Always Ready with Clean & Clear Foaming Face Wash

Always Ready with Clean & Clear Foaming Face Wash

Hi guys,

If you remember, I have reviewed the Clean & Clear Foaming Face wash earlier, read HERE. It is one of the most handy and economically priced face wash for oily skin in the market currently. I love how it foams and deep cleanses, getting rid of all the dirt and oil from the pores.

When you use it after a long, tiring day, you can feel the dirt and oil getting cleansed giving you an instant refreshing feeling.

When you have oily or muddy face, you don’t feel confident and at the same time the fear of the dirt and oil getting accumulated in your pores, resulting in clogged pores and acne.

Clean & Clear recognizes that it takes courage to be your real self. It removes dirt, oil, fear and doubt with every wash so that you feel happy in your own skin and have the courage to let people see the real you, whoever you are today.

With Clean & Clear Foaming Face wash and it’s 8 hour long oil controlling ability, you can now get the assurance that you are indeed ready for whatever the day may bring. A cleanser for oily skin is one of the first and very important step to control oily skin.

No one likes the oily, chip chip feeling on the face. And when you are out whole day, one doesn’t have the time to blot the face time and again or keep checking if your face is too shiny.

Wash away your fears and worries about oily skin with Foaming Face Wash. Its 8 hour oil control ensures you see your oil-free real self in the mirror/reflections through the day. So you can be always ready to be the real you.

It definitely keeps oil and shine at bay, for me. When I have a long day out, I always use this and make sure I carry it along with me all the time. You can always keep one in your hand bag, you never know when you might need it 😀 For instance, it may be a stay over at a friend’s place after a long night of partying or an after party from college or work, anytime, anywhere. I love the fact that it is handy and it comes in a smaller 20ml and 50ml bottles too. I don’t worry about my face being shiny or oily when I use this, I know I can #BeAlwaysReady with the Clean & Clear Foaming Face Wash.

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.50/- for 50g, Rs.75/- for 100g

I received this super cute diary..with all Bollywood caricature and a pen drive with this Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash..you must have seen this on my Insta (by the way, if you are still not following me, its @newlovemakeup)

It comes in a white and green tube packaging with a flip cap..it also has a seal inside..its light green in color with a transparent hue and has a runny consistency..and also has a neem smell.. Himalaya Neem face wash is my HG..so I am used to the smell and don’t mind it.

It foams well..and cleanses the skin thoroughly..skin feels refreshed..but also its a little drying on my cheek area (since I have combination skin) and need a moisturiser after using this. I guess this is perfect for oily skin..as it does control oil…and has tea tree oil which is good for acne..

Since I do not have any breakout right now (touchwood), I am not sure how fast it is in healing acne or if it helps with that..but it definitely did not break me out and kept acne at bay.

Pros:

1. Neem and tea tree oil, two active ingredients of this, are very good for healing acne.
2. Cleanses skin well.
3. Skin feels refreshed.
4. Controls oil.
5. Perfect for oily skin.
6. Economical than other tea tree face wash in the market.
7. Easily available.

Cons:

1. Dry skin would find it very drying…you surely need a moisturiser after this.

Overall I would say its perfect for oily skin..and controls oil and cleanses well..comes in various sizes..and one of the economical tea tree face wash in the market.

Oxyglow Bearberry and Grape Fairness Facewash Review

Oxyglow Bearberry and Grape Fairness Skin Lightening Facewash Review

By Shruti

Product: Oxyglow Bearberry and Grape Fairness Facewash

Qty.: 110 ml.

Price: Rs.115/-

What the Company claims: The bearberry and grape fairness face wash helps in preventing roughness of skin by deep cleansing the pores. It helps in restoring the optimum moisture balance of the skin. It is a skin lightening fairness face wash which helps in maintaining the youthfulness of the skin as well.

Directions for Use: It is to be used twice an day followed up with oxyglow intensive moisturizing lotion.

Review

The oxyglow bearberry and grape fairness face wash looks very appealing. The entire look and feel of the product is interesting. Through the transparent tube the face wash is visible and it immediately ups our curiosity quotient. Small purplish blue beads / granules of the bearberry and grape extracts beg for attention. They keep us engaged and after a minute or so you end up realising it is not a toy (the beads going up and down is pretty fun) but a face wash.

Just like the looks, the aroma of this product is fruity and refreshing. How I wish I could go on writing only the good stuff about it. For me this face wash did not quiet work. I have a combination skin (leaning more towards dry skin) and an oily T-zone and when used upon, the face wash ended up making my skin (especially the area around the lips and chin) feel very dry instead of moisturizing it.

The fact that this product contains SLES (sodium lauryl ether sulphate), SLS (Sodium laureth sulphate) which is a cleansing and foaming agent is not reassuring. It could cause skin / eye irritation for those allergic to it. For me this was not a deterrent as I am not allergic to any of the above.

On the other hand some Grape seed, Aloe Vera, Bearberry and Chamomile extracts help in inducing a relaxing fragrance and feel to the skin. This product might work wonders for the oily skin type. It will surely provide some good moisture balancing and rejuvenation to the oily skin type.

As far as the packaging is concerned, it is a very convenient tube with a flip cap. The pricing is also fine.

Let me summarize this one for you all:-

Pros:

1. Attractive purple granules lends an appealing look

2. Foams well

3. Very refreshing fragrance

4. Will work well for the oily skin type

5. Has many extracts of fruits (grape, bearberry etc) and plants (chamomile)

6. Enriched with Vitamin E

7. Decent quantity and pricing

Cons:

1. Not suitable for all skin types

2. Contains some chemicals which could cause allergic reactions

3.  Feels little more chemical based than natural

Price Rating: 8/10

Availability: 8/10

Overall Rating: 6/10

I might not buy it again, since it did not suite my skin type. For those with oily skin would you like to give it a try? Do let us know here!

It comes in a long slender plastic bottle..with a nozzle opening and a plastic cap…since it has honey, turmeric, etc..its yellowish in color with a brown tinge..it has small exfoliating brown granules..probably the jojoba meal and arjuna bark as mentioned..has an ayurvedic smell too..a mix of honey and herbs kinda..

Its a very light, gentle cleanser..does not foam much..good for everyday cleansing..and exfoliates a little too..

Pros:

1. I love the ingredients and that each has its own properties..being antiseptic, exfoliating and dissolves dead skin cells.

6. Though its priced high…its good enough to be priced that way..and 100 ml is a good quantity.

Yardley English Lavender Face Wash Review

Yardley English Lavender Gentle Cleansing Face Wash Review

Yardley London has recently launched their very famous face washes in India..

It comes in two variants..Gentle Cleansing (Refreshing Facial Cleanser) and Deep Cleansing(Luxurious Facial Foam)..each further comes in two forms..English Lavender and English Rose.

What the Company claims:

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs. 70/- for 50g

I am not very fond of Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Washes as they make my skin feel dry and stretchy…and gel based face washes suit my skin perfectly.

This English Lavender Gentle Refreshing Facial Cleanser is quite my types..and Lavender is my favorite scents too.

Its a light violet transparent gel based face wash..only a small amount is required for the whole face..I love the transparent violet tube too and the cap is sturdy enough..neither does excess face wash ooze out and it snaps and closes tight too.

I love the light lavender soothing smell..its very gentle as claimed..and skin never felt dry or stretchy after using this..though it does not foam too much..but decently well..and cleanses well too.

Pros:

1. Love the transparent violet packaging..the cap is sturdy and it is travel friendly.
2. I quite like the soothing lavender smell.
3. Its quite gentle and does not strip the face of oils or make it feel dry and stretchy.
4. You need just a little amount.
5. Comes in the Deep Cleansing Foam form too if you prefer cream based foaming face washes…and in English Rose scent if you like that.
6. Economically priced.

Cons:

1. Has SLS.
2. Would not remove your make up..this is a gentle cleanser..so do not expect that.

No other cons..Overall I like this…love the Lavender smell and it is gentle enough to be used everyday..surely recommended if you like Lavender scent..I love Yardley English Lavender Deo and Soap too 😀
