Hope you all are doing good and gorgeous as always. It’s been a while for me with reviews, caught up with some personal issues. But now I am all ready to bring on all the reviews and products to you lovely ladies .So today’s review is of eyeliner from Rimmel London called Exaggerate Waterproof Eye definer.

Shade 26 Noir (Black). This is my to go eyeliner be it for a Smokey look , regular kajal or eyeliner. So let’s move ahead and find out how this product worked for me.

Soft creamy texture in a retractable pencil with built-in smudger for subtle blending and sharpener for high precision line.
Waterproof formula for up to 10 hours long lasting wear.
Choose your shade from creamy matte to high metallic, all so intensely pigmented.

Packaging and Texture

I love the packaging of this product .It is a retractable pencil that has a smudger & sharpener on the other end of the pencil. Lightweight can be easily carried in your purse. The cap fits well tightly over the product and the smduger, hence maintaining the product from harsh temperatures and dust particles.

The shade is intense black and the product is soft creamy on application and glides smoothly over the eyelids and waterline.

Cost: Approximately INR 320 [1.500 KWD] for 0.28g

Usage : 30 months after opening

My take on RIMMEL LONDON Exaggerate Waterproof Eye definer:

I’m extremely satisfied with this eyeliner in regards for a daily wear purpose .It glides on smoothly onto to your eyelids and water line without much effort. Multiple swipes are required to attain the intensity of the product. Over the eyelids it finishes to a matte product. It did not irritate my sensitive eyes at all.

I’m a little disappointed in regards to waterproof claim of the product, if you have oily lids it will definitely smudge over your crease line , so it’s best to well prime or rather powder your eye lids to counteract your oily eyelids and avoid further smudging. It did stay put over the waterline through out.

The product can easily come off with an eye makeup remover without damaging you eyelashes. The smudger provided is soft enough to smudge the product over the eyelid (upper and lower) and to achieve a basic smokey look in seconds. I haven’t used the sharpner as yet. Do not retract the product too much as it might break hence waste of product

With this product you can achieve desired lines of thickness. I don’t think it’s is ideal for winged eyeliner since its difficult to achieve neat defined with this eyeliner, probably with the help of an angular brush you can achieve .I love to use it over the waterline as it remains intact for about 3-4 hours.

  • No eye irritation (can be used along with contact lenses)
  • Travel friendly
  • Has smudger and sharpener as well
  • Well pigmented.
  • Products last a long way

Cons:

  • Can smudge a little over oily eyelids
  • Availability
  • Not ideal for a winged eyeliner.

Would I recommend RIMMEL LONDON Exaggerate Waterproof Eye definer? Yes!!! For the quality of the product and for provision of a smudger and sharper, it’s worth the buy.

When any of the international clothing or makeup brand gets launched in India, it becomes a gala time for all of us makeup and fashion lovers. So, you can imagine the level of excitement when Sephora launched it’s first store in Delhi. I heard someone referring that it was like a “Sabzi Mandi” for makeup enthusiasts. Yes, the crowd was crazy and the excitement knew no bounds. I was also very thrilled by the opening of Sephora but I anyhow controlled myself and decided to check the place some days later or may be some weeks later. So, after 2 weeks I visited the place and I couldn’t stop myself. It was really fun to see brands like NYX, Burt Bees and many more there. I was really tempted for some of them but 1 product out of the entire lot there was really special for me. I couldn’t wait to lay my hands on the Sephora eye pencils. I have heard a lot of praises about them and I was dying to try them. So, I bought the and here follows the review of the same.

Product Claims : A Contouring eye pencil for a big, beautiful look that lasts up to 12 hours. Enhance and enliven your eyes with bold, long – wearing color of these eye pencils. The silky formula is resistant to water, heat and humidity up to 12 hours of smudge less wear.

Price : Rs. 890

My Experience:

Packaging wise most of the Kajal pencils are just same. They come in pencil shape which is really sleek and slim. It has black body with the electric blue cap at the top. There are some details enclosed on the body of the pencil which I really appreciate. The pencil can be easily fit inside your pocket and thus extremely travel friendly. You need to sharpen the pencil every now and then which of course leads to product wastage.

Coming to the formula of this Kajal is has a very smooth tip. It glides on the eyes also very easily and smoothly. It is very soft on eyes and even sensitive eyes would not feel any irritation. I wear lens on regular basis but I didn’t feel nay irritation or burning sensation in my eyes. It is extremely comfortable.

Coming to the shade which is aptly named as “My Boyfriend’s Jeans Electric Blue” of this Kajal and it is true to it’s name. It is more of a neon blue which is a fun and peppy shade. It is a perfect summer shade and will add glamour and style to your look and entire personality. It is bright and thus is a perfect day time color. But if you want to wear it in night then it will look Fab with monochrome or black outfits.

I apply this eyeliner on both of my upper and lower lash lines. I begin by sharpening the kajal at the tip and then apply it both the upper and lower or water line. After applying it, I let it set for about 5 minutes or so and then I am good to go.

Coming to the staying power of this Kajal is stays on me entire day long. I apply it in the morning at around 9 A.M. and till 7 P.M. it is very much visible and intact. The Kajal does not smudge or fades on the upper line.

But the story is entirely different on the lower lash line. It smudges on the sides and even fades a bit. So, I stick to applying the Kajal only on the upper line at present.

This requires the use of a high-quality cosmetic pencil sharpener to sharpen properly. Using poor quality sharpeners or stationery pencil sharpeners will damage the tip and the pencil.

Plum is always free of parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, SLS, DEA and PABA

It is recommended to buy with a dual sharpener they stock which is priced at Rs.125/- They also have Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal which is priced the same but meant for very sensitive eyes, so those who have super sensitive eyes should go for the latter.

The sharpener is also purple but has neon green cap which is hygienic and safe from dust, etc. It sharpens the kajal perfectly and can also be used for other eye pencils and lip crayons.

It comes in this purple and black packaging and in sharpenable form. It is super jet black, very pigmented and gives a good colour in one swipe, it does smudge if you smudge it immediately but within 1-2 minutes it sets and doesn’t budge at all.

It is waterproof and requires a very good makeup remover to take it off completely. I have used it on my upper lash line here, it stays for about 8-9 hours on my upper lash line and even longer, it just fades a bit post that but still does not smudge untill I take it off with a makeup remover.

Here I have used it on the waterline, it does smudge a bit on the waterline but stays intense for 4-5 hours after which it fades a bit but doesn’t go away completely which is amazing for my super watery eyes, coz no kajal stays more than 2-3 hours before fading on my waterline.

I have loved the Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate the most and found it the most water proof, long staying and smudge resistant amongst all kajals in the market, I would give this the 2nd place coz it comes super close in many aspects but price wise, this definitely is a winner. Also both are manufactured by Schwan-Stabilo Cosmetics in Germany which makes the best eye pencils. Even Kryolan Ikonic and Sugar Cosmetics Kajal are manufactured by the same company, I believe even Faces Cosmetics Eye Pencils.

At 425, it is very economical and you can sharpen and use it many times. I don’t prefer wearing it on upper lash line often as it gives a thicker line and gets blunt and round when used even once on the upper lash line but for waterline, it is perfect and can be used a couple of times before sharpening. Sharpening does lead to wastage as in all sharpenable pencils but is good for hygienic reasons. Also I do agree on it having more quantity than twist up kajals as they are mostly 0.31g, but here some product also goes waste in sharpening, still you get more qty than twist up ones.

Overall I would say, it is one of the best kajals in India currently and I highly recommend trying this out. If no kajal stays long on you and you have watery eyes like me, this will. I only wish the sharpener came along with the kajal and one wouldn’t have to buy it separately shelling 125 bucks extra.

This time its a bright coral box, I love the color <3 I like the revised packaging since April where there is only one card with all the product details and not 5 different cards. This month’s box has two full sized products!

I am in love with every product this time which is a part of the box, there have always been 1-2 products in My Envy Box every month which have been my favourites, but I like all the 5 products the first time :p

A full sized Catrice Eye Pencil, I love smokey eye pencils which are perfect for those 2 minute makeup days. I am quite excited to try this and might review this soon 🙂

I am currently using the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil and Beautifying Cream. Though the original bottle is not that big to carry, but these 3ml vials are perfect for travel. I am loving the oil and these vials are definitely coming along with me, on my next trip 😀

Hedonista Chocolate Face Souffle is a chocolate and clay based mask, now who doesn’t love chocolate. Never tried this brand but the packaging and the mask look super yummy and nice.

Estee Lauder Pleasures is a classic, and I absolutely love its smell.

And lastly the Natio Meditate Pink Lotus Hand Cream which smells divine and works pretty well as a hand cream <3
