Standout
The packaging is almost the same as the Revlon Kissable Lip Balm Stain..the retractable chubby pencils..the outer finish is though matte and darker..
They have the same peppermint smell and flavour as the Lip Balm Stains..though these Matte Balms and the Lacquer Balms have a blend of 3 butters..Shea, Mango and Coconut..which makes them more hydrating and moisturising..
Matte lipsticks and balms are not easily available across all brands..MAC makes good matte lipsticks..Revlon has a matte range..but very selected matte lipsticks are that good and hydrating too..these are matte with a velvety finish.
Revlon has almost nailed it with these Matte Balms..pigmentation- check, matte texture- check, staying power- check. Almost all good qualities of a matte lipstick/lip product..only thing is its not completely transfer proof..and cannot be layered for touch up..as it can go patchy..it needs to be removed and reapplied..
225 Sultry is a deep pink brown..supposedly MAC Twig dupe..but I am not really sure.
210 Unapologetic is a bright reddish coral pink..dupe of MAC Lipstick in Impassioned (Impassioned its slightly deeper) and Party Parrot – Limited Edition (Almost similar.. 95%)
I think Unapologetic is also the most loved shade in the Indian blogosphere..I personally love it ! Totally brightens up the face.. Also wore it HERE.
Here are the shades on me..
Lips look a little drier with Unapologetic coz Sultry was removed completely which left lips little dry..
And an FOTD with Unapologetic..
Pros:
1. Love the velvetty matte look.
2. Amazingly pigmented.
3. Staying power is pretty good.
4. All 8 shades are quite pretty..there is one for everyone..red lovers, pink lovers, especially Unapologetic is beauty bloggers’ favorite !
5. Hydrating..even though its matte.
6. Feels light on the lips.
Cons:
1. Not transfer proof.
2. Cannot be layered as goes patchy.
Overall, I am in love with the feel and texture of these matte balms..they score on all levels..Highly recommended !
Unapologetic is my most worn shade these days..I also love Audacious, Striking and Elusive..oh I think I love all the shades..the colors are all fab..

Normal/Dry – a moisture-balanced formula.
Shades: Ivory, Buff, Sand Beige, Nude, Natural Beige, Medium Beige, Fresh Beige, True Beige and Natural Tan
MRP: Rs.875/- for 30ml It comes in a pump dispensor packaging now..so no fuss with the bottle. It has a black pump and is easy to use..only the quantity that comes out is a little too much.
Fresh Beige is slightly lighter for me..Natural Beige or Medium Beige would have worked better..and also I have a combination skin..and I am trying out the one meant for Normal/Dry skin 😀 The coverage is pretty good..its medium to high as you build up. I really liked the staying power..it stayed whole day..and very minimal powder touch up required. And also its transfer proof..does not transfer on tissues or on anyone’s clothes :p
The Normal/Dry skin one also needs a moisturiser beneath for winters..but in summers, this will work well..Combination/Oily formula might give a matte finish and coverage. Here is my pic with only the foundation..no concealer or powder..
It photographs well..but if your flash is too bright, then you need to balance it with a powder having yellow tones..as it does have SPF 20. For the price tag and qty and being high coverage..its one of the best foundations in the market right now.
Pros: 1. Comes in 9 shades..only drugstore foundation that has 9 shades in India. 2. Comes in 2 formulas..for dry and oily skin. 3. Convenient easy pump packaging. 4. Easily available at all counters. 5. Does not transfer. 6. Provides high coverage. 7. Stays put all day long with hardly any coverage required. 8. Economical for the quantity and coverage and the benefits. 9. Has SPF 20. Cons: 1. Has silicones..but did not break me out. Overall, I would say..this foundation is the first one in India that women can choose according to their skin type and perfect shade match (with 9 shades available). And its long staying and gives good coverage too and it feels super light. Highly recommended ! Rating:

Elle 18 Makeup Range Review, Swatches, FOTD I had mentioned about the all new Elle 18 Makeup range HERE. Today I am doing a short review and look with the new Elle 18 range..
The Glow Foundation An every-day silky delicate texture foundation with SPF 8 and fragments of a gentle moisturizer that blends into your skin to give a bright radiant finish and is available in 4 shades. The glow foundation is your instant beauty fix right before your class presentation, college fest or even a simple party in the evening. Price: Rs. 150 (30 ml) Shades: Pearl, Coral, Marble and Shell
The foundation comes in a tube packaging..its easy to use and carry along..and blends really well..the coverage is sheer though..more like a tinted moisturiser..I got the shade Shell which is slightly yellow and darker for me..but on blending, it did not look dark or yellow..I think its pretty good for daily use..and at 150 bucks, I am not complaining. Rating: 3.5/5 The Glow Compact The Matte Compact is slim and easy to carry and it smoothens and moisturizes the skin at the same time protecting it from pollution. Whether it’s a party you are excited to go to or the college fest you want to be part of, the Glow Compact gives you that extra ‘oomph’ to dazzle everyone with your radiance. Price: Rs. 150 (9 gm) Shades: Pearl, Coral, Marble and Shell
I think this is the highlight if this range..the compact comes with a mirror and powder puff..and 9g is super huge qty and at a humble price of Rs.150/- ! It is silky, smooth in texture and keeps the skin matte. I got the shade Marble which suits me perfectly..and covers up for the slightly darker foundation when layered..I did highly recommend this ! Does not pinch your pockets at all and does its job amazingly well. Rating: 4.5/5 The Juicy Lip Balm A lip balm is the quintessential beauty must have for the young woman of today. The Elle 18 Juicy Balm is a non-sticky balm with Vitamin E, Olive, oil and Jojoba oil to ensure nourishing, soft and smooth lips. The juicy lip balm is the perfect combination of colour and care to ensure you have lip smacking pouts always. Price: Rs. 110 (9 ml) Shades: Pink, Red, Mauve, Berry, Beige and Peach
I got the shade Juicy Berry..it comes in a tube packaging with a slanted applicator..Juicy Berry is a nice coral pink shade..it comes up sheer..but does moisturise the lips well..good for some color and moisturisation in winters..since its in liquid form, it makes the lips look all luscious and juicy..I only wish it was a little more pigmented.
Rating: 3.75/5
The Elle 18 Colour Pop Liner Four new exciting shades have been added to the Colour Pop range to ensure that you never face a dull day in college. Brighten your eyes with these magnificent tones and wink your way to an A on your next assignment. Price: Rs. 75 (5 ml) Shades: Green, Brown, Grey and Blue
It comes in a small round glass bottle..just like the nail paints and eyeliner..which they have previously too. The bristles of the brush are not even and that makes application a little difficult..and its quiet sheer and needs a lot of layering for it to show up properly..pretty ok..good for someone who wants to try different colored liquid liners on a budget !
Rating: 3/5 Here are all the four products together..
I did a look with them..and I am quite surprised by the outcome..coz it looked pretty good..this can also be a look using only 5 products..I used the above four Elle 18 products and just some kohl on the waterline..thats it..
I love how the range is super affordable..and perfect for college going girls ! Beauty on a budget ? Check out Elle 18..I am sure you would love some of these.. I hope you liked the look..and do let me know which Elle 18 product is your favorite ? I think I would go with the compact, followed by the Lip balm..what about you ? P.S: PR Samples. Honest Review.
What the Company claims: Lakmé CC stands for Complexion Care cream. It combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes.
Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF 20), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage.
MRP: Rs.250/- for 30g
Shades Available: Beige and Bronze
How to use:
Ingredients:
It comes in a nice attractive gold and pink tube packaging..and it can be seen and felt that the quantity is good enough too..it does not squeeze inside the cap and is very much travel friendly.
It has a light floral smell..and one needs only a pea sized amount of this..and the coverage it provides is pretty good..much better than other tinted moisturisers in the market..I would say more than Maybelline, Revlon and Garnier BB and almost equal to the Ponds and L’oreal BB..here I compared them all 😀
Its not that moisturising..and tends to give a matte look..oily skinned beauties would love this..I feel a need to use a separate moisturiser..if I don’t, it clings to dry patches.
And the shade Beige is a little lighter for me..in this pic below I have used Beige..Bronze is slightly darker for me..I really feel there should have been one more mid shade in between the two and that would have worked perfectly for me..Beige would suit NC 30-35 and Bronze would suit NC 40-42. The mid people should have been thought of..are you listening Lakme ??
Pros:
1. Lovely packaging.
2. Economical.
3. Pretty good coverage.
4. A good enough quantity.
5. Gives a semi matte finish..great for oily skinned girls.
6. Stays for 5-6 hours after which a slight touch up is needed.
7. Has SPF 20..though not much..but little added protection.
Cons:
1. Cannot skip a moisturiser..clings to dry patches.
2. Beige is lighter and Bronze is darker..a mid shade is surely required !
Overall I would say its pretty good..and a boon for girls with oily skin…I guess Bronze would be a shade high in demand..and would suit most of the girls..a perfect daily use CC cream to your rescue. Recommended !

Revlon Photoready BB Cream, Photoready 3D Volume Mascara and Photoready Kajal Review, Swatches, FOTD
Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector SPF 30
What the Company claims: A lightweight, multi-benefit Beauty Balm that combines skincare, makeup, and sunscreen into one step. – HYDRATES like moisturizer – SMOOTHES like primer – COVERS like foundation – BLURS FLAWS like concealer – PROTECTS with SPF 30 like sunscreen
EXPERT TIPS:
Dab on cheeks, nose, and forehead, and blend outward. Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream™ may be worn alone on bare skin or over your regular skin care for additional moisture. Three versatile shades will adapt to fit your individual skin tone.
Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.550/- for 30ml
It comes in a silver flat tube packaging with a black cap..and a nozzle dispensor..
Its quite thick like a foundation and is very moisturising..would work for people with dry skin..for oily skin, this would turn out to be rich…coverage is pretty ok..suitable for daily use when you don’t need heavy coverage.
It has SPF 30 and many sunscreen ingredients..it also smells a little like sunscreen..stays on for 4-5 hours after which needs touch up..since I am combination skin..my T-zone gets oily and needs touch up.
I have the shade 020 Light/Medium which is a good match for me..
Pros:
1. Nice packaging. 2. Has SPF 30 3. Perfect for dry skin. 4. Travel friendly. 5. Good for daily use..and covers sunscreen needs too.
Cons:
1. Rich for oily skin. 2. Expensive compared to other BB Creams in the market. 3. Coverage could have been better.
Overall I would say its nice to try if you have dry skin and do not need much coverage..otherwise can skip.

Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
What the Company claims: Get glamorous, big volume lashes from every angle Lashes look 100% more magnified, multiplied, amplified*. Award winning. *with two coats
Unique ultra reflective Mirror Sheen formula smoothes, reflects and magnifies every lash for dramatic, professional looking lashes.
Lash finding brush with rounded tip easily reaches every single lash for maximum dimension. Available in 2 waterproof shades: Blackest Black and Blackened Brown
Also available in 3 non–waterproof shades: Blackest Black, Black and Blackened Brown
EXPERT TIPS
How to get glamorous, big volume lashes: 1) Apply the mascara to the upper lashes from root to tip 2) Apply once again in order to build more volume and length 3) Use specially designed lash finding brush tip to capture and fan out every lash
Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.695/- for 10ml
The tube and wand comes separately in the packaging. As you can see the white wand..bristles are separate and dense.
The same way as the wand is..it separates each lash and coats each lash well..and also lengthens and combs my lashes..the wand is flexible and easy to use and get the right amount of mascara on it..the blackest black is quite a rich black color..and this stays on for whole day..and is waterproof…but did not give much pain to remove.
It does not weigh down my lashes and also gives a little curl and holds onto the curl if you have used an eyelash curler.
I really like this..I am also asked by a few if I am wearing false lashes when I have this mascara on 😀
Only issue is if 2nd coat is applied after the first dries, it starts clumping at times. So you need to apply 2 coats (if you want) quickly and let it dry later. And it feels a little dry on the lashes. And it sure is a little expensive.

Revlon Photoready Kajal 002 Blue Nile Intense Eye Liner + Brightener Evening Opulence Collection What the Company claims: Intensify and Highlight for a Smoldering Look

MRP: Rs.395/- for 2.4g
Blue Nile has a creamy ink blue on one end and a creamy white on the other..I am not a fan of such blues..they look pathetic on me :/
I liked the white for the waterline though I would prefer nudes as they are more subtle..can used white at times for a few looks..
Both ends are creamy and do not tug or pull..the blue stays whole day on the upper lashline with minimal smudging..on lower lashline it wears off in 5-6 hours. When blue is used on the lower lashline, it mixes with the white in the waterline and does not look good..I would prefer using the darker color on the upper lashline only.
I would like to try the Black or Emerald (for the nude liner side). Blue is not my color.

Here is my before and after with all the three products..Revlon Photoready BB Cream in Light/Medium, Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black and Revon Photoready Kajal in Blue Nile..
Before-After
Have you tried the Revlon Photoready Range ? Your thoughts ?
So after the first day of college look, time for the college fest look..well it would not be plain and simple..but obviously a little spunky..what we are doing here is..adding a touch of smokiness..
The basic steps would be the same..as in previous look..
1. At first, cleanse your face well and follow it up with a moisturiser and suncreen. 2. Take a pea sized amount of the Maybelline BB Cream and dot it all over your face and a little more at your problem areas..and blend well with your finger tips. 3. If you have oily skin, you can set it with the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. 4. Line your upper waterline (its called tightlining) and lower waterline with the Maybelline Colossal Kajal..and smudge a little with your ring finger. 5. And a tinted lip balm..any of the four Maybelline Baby Lips..I am using Rose Addict here. 6. Additionally, line your upper lashline with the Maybelline Colossal Kajal..and smudge it with a smudger brush extending it outwards..and forming a wing.. 7. Darken the kohl on the lower waterline. 8. Curl your lashes and apply Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara. 9. Hint of the Maybelline Colorsensational gloss in Hooked on Pink on the centre of your lips..
That’s it 😀
I hope you like the look..and enjoy your college days and fest..

4. Line your upper waterline (its called tightlining) and lower waterline with the Maybelline Colossal Kajal..and smudge a little with your ring finger.
5. And a tinted lip balm..any of the four Maybelline Baby Lips..I am using Rose Addict here.

I showed you the L’Oreal Paris L’Or Sunset Collection HERE..here is the first look I tried..
I love the plummy brown shade in the Eau De Rose quad..and they have given a nice easy to follow tutorial behind the quad…I have used the same..shade no.1 the plummy brown on the lid..2 in the crease, 3 in the outer corner and highlight with 4..I also used the 4th on my cheek bones for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners..and the plummy brown on the outer half of lower lash line.
Lined with Superliner..an extended wing..and used the L’oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara..and finished with the Color Riche Lipstick in Pink Passion..
I am sorry for the flash..coz it got too dark by the time I clicked the pics..look 2 coming up in daylight 🙂
And the lipstick is not so bright and neonish..as its looking in the pics with flash..
I had mentioned about the launch of Lakme Limited Edition Absolute Pop Tints Collection HERE. The colors are all summery and fresh and with a neon touch..
What the Company claims: Lakme Absolute Lip Tints include 8 pop shades. These thick creamy pencils deliver rich color and unbelievable shine in just a stroke.
Tip:
This is the best collection for the ones who want to look extra special this summer.
Why to choose Lakmé Absolute Lip Tints?
Rich color delivery
Unique 8 Pop Shades
Limited edition collection
It comes in a black swivel packaging with a plastic cap…and limited edition engraved on it..and the shade name behind..I did not like the packaging much..the plastic cap is fragile..and cannot even identify the shades if you have more..
Its quite creamy..but not too balmy kinds..thick enough..but needs a few swipes to cover up pigmented lips well. It does not have any particular smell or taste..but does not glide well on dry lips..
It takes some time to settle on the lips..and within half an hour or so..its like settled well all over with a glossy sheen..the glossiness goes away in a hour or so..but lips feel moisturised and comfortable..and the stain stays for 3-4 hours..
Pink Sorbet is a light wearable candy pink with some shimmer..not too neonish or bright..its a fun summery shade..the shimmer is hardly visible..it looks frosty in the hand swatch but quiet wearable on lips..I quite like the shade..
Here is it on me..sorry for the flash..it got too dark by the time I clicked this pic :/
Pros:
1. Quite pigmented.
2. Comfortable on lips.
3. Stain stays for 3-4 hours..after the glossiness and color starts fading.
4. All bright pinks and oranges..neon colors..good for the young crowd.
5. Does not bleed.
6. Travel friendly..it does not mess up in the bag..as its not too balmy and soft kinds.
7. Settles to a smoother finish after half an hour..
Cons:
1. Does not glide well on dry lips.
2. Expensive..if the colors were targeted for the young crowd..the pricing should have been lower too..Revlon is 200 bucks lesser and offers 0.7g more.
3. I expected it to stay even longer.
4. Packaging is not good.
5. Limited Edition.
Overall these are nice..pigmented and glossy and has fun summery shades..but I would have definitely preferred a lesser price..and these are limited edition..so if you have a favorite shade..go grab it now..I am not sure if I would repurchase..but you can have one in your collection..

I mentioned about the launch and swatches of all three shades of the Kiehl’s BB Cream HERE
Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream More than a BB Cream. Instantly perfects. Visibly corrects the appearance of skin tone irregularities with daily use. With SPF 50 PA+++ Available in 3 shades: Fair, Light & Natural.
MRP: Rs.3200/- for 30ml
Active Ingredients in it are Vitamin C, Glycerin and Natural pigments.
Ingredients:
It comes in small sleek white tube with a flip cap..comes in 3 shades..there is not much of a difference between Natural and Light..
Only a pea sized amount is needed..and it gives amazing coverage..not full..but I did say much better than any tinted moisturisers or BB Creams in Indian market..
I love the fact that it has SPF 50 PA+++ and I do not need a separate sunscreen…unless of course where I am going to remain out for long..I did apply an additional sunscreen..
I have the one in Light shade and it works perfect for me..
Here is me with only Kiehl’s BB Cream and nothing else..
Pros:
1. Quite light weight. 2. Good coverage. 3. SPF 50 PA+++ 4. Stays for 6-7 hours. 5. I do not need a separate moisturiser under this for now in summers..this alone works well…so no separate 3 things needed..only this and I am sorted. 6. Pores appear smaller. 7. High content of Vitamin C also helps in fading scars and improving skin tone..I saw some difference with regular use..along with Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Concentrate.
Cons:
1. Very expensive for 30ml. 2. Only 3 shades available..not much options for darker skin tones. 3. Kiehl’s is not available in all cities..though you can order them to be delivered.
Overall I would say I do love this..and this works out amazingly well for me..especially in summers..I need only this..and no 2-3 different products…but I would definitely agree this is expensive for daily use..
