Her mane let loose might look prepossessing but according to me that is the last thing any lady with a corporate job should go for. Reason? It will stick around with things/your body the moment you step out of an air-conditioned room and entangle with objects thereby break. So, the bottom line is to borrow ideas practically.
3. ALIA BHATT –Inarguably she displays the most eclectic range of ethnic office attire. Seen here is Alia swaddled in a plain black kurta with a pink Chinese collar and dupatta. This is from the scene where she is seen during a presentation in the movie – 2 States. For those ladies who are neither fond nor comfortable with sporting western office attire, sporting such plain kurtis comes across as a viable option.
4. KATRINA KAIF- She looked picture perfect in Fitoor. Not many can carry off red hair well and she looks dreamy with that fiery colour on her tresses! Seen here is Katrina (who essayed the role of Firdaus Jaan Naqvi in Fitoor) swaddled in atypical Western office attire but with a casual twist. 5. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- My vote for the best office/corporate attire to come out from Bollywood has to be from Deepika in Piku. Keeping the weather in mind, Deepika opts for a traditional fabric kurta with palazzo pants and mojris. Her accessories include bags, sunglasses, earrings and a scarf. The palazzo pants make sure that the fabric does not stick to one’s body and discomfit a person during our infamous sweltering summers.
6. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- And the Quantico girl arrives on the list and how! Shown to be working for Verve magazine in Dostana, PeeCee’s look had to be glamourous, chic and dramatic- something not usually associated with the minimalistic looks we see in conventional office jobs. As a result, she swaddled herself in bright dramatic outfits that looked apt with the field she was shown to be in- fashion.
7. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- We can’t help it if the lady has it in her to get a second feature in the list. Deepika Padukone, in the early days of her career essayed the role of a corporate employee in Kartik Calling Kartik. Shown to be a woman of today, her look was kept minimal and sophisticated. With soft curls cascading down her shoulders, she sported simple sleeveless white shirts teaming them up with a black figure-hugging skirt.

2. NARGIS FAKHRI- She is a lady who dresses effortlessly but doesn’t get as many roses thrown at her as some do in Tinsel-town so, here we are, doing what we think she deserves. That is to say, drool at her. At an event in Mumbai, Nargis looked drop-dead gorgeous in a sleek black jumpsuit. Minimalism is the key here and it works wonders, don’t you think so?
3. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- And here comes the reigning queen of Tinsel-town’s Box Office. And it looks like DP has made up her mind to plumb jumpsuits like no one. Be it a tiger-print or a strapless jumpsuit, a high-necked white jumpsuit or one revealing her décolletage, Deepika has gone all out with the attire and made heads turn. My favourite amongst all would be the one in tiger-print 🙂
4. YAMI GAUTAM- Swaddled in a Do & Be jumpsuit, Yami beams radiantly. Her nude makeup, minimal accessorising and girl-next- door charm compel us to envisage ourselves in place of Ayushmaan Khurrana as he serenaded her in Vicky Donor with ‘Paani Da Rang’. This looks proves that simplicity never goes out of vogue.
5. ATHIYA SHETTY- Newbies Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi made an appearance at F Bar in Delhi during one of the promotional tours of their then, impending flick- Hero. Athiya was swaddled in a gorgeous white jumpsuit by designer Ridhi Mehra from her latest collection. It goes without saying that she did justice to the embroidered ribbon sleeves jumpsuit.
6. KAJAL AGGARWAL- For the promotion of one of her flicks- Sardar Gabbara Singh, the perky Kajal kept things minimal in a Zara jumpsuit. Red lip, a classic wristwatch and nude pumps completed her look and don’t we just look at her with sheep’s eyes all this while?
7. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- During one of the screenings of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kareena sported a black and white printed DvF jumpsuit. With a Christopher Kane black sling bag with gold chain and Saint Laurent sandals, she rounded off her look. Aren’t you smitten?

I did a special shoot for 3 outfits recently and hence I made sure I post it on the blog and not just Instagram.
I had this dress since quite some time now, but due to monsoons or some or the other event, I couldn’t get to shoot in this. Also since the material is raw silk, it gets crinkled super easily. This shoot was right after I had got this from ironing and still it has crinkled :/

DEEPIKA PADUKONE- A celebrated model and an equally renowned heroine of late, this leggy lass commenced her career in the showbiz by walking the ramp for a number of designers including some industry big shots. Seen here is Deepika swaddled a beautiful midnight blue bridal lehenga. The lehenga had zari zardosi embroidery all over. She walked the ramp for ace Indian designer Manish Malhotra showcasing his collection at the Delhi Couture Week. Noticeably, the collection was inspired by 1930’s. The colour palette includes deep shades like wine red, olive green, royal blue, mustard and gold. The collection has old vintage and royal look to it.
3. KATRINA KAIF- She looks as ethereal as a Greek Goddess as she struts the ramp for ace Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani’s spring-summer 2016 line. Inspired by the nomadic beauty of the Kutch desert tribes. Katrina and Aditya looked smouldering hot in the ace designer’s SS16 collection.
4. NARGIS FAKHRI- That pout sends all the selfie-addicts into a tizzy, doesn’t it? 😛 Nargis Fakhri is another top model who has walked the ramp time and again for ace designers. Seen here is the glamorous Nargis sashay the ramp in a Anushree Reddy lehenga-choli at LFW Winter Festive 2014. Her natural radiance adds to the beauty of the attire, doesn’t it? 🙂
5. SONAM KAPOOR- She is a Fashionista. Period. Swaddled in unarguably the most high-end designer outifts, Sonam makes sure all the eyes are on as she sashays the ramp every time. Seen here is Sonam decked in opulent jewellery from head to toe while beaming radiantly as she walked the ramp at IIJW 2013.
6. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- ‘Desi Girl’ has been the title that is aptly conferred on her. Looking jaw-dropping in this gorgeous lime green sari paired with a dove grey strappy blouse, PC walked the ramp for ace designer Manish Malhotra at LFW Summer/Resort 2013 Day-1. The sari boasted a delicate sequinned border and a slash of fuchsia across the border of the pallu. Side-swept waves and a rose pink lippie completed her look. Boy! I can stare shamelessly at her back unblinkingly 🙂
7. JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ- Sashaying down the ramp at LFW Day-2, Jacqueline’s million dollar smile lit up the stage as much as the shimmery bridal lehenga that she donned. She was swaddled in a glittering lehenga, fully embroidered long sleeved choli and net dupatta, along with beautiful jewellery to complement her look. She walked the ramp for top shot designer Anju Modi.

Everyone has their favorite color which one is drawn to and some might not even realize unless they actually pay a close heed to it. Well of course, weather and events plays an important role to choose a color as well but responsive factor is one of the most important one.
Color also demonstrates our mood. Since we choose the color subconsciously, a lot of emotional and mental reflections are mirrored through our choices. In fact, several facts have shown that the choice of colors of the clothes we wear can reveal out strength and weakness as they are a part of our personality itself. Thanks to the outdoor shoot schedules, offshore promotional events or simply travelling to locales which offer moments of respite and tranquillity, airports become more or less the second homes of most B-town celebrities. And given that our Tinseltown celebs swaddle themselves in apparel that makes them the talk of the town (at times, in an unpleasant and unwanted way, unfortunately), keeping an eye of what they wore so as to borrow some practical ideas from those known for re- defining the rules of fashion, becomes pivotal. On that note, let us have a look at the B-town ladies who have the best airport attire 🙂
1. ANUSHKA SHARMA – Blend cuteness, effervescence, chirpiness and truckloads of energy and you will end up with Anushka Sharma. The lady is a livewire! She is often seen swaddled in the most comfy attire when making an appearance on airports. Not only are her clothes chic but also highly practical to borrow for women in the age group of 18-30. She sports denims of all sorts be it- ripped, skinny or colored and teams them with equally comfy tees. At times, she pulls on a jacket/hoodie that goes on not only with the look but also the weather which is highly practical an idea! I am borrowing some ideas, Anushka 🙂
2. DEEPIKA PADUKONE – The dimpled lass whose smile melts you in the twinkling of an eye makes heads turn for obvious reasons whenever she steps on the airport. Seen here is Deepika sporting an on-trend combination of white on denim, a bright lip paired with a black Birkin, knee-length boots, a floppy hat and oversized, sporty frames to accessorise. We are left drooling, Deepika!
3. KRITI SANON – A new kid on the block but a fashionista in the making- this is what comes to my mind as I see Kriti Sanon strut with panache at airports. Her attire too, is predominantly dominated by denims and comfy tees that make for trendy travel attire and who says tees are boring? Have a look at hers!
4. SONAM KAPOOR- One day I would definitely raid her closet! Even you would like to do so, won’t you? When everyone carries off comfy outfits, Sonam actually shows us what truly comfortable attire is. Seen here is Sonam draped in an orange-coloured off-shoulder maxi dress that not only looks trendy but also spells comfort. Given that India is predominantly hot for a major part of the year with even nights being uncomfortably humid at times, this maxi dress would make for a go-to outfit while commuting as it doesn’t stick to one’s body. If accessorised well, it makes for a chic outfit for a date/casual day out with pals.
5. KANGANA RANAUT – Here comes the lady whose clothes never wear her. Instead she wears her clothes with an attitude you cannot help but admire. Kangana Ranaut is seen here making her way out of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai wearing a maxi dress and a pair of boots with her hair tied in a bun. Perfect wear for women during summers while travelling, isn’t it?
6. ALIA BHATT- All of 21 and a name to reckon with in B-town, the young Bhatt girl is making all the right waves especially when it comes to styling. Alia’s dressing thankfully is reflective of her age. Young, energetic, vibrant and chirpy are the words that will come to your mind if you decide to have a sneak-peek into her style book. Seen here is Alia swaddled in a sky blue crop top, white ripped jeans and stipend shoes.
7. SHRADDHA KAPOOR- If there is anyone who has taught us how to wear casuals and look trendy in it round the clock, it has to be the petite Shraddha Kapoor. Swaddled in a pair of denims and comfy tees from time to time at the airport, Shraddha’s style does not scream for attention but rather comes across as a breath of fresh air reminding one that it is very much possible to enter the good books of the fashion police without robbing an ace designer’s exorbitant couture. Way to go, Shraddha. Keep it coming 🙂
They are trendy. They are chic. They are comfy. They can simply never go out of vogue given the myriad ways in which they come be it- long, short or pencil. No matter how old or young you are, there is an innate desire to swaddle oneself into one. It makes one ‘feel’ feminine and unlike most figure-hugging outfits which stick to one’s body and discomfit us especially during sweltering summers, they eliminate this woe altogether thanks to their design. Able to surmise which piece of clothing am I talking about? No? It’s none other than S-K- I-R- T-S 😀

Be it figure-hugging one-piece dresses or ethnic lehengas, Deepika brings her own charm to the attire she swaddles herself in. Here Deepika is seen wearing a shift skirt by Nimish Shah and Furla heels. She wore a pinkish lip colour and chunky golden studs with the outfit. Her outfit has always been easy-breezy and this look is no different. Impeccable for summers, isn’t it?
2. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- The Begum of Pataudi looks drop-dead gorgeous in this attire. She has donned a Carven top and DVF pencil skirt that accentuate her curves very well. Add to that, her radiant skin and luscious locks and we have a look that is going to be aped for long.
3. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- The stunning Priyanka Chopra sets temperatures soaring with this mini leather skirt and heels paired with a checked tee as she launched the cover of a fashion magazine, which features her. Trendy and sizzling simultaneously, isn’t it?
4. JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ- This Sri Lankan beauty opted for a striped flared Giorgio Armani maxi skirt paired with white top as she promoted her then impending flick- Kick. With her hair let loose and a million dollar smile, Jacqueline stole the show.
5. GENELIA D’SOUZA- If smiles could kill, she’d be accused of a serial-killer. Inarguably the lady with those most dazzling smile in Tinseltown, Genelia looks every guy’s dream girl in this short green miniskirt that she has teamed with a tank top and jacket. Sneakers complete the look that is the epitome of freshness, innocence and cuteness 🙂 Cuteness personified, indeed!
