Lotion (Rs.390/-) in Lime Vetiver- 60ml each
  • City Color Blush Quad in the Shade Coral (Full size)- Rs.500/-
  • Denman Hair Brush – Rs.475/-
  • Chambor Body Mist in Tender Tuberose (10ml)- Rs.595/- for 200ml

My most favourite product out of all these was the Blush Quad in Coral which is a gorgeous mix of peach,pink and beige. How pretty does it look!

I also loved the Denman brush, I thought it might not be that good since it does not have cushion or padding at the base, but it is pretty decent. I would have loved it if it would have been foldable.

The Lime-Vetiver Shower Gel and Body Lotion Duo by Malvara smells really good and is perfect for carrying in your office bag or while you are travelling.

Coming to the Chambor Body Mist, it had all leaked when I got it, so I remain with just 2-3 ml of the product. It smells good and thankfully it was in bubble wrap, so has not leaked out in the bag or mixed with other products.

Overall I would say this month’s bag is totally worth it! The blush quad and hair brush are total value for money. Can’t wait for the May Fab Bag already 😀 These guys are getting better and better each day with the concepts, bags and kind of products. Its a pleasure to receive a bag and unveil it every month and then finding such useful and value for money products worth every penny of the bag!

Kama Ayurveda already has a rose water which is like quiet famous and their one of the most selling products..so now they also came up with Lavender water..

I, personally love lavender more than rose..so if I have to choose, I would go with Lavender.

It comes in a brown tinted plastic bottle with a nozzle spray and a plastic cap..the packaging is quite sturdy, travel friendly and good..no issued with the spray.

Kama Ayurveda Waters i.e rose, lavender, vetiver, sandalwood and mogra all act as toners basically. And purest forms of toner..

Love the lavender smell. It soothes and refreshes instantly..and is a must have in my bag in this scorching heat.

Pros:

1. Love the lavender smell.

2. Soothing and refreshing.

3. Very convenient to use..and the travel sized bottle would be perfect for travel.

4. Good sturdy packaging and spray.

5. Must have for summers.

6. Lavender Essential Oil also helps in insomnia..and I also spray it every night, just before sleeping 🙂

Cons:

1. Little expensive..but I guess this 200 ml would last real long..coz I am using it everyday..and its not even 10% empty yet..so totally worth it.

Overall, I would say, it is not something that makes tall magical claims..it is meant to soothe and refresh the skin..and give the skin a boost in these horrible summers..and it does exactly that.

You can choose any Kama Ayurveda Water out of the five, depending on your choice. I love Lavender and I would be sticking to this 😀
