My Envy Box June Review, Indian Beauty Blog

This time I got a nice lilac color box. (A break from pinks and peaches). I got the multi color pouch this time which was missing last month. Let’s see the contents inside..

What I got :

  • Innisfree Eco Nail Color Pro (Shade no.15)– Full sized 7ml bottle- Rs.300/-
  • Nina Ricci La Tentation De Nina Perfume –1.5ml vial worth Rs.144/- (Rs. 4800/- for 50ml)
  • Skinyoga Coconut Sea Salt Foot Scrub– 50g worth Rs.165/- (O.P- Rs.495/- for 150gms)
  • Kronokare Provencal Lavender Body Lotion– 35ml worth Rs.55/- (O.P- Rs. 345/- for 220 ml)
  • Thalgo Freshness Exfoliator– 5ml worth Rs.177/- (O.P- Rs. 1770/- for 50ml)

Total worth of the box comes to Rs.841/– plus you get the colorful pouch, the super sturdy lilac box (which is good for storage) and discount cards to buy the full sized products, and the shipping cost, and the price of the box being Rs.850/-, you can see how a total value for money it is ! (If the value of the Innisfree nail paint is Rs.300/- coz on few sites, I see it at Rs.200/-. Not really sure of that.) (Confirmed that there are two ranges..and this Eco Pro one is worth Rs.300/-)

Also many of you might not be very interested in these small luxury samples or do not consider it of much value, but I say if the samples are decent sized, then its better, that one gets to try it out and see if it works for them, and then spend that huge amount ! Same goes for perfumes..these 1.5 ml small vials are always helpful to judge whether you like a particular note or not.

I do think they should do away with Thalgo now..too much of Thalgo happening..and its always small 3ml or 5ml tubes which are hardly good for 1-2 uses. I like that there is second SkinYoga here and a good sized sample. And a new natural brand Kronokare included too which is also a good 35ml bottle, though can’t claim it to be a luxury brand. Nina Ricci La Tentation De Nina is a good qty small travel friendly vial..much much better than those sachet packs which are a pain to use.

And the full sized Innisfree nail paint is the best thing in the box..this time’s box is one of my favorites considering the value for money part. After the March box which had a Forest Essentials full sized lip balm.

Also, they give back 25% (INR 213 for a 1 month subscription) as ENVY points to use when buying full size products.  The 10% discount is valid on almost all products on the website for subscribers.

Overall, I do like it..better than the previous boxes where we only got tiny sized 2-3 samples and perfume sachets. I hope they continue to include one makeup item and one full sized product in the future boxes.

Guest Post by Sophia

When you’re choosing an outfit, you think about choosing the right shoes, jewellery or handbag but even more so lately having the right nail polish colour is essential! Now I have a number of different nail polishes from a variety of brands, but there are still some which I have yet to add to my collection and up until recently it was Essie nail polish.

Fiji, Mint Candy Apple

I picked up ‘Mint Candy Apple’(I’m just crazy about mint colours) and ‘Fiji’(for a more neutral tone).  ‘Mint Candy Apple’ is a fresh, mint green with a slight bluish hue. It is a little reminiscent of candy in some ways because of its pastel shade so the name is quite fitting. ‘Fiji’ is a very pale pink, verging on white which although looks simple it elongates the nails, making the hand slimmer and longer.

First of all I really like the packaging! I love the neat cube like bottles, with Essie embossed on 2 opposite sides of glass. It’s has a delicate ‘e’ groove on top of the lid too.

The nail lacquer is of a medium consistency, not too thick and not too runny which is ideal in my opinion! The application is really smooth and the brush is wide enough to cover the surface area of the nail in a few strokes. The colour is quite sheer after the first coat, but a second coat really finishes it off and by then it’s perfectly opaque. The polish is quite long lasting and I found it stayed put on my nails for at least a week before I noticed any signs of chipping.

Essie nail polish is slightly pricier than drugstore favourites such as Rimmel or Barry M, at around £7.99 but I certainly think they’re worth the money! There’s a gorgeous selection of colours to choose from, bold shades, pastels, glitters and more – it’s hard not to buy them all!
