Its been a long time I did a proper review..so here is one with The ONE.
What the Company claims: Oriflame The ONE Eyeliner Stylo has a soft felt tip which delivers a smooth, precise line without dragging or stopping. It is suitable for contact lens wearers, and is Ophthalmologically tested. The intense pigments deliver rich colour intensity and have been given a positive response of 99% when consumer tested on 67 women. Also it lasts upto 24 hours.
MRP: Rs.499/- for 0.8ml
The ONE Eyeliner Stylo comes in a sleek pen packaging with a long, stiff tip that is just perfect to draw a smooth line.
These swatches are just one swipe and I absolutely loved the pigmentation. I like a few liners which are nice and thin tip but the formulation is such that you have to go over the liner 2-3 times to get a decently pigmented line since they are thin/water based. Pigmentation wise, it gets a big thumbs up.
It comes in 2 shades, Blue and Black. While the black is more pigmented, I would definitely love to see more shades introduced in this like jewel green, purple, brown, etc.
It stays for around 6-7 hours with minimal fading later and comes off with a normal makeup remover. Does not smudge or smear.
It is slightly on the expensive side but mostly on offers, so look out for them and grab them when at a good discount.
I would have preferred a thinner tip coz I like very thin, subtle liner on me. Though its perfect for my winged liner days. But if you love thick liners or are a winged liner person, this will ease your life!
Only issue is available through Oriflame reps only.
Overall, I am quite impressed with the pigmentation and quality, would love more colors and maybe a thinner tip.

Have you tried the new Oriflame The ONE Range or the Eyeliner Style?
How many of you relate to this on some or the other days? :raises hand up slowly: Do you know that most women wear only 20% of their wardrobe 80% of the time? #Fact
The main reason for a wardrobe brimming with clothes but still have nothing to wear, is unorganized/cluttered wardrobe.
Few ways in which you can organize your wardrobe in a much better way:
1) Donate
Do away with clothes you haven’t worn in the past 6 months..there is hardly any chance you would be wearing them anytime soon in the near future. Donate the old clothes and shoes (or the ones that no longer fit) to the needy, that way you have more space plus some extra blessings 🙂 Do not keep those old denims/tees, etc. waiting to lose weight and get back in them some day. You can always buy new clothes when you lose weight..a little motivation to work out harder 😀
2) Arrange
Arrange your clothes according to seasons..summer and winter clothing, according to formal, casual and Indian wear, maybe all denims together, skirts together, etc. I do that always, makes my job of finding clothes easy. Some people prefer arranging according to colors which is also a good idea.
3) Curb impulsive purchases
‘Sale’, ‘Flat 50% off’, ‘Clearance’,etc. are some magical words which attract us :p Been there, done that! Or even emotional shopping, having a bad day and there starts our online shopping sites’ browsing. Do not give into the magical ‘sale’ word which is nothing but a marketing gimmick and also cut down on the emotional shopping! Shopping is no solution to our problems, its difficult but you can also try and restrict yourself to once a month or having a budget for shopping, etc.
4) Invest in key pieces
Anything that you have too many of needs to go, 5-6 pairs of black formal pants and denims, 3-4 white shirts, etc You do not need multiple of same things instead invest in some key pieces and quality stuff. Buy some premium western wear for women which are classic, can be worn on multiple occasions and you can create at least 3 different looks with! That, my friend, is the key.
5) Repeat the process
Keep cleaning, reorganizing and rearranging your wardrobe regularly, at least once in 6 months. Repeat this whole process and you are bound to keep your wardrobe in check.
Remember out of sight, out of mind. If you cannot see all of your clothes, you are never bound to wear them. Only the ones that are visible would be worn day in and day out while the rest just catches dust.
I hope these ideas help you organize your wardrobe better and you can make more use of your stuff 🙂

Styling the new Lakme #HairIsFashion Hairstyle and Win a Hair Makeover
Hey guys,
Remember my new Lakme Absolute Salon #HairIsFashion Show Stopping Hair makeover HERE. I am in love with the subtle highlights and the cut Shefali gave me.
The highlights get a bit lighter and more visible after a few washes..so they are a little more prominent now.
How I would love to style my new hair?
With western/casual clothes, I love the way its blow dried here. I would prefer doing the same..straight locks with in between subtle hints of highlights on the crown and from behind the neck. The auburn looks perfect with a brick red lipstick here.
With Indian wear like a saree/dress, I would go with softer curls on the ends turning them outwards something like this..
Or add some embellishment with bangs similar to this (I am thinking of experimenting with short bangs)
Or side swept hair with waves..
Curls pinned to one side something similar to this..
Can’t wait to try different hairstyles..would definitely update you guys with pics of more trials..
For now, here is a contest for you guys..one of you gets a chance to win this Show Stopping Hair Makeover at Lakme Salon.
Participant must be a resident of India and must have a Lakme Salon in their city..the winner gets a Rs.1500/- voucher for their very own Show Stopping Hair Makeover.
All you need to do is answer a question why ‘Hair is Fashion’ according to you,in the comments below?
Human beings are not robots. Surprisingly, Apparel companies dont often get it. Actually, they don’t get it. My hubby is 6’3″. Lean build. Weighs 80 kgs. Has a broad body, long arms and longer legs. :p
So, all the shopping he does for formal wear (He was an investment banker so he cannot afford to mess up on his clothes fittings) invariably ends up with buying shirt and trouser pieces from Babubhai Jagjivandas at Dadar and getting them stitched. Because no brand has a shirt size of 42 with an option of 1 inch extra sleeve length. It was a nightmare for me to find a shirt to gift him even during our courtship coz of the 42,44 confusion. All brands had some minor difference in sleeve length in 42 and 44. And while both were slightly loose when it came to overall fit especially 44, but the sleeve length could not be compromised at all :/
How often has it been that you have walked into an apparel store just to return empty handed because what you liked didn’t exactly fit you or wasn’t available in your size? How many times have you wished that you could alter just a bit of the design elements so that the garment truly reflects your own style?
Each one of us is unique – with different body types. Someone may have a paunch, someone may be shorter or someone may have a longer than usual arm length. For a long time, brands have treated consumers as a set of fixed fits and sizes. As a result, people who don’t fall within these specified sets of sizes and fits have to live with the compromise of not finding their perfect fitting garment. Even people with regular body type have to live with the compromises of things not fitting to their taste.
Van Heusen MYFIT changes all that. It’s an innovative solution that helps consumer break all these compromises and gives the power in their hands to find a garment that truly fits them – fits to their unique body or to their unique taste.”
He went to the store with a not-so-optimistic mood. I had to literally kick him out of the house. He came back with a happy grin. His size was “TALL FIT – 42” for shirts.
I then went on to the Trendin website, picked a smart blue line formal shirt and 2 pairs of trousers. Shirts in MYFIT have 7 step by step customization options starting with body type..and the main being sleeve length +1 inch and -1 inch. We went for +1 inch, that being the major problem usually coz of his height.
Coming to the trousers, it again has 5 customized steps starting again with the body type. Then comes the flat front or pleated option, followed by waist size. It has lots of options in waist size including the in-between odd sizes from 27 to 37 and then again the even ones from 38 to 50. And the last is trouser length, if you know the exact size which if you have visited the store or get it stitched previously you would, you get the exact including half an inch. And even if you don’t know the exact length, fret not, you can alter it at your nearest Van Heusen store anytime.
The order came about a week later. The package was from Madura Fashion & Lifestyle. Turns out these are the very same Madhura guys whose premium menswear was in great demand a generation back.
The store manager had also told him to come visit again after the order is delivered and he would be more than happy to do a few minor alterations.
Anyways, the shirt as well as the trouser fitted him perfectly. For a change :p
For starters, MYFIT works like this:
a) It doesn’t offer tailor made shirts and trousers.
b) They have just introduced some simple variations in standard sizes to make it easy for a lot of differently sized people to get good quality branded formal wear.
c) You go to a store. Try out various sizes. Zero in on the MYFIT size. Go online and order the same. Actually, MYFIT is so simple that if you are familiar with your measurements, you don’t even need to go to a physical store.
PS: Have a look at the fabric before buying (Actually, the store guys have an entire catalogue with them containing sample pieces of the cloth fabric that would give you a better idea).
Remember the new facial epilator from Braun I had shared details of, HERE, I have been using it from quite some time now and here is the review.
What the Company claims: New Braun Face, the world’s first 2 in 1 facial device, delivering pore-deep cleansing and high precision facial epilation for pure, radiant beauty, whether you want to go make up-free or create the perfect canvas to try the latest trends. This revolutionary new beauty device from the world’s No.1 epilator brand is an investment in better-looking skin. Expect your complexion to look visibly smooth, fresh and beautifully flawless at the flick of a switch.
I love the fact that it is so small, handy and convenient..fits in a palm. And there is only a cap head and one cleansing attachment to be carried along with this and a tiny brush to clean it. Super travel friendly.
The epilator head is round and tapered and has rotating tiny tweezers on the side too which makes it ideal to use it anywhere on your face and angles. I mostly use it for my upper lips though. Even though most of us get our upper lips done at the salon, there are always this in-between days where the upper lips grow fast and its quite annoying to visit the salon especially for upper lip wasting our precious time too. Also when I was out of town for my honeymoon for 15 days, I desperately needed this for my upper lip as I had forgotten my tweezers too and none of the 6 hotels we went to, had tweezers! Imagine my plight. I would have surely carried this with me, had it launched before my wedding! It would have been a savior. Travelling, long trips, no time for salon visits, etc is when Braun Face is God sent for us 😀
I was shit scared using it for the first time, reading some previous experiences of people, but it was not even as painful as the salon threading! It took some time as the corners and edges are difficult to get in, but it was quick and took me about 10 minutes for the entire upper lip. There was no growth for about 10 days after which I used it again.
Even right now when I am on bed rest and cannot walk, this is very handy. I have already used it once after being discharged from the hospital.
The second cleansing head is equally amazing, and I have used it every alternate day before. It cleanses every speck of dirt and grime from the face. I have used it post makeup removal too. The bristles are soft and its not at all harsh on the facial skin.
You need to change the head after every 3 months of use. It comes with 2 years warranty and only needs a battery cell to operate. The hair can be easily cleaned using the brush it comes along.
You just need to press the click button below to remove/change the heads.
I had a similar mini tweezer from China before..reviewed HERE. It was not so good quality wise but still very handy. This is amazing in comparison and the cleansing head is a total bonus. Absolutely recommend it!
Rating: 4.5/5
P.S: Do a patch test before if you are intolerant to pain and cannot stand tweezing at all. If you regularly get your upper lip threading done at a salon, this would hardly hurt in comparison.
Oh, em, gee: there’s a new fun thing in town, and everybody’s SUTTAOING it (well, not quite literally). Rrithik Hoshan, Lunny Seone – I have even heard that Middharth Salhotra cannot live without it. Its called EON E-Vape, (Geekos refer to it as electronic vaping device) and it is supposed to be to cigarettes what kindle is to books. :p
If you are below 18, please close this page!!!!!!!
It is not powered by matchsticks or lighters. Gone are those days. Gen-X wants an “E” prefixed to everything. It does not fart out smoke, tar or ash and all that polluting stuff (Remember that gory ad played before movies @ PVR: ITNA TAAR AAPKO BIMAAR, BAHUT BIMAAR BANA DETA HAI. Well, apparently, all that will soon become unreal if this stuff catches up). And btw, there is no plug attached to it, its battery powered. As the slogan goes, it is literally – ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, with 2 flavours – Rich Flavour & Menthol.
Three of my close friends are already hooked on to it – For the first, the smoking lounge is way too far from his desk and he prefers Vaping in the comfort of the loo. It works just fine as it does not piss off any of the millions of smoke alarms installed in his office. For the other guy, it helps him distract himself from the gruelling study schedule in his bedroom. A cigarette was too risky as his mom had a real powerful smell sense. J For the last chic, well, she loves to EVD her frustration out after a gruelling day on an AC bus along the Powai-Goregaon route in Mumbai (Yes, she does it on a BEST bus and its apparently not illegal).
What makes it likely to catch on? Well, for starters, as I explained above, it is super convenient – Doesn’t piss off smoke alarms, fellow travellers, law-keepers, moral police. Its core appeal (Convenience, Read Anytime & Anywhere) stands on two legs – Smoke-free & Battery powered. Whether it will catch up or not, well, no prizes for guessing where my bets are. :p
Apart from this one thing, it’s just regular SUTTA. Doesn’t promise you heaven or wonderland or Katrina Kaif.
Some of my outfit posts from my honeymoon were pending, so I thought of posting them and share some memories too. The Venetian is a beautiful place!! Its almost similar to the Las Vegas one, in fact all the hotels in Las Vegas are present in Macao too, the entire set up of the city has been made in a similar way.
If you love casinos, you will love Macao, if not, head directly to The Venetian! Its the best place in Macao and a must visit. Its a huge huge hotel with a mall inside and the entire mini Venice setup in between..so basically you see shops all around behind while taking a Gondola ride, right at the centre of the mall! And they have this fake blue skies setup above, so its always daytime there, even at 2 am at night 😀
We stayed one day at The Venetian, it is super expensive but it is so so worth every penny.
I wore this pretty floral skater dress which hugs beautifully till the waist and flares at the bottom..its one of my favourite dresses and what better place than to wear it at this beautiful location.
I paired it with my pearl statement necklace and a Daniel Wellington watch and a spiked and a pearl bracelet in one hand. I was carrying only 2-3 pairs of shoes, so wore these black ankle straped wedges. Unfortunately, I had worn these on the day of the accident and they just flew off when I had the huge fall. I will miss them 🙁
One funny incident related with the pic below..when I was getting my pics clicked, 1-2 random ladies from a group where also getting their pics clicked and suddenly came and started getting pics clicked with me 😀 Then another of her friend did the same..it was kinda weird and funny..may be they loved my dress or me..no idea :/
