What the Company claims: This every day-use foaming face cleansing gel is enriched with Neem, Holy Basil and Turmeric known for antiseptic properties. It provides gentle exfoliation with Arjuna, Symplocos bark and jojoba meal, banishes impurities from the clogged pores. It dissolves and eliminates dead epithelial cells exposing the tingling fresh clean skin beneath with the help of Orange peel. It comes in a long slender plastic bottle..with a nozzle opening and a plastic cap…since it has honey, turmeric, etc..its yellowish in color with a brown tinge..it has small exfoliating brown granules..probably the jojoba meal and arjuna bark as mentioned..has an ayurvedic smell too..a mix of honey and herbs kinda..

Its a very light, gentle cleanser..does not foam much..good for everyday cleansing..and exfoliates a little too..

Pros:

1. I love the ingredients and that each has its own properties..being antiseptic, exfoliating and dissolves dead skin cells.
2. No parabens or SLS or any harmful chemicals..this can be used without any fear of harmful chemicals..as it is completely natural.
3. Gentle cleansing..it does not strip the skin of oils..and leave it supple and soft.
4. No animal testing.
5. Certified Ayurvedic.
6. Though its priced high…its good enough to be priced that way..and 100 ml is a good quantity.

Cons:

1. Packaging is a little inconvenient. The product does not come out many a times..and the beads are hardly there..so I have to open the dispensor every time to remove the product..I guess a pump dispensor would have been better.
2. It does not foam much..so those who are into deep cleansing or love foaming face washes..this one is not for you.
3. Availability is an issue with Just Herbs..it can be found on UrbanTouch and Natural Mantra.

Overall I quite like it..its very gentle on skin..and refreshing too..you do not have dry stretchy skin after washing..as with other face washes..its very mild..and also gently exfoliates at the same time…and completely natural !

Yardley London has recently launched their very famous face washes in India..

It comes in two variants..Gentle Cleansing (Refreshing Facial Cleanser) and Deep Cleansing(Luxurious Facial Foam)..each further comes in two forms..English Lavender and English Rose.

I am not very fond of Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Washes as they make my skin feel dry and stretchy…and gel based face washes suit my skin perfectly.

This English Lavender Gentle Refreshing Facial Cleanser is quite my types..and Lavender is my favorite scents too.

Its a light violet transparent gel based face wash..only a small amount is required for the whole face..I love the transparent violet tube too and the cap is sturdy enough..neither does excess face wash ooze out and it snaps and closes tight too.

I love the light lavender soothing smell..its very gentle as claimed..and skin never felt dry or stretchy after using this..though it does not foam too much..but decently well..and cleanses well too.

Pros:

1. Love the transparent violet packaging..the cap is sturdy and it is travel friendly.
2. I quite like the soothing lavender smell.
3. Its quite gentle and does not strip the face of oils or make it feel dry and stretchy.
4. You need just a little amount.
5. Comes in the Deep Cleansing Foam form too if you prefer cream based foaming face washes…and in English Rose scent if you like that.
6. Economically priced.

Cons:

1. Has SLS.
2. Would not remove your make up..this is a gentle cleanser..so do not expect that.

No other cons..Overall I like this…love the Lavender smell and it is gentle enough to be used everyday..surely recommended if you like Lavender scent..I love Yardley English Lavender Deo and Soap too 😀

Its a white colored thick lotion..but not too thick..easy to massage over the skin..has a soapnut smell to it. It does remove your daily dirt and grime and cleanses well..as far as makeup is concerned it removes most of it..but not the waterproof makeup completely.

Pros:

1. Decently priced.
2. Removes most of the makeup well.
3. Easily available.
4. The small bottle is easy to carry around.
5. If you want a normal everyday cleanser this would be the best bet.
6. Does not dry out the skin.

Cons:

1. You need to massage it into the skin in circular motions and wait for a few minutes. Don’t expect taking it in cotton swab and removing immediately. It does take a little time.
2. I have heard it stings eyes for a few..though I did not face it..but one has to be careful while using it for removing eye makeup.
3. Has parabens.

Overall its a decent everyday cleanser..an ok product..not something I can’t live without..but would do..

Turmeric & Lemon Cleansing Milk

What the Company claims: This unique cleansing milk is ideal for deep cleansing and removing make-up. The astringent property of lemon lifts impurities from the skin. Turmeric works as an antiseptic, maintains moisture level and preserves elasticity of skin. The lemon peel extract draws out younger skin.

Directions for use: Apply all over face and neck with circular movements. Wipe off with either damp cotton or wash off with water.

Its a normal pump bottle with a cap like all other Lotus Products mostly. Its creamy in texture and yellow in color…has a strong turmeric and lemon smell…but bearable enough.
I use it as directed and it works well for me…removes all dirt and make up including most of water proof mascara too…I also liked the fact that it did not sting my eyes. It claims to be for normal to dry skin..but worked well for my combination skin too.

Pros:

1. I like the fuss free pump packaging.
2. It removes mostly all the make up including most of the water proof mascara..in 2-3 swipes.
3. I like the fact that it has turmeric and lemon as turmeric is antiseptic and healing and lemon tones the skin.
4. It does not feel too greasy or anything..I use it exactly as directed.
5. Skin feels quite supple and normal after use.
6. It did not sting my eyes like some other cleansing lotions.
7. Works for all skin types.
8. It also has wheatgerm oil,almond oil,orange oil,glycerin,beeswax, and other ingredients beneficial for the skin.

Cons:

1. Some people may not like the smell…I am ok with it.
2. Has parabens.

Overall I quite liked it…and I think its a must try..

Jergens All Purpose Face Cream Review

Jergens has very good skin care range..their creams, body lotions are all very good and have rave reviews everywhere..I have tried the all purpose face cream and gonna try the body lotions next.

This is a thick light pink colored cream..with a texture like cold creams.

What the Company claims : Deep cleans your skin to remove makeup and dirt and provides a radiant, dewy base for makeup. Also softens and moisturises to help smooth skin and fight dryness.

Directions for use: Smooth generously over your face and throat. Remove with a tissue or leave on overnight.

MRP: Rs.220 for 425g

Ingredients : Mineral Oil, Water, Beeswax, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Sodium Borate, Fragrance, Isopropyl Myristate, Dmdm Hydantoin , Red 4

I got it from Alfa in Mumbai..you can try to find it any place which sell in wholesale or at chemists..

Pros:

1. It is the best cleanser I have ever used. And I have tried Lakme, Himalaya. Garnier, etc. It removes even the toughest of waterproof mascara. I just apply a layer of it n leave on for 5 mins and wipe the whole thing off. Its my HG cleanser.
2. It does not sting eyes at all. I have used it on lower lashline and even near the waterline.
3. It moisturises skin well and skin never feels dry even after using a face wash after this.
4. I use it for my dry elbows and knees or as a hand cream or foot cream too. It is very multi purpose.
5. Economical and cost effective. I got this hugee tub at 220/- which would stay for min 2 yrs.
6. No parabens or phenoxyethanol.
7. Boon for people with dry skin.
8. Has a nice smell.
9. Can also be used as a night cream.
10.Never broke me out.

Cons:

1. Comes in a tub so you have to dip your fingers in.
2. Oily to combination skin cannot use it on face…I do use it sometimes and especially in this chilly winters where skin is a bit dry.
3. One has to wait 2-3 mins for it to get absorbed completely.

Overall rating- 4/5

Would I buy it again- Yes yes..its my HG cleanser.. I would always buy it..this is going to last me 2 more years though..
