MUA “Pistachio Ice Cream” Nail Varnish Review, NOTD By Magali I spent the better part of 2013 looking for a perfect mint nail polish & I’m happy to say I finally found it!
Ingredients:
MUA Pistachio Ice Cream is a pigmented, milky mint creme. All you need is two coats to get a perfectly opaque finish. It comes in a mini bottle of 6.2ml for £1. Interestingly enough, it’s also a near-perfect dupe for Essie’s cult favorite “Mint Candy Apple” at a fraction of the cost.
The only downside to the polish is the brush- the bristles are thick & cause a lot of streaking, it’s hard to get a nice finish. So you end up having to put thicker coats. With my Rimmel top coat it lasts around two days before I have any chips. Whether you’re using Acetone or a Nail Polish remover, this polish comes off easily. If you’re looking for a mint polish at a very reasonable cost, I’d definitely recommend this one. You can buy it online at http://www.muastore.co.uk/ Editor’s Note: I loveed the clicks Mag ! And love the mint color too..looks so chic on you.. Have you tried the MUA Pistachio Ice Cream Nail Varnish ?

MRP: Rs. 375/- for 4g
It comes in a normal round packaging with a transparent plastic lid..no mirror or applicator. Its a huge pan compared to other eyeshadows….4g is a huge qty..I think by far the biggest eyeshadow I have in my stash.
I got the shade 107 Burnt Bark coz its supposed to be MAC Satin Taupe Dupe 😀 I love taupes..and this is one amazing satin finish taupe..perfect shade for everyday neutral eyes…and almost 95% close to MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow.
It stays for 5-6 hours and longer with a primer..and is super smooth in texture..and has no fall outs..this swatch is just one swipe.
Pros:
1. Super huge qty..4g 2. Comes in 13 shades and different finishes..from matte to pearl. 3. Dupe of MAC Satin Taupe. 4. Economical. 5. Well pigmented. 6. Stays for 5-6 hours and longer with a primer.
Cons:
1. Plastic packaging is kinda ok. 2. Not easily available.
Overall I love this color..coz I get a MAC dupe which is equally good with more the qty at 1/3rd the price..I know Inglot has dupes..but that would be a separate refill and this has more qty too..and also Inglot Pearl 402 which is supposed to be a MAC Satin Taupe dupe does not have that purple undertones which Satin Taupe and Burnt Bark have. This one is much more closer..Highly recommend !

Sinful Orange is a new addition in Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Colors..
Its a short chubby pencil with the matching shade color at the ends..it comes with its own sharpener..It is not like normal lip pencils..which are usually drier..this is more of a lipstick in pencil form..remember the Inglot AMC Lip Pencil..see HERE..those are matte and dry..this is creamy.
These Take Me As I am Lip Color Pencils are just like your moisturising lipsticks..they apply with ease..and are very comfy on lips without any dryness or heaviness..they give a glossy finish..which fades away after some time..but the color stays..it stays for a good 5-6 hours..and leaves behind a stain..
Sinful Orange is a bright yellow based orange…its a true sindoori orange..I cannot carry it fully opaque..I did try HERE, it ended up looking way too bright :/ I feel its quite similar to MAC Morange..and fairer and duskier girls..both extremes would rock this shade..I prefer a single swipe or layering/combining it with other shades..
Here is it on me..a single swipe..
Pros:
1. Moisturising and there is no dryness or heaviness. 2. Stay for a good 5-6 hours. 3. These pencils have a cute packaging and easy to carry along for touch ups too. 4. Comes with their own sharpener. 5. There are 9 shades available but there is something for everyone..an orange based red, a nude pink, peachy pink, pale pink, wine ,berry, nude brown, etc.. 6. Matching ends to identify the shade in case you have more than one..
Cons:
1. Expensive ! 2. Would finish off soon..since it needs to be sharpened and causes wastage too.
Check out the review and swatches of Flirtatious PinkHEREand check out all the swatches HERE
Overall I quite like these Take Me As I Am Lip Colors..a product which works both as a liner and lipstick and stays so well and is moisturising and can be carried along anywhere for touch ups..only this shade Sinful Orange is something I prefer wearing as a stain or combined..I think its a dupe of MAC Morange lipstick..

MAC describes Romp as ‘Chocolate laced with gold’. Its a frost finish..it is discontinued now..
MRP: Rs.720/- for refill, Rs.900/- for single pan
I would say its a medium dark golden brown…and love using it on lids..since it has shimmer, I do not like it on crease…a little deeper matte brown in crease with this on lid looks nice..
It applies smoothly, evenly and goes well with oranges and other deeper brown shades..it makes a nice lid color..
Highly pigmented, smooth textured and blends well.
This shade is quite easy to work with..even for a newbie..and pairs well with Indian wear too.
L: Sunlight R: Indoors
Pros:
1. Highly pigmented. 2. Easy to work with. 3. Blends well. 4. A nice neutral golden brown and works well for all skin tones. 5. Makes a good lid color. 6. Goes well with Indian wear. 7. Satin smooth texture. 8. Stays well for 6-7 hours even without a base.
Cons:
1. Expensive as all MAC is. 2. Discontinued now.
No other cons as such..I love the shade, texture, pigmentation, staying power..and it is one neutral shadow that would look good on all skin tones..and work with Indian wear too. Highly recommended. This also is my first MAC eyeshadow 🙂
Since it is discontinued now, you can check out Tempting which is quite quite similar but is Lustre Finish.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick Fuchsia Review, Swatches – MAC Girl About Town Dupe ? Ok..now this has a story behind it..I am always into more of neutrals..and get scared with bright shades..but from the time I saw this super HOT pink on Bruna Abdullah in the song Tu Mera Hero from Desi Boys..I wanted this shade !!
The one Bruna wore looked like MAC Girl About Town to me..I searched for all Fuchsias and Hot Pinks..would share all the shades I liked out of those I found,in a separate post later..
After comparing the shades online and checking some reviews, I found Revlon Colorburst Fuchsia is indeed super close to Girl About Town..though Girl About Town is a little more deeper and Revlon Fuchsia is a little more cool toned…but they are quite similar..
1 swipe, 2 swipes
Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks come in a black criss cross pattern packaging with the shade color at the top..they are quite smooth and glide on easily..this bright shade is super pigmented..and in one swipe you get enough color..in two it comes out fully..stays for around 4-5 hours without eating or drinking..feels quite light on the lips..
Revlon Colorburst Fuchsia is a cool toned bright pink shade..it looks amazing both as a stain and full blown..this shade would look great on all skin tones..I have seen dusky girls rock bright shades more..
I love how this shade brightens up the whole face..Also seen HERE
Check out the shade Peach and the complete review for Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks HERE
MRP: Rs.610/- for 3.7g
Now these were priced at 550 when they were launched..then they raised it to 580 and now 610 for the new and hot selling shades..I don’t think they should keep on increasing the prices like that :/
Some shades are available at Rs.499/- on Flipkart..check them HERE
Overall I love this shade ! And surely recommend it..if you love bright pinks, you are going to love this..did I get the shade similar to Bruna..I am not sure..her seems more bright coz of the camera and all..but but I am loving this..and have no regrets..all girls should have a hot pink in their stash 😉
So when I did the Maybelline Dream Range preview, most of you wanted the review of the concealer first..so here it goes..
What the Company claims: The NEW Dream Lumi Touch is the first gel-based concealer from Maybelline New York. It illuminates while it conceals, delivering a natural result. Eyes are instantly brighter, awakened, and more alive! The new Dream Lumi Touch diffuses light as it conceals because of the diffusing power of concealing pigments blended with illuminating gel base. It covers any imperfections or dark circles letting you experience touch-and-go illumination like never before. The Lumi Touch Concealer comes in a revolutionary pen format for easy application on the go!
Available in 6 shades:
Ivory
Radiant
Nude
Buff
Beige
Honey
Dream Lumi Touch Concealer- Rs. 475 for 1.5ml
Application Tips:
Ingredients:
I have the shade Ivory which is obviously light for me..I guess Buff would be a good match for me..but as far as the reviews I have read most of the pale girls also find Nude and Ivory light which is kinda weird..
The twist pen packaging is super easy to use..and the product does come out easily unlike the click one Lakme Absolute Lip Last which many face a problem with..though the first time you need 10-15 twists but then second time onwards it works fine..this is such a travel friendly packaging and perfect for touch ups..
Its a runny liquid and once you apply it, it needs to be blended fast and well..it does give some whitish cast coz its a lighter shade..I am yet to check Buff though..but this does offer good enough concealing..its perfect for those medium dark circles..and the illuminating is visible but not so much that it cannot be used anywhere else on the face..I mean it does not shine through..and it can be used anywhere for spot concealing safely..
Pros:
1. Perfect for concealing medium dark circles and few spots here and there. 2. Click pen packaging is easy to work with. 3. Travel friendly. 4. It does illuminate and lifts up the eyes. 5. Economical. 6. 6 shades to choose from. 7. Stays for around 5 hours..and then starts fading a little but does stay for 7-8 hours in an AC environment. 8. Does not crease or feel dry.
Cons:
1. I am not sure how long 1.5 ml would last. 2. Not easily available everywhere yet. 3. People who prefer thick concealers and have heavy dark circles may not like it.
Overall I think this is perfect..and a must buy..I have not checked out YSL Touche Eclat yet but I have seen many girls compare Maybelline Dream Lumi to yet..so yes to an for an affordable version of YSL !!

Have you tried the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer yet ?
When I had reviewed the Inglot AMCLip Pencil here..many of you liked the shade..but found it to be a little expensive at Rs. 680/-
And this shade surely reminded me of a similar shade I had in my stash..and I checked all my lippies and compared..And it did !
And the dupe for Inglot Matte AMC Lip Pencil 23 is our very own Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Naked Pink !! Which is quite famous amongst us bloggers and I guess most of us have Naked Pink or Bare or both 😉
Though the formula is quite different as the Inglot Lip Pencils are totally matte..but the shade is a little similar..the Inglot 23 is a little cooler and the Naked Pink is a little warmer…but still they are quite comparable..see for yourself..
T- Naked Pink B- Inglot 23
I would surely suggest checking out Naked Pink if you still have’nt..its a pretty mauvey earthy pink..and a MLBB shade for dusky skin tones..
