OOTD: Blue & Black Mesh Polka Maxi Dress

But I have thought of sharing outfits of which I do elaborate shoots of or the outfits which are really pretty and absolutely deserve more pics and an entire blog post, here.

I got this blue and black maxi dress from eShakti in December, I know it’s been quite some time. I had gone for a holiday and came back with a fracture and was on bed rest entire month. It took me quite some time to be completely ok and then couldn’t get around shooting, hence the delay. I am really sorry for that.

Coming to eShakti, I got an email from them and I checked their website and I was absolutely in awe! I had no idea of an Indian website having such beautiful customized clothing at such an affordable price. eShakti primarily catered to US and towards the end of last year, they started the India operations.

They have tops, skirts, dresses, everything from casual to party wear and on trend clothes for women. And the best part is you can customize neck, sleeves, length, measurements, everything! So it is Your Size. Your Style

If you like a print in maxi dress, you can get the same in a shift dress, midi dress, skater dress, with sleeves, you can customize everything. And the best part is they have rates ranging from 1000 to 3000-4000, which is fabulous for a fully customized outfit. And mind you, at 3-4k, you get a beautiful cocktail gown!

I had to struggle a lot to find a nice, simple gown for my cocktail function, because in all the shops I got the diamond work gowns which I hate. They didn’t have anything simple or as per my liking, everything was too blingy for my taste. I finally went a black lace maxi dress from StalkBuyLove, which was too long and I had to alter the height of it.

If eShakti was retailing then and I would have come across this, I would have most definitely bought a gown from here. Perhaps this one only 🙂

I loved this peacock blue and black maxi dress. It has a silk base and a complete mest net coverage from the top, sleeves to bottom, with black polka dots ( in thread embroidery) throughout the dress. It has a zip behind and the entire outfit material from the cloth to the zip and buttons is amazing quality, no complaints whatsoever!

It also has pockets! My favourite part in a dress 🙂

OOTD: Denim Blue Off Shoulder Crop Top, Floral Pencil Skirt

OOTD time! The moment I saw this crop top in the Stalkbuylove’s Stalker magazine early last month in the New Arrivals, I knew I had to get this! It is off shoulder, which is a trend quite IN this spring/summer. Also the denim blue colour would compliment a lot of different bottoms from black to bright colors to floral like I have paired it with today. Crop tops are absolutely fabulous with anything high waist like high waisted denims/skirts/culottes.

I have paired crop tops with culottes, palazzos and lace mini skirt earlier. And yes with pencil skirts too, see HERE and HERE. And of course, when they come with it’s own set i.e. co-ordinates/matching separates makes it all the more better coz you can not only wear them as coords but also separately with basics.

I have paired this Chester crop top with a black floral skirt. I had this skirt since quite some time (shown in this HAUL video), when I saw this crop top, I knew I would be pairing it with this skirt 😀 Yes, I mentally put together my outfits all the time 😉

Also I love bucket bags, if you know I already have the big orange one from StalkBuyLove which I love using. And I also like backpacks, so when I saw this tan backpack which is like a bucket bag i.e. 2 in 1, I immediately added it to the cart!

Tip: Tan/Neutral bags and shoes will always work with everything, so if you like something in tan, don’t think twice and just get it, you will be surely using that a lot.

I completed the look with my Daniel Wellington watch and these black Forever 21 mules. Now I know mules don’t have a strap behind usually, but this one does. Had got them during sale, again had showed these in the above linked haul video.

OOTD: Powder Blue Jumpsuit

Hi guys,

So I had this powder blue ‘Flying Kisses’ Jumpsuit from StalkBuyLove since a long time, but never got a chance to wear it, finally I wore this to the Oppo F1 Plus Launch event in Delhi.

We were staying at The Lalit and we clicked the pics there. Magali helped me with the pics.

To start with, I love the powder blue colour of this jumpsuit, and it’s perfect for this Spring/Summer. I paired the jumpsuit with my Steve Madden clogs and a deep navy blue Michael Kors sling.

OOTD/Lookbook: 3 Casual Outfits

These are the outfits I wore recently for the events I attended, I have also done a lookbook video 🙂

Outfit 1:

I have seen this long maxi slit tops a lot in the past few months, I never found them in Forever 21 and there was on StalkBuyLove which was almost OOS every time. Finally I found this blue and purple ombre slit top and it is just perfect, except for the length for me if I wear it with flats. I absolutely love the fit, comfort, color, fabric, everything about this top and if you are looking for a long maxi slit top, Stalkbuylove has quite a few options now.

Outfit 2:

A shirt dress again, this time it’s beige, white and black color blocked shirt dress. What I like about this dress is that it can even be worn as a cape. The belt defines the waist and I paired it with the same bag and shoes, but with my Michael Kors watch. I wore this for the Woods new Collection showcase.

Outfit 3:

This is my favourite, bright yellow A-line dress. I absolutely love the lower print, it is quite bright and a statement in itself. I paired it with the same nude sling and my Daniel Wellington watch. I went for strappy block heels since it is more dressy. I was going to wear it for The Body Shop gift wrapping workshop event but I had to run errands that day and this dress is slightly tighter and was not the most comfortable, so I had to change. The only problem is the fit, even though I ordered it as per the size mentioned, it is tight for me. If you plan to buy this, go for a size up.

OOTD: Black Striped Shirt Dress, Silver Loafers

I wore this to the LYN #ShadesOfGrey launch on Tuesday at the Taj Mahal Tea House in Bandra. I love stripes and shirt dresses are my current favourite.

This was the perfect combination of both, while I loved the same dress in white which was anyday more smart but white being see through, I had to go for black. Only problem with shirt dresses I always face is if I go for a bigger size so that the buttons sit properly at the bust, it’s quite loose overall and if I go a size smaller and it’s perfect overall, it always stays a bit open at the bust :/ Sigh. I know a double tape can solve that problem but with this dress, it was just not staying stuck! Also it comes with the matching cloth belt which can help you give the straight fit dress some definition. Sadly the dress is a bit short when you sit, taller girls can wear it like a shirt, I will add leggings the next time.

Anyhoo, coming to this gorgeous silver loafers which I absolutely love but totally hate coz they gave me my life’s worst shoe bites ever! I was in terrible pain and couldn’t even walk, just when my leg got twisted and my right operated leg got a jerk 🙁 It was paining terribly for an hour and then while walking and climbing stairs. The pain is less in the mornings but by night it increases, I hope it heals soon!

So I paired this black shirt dress with silver loafers and this nude Accessorize clutch, it has metallic gold accents which I love! The theme was grey and I had worn a casual grey t-shirt dress before coz that was the only grey I had, but thankfully this dress arrived at the last moment coz I was at my mom’s place, this dress was a saviour!

OOTD: I Am Back 🙂

Hey guys,

I am back, up and going now. I can do all the basic stuff and would be going back to my place with hubby 🙂 Only I cannot walk fast or climb steps quickly as of now. Also I am not supposed to wear heels for 2-3 more months. So I am buying lots of flats, reasons to shop 😉 And back with a new outfit post. A monochrome and androgynous outfit but with a twist, the twist is the blouse has cute bow cut offs on the sleeves.

The trousers were quite loose for me, but I did not bother exchanging them as they were very comfortable! Though I would get a few alterations done to it.

I paired this monochrome outfit with my new metallic gold Vans with tassels on the sides ! Say hello to my new Vans!

I know the pics are not very clear..I just discovered yesterday that my new DSLR lens was also dashed from the front and the zoom got stuck, as we were carrying it with us on the day of the accident. I have given it for repair at the service center, I hope it starts working properly again 🙁

OOTD: Polka Dots Bandage Crop Top, Daniel Wellington Watch

Hey guys,

Back with a crop top OOTD. Remember my leopard print one HERE. This is my second crop top.(One more pineapple print is on its way :p) You know how much I love polka dots and stripes!

I had also shared some tips on how to wear a crop top in my previous post. Crop tops are skirt’s best friend, be it midi or normal pencil.

I paired this white bandage polka dots crop top (bandage gives a nice peek a boo effect and hardly shows skin) with a basic black pencil skirt.

A candy orange sling was the perfect bright accessory to break the monochrome. My Classic St. Andrews Lady Daniel Wellington stacked up with a spiked and pearl bracelet completed the look.

My new shoes! How I love them <3 Black suede block heels with metallic gold ankle strap went well with the outfit. I wore them to Lakme Fashion Week and everyone complimented the shoes and asked where are they from :p They are so versatile and match with everything. Plus super comfy.
