I have so many outfit posts to share with you guys, at least 2-3 more and I haven’t got around editing, resizing or writing a post.
I didn’t post on the blog in such a long time, this was honestly the longest break I have taken from my blog per se, but I was posting a lot of content on my Instagram and other platforms.
Yesterday I posted about the ShopBop Black Friday Sale, this outfit and all the accessories are also from ShopBop co-incidentally 🙂
I am very conscious of my arms as they are my problem area, all of us have 1 or 2 problem areas in the body which tend to store stubborn fat which doesn’t go away even after you try hard and lose weight all over or do specific exercises for that part. For some, it’s the stomach or hips or thighs, for me my upper arms. I avoid sleeveless outfits for the same reason, because I dress as per my body type and avoid wearing outfits that accentuate my problem area, the first and basic rule 🙂
I do like off shoulder dresses as they hide my arm fat, but this one was a tie up and half backless/shoulder baring dress. Loved the lavender colour and floral print, this dress was overall very cute and fit me perfect like a glove.
Even though it does show my arms, I am ok with it this time 😀 I love the overall look and fit of this dress. I paired it with a simple white lace choker, a white DVF sling and silver Jeffrey Campbell bow slides with a unique and transparent heel.

P.S.: I am really sick currently, viral fever infected my liver, so resting and trying to be fine ASAP.
I remember the last time I wore it or more appositely, was made to wear it was more than a decade ago when I about to enter my teens. That piece of clothing made me look as if I had been wrapped in a sack (of potatoes). In one word- AWKWARD. I vowed never to fall prey to my mother’s persuasion/emotional gas-lighting ever until a few months ago, I saw a number of Tinseltown ladies step out in sheer panache swathed in “those”. And now that I have seen HOW to sport them, my interest in owning a couple of them has increased by leaps and bounds.
Need a clue as to what am I alluding at? Take a look at the title of the post. Got it? Yes, it is the DUNGAREE that has made a comeback into the limelight in an all-new avatar 🙂
Need to see the ladies who changed my perception of them? There you go!
1. KANGANA RANAUT- Do I need to say anything about her fashion and sartorial choices even a little? This lady has changed the rules of fashion and how! Once a plain Jane, now a fashionista who carries anything and everything as if it’s tailor-made for her, Kangana sports a rugged look replete with a pair of beige shoes, cap and a graphic tee that shows off her faded pair of dungaree perfectly. Add to that her inherent swag and we go ‘Banno Tera Swagger Laage Saixy’ all over again!
2. PRACHI DESAI- As cute as a button, Prachi Desai opts for a pair of denim dungarees, sleeveless black top, boots and a funky pair of shades that transmogrifies her into a smoldering diva instantly.
3. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- With her immaculate sartorial choices and toned body, it didn’t come as a surprise that this Desi Girl opted for a full top-to- bottom dungaree that she teamed up with stiletto ballerinas. Needless to say, she looked fresh as a daisy and made sure that both the shutterbugs as well as the fashion police have a whale of their time.
4. YAMI GAUTAM – Yami just brought her girl-next- door to the forefront with this look. Swaddled in a pair of thigh –length dungarees teamed up with a simple black top underneath and Adidas sneakers, this look was simple, youthful and breezy.
5. ALIA BHATT – A personal favourite of mine in this list, Alia delineates vibrancy, chirpiness and pertness like no other. Teaming a pair of denim dungarees with a light pink top and white sneakers with her luscious hair let loose, Alia defined the art of easy and comfortable yet chic dressing. The only flaw? Her expression. Why so serious, Alia? You look winsome 🙂
6. KRITI SANON – This kid on the block is making all the right noises, especially when it comes to her sartorial choices. Opting for a pair of tube dungarees for an event with colour blocked heels, Kriti looked effortlessly funky.
7. KATRINA KAIF – That Katrina doesn’t like to accessorise much is a no-brainer. What we do not know about her is that her dressing can be as easy and comfort-oriented that we can conveniently borrow those tricks from her. Seen here is the lady swathed in a pair of dungarees with a casual tee, sneakers and plaid tee. That’s one look a lot of us including me, can live in forever.
Editor’s Note: My dungaree memory, when I was in school and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai had released, Kajol brought back the dungarees and I owned one then. I used to love it. Love Alia and Katrina’s dungarees here which are more boyfriend style and comfortable.
Sometimes, miracles happen overnight. It required just one film to catapult Shraddha Kapoor to the status of an overnight sensation. With forgettable box-office duds like ‘Teen Patti’ and ‘Luv Ka The End’ in the past, Aashiqui2 opposite the dashing debonairhunk- Aaditya Roy Kapoor, came as a much-needed kiss of life to Shraddha. A few years down the line and the perky Marathi mulgi (as she considers herself more a Marathi than a Punjabi) is riding hide on the success of a number of her flicks. It’s hard to turn a blind eye to her effervescence, charm, vivaciousness and girl-next- door avatars. Let us feast our eyes to the Best off-screen looks of this pert actress then, shall we? 🙂
1. DURING ABCD2 PROMOTIONS – Tanya Ghavri has styled Shraddha for her ABCD 2 promo tour and looks like she took her task with utmost seriousness. Pairing a Hemant & Nandita creation with Zara flats, Shraddha looked her usual chirpy self. And not to forget her tousled brown locks look drool- worthy.
2. ALL SUITED UP- The ebullient Shraddha Kapoor’s feminine spin on the power suit is simply put-Style goals. The colour with zero accessories and nude makeup makes this look an out-and- out hit.
3. DURING THE HAIDER PROMOTIONS- And here comes the girl who no guy would think twice before popping the question. Carrying this beige look with sheer aplomb, Shraddha rocks in a soft, feminine dress and rounds it off with wavy hair.
4. UNLEASHING THE TOMBOY WITHIN- The livewire Shraddha, for the promotion of ABCD 2 attended an episode of the dance reality show- DID Super Moms with her ABCD2 co-star Varun Dhawan in a Gas grey denims and jacket with a white Zara graphic tee. Opting for a casual look, she completed her look by keeping her hair in a sleek ponytail, bracelets and a pair of gold Adidas sneakers. Talk of going funky and miss out Shraddha? Naah, that is just not happening anytime soon.
5. GOING BOHO CHIC- Going boho chic, Shraddha opts for a causal look in an Urvashi Kaur outfit. She completes it with a pink top and gypsy pants with a statement neckpiece by Blur designs, Gucci sandals and a quirky ombre hairdo. Certainly, my top pick out of all her looks.
6. FOR BAAGHI PROMOTONS- Sparkling in a Prabal Gurung black and blue blocked dress during the promotional tour of Baaghi, Shraddha kept her look minimal. She opted for side swept locks and black ankle strap sandals which rounded off her look.
7. UNLEASHING THE FEMININE SIDE- Swaddled in in DvF and Zara for the promotions of Haider on India’s Raw Star, Shraddha looked effortlessly stylish and chic. Not going overboard in styling is her USP. Have a look at her feline eyes and you’ll be transfixed.

The long summer is gone and it is getting pretty much cold day-by-day. Even though winter is for a very short time in India, it is about time to pack up those light weight cotton and linen clothing and bring out the jackets, scarfs and hoodies. If you thought women are the only ones who are interested in seasonal clothing and men don’t care at all, you are absolutely wrong. Men are more conscious of their attire and they like to be well quipped as well. Thus, we are going to going through the bang on-trends for 2016 to start working on a guy’s winter fashion game.

I attended the Forevermark Diamond Masterclass the other day. It was so informative, I came to know quite a lot of things about diamonds in general and Forevermark in particular.

Diamonds being so rare, it goes through further quality checks and rigorous processes to be qualified as a Forevermark diamond.
First piloted in Hong Kong in 2004, Forevermark was launched as a wholly-owned subsidiary by The De Beers Group of Companies in 2008, leveraging over 125 years of diamond expertise.
Each Forevermark diamond undergoes a journey of rigorous selection. Less than one per cent of the world’s diamonds are worthy of the Forevermark inscription. The unique inscription is an assurance that every Forevermark diamond is beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced. The miniscule inscription found on Forevermark diamonds is only 1/5000th of a human hair. It can only be seen using a special Forevermark viewer available at Authorised Forevermark Jewellers.
Forevermark is distributed in more than 1,700 doors worldwide and continues to grow with the addition of new licensee markets and the expansion across existing core markets.
Selection process
Rough diamonds that have large inclusions are rejected as there must be no significant inclusions that may affect refraction of light. Those with a cloudy, milky or hazy appearance are also rejected as the diamond’s brilliance is diminished. Some other features can only be seen once the diamond has been cut and polished. Those with a muddy appearance, internal graining and fluorescence are rejected as they all impact on the diamond’s beauty.
Quality of the polish
Forevermark rejects diamonds that have been forced on the polishing wheel against their natural direction. It will burn the diamond, affecting its transparency and ability to reflect light.
Durability
Diamonds that have been cut with a thin girdle, shallow crown, or steep pavilion are rejected as it makes the diamonds vulnerable to abrasions, chipping and breakage. Diamonds with a girdle too thick are rejected as they carry too much weight, affecting its proportions and diminishing its beauty.
Exceptional Rarity
Forevermark are the world’s most carefully selected diamonds. Only truly beautiful diamonds are eligible to be inscribed with the Forevermark unique inscription. Less than 1% of the world’s diamond are worthy of the Forevermark inscription.
Forevermark Diamond Grading Report
Authorised Forevermark Jewellers are able to supply a Forevermark Diamond Grading Report to their customers which provides an accurate blueprint of the qualities – cut, colour, clarity and caratage of each Forevermark diamond.
In the presentation, I learned how diamonds are cut manually with diamond powder and diamond polish and every smallest cut is to be done with precision as the diamonds keep rotating on a wheel. All Forevermark diamonds are transparent without any inclusions and the colours range only from D-L.
In terms of shapes and sizes, all Forevermark diamonds will have a clear table for the inscription and hence a ball, drop and rose shape can never be a Forevermark diamond.
10 carat Diamond
We also saw a 10 carat diamond and how it reflected light! It was the most beautiful diamond I had ever seen!
The display of Forevermark diamond jewellery was mesmerizing. I also tried a pair of earrings and a beautiful cocktail ring.

Well, that is a question only Deepika can answer but I hope it’s in negation During one of the promotional legs of her then, impending movie- Piku, Deepika was seen swaddled in a black sequins sporty crop top with balloon sleeves. This was paired with distressed cropped denims. Sporty loafers in white completed her look. Pssst… I know you are drooling over her abs. I understand. Even I am 🙂
5. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- Another fashionista of Bollywood who almost always steps as if on a mission to leave one and all awestruck with her impeccable sense of dressing. Having donned crop tops a couple of times, Priyanka here shows you how to style it in a number of ways. Long skirt, denims, pencil skirts… You name it and she shows it and how! And that midriff is worth drooling over, isn’t it?

The vivacious lady looks drop-dead gorgeous in her chiselled avatar and what better than she working out for what she wanted instead of positing excuses?) but also her sartorial sense has ameliorated. We see Chopra Junior experiment and hit the bullseye quite often these days. So, let’s have a rundown of some of the Best Off-screen Looks of Parineeti Chopra 🙂
1. ON ‘LOOK WHO’S TALKING’- Swaddled in a black top from Zara and a red paint splatter skirt from The Source, Chopra Junior shot for an episode of Look Who’s Talking. She accessorised her look with a jeweled statement necklace and sported a pair of gorgeous Jimmy Choos. This look surely gets a thumbs up, Parineeti!
2. BOHEMIAN VIBES AT A STORE LAUNCH– Clad in denim shorts with a pink tee and floral cape that Parineeti teamed with nude wedges and multi-layered neck pieces, the Ishaqzaade actress made heads turn for all the right reasons at the H&M store launch in Noida. Not a lot many women can carry a bohemian look and Parineeti clearly does not fall in that category. The chirpy Chopra looks effortlessly sassy and easy on the eyes.

IN AN ANARKALI- Swathed in a beige anaarkali with the picture-postcard locales of Jaipur in the backdrop, Parineeti looks gorgeous minus gaudy (and that’s difficult to look as anarkalis tend to be opulent hence, chances of one looking gaudy are high if not carried/accessorised well). The young ‘Dawat-e- Ishq’ heroine delineates exquisiteness here, doesn’t she?
4. IN MUSKAAN GOSWAMI– Swathed in a blazer dress by Intrinsic by Muskaan Goswami, Parineeti Chopra dazzled on the red carpet of the HT Style Awards. One usually doesn’t go minimalistic when attending red carpet events that showcase more of bling and glitz; however Chopra Junior doesn’t go by the book. And who doesn’t love that rebellious streak of hers?
5. GOING PLAYFUL- Clad in a burgundy embellished blouse from Kanika Goyal that was paired with high-waisted shorts, Parineeti attended an event for a brand. Accessorising with caged heels and an oversized hat, she redefined the art of comfy dressing. We are swooning, Chopra Junior.
6. ON THE SETS OF KBC 8- Swaddled in a peplum style blue dress to promote Daawat-E- Ishq on Kaun Banega Crorepati, Parineeti topped the dress with a chunky statement necklace by The Source. She rounded off her look with black booties by Steve Madden. Now that is called chic dressing!
7. IN A TAREK SINNO GOWN- Swathed in a flared embellished gown by Tarek Sinno for the Zee Cine Awards 2016, the effervescent actress accessorised her look with petite baubles by Farah Khan Ali and shoes by Heel & Buckle. Nude makeup along with a braided hairdo completed her ethereal look.
