OOTD: December Fashion Lookbook

Hi guys,

So last month I recorded all the outfits I wore to different events and did not get a chance to post them on the blog, so I am compiling all of them together today.

Here is the youtube video, a small lookbook kind 🙂

Outfit 1:

It’s an abstract print maxi dress which is sheer half way through and has slits on the side. I paired it with nude sling bag and nude/beige clogs and my rose gold Michael Kors watch. I wore it to The Body Shop #JourneyAroundTheWorld Event.

Outfit 2:

I love midi skirts and this rose print one is my most favourite. I paired this skirt with a simple white shirt and folded the sleeves. A black and pink roses statement necklace and the same watch and bag to complete the look. My same old black and gold ankle strap sandals. I wore this to the Avene #SensitiveSkin event as the theme was white and pink.

Outfit 3:

This is the same outfit I wore for my birthday last year. (See HERE) It’s an off shoulder black half printed dress. I love how this dress is so comfortable and has two pockets 😀 I wore this to the Amante store launch. My MK watch and orange bucket bag to complete the look.

Outfit 4:

This is an old bird print peter pan collar dress, I spoke about this dress in my 2015 rewind post. It comes with a white belt and is a perfect day time/brunch/shopping with friends kind of a dress. Again super comfortable and can be worn anywhere. The same rose gold MK watch and Accessorize sling 🙂 And my favourite tan brogues finish the look. I wore this for the TBZ video shoot, see HERE

OOTD/Lookbook: 3 Casual Outfits

I had not done the 3 outfits series since a long time, see previous ones HERE, HERE and HERE

These are the outfits I wore recently for the events I attended, I have also done a lookbook video 🙂

Outfit 1:

I have seen this long maxi slit tops a lot in the past few months, I never found them in Forever 21 and there was on StalkBuyLove which was almost OOS every time. Finally I found this blue and purple ombre slit top and it is just perfect, except for the length for me if I wear it with flats. I absolutely love the fit, comfort, color, fabric, everything about this top and if you are looking for a long maxi slit top, Stalkbuylove has quite a few options now.

Outfit 2:

A shirt dress again, this time it’s beige, white and black color blocked shirt dress. What I like about this dress is that it can even be worn as a cape. The belt defines the waist and I paired it with the same bag and shoes, but with my Michael Kors watch. I wore this for the Woods new Collection showcase.

Outfit 3:

This is my favourite, bright yellow A-line dress. I absolutely love the lower print, it is quite bright and a statement in itself. I paired it with the same nude sling and my Daniel Wellington watch. I went for strappy block heels since it is more dressy. I was going to wear it for The Body Shop gift wrapping workshop event but I had to run errands that day and this dress is slightly tighter and was not the most comfortable, so I had to change. The only problem is the fit, even though I ordered it as per the size mentioned, it is tight for me. If you plan to buy this, go for a size up.

OOTD: Crop Top,White Culottes

Hey guys,

An OOTD post today.I love culottes in monsoons coz they don’t get dirty from the bottom plus they dry out pretty quickly unlike denims. So culottes are your best bet in the rains. Also they give the look of a skirt with the feel of pants :p I had styled a pair of floral culottes last monsoon HERE.

This time it is a pair of white culottes and I went with a crop top. I love how the coral red crop top works with the white culottes. I was not too pleased with the fit of the culottes, but as the size increases so does the length and since I am short, it somehow clashes :/ I accessorized with a nice, chunky statement neck piece and let that be the showstopper of the outfit.

A simple gold midi ring, watch and brogues to complete the look.

OOTD: Navy Blue Crop Top,Floral Palazzos

Hi guys,

I am back with an OOTD. I have seen palazzos doing rounds since a long time,I always felt they look good only on taller and leaner women like maxi dresses, and hence never tried them.

This time, I thought, why not give it a try and I saw this beautiful floral palazzos and fell in love with them. This navy blue lace crop top matched perfectly with the palazzos and also the fit was amazing,it hugged the body snuggly. The upper part was lace which played a peek-a-boo.

The palazzos are so,so comfortable. light and airy. I feel I can wear them everyday, even in these summers.

Since the top and bottoms were lace and floral, I did not accessorize much and just went with my classic watch and tan brogues. And my favourite companion MK Selma Mini.

I wore this at the Pantene event last week, and we also met the super hot Lisa Haydon.

OOTD: Orange Lace Dress, Floral Blazer

Hi guys,

If you read the previous post, you know we had been for lunch yesterday at The Trident, BKC. We also ended up shooting the outfit since I loved the decor.

 

I wore this pretty orange lace dress which can also be worn off shoulder, but since I had layered it with a blazer, I wore it normally. I absolutely love the fit and how it hugs the waist and gives a shape and is not like a shift dress. Plus orange and yellow are my favourite colors <3

I wore this very light, floral blazer on top. It is so light, that I could comfortably wear it in these summers too. (obviously with the AC indoors) Since the dress and blazer are all bright and colorful, I skipped the accessories and kept the bag and shoes neutral.

So, I paired the outfit with my favourite Michael Kors sling (which you guys are bored of seeing now, but I am too lazy to change bags :D) and another current favourite, these tan brogues. Also added, a classic Daniel Wellington watch.

Flat Shoe Trends 2015

From Bottega Veneta to Michael Kors to Marc Jacobs, this year was all about flats at the runaway. Since now I am supposed to wear only flats for another 2-3 months, I am all for stylish flats 😀 If we have to do it, why not do it in style. Right?

Some flat shoes in trend currently are:

1. Ballerinas

Ballerinas or Bellies as we call it, is the oldest and the most common flat shoe trend. I guess its been there since forever and will continue to be so. There are so many different designs,colors and textures possible in ballets from glitter to prints to bright colors to bows. Even studded and spiked ones look cool, studded flats work with almost all of your outfits. They are casual,comfortable and yet look chic. Currently, we have those cute cat and dog design on right and left foot going on. Or the famous Chiara Ferragni glitter winked eye.

2. Flat Sandals

All your T-Strap sandals or strappy gladiators fall here. Casual and comfortable for daily wear and they look stylish at the same time.

3. Birkenstock

Birkenstock is a German brand that makes one particular type of sandals that have contoured cork and rubber footbeds and conform to the shape of the wearer’s feet. These are not the most good looking sandals, also called the ‘ugly sandals’ like they call the Crocs 😀 But are very comfortable and the white Birkenstocks are all the rage.

4. Brogues

Brogues work with your casual wear from denims to dresses to skirts and even your formal wear. Brogues were seen a lot this time, at the Lakme Fashion Week, one reason being they are stylish yet comfortable. When you can’t be in heels whole day, brogues are a perfect replacement.

5. Sliders

Pool sliders or even casual sliders are quite IN right now. We saw these metallic sliders by Bottega Veneta on the runaway recently.

6. Slip Ons/Sneakers

The super comfortable slip ons or sneakers are your best bet. Every girl should atleast one. All your Vans,Converse fall here. For that matter, even Bata makes very good slip ons/sneakers. You do find a gem there at times 😀 Metallic, glitter and ombre are must haves!
