Whatever be your body type – skinny, voluptuous, plus size, athletic or anything and everything else, women have curves, period (let’s not body shame please) and admire the ones who flaunt them tastefully, proudly and uninhibitedly! Ladies, you all have us slobbering. Fitness goals re-chalked and how!

Vidya Balan – Unarguably, the lady who had been hounded by the fashion fraternity, media and so-called fans for not fitting into the archetypal Euroepan-model like frame, the way Vidya chose to turn the cards in her favour with ‘The Dirty Picture’ (wherein she owned, flaunted and celebrated her natural curves) had everyone sighing over this South siren. Vidya Balan today is the first actress whose name explodes in one’s mind the minute “curvaceous” is mentioned.

2. Parineeti Chopra – Hounded in the name of being advised for long by every Tom, Dick and Harry for not being “in shape”, Parineeti transformed herself by 180 degrees by opting for a stringent fitness regimen that has enhanced her curves all the more. There is something indescribable about an archetypal Punjabi kudi, isn’t it? An aura of cheerfulness, pertness with oodles of vivaciousness and a my-way- or-the- highway attitude that she naturally exudes – Punjabi ladies compel one to take a second, more relaxed look at the firebrand lasses.

With respect to their choices in raiment, they know what they want and make no bones about it and boy, they look drop-dead gorgeous in everything that they swaddle themselves in as if it were tailor- made for them in the first place.

A number of our leading ladies in Tinsel-town have oft essayed Punjabi characters. While some went too loud and embarked on a cheesy treacle, others gripped the audience, critics and fashion connoisseurs effortlessly. Naturally, she looks an archetypal Punjabi lady onscreen convincingly!

5. GENELIA D’SOUZA- The livewire Genelia essayed the character of a Punjabi girl – Mini in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya opposite her now-hubby Riteish Deshmukh. Donned in typical embellished Punjabi suits and exuding a carefree attitude, Genelia nailed the look.

6. KAJOL- And who can give the powerhouse performer Kajol’s role in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham a miss? Essaying the role of a typical Chandni Chowk motormouth, her portrayal is hard to miss. 7. SABA QAMAR – A newbie to B-town, Pakistani actress Saba Qamar’s acting credentials are hard to overlook. So is her cherubic semblance. In the critically and commercially acclaimed Hindi Medium, Saba essayed the role of Mita Batra and carried off the typical Delhi lingo, mannerisms and body language convincingly.

Young, vibrant, exuberant, cheerful and a fashionista who exudes the girl-next- door vibe, Disha Patani is a head-turner, period. With an infectious smile, commendable sense of style, feminine aura and oodles of pertness, no wonder she has been catching the eyes of the Fash frat.

Both off-screen and on-screen, her appearances are to look forward to. On that note, let’s feast our eyes to her best off-screen avatars.

1) At the Lakme Fashion Week 2017 – Gracing the ramp with her bubbliness, Disha blended regal with chirpiness as she donned a gorgeous designer Jayanti Reddy’s creation at The Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017. She wore an ink blue lehenga and choli combination that had a cream, polka dot, gotta Patti Dupatta embellished with huge tassels.

2) At the India Couture Week 2017 – Dressed in a glamorous black lehenga as she strutted down the runway for Manav Gangwani at the India Couture Week, Disha Patani looked every inch the diva that she is. A beaming smile and her dainty frame complemented her gorgeous look all the more.

6) During Kung Fu Panda’s promotional event – Eliciting vibrance, zest and sunshine, Disha stepped out in a pretty red floor length anarkali from hot-shot couturier Anita Dongre during one of the promotional legs of her then impending flick – Kung Fu Panda. The lady may not rank high on the charts of film connoisseurs and critics but she surely knows how to be the talk of the town thanks to her high-octane dance moves, angelic visage and enviable body/curves. She’s none other than the statuesque Katrina Kaif. Let us have a rundown of her Best Off-screen looks now.

1. IN REBECCA TAYLOR- Bringing a boho vibe to her off-screen avatars, Katrina opted for a printed block print maxi dress by Rebecca Taylor that had sheer mesh inserts as well as cut out sleeves during one of the promotional events of Fitoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor. With her luscious locks let loose and nude makeup, she was an out-and- out head-turner at the event.

2. IN DOLCE AND GABBANA- Clad in a lemon print off shoulder dress from Dolce and Gabbana, Katrina set out to promote Fitoor. Accessorising it with embellished beige pumps from Charles and Keith, she added a pair of gold earrings from Loupe Kat looked like a diva. Not to forget red lips complement her look very well.

3. IN BODICE- Giving everyone a peak-a- boo to her chiselled and absolutely enviable abs, Katrina draped herself in polka printed culottes from Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva. She teamed it up with a white crop top by Dhruv Kapoor and matching sneakers. The look delineates comfort, chicness and ease, doesn’t it? Sassy without even trying, that’s what bursts upon my mind on seeing this look of hers.

4. IN MSGM- Swathed in a knitted bandage dress from MSGM‘s resort 2016 collection paired with Eytys white sneakers styled by Tanya Ghavri, the statuesque lass looked drop-dead gorgeous during one of the promotional events for Fitoor.

5. IN AN AZZEDINE ALAIA DRESS- Clad in a blush pink fit and flare dress by Azzedine Alaia, Katrina was spotted at the Mehboob Studios in Mumbai where she shot for a TV commercial. This lady takes minimalism to a whole new level and makes sure that it looks mesmeric too.

6. IN ROKSANDA- The sultry Katrina Kaif unleashed her chirpy and effervescent facet as she swaddled herself in a Roksanda cutout jumpsuit and black leather sneakers during one of the promotional legs of Baar Baar Dekho in the capital with her co-star Siddharth Malhotra. Simple, subtle and sizzling… this look is the exemplar of comfort.

Sometimes, miracles happen overnight. It required just one film to catapult Shraddha Kapoor to the status of an overnight sensation. With forgettable box-office duds like ‘Teen Patti’ and ‘Luv Ka The End’ in the past, Aashiqui2 opposite the dashing debonairhunk- Aaditya Roy Kapoor, came as a much-needed kiss of life to Shraddha. A few years down the line and the perky Marathi mulgi (as she considers herself more a Marathi than a Punjabi) is riding hide on the success of a number of her flicks. It’s hard to turn a blind eye to her effervescence, charm, vivaciousness and girl-next- door avatars. Let us feast our eyes to the Best off-screen looks of this pert actress then, shall we? 🙂

1. DURING ABCD2 PROMOTIONS – Tanya Ghavri has styled Shraddha for her ABCD 2 promo tour and looks like she took her task with utmost seriousness. Pairing a Hemant & Nandita creation with Zara flats, Shraddha looked her usual chirpy self. And not to forget her tousled brown locks look drool- worthy.

2. ALL SUITED UP- The ebullient Shraddha Kapoor’s feminine spin on the power suit is simply put-Style goals. The colour with zero accessories and nude makeup makes this look an out-and- out hit.

3. DURING THE HAIDER PROMOTIONS- And here comes the girl who no guy would think twice before popping the question. Carrying this beige look with sheer aplomb, Shraddha rocks in a soft, feminine dress and rounds it off with wavy hair.

UNLEASHING THE TOMBOY WITHIN- The livewire Shraddha, for the promotion of ABCD 2 attended an episode of the dance reality show- DID Super Moms with her ABCD2 co-star Varun Dhawan in a Gas grey denims and jacket with a white Zara graphic tee. Opting for a casual look, she completed her look by keeping her hair in a sleek ponytail, bracelets and a pair of gold Adidas sneakers. Talk of going funky and miss out Shraddha? Naah, that is just not happening anytime soon.

5. GOING BOHO CHIC- Going boho chic, Shraddha opts for a causal look in an Urvashi Kaur outfit. She completes it with a pink top and gypsy pants with a statement neckpiece by Blur designs, Gucci sandals and a quirky ombre hairdo. Certainly, my top pick out of all her looks.

6. FOR BAAGHI PROMOTONS- Sparkling in a Prabal Gurung black and blue blocked dress during the promotional tour of Baaghi, Shraddha kept her look minimal. She opted for side swept locks and black ankle strap sandals which rounded off her look.

7. UNLEASHING THE FEMININE SIDE- Swaddled in in DvF and Zara for the promotions of Haider on India’s Raw Star, Shraddha looked effortlessly stylish and chic. Not going overboard in styling is her USP. Have a look at her feline eyes and you’ll be transfixed.

Within a span of merely two years, Kriti Sanon has catapulted herself to the status of the ‘Next Big Thing’ in Tinsel-town. A model-turned- actress who ventured into the glamorous and glitzy world of movies, Kriti began her career with modelling initially and then, signed some flicks down South.

Making inroads into Tinsel-town with Heropanti opposite Tiger Shroff and then, starring in the commercial potboiler ‘Dilwale’ with superstars SRK and Kajol, opposite Varun Dhawan, Kriti has her kitty full with many flicks. A towering height with porcelain skin and slender frame, she has all the trappings of a Hindi film heroine. Making her presence felt every now and then thanks to her impeccable fashion sense, let us treat our eyes to the Best Off-screen looks of Kriti Sanon 🙂

5. IN ‘NOT SO SERIOUS’ BY PALLAVI MOHAN- Sporting a multi-print dress by Pallavi Mohan for another promotional event of Dilwale, Kriti looked poised and pert. With a pair of metallic oxfords from Aldo and her poker-straight tresses let loose, she completed her look.

6. KEEPING THINGS CASUAL- With a heart patterned sweatshirt from Shahin Mannan that was styled with denims and metallic sneakers, Kriti posed for a picture. Certainly, not going overboard is her mantra and we see her keeping things casual but chic.

It’s fun. It’s flirtatious. It’s sassy and it’s in! Confounded? Don’t be. I am talking about what has made it to the fancy of Tinsel town ladies these days… Crop Tops! There is no denying that crop tops amp up one’s glam quotient by leaps and bounds. And if your midriff is drool-worthy, a crop top brings all the limelight to it in the most flattering and tasteful manner. On that note, let us take a note of those B-wood ladies who carry off crop tops in sheer panache and aplomb.

1. KATRINA KAIF- With a face so cherubic and a body that is enviable, it comes as no doubt that Katrina Kaif had to make it to the list. Seen here is Katrina swaddled in a prepossessing Dhruv Kapoor crop top with a pair of culottes by Bodice at the Fitoor promotions. She slipped on to a pair of comfortable sneakers. A tied back ponytail completed her chic look.

3. TAMMANAAH BHATIA- The warrior princess of Bahhubali, Tammanaah Bhatia is the epitome of cuteness. With a porcelain clear complexion, her choice of colour is impeccable. Pink suits those with a lighter skin tone the most just the way orange complements warm shades the best. Tammanaah is seen here swaddled in a candy pink crop top and skirt by Elizabeth and James. Nude pumps? Check. Wavy beachy tousled hair? Check. Natural makeup? Check.

This was paired with distressed cropped denims. Sporty loafers in white completed her look. Pssst… I know you are drooling over her abs. I understand. Even I am 🙂

5. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- Another fashionista of Bollywood who almost always steps as if on a mission to leave one and all awestruck with her impeccable sense of dressing. Having donned crop tops a couple of times, Priyanka here shows you how to style it in a number of ways. Long skirt, denims, pencil skirts… You name it and she shows it and how! And that midriff is worth drooling over, isn’t it?

Chances are you would have been at your wits end when it comes to zeroing in on the ideal outfit for office at some point of your life. It is not school where everyone has to wear a uniform. It is not college where you have complete volition to try out whatever you’d like to be it- the ethnic kurta, the grungy rock star attire with a bandana or your go-to long skirt teamed with a tank top. Office calls for a change in your wardrobe, doesn’t it? So, why not glance at the best corporate/office looks that Tinsel-town ladies carried in panache and borrow some?

1. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- In a film whose immanent theme was role reversal ‘Ki and Ka’, Kareena played Kiya- the head honcho of a multinational company. Swaddled in the most chic and comfortable one-pieces (not gaudy or revealing ones) with cropped blazers that makes the entire looks trendy as well as professional. Kudos! Mrs. Khan.

2. SONAM KAPOOR – The Fashionista of Bollywood- Sonam Kapoor cannot be left behind when it comes to making waves with her effortless fashion style. 3. ALIA BHATT –Inarguably she displays the most eclectic range of ethnic office attire. Seen here is Alia swaddled in a plain black kurta with a pink Chinese collar and dupatta. This is from the scene where she is seen during a presentation in the movie – 2 States. For those ladies who are neither fond nor comfortable with sporting western office attire, sporting such plain kurtis comes across as a viable option.

5. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- My vote for the best office/corporate attire to come out from Bollywood has to be from Deepika in Piku. Keeping the weather in mind, Deepika opts for a traditional fabric kurta with palazzo pants and mojris. Her accessories include bags, sunglasses, earrings and a scarf. The palazzo pants make sure that the fabric does not stick to one’s body and discomfit a person during our infamous sweltering summers.

6. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- And the Quantico girl arrives on the list and how! Shown to be working for Verve magazine in Dostana, PeeCee’s look had to be glamourous, chic and dramatic- something not usually associated with the minimalistic looks we see in conventional office jobs. As a result, she swaddled herself in bright dramatic outfits that looked apt with the field she was shown to be in- fashion.

7. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- We can’t help it if the lady has it in her to get a second feature in the list. Deepika Padukone, in the early days of her career essayed the role of a corporate employee in Kartik Calling Kartik. Shown to be a woman of today, her look was kept minimal and sophisticated. With soft curls cascading down her shoulders, she sported simple sleeveless white shirts teaming them up with a black figure-hugging skirt.

Bollywood Ladies Who Carry Jumpsuits the Best

There may be myriad outfits at any given point of time. Period. Quite naturally, every trip to the market to zero in on an outfit for an occasion and you’d be spoiled for choice. While most outfits aren’t ‘versatile’ In the sense that you can’t put them on for any occasion/event sans a second thought. Come on, who wears a saree for a casual day out with friends, after all? But wait, there is one attire that is rightfully versatile to a ‘great extent’. Be it a casual day out with friends or a party, a date or a flight journey, jumpsuits are there to your rescue. Let us then, have a look at those Tinsel- town ladies who carry jumpsuits the best 🙂

1. SONAM KAPOOR- She strode in elan in an Elie Saab Jumpsuit On Day 3 Of MAMI 2015 and we were swept off our feet. Sonam, like never before, makes heads turn and after seeing her, we get to know why. This leggy lass is a Fashionista not for anything.

2. NARGIS FAKHRI- She is a lady who dresses effortlessly but doesn’t get as many roses thrown at her as some do in Tinsel-town so, here we are, doing what we think she deserves. That is to say, drool at her. At an event in Mumbai, Nargis looked drop-dead gorgeous in a sleek black jumpsuit. Minimalism is the key here and it works wonders, don’t you think so?

3. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- And here comes the reigning queen of Tinsel-town’s Box Office. And it looks like DP has made up her mind to plumb jumpsuits like no one. Be it a tiger-print or a strapless jumpsuit, a high-necked white jumpsuit or one revealing her décolletage, Deepika has gone all out with the attire and made heads turn. My favourite amongst all would be the one in tiger-print 🙂

4. YAMI GAUTAM- Swaddled in a Do & Be jumpsuit, Yami beams radiantly. Her nude makeup, minimal accessorising and girl-next- door charm compel us to envisage ourselves in place of Ayushmaan Khurrana as he serenaded her in Vicky Donor with ‘Paani Da Rang’. This looks proves that simplicity never goes out of vogue.

5. ATHIYA SHETTY- Newbies Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi made an appearance at F Bar in Delhi during one of the promotional tours of their then, impending flick- Hero. Athiya was swaddled in a gorgeous white jumpsuit by designer Ridhi Mehra from her latest collection. It goes without saying that she did justice to the embroidered ribbon sleeves jumpsuit.

6. KAJAL AGGARWAL- For the promotion of one of her flicks- Sardar Gabbara Singh, the perky Kajal kept things minimal in a Zara jumpsuit. Red lip, a classic wristwatch and nude pumps completed her look and don’t we just look at her with sheep’s eyes all this while?

7. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- During one of the screenings of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kareena sported a black and white printed DvF jumpsuit. With a Christopher Kane black sling bag with gold chain and Saint Laurent sandals, she rounded off her look. Aren’t you smitten?

Bollywood Fashion Faceoff: Who Wore it Better?

Choc-a- bloc schedules with film assignments, dubbing, movie promotions at myriad venues, advert shoots, press conferences, store launches, award ceremonies and frequent outdoor shoots… phew! It would be arduous to swaddle oneself in the trendiest of outfits and showcase one’s sense of style every time a star steps out. The struggle is all the more tedious for a Bollywood actress who is screened from top to toe for her style, while a male celeb may evade the lens of the fashion police, scot-free even after committing the most heinous of fashion faux pas.

In the midst of all this, B-town celebs, particularly the female ones end up crossing each other’s paths swathed in the same outfit! Now, that is not a blunder per se. One may have an idea of what they would wear for a particular event, but how is one supposed to have any inkling of others sartorial choices given one’s hectic schedules? So, while wearing the same attire is admissible and not at all cringe-worthy in my opinion, yet we can surely assess who wore it better – that is, who brought to the outfit their sense of style, individuality and panache? They say- Never let clothes wear you. So, let us check out who did the same. Let it out in the comments section.

1. DEEPIKA OR SONAM- ‘Great minds think alive’ so goes an adage. Certainly, in this case, when two of Bollywood’s leading ladies in the present time and ace fashionistas think alike, we get to treat our eyes to their winsome appearances. Both the ladies decided to wear the same sarees but at different events. While Deepika swaddled herself in a cut sleeve blouse and a high pony at one of the events of Chennai Express’ promotions, Sonam sported a vintage look with three-quarter- sleeved blouse and a loose bun for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag promotions.

2. YAMI, PARINEETI OR ALIA- All belonging to the new crop of Tinsel-town- Yami Gautam, Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt decided to team a see-through black-n- white top with denims to keep the look easy-going and laidback. Although there may emerge a winner amongst Yami and Alia, but Parineeti underwhelmed thanks to the faux pas she suffered.

3. KAREENA OR DEEPIKA- And now that’s what you call an exact replica! The dimpled Deepika stepped out in a mesmeric houndstooth print outfit to promote Ram Leela on the sets of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show. Coincidentally, not long ago, the feisty Kareena Kapoor Khan posed for the cover of a magazine in an exact replica of the outfit.

4. SHILPA OR DEEPIKA- And here come the ladies who have the best bodies in Bollywood without any iota of doubt! Naturally, any dress would complement the two, but what if the two sultry lasses zero in on the same attire? Scroll upwards and decide for yourselves. Baffled, aren’t you? Clearly here, only the skirt of both the divas is common yet, even that is sufficient to draw parallels. While Deepika teamed up her floral print Zara skirt with a bishop sleeved top, Shilpa opted for a loose white top gathered with a belt with the same skirt.

5. DEEPIKA OR PARINEETI- Opting for a blue and red number with psychedelic prints, the statuesque Deepika Padukone and the pert Parineeti Chopra both held court at the respective events they wore it to. While Deepika wore the dress first at a Film Awards announcement conference in January 2016, Parineeti was seen wearing the dress at a photoshoot a few months later.

6. KATRINA OR SONAKSHI- Clad in a short printed dress, both Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi ‘shotgun’ Sinha looked like sisters cut from the same cloth. While Katrina wore the one-piece at the audio launch of Bang Bang, Sonakshi swaddled herself in the same raiment in one of the songs of Action Jackson.

7. KAREENA OR DEEPIKA- And it is Kareena Kapoor Khan versus Deepika Padukone again! Both the A-list actresses of Tinsel-town seem to have a similar taste in fashion, don’t they? This was the second instance when they stepped out wearing the same attire. Kareena walked the green carpet of IIFA 2014 in a black Giorgio Armani gown, a slight variation of which Deepika sported at IIFA 2016. While Kareena added a sheer to cover up her frontal bare, Deepika decided to bare it all and raising the oomph of the apparel by leaps and bounds.
