Jan 2017 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I know I am a little late this time in the unboxing of Fab Bag. I am at my parents’ place and the Fab Bag gets delivered at my place and from there I got it here today.

The theme this month is ‘Bring It On’. The bag is a bright pink clutch, it’s nice to travel along with and it fits many things in.

Products I got:

  • Sugar Cosmetics Matte As Hell Lip Crayon in Mary Poppins (Full size- Rs.799/-)
  • O3+ Derma Fresh Mask – 50g (Full size- Rs.425/-)
  • MCaffeine Neem Caffeine Face wash (50ml) – Full size Rs.449/- for 150ml
  • The Nature’s Co. Fucus Anti-Ageing Cream (20ml)- Full size Rs.895/- for 50ml
  • Wella EIMI Perfect Me BB Lotion (6ml)- Full size Rs.900/- for 100ml

I had an option to choose one makeup product and Sugar Matte Lip Crayons were also a part of those options. I was confused between Mary Poppins and Rose Dawson and didn’t have both, but finally went with Mary Poppins as I have many nudes and this is a very unique bright pink.

Also liking the full size face mask, would be trying it out right now. Rest three products are deluxe sized samples. The face wash looks decent, not very happy with the anti-ageing cream, I would have liked a scrub or day/night cream.

I have the full size bottle of the Wella Perfect Me BB Lotion and it’s really good! The 6ml sachet should be worth Rs.54/- but the sachet mentions Rs.150/- which is more than 3 times the value.

Overall the value of all the products comes to around Rs. 1790/- I am happy with the lipstick and face mask. I love the Wella BB Lotion and would be carrying this sachet the next time I travel. I am not sure about the face wash and anti-ageing cream but I don’t mind trying those.

Also got a special discount coupon from Housejoy, INR 500 off on beauty services worth INR 999 and above.

The bag is pretty decent, not bad. Definitely worth buying.

December 2016 Fab Bag Unboxing

I love this silver black holographic kind pouch, it’s pretty.

Products I got:

  • Iba Halal Foot Massage Cream (Full size- Rs.95/- for 50g)
  • Natural Bath & Body Hair Mist (50ml – Rs.525/- for 100ml)
  • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil Roll On (15ml – Rs.460/- for 60ml)
  • City Color Be Matte Lipstick Lana- (Full size- Rs.500/-)

I quite liked the City Color Be Matte Lipstick last month, so this month too when I was given an option I chose the same lipstick in a different shade. This time I chose a red called ‘Lana‘. It’s a beautiful cool toned red. I love the formula of these City Color Be Matte Lipsticks, very similar to the Sugar Cosmetics It’s A Pout Time formula.

I have tried Iba Halal moisturizer before and it was pretty decent, so looking forward to try this foot massage cream. Perfect time to try the foot cream.

I love Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula products and do have this oil. I like this roll on packaging more, very handy and convenient.

And last but not the least, is the Natural Bath & Body Hair Mist. Smells really good, but I am not sure if the smell would stay through the day. Again a travel friendly bottle.

Total value of the products comes to round Rs.1000. Overall, I would say it’s an Ok bag. Not a must have, but if you would like to try these products including one makeup product of your choice, then you can give it a go.

November 2016 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

I got the November Fab Bag yesterday late night, so I unboxed it today.

This month’s theme is ‘Ready Set Glow’. It’s a red colored pouch, I was expecting the bag to be of better quality, the paint had worn off from certain sides. Also it’s very basic and nothing fancy for the festive season which usually Fab Bag has.

  • Just Herbs Aloe Vera Facial Massage Gel 50g- Rs.445/- for 100g
  • City Color Be Matte Lipstick in Phoebe- Rs.500

  • Natural Bath & Body Sweet Ocean Body Mist 50ml- Rs.325 for 100ml

I love each and every product in this month’s Fab Bag. I had an option to choose one makeup product and I went with the City Color Lipstick in Phoebe. I saw the swatches online and even read the review. It’s a beautiful shade and a very comfortable matte formula.

Phoebe is a pretty, mauve pink shade.

Veda Earth Under Eye oil has saffron, vetiver and lotus extracts. I have major dark circles currently and this sounds absolutely perfect. It comes in a roll on form, making it easy to use and carry along.

Just Herbs Aloe Vera Massage Gel has cucumber and soy lecithin. It smells herbal, but pretty decent. Aloe Vera Gels are amazing anytime of the year and for all skin types.

Natural Bath & Body Mist in Sweet Ocean is absolutely amazing, it reminds me of my favourite Davidoff Cool Water. I am all about aqua scents and this one is fabulous. Perfect for my handbag!

Though not happy with the outer bag, I am loving every product in this month’s bag. Totally recommend it!

Total value of the products in this month’s bag comes to around Rs.1050-75.

October 2016 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

I just got the October Fab Bag and recorded a video, here is the unboxing and a small review..

It’s the Festive/Diwali edition and the bag was a metallic gold clutch this time. I like the clutch but I wish the quality was a little better and it was stiffer.

Products I got:

  • CAL Finish Up Compact C02: INR 650
  • Votre Lip Gel Scrub (10g): INR 300
  • Kaya Brightening Serum (5ml): INR 1490 for 30ml
  • Vedaearth Cleansing Facial Oil: INR 350
  • Stay Quirky Nail Polish: INR 165 for 6ml

Total value of the products: INR 1715

I am quite happy with the CAL full sized compact and cleansing oil. Also liked the serum and nail paint, not a fan of the smell of the gel lip scrub, though I would use it. I hope the smell doesn’t bother much.

Overall, pretty decent bag. You can pick any makeup product of your choice, I went with the compact. Recommend this month’s Fab Bag.

August 2016 Fab Bag Unboxing

This month’s theme is ‘What The Chic’

The bag is faux leather and navy blue with pink purple polka dots. It is quite sturdy and nice, quality wise.

I quite liked this month’s bag, apart from the full sized foundation, also for the deluxe sized samples. I do recommend this month’ bag but make sure you subscribe quickly to get makeup of your choice 😀

July 2016 Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

I finally got the July Fab Bag today, many of you have been asking me about it since 1st but it was late by 2-3 days this month.

This month’s theme is ‘Hello Gorgeous’

It’s a cute bag, blue faux leather smooth finish bag with pastel pink lips print all over the bag, I quite liked the bag.

Products I got:

  • Sugar It’s A Pout Time Lipstick in Peachy Little Liars- Rs.599
  • Neemli Naturals Bengal Gram Exfoliator- Rs.425/- for 50g
  • Pep Moisture Velvet Shampoo- Rs.119/- for 50ml
  • Johara Instant Radiance Face Scrub- Rs.100 for 15g

Total value of the products: Rs.1245

Starting with the Sugar Lipstick, I am very happy to get this one in this month’s bag, I think I had got one earlier in March or April when they had launched, the shade was Mad Magenta. This time I got a chance to pick the shade and I went with Peachy Little Liars, they have added two new shades, one this and the other red.

I absolutely love the shade, it’s not a peach but more of a pink brown nude. I will be posting a pic wearing that on my Instagram soon.

Neemli Naturals Bengal Gram exfoliator is a clay based face pack which needs to be rubbed after it days, so that it even exfoliates skin. It is on the lines of a ubtan, and can be used both for the face and body. Though it is very expensive to be used for the body and you will need the whole pack for one time use, I will be sticking to using it for the face. It has multani mitti, turmeric, gram flour, rice flour and sandalwood powder.

I have the Johara Instant Radiance face scrub before (full review HERE) and quite like it, this sample is very tiny though, but this is good for travel and might last 3 uses.

I have never tried Pep Moisture Velvet Shampoo, this has Oat Proteins and claims to make hair very soft and manageable in few uses. This 50 ml bottle should last 7-8 uses, again perfect for travel. I am looking forward to trying this out.

I like the Sugar Lipstick and Neemli scrub, both the full sized products in the bag. I won’t say it’s a must buy, but you can if you want to try Sugar lipstick.

Also only members with 3,6 or 12 months subscriptions will get a chance to choose the shade, while others who buy only for this month, will not get the option to choose the shade.

June 2016 The Beauty Addict Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

So I got my June Fab Bag today and here is my unboxing and review..

I absolutely love this month’s outer box, it is so cute! It’s a black canvas cloth pouch which has makeup print and reads ‘Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat’ which is the story of my life 😀 Definitely going to use this a lot.

The theme for this month is ‘The Beauty Addict’, let’s see the contents:

  • Skin Yoga Coffee Body Scrub – Full size (Rs.845)
  • Karite Buerre Pure Shea Butter- 20g (Rs.499/- for 50g)
  • Janseen ROC Serum- Full size (Rs.2000/- for 30ml)
  • Be a Bombshell Eyeshadow Crayon in Stonehenge- Full size (Rs.1200/-)

To start with the eyeshadow crayon, I had the option to select one makeup product this month and I chose this Stonehenge shade. I saw the swatches online and liked this frosty taupy shade. Unfortunately it’s not very pigmented and also is smudge proof, definitely needs a good eyeshadow on top or else won’t stay.

Karite Buerre Pure Shea Butter sounds amazing, I was in the lookout for shea butter and glad I got this. This 20g would last really long, it’s perfect to use for cuticles, on lips, on hand and feet or even ends of hair.

Skin Yoga makes fabulous stuff and I have tried a few before, got samples mostly in subscription boxes and bags, I am so glad this is full sized. If you read the recent post on our blog about cellulite, you must be knowing how coffee scrub is amazing for cellulite. Definitely looking forward to trying this.

And finally the ROC Anti Wrinkle Serum, I love the ingredients and the brand and product are amazing, but just not for me. I don’t have wrinkles yet and I would have liked if I would have got something suited for my skin and age. Not happy with this, but I will pass this to my mom and I hope she likes it.

Overall I am quite happy with the rest of the items and that there are three full sized products and one deluxe sample this time. Surely recommend this month’s Fab Bag and the total value of the products in this month’s bag is Rs. 4250.

I hope they continue with such products every month 😀

May 2016 Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

So I got the May 2016 Fab Bag today and it’s the ‘Summer Escapade’ theme, perfect for the season.

It’s a green colored mesh bag, very helpful to see through products and I like carrying such mesh bags for travel, so that can identify what is stored.

Products I got:

  • Sea Soul Eyeshadow Duo in Deep Purple: Rs.950/-
  • The Nature’s Co. White Tea Night Cream (20ml): Rs.895/-for 50ml
  • Inveda SPF30 PA++ Sunscreen Cream Gel : Rs.275/- for 75ml
  • Nyassa Tea Tree Face Wash (30ml): Rs.400 /- for 145ml

To start with the Sea Soul Eyeshadow Duo, I absolutely love it! It has two shades and comes with a mirror, one is a deep bluish purple and the other is a duochrome gold/purple/denim blue shade. I can’t even describe how gorgeous the duochrome shade is. Both the shades are super pigmented and buttery. It’s an Australian HD makeup brand and I am so glad Fab Bag introduced a new brand this month. I have done a look with this eyeshadow duo on my YouTube channel HERE

I also loved the Inveda sunscreen cream gel, it’s very light and feels gel like in texture. Non sticky and gets easily absorbed, definitely using this up this month.

Nyassa tea tree face wash is also perfect for summers and this 30ml bottle is quite nice. Decent qty and good for travel too. The Nature’s Co. White Tea Night Cream is pretty expensive and this is a deluxe sized 20ml jar. Feels very rich and hydrating and perfect for night time, the smell is light and not very overpowering or bothering.

Overall, I would say I am pretty impressed with 2 full sized products including one new brand’s full sized makeup product. And two deluxe sized samples. I do like May’s Fab Bag and definitely recommend it.

April 2016 Fab Bag Review, Unboxing

I got my April Fab Bag today, there was some address goof up, but thanks to my mom, I got it on time.

This month’s theme is ‘It’s A Spring Thing‘. I absolutely loved the pink textured bag, the quality is nice too.

  • Soultree Aloe & Rose Water Cleansing Milk – 30ml (Rs,295/- for 120ml)
  • Rene Furterer Curbicia Lightness Regulating Shampoo- 15ml (Rs.1320/- for 150ml)
  • Style Fiesta Earrings- Rs.499/-
  • Freshlook 1 Day Color Lens – Grey (1 pair) (Rs.900 for a pair of 5)

There was an option to select a full sized makeup product for this month’s bag and since I already had most of the stuff, I went for this Catrice Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Hey Macadamia Ahey.

There are 6 products in this month’s bag which is pretty good. I love the Catrice Lip pencil and the earrings. Also I haven’t worn colored lenses post I got my lasik done, so would definitely be trying these once in one of the makeup looks in the future.

Not very happy about the samples except the Soultree one, but the rest of the products makeup for it.

 

Freshlook Grey Lenses

The earrings, lip pencil and one pair of colored lenses totally make the bag worth the money, rest can be counted free 🙂 I do like this month’s bag and recommend it, unless you don’t wear lenses and don’t like the accessory. I am not sure which accessory is being sent to whom, so that depends on your luck 😀

Overall, a thumbs up from me.

March 2016 ‘More Power To You’ Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

I just now got the March Fab Bag, it’s the ‘More Power To You’ Women’s Day/Month theme.

It’s a metallic silver textured bag and I knew the Sugar Cosmetics Matte Lipstick is a part of the bag coz I saw it on their Instagram page and assumed it would be this brand.

Let’s see what all I got:

  • Sugar Cosmetics ‘It’s A Pout Time’ Matte Vivid Lipstick in 03 Mad Magenta (Full sized)- Rs.599/-
  • Wella Professionals Elements Shampoo (30ml)- Rs.175/-
  • Wella Professionals Elements Conditioner (30ml)- Rs.200/-
  • Nykaa Strawberries & Cream Nail Enamel (5ml)- Rs.149/- for 10ml
  • Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub (30g)- Rs.900/- for 200g

I really like the Wella Pro Elements Range, read my review HERE. It is SLS and paraben free and perfect for colored/treated hair, this deluxe sample size is perfect to try out and/or for travel.

I am loving the Sugar Matte Lipstick, love their Matte Crayon too, so was looking forward to the lipstick. Quite excited to try that out. It comes in this magenta pink shade, a muted berry, a nude and a coral.

I have 3-4 of Nykaa nail paints and they are quite decent, I love this summery shade and would definitely be wearing it.

The Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub smells amazing, but since it’s a body scrub, this 30g sample would only work once.

Overall, I would say it’s a mixed bag, not a must have but pretty decent if you are into matte lipsticks and wanted to try the Wella Pro Elements Range, a nail paint and bag are added bonus 😀

The value of the products come to around Rs.1200/- which is still not bad and the deluxe sizes are decent too.
