6 Best Hair Oils for Hair and Scalp Health in India 2021

6 Best Hair Oils for Hair and Scalp Health in India 2021

Hi guys,

Healthy and strong hair is what we all desire, and currently with the lockdown and all the stress, not only me but everyone around I know is facing severe hair fall.

Regular oiling helps with blood circulation and in nourishing the scalp. Oiling is all the more important if you have coloured or chemically treated hair. It is very important to choose a good hair oil that helps you with strengthening the hair and giving it that desired shine.

Hence I have been researching for good hair oils and these 6 are the best in the market currently…

1. Mother Sparsh 30 Herbs Hair Oil: A concoction of 30 Herbs & Ayurvedic Oils like Amla, Brahmi, Bhringraj (strengthens the hair follicles while maintaining hair’s elasticity, stimulates blood flow in the scalp which expedites hair growth), Kadipatta (helps reduce follicular damage and the protein components in Karipatta infuses hair with protein, making the strands stronger), Jatamansi (potent hair tonic, it helps fight free radicals & helps revive hair from surface and thermal damage. Jatamansi has also been said to aid with hair loss due to alopecia & other scalp problems), Mulethi, Alsi (Packed with essential components like omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins B1 & E, it balances the pH of the scalp & regulates the oil production of the scalp, leaving you with stronger & softer strands), Harad, Lavender, Rosemary and much more! It acts as a hair vitalizer while working on enhancing hair density & stimulating hair growth.

Few tips on using these or any hair oils:

  • Make sure your scalp is not dirty when you oil hair
  • Massage the scalp and each section of the scalp really well to boost blood circulation
  • Using a damp hot towel after oiling for 15-20 mins helps in better absorption and penetration from the steam
  • For best results, keep the oil overnight. If not possible, at least for 1-2 hours before washing.
  • Never pull or tug on the hair, and massage very gently while oiling, washing, or drying the hair.

Apart from regular oiling, make sure you have a good intake of iron and protein, which will make a huge difference if you are suffering from hair fall. Also, try to add a multivitamin with iron and biotin after consulting your doctor.

Good sleep and less stress are also of utmost importance, try and meditate 5-10 minutes a day if not more.

Skin and hair need a lot of nutrition and any deficiency in our body directly reflects in our skin and hair first.

I think I was just plain lazy this year especially the past 3-4 months. I will try and take more care of my skin and hair the next year as I just turned 30 🙂 It is all the more essential for me now to stop being lazy and give my skin some TLC.

What about you? What are your 2017 skin & hair favourites? We will cover makeup next.

Himalaya Herbals Anti-Hair Fall Range Review : #4FabulousHair

Himalaya Herbals Anti-Hair Fall Range Review : #4FabulousHair

Hi guys,

Many of us are facing hair fall with our current lifestyle and water. Diet is something which we have to take care of, to reduce hair fall. If we lack iron/folic acid, proteins, water/zinc/omega-3, we need to add them in our diet through food or multi-vitamins.

The external factors like dirt, harsh shampoos, hard water, dandruff, etc. which lead to hair fall can be controlled with a proper range of hair care and correct use.

Himalaya Herbals has an entire anti-hair fall range and I gave that a try..

There are four steps in their range and four products i.e. oil, shampoo, conditioner and cream.

Steps

Anti-Hair Fall Oil

Claims: Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Hair Oil prevents hair fall and stimulates hair growth. It is enriched with the goodness of Bhringaraja and Amalaki which strengthen the root shafts and prevent hair fall.

Key ingredients:

Bhringaraja is rich in phytochemicals like eclalbosaponins and wedelolactone which help promote hair growth and strengthen the hair root, and keeping hair healthy.

Amalaki, a natural hair tonic used extensively in Ayurveda, is an effective ingredient for treating the hair and scalp. It strengthens hair follicles and promotes hair growth.

Directions for use: Part your hair and apply Anti-Hair Fall Hair Oil on the scalp. Massage the scalp gently in a circular motion using your fingertips so that the oil is absorbed into the scalp. Leave for an hour or more before washing.

MRP: Rs.100/- for 100ml

Ingredients:

Anti- Hair Fall Shampoo

Claims: Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo is a breakthrough 2-in-1 formula that reduces hair fall and provides nourishment to hair shafts. It also conditions and improves your hair texture to reduce hair fall due to breakage. The herbs Butea Frondosa and Bhringaraja stimulate hair follicle growth and are effective in strengthening hair roots and controlling hair fall.

Key ingredients:

Butea Frondosa or ‘flame of the forest’ is native to India and Southeast Asia. It strengthens hair and helps promote hair growth.

Bhringaraja is traditionally used in Ayurveda for hair growth and hair dyeing. It nourishes the hair root, improves hair texture and reduces hair fall.

Directions for use: Gently massage the shampoo into wet hair and scalp. Leave for two to three minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

Effective for all hair types. Safe to use on artificially colored or permed hair.

MRP: Rs.130/- for 200ml

Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner

Claims: Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner nourishes, fortifies, and improves the texture of hair, making it smooth, soft, and healthy. Enriched with protein-rich herbs like Bringaraja and Chickpea, it stimulates hair follicle growth and effectively strengthens hair strands and roots, helping control hair fall.

Key ingredients:

Bhringaraja

Butea Frondosa (Palasha)

Chickpea, a rich, natural source of protein, effectively nourishes hair, making it healthy and strong.

Directions for use: After shampooing, gently apply Himalaya Anti-Hair fall Conditioner along the length of wet hair from base to tip. Leave for two minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

For best results, use in combination with Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Oil, Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo, and Anti-Hair Fall Hair Cream.

MRP: Rs.130/- for 200ml

Anti-Hair Fall Cream

Claims: Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Cream is a unique, daily-use formula which reduces hair fall and strengthens hair follicles. The goodness of essential herbs like Bhringaraja and Amla nourish hair from the roots, help reduce hair fall, improve hair growth, and strengthen hair follicles.

Key ingredients:

Bhringaraja

Amla

Directions for use: Massage Anti-Hair Fall Cream gently into the scalp using a circular motion. Use regularly before and after shampooing to reduce hair fall and maintain healthy hair.

For best results, shampoo hair with Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo.

MRP: Rs.80/- for 100ml

The cream can be used before or after hair wash i.e. as a deep conditioner. I either oil my hair if I have an hour before I shampoo or I use the cream as a pre treatment, 10-15 minutes before washing my hair.

The oil is very light in texture and non-sticky as claimed, it gets absorbed easily and is easy to wash off as well. It does help a bit with hair fall, I will have to use it more regularly to see visible results in hair growth though.

Both the shampoo and conditioner are white in colour and have a soft, floral smell. They are very light weight and do not weigh down the hair or make them flat.

Shampoo foams and cleans the scalp well, and the conditioner does moisturize the ends and give them enough hydration. But if you have very dry hair and need extra hydration towards the ends, I would suggest using the cream regularly.

The cream is very rich and moisturizing, it’s perfect for dry hair. I love using it as a pre-treatment, so that it doesn’t weigh down my hair and yet I get it’s benefits.

Overall I am loving this range and I definitely see a visible difference in my hair fall during and post hair wash, plus regularly too. The hair I see each time I comb my hair, is reduced to a great extent.

If you are looking for a good anti-hair fall hair care range, definitely try out this new Himlaya Herbals Range.

Have you tried the Himalaya Herbals Anti- Hair Fall Range yet?

DIY Vegan Hair Mask for Soft & Healthy Hair

DIY Vegan Hair Mask for Soft & Healthy Hair

Guest Post by Louisa

We all know that eating foods which are rich in vitamins and minerals is essential to achieve healthy looking hair. But you can also give your strands a boost by applying natural fruits and oils on your hair. See how easy it is with my simple vegan hair mask.

As traditional shampoos contain harsh detergents and chemicals, I only use the best organic shampoos and conditioners to make sure I’m using gentle cleansing agents made with natural ingredients. This way I’m not undoing any of the goodness delivered by my hair mask treatment.

Avocado

Using avocado in a hair mask is a great way of infusing your hair and scalp with moisture. It has so many beneficial properties they are difficult to count, and include potassium, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

If you’ve noticed any new hair takes a long time to grow, it could be due to a nutritional deficiency. Avocado is the perfect way to nourish hair cells, strengthen roots and encourage new hair growth.

Banana

Adding banana to a hair mask is a great way to rejuvenate your hair. They are as good for your hair as they are for you to eat, and can help soften hair and protect its natural elasticity.

Bananas deliver Vitamin A, B, C, E, potassium, zinc, iron and magnesium. These nutrients can help repair and condition hair, making it softer and more manageable, as well as helping to protect from damage caused by heat styling or harsh weather.

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk has excellent moisturising properties, and acts as a natural detangler. It contains healthy fats which can be beneficial for stimulating hair growth, as well as repairing hair that feels dull or damaged.

Massaging coconut milk into your scalp can help improve blood circulation and promote healthier roots. It also has natural antifungal properties which can fight Malassezia, one of the main causes of dandruff.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is one of the best multitasking hair care products around. It can help strengthen hair, condition your scalp and even stimulate new hair growth. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and lauric acid, and effectively penetrates the hair shaft to deliver these nutrients.

Applying coconut oil before exposing your hair to heat or chemical treatments can help protect it from drying out, and also acts as a natural sunscreen. It’s the perfect ingredient to use in a moisturising hair mask, and will make it easier to brush out any tangles and control frizz.

Olive Oil

Olive oil contains oleic acid, palmitic acid and squalene, which are natural emollients with softening qualities. Many products contain synthetic versions of emollients, but they aren’t as effective in penetrating the hair shaft to help retain natural moisture.

Undernourished hair can be hard to style, and often breaks when you’re trying to work through tangles. Olive oil can smooth cuticles and split ends, which helps to reduce frizz and makes hair more manageable.

Ingredients

– 1/2 Avocado

– 1/2 Banana

– 50 ml Coconut Milk

– 2 tbsp Coconut Oil

– 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Method

Blend all the ingredients together until you have a very smooth mixture. This will make it easier to spread throughout your hair, and won’t leave any annoying clumps behind when you wash it out later.

Apply the mixture all over your hair and scalp, making sure your skin is saturated so it can benefit from all the essential nutrients. As the ends of your hair are driest, you can start at the tips and work your way up.

Leave the hair mask on for 15 to 20 minutes. You can put a towel over your shoulders to avoid getting messy, and then use a shower cap to avoid any dripping.

Wash your hair with a natural shampoo, making sure you thoroughly rinse out the mixture. It’s best to use lukewarm water to protect your skin’s natural oils, and seal in its moisture.

You can use your usual conditioner as well, and your strands should feel soft and easy to detangle. By infusing it with protein, vitamins, minerals and fatty acids, you should have noticeably healthier looking hair.

How To Use A Shine Spray Serum

How To Use A Shine Spray Serum

Hi guys,

Today I am talking about a shine spray serum and I have also created this easy 2 minute everyday hairstyle and shown how I’ve used this spray-on serum.

I am using the BBLUNT Spotlight Hair Polish for Instant Shine.

We ensure that you’ll never find a dull moment! This hair polish gives your hair all the gloss it needs to get its shine back. Let your hair shine and get ready to step into the spotlight, healthy shine guaranteed.

  • Dull and lifeless hair get instant shine, with a glossy and smooth finish
  • Provides protection and reinforcement against pollutants and adverse Indian weather
  • Provitamin B5, vitamin E and silk proteins specially created for Indian hair

3 reasons to have it in your bag:

Own that gloss, like a boss – anytime, anywhere

Instantly sets your hair in place – holds any hairstyle firmly!

First ever spray-on serum – you don’t have to get your hands greasy, just spray it!

How to use?

To say hello to maximum shine with minimum fuss, all you have to do is shake, spray & step into the spotlight. Use it after ironing your hair for best results so that you get that sleek finished look. Remember to use it on dry hair always.

MRP: Rs.550/- for 150ml (Buy HERE)

Ingredients:

It comes in a bright blue spray can packaging with a transparent cap.

I like the fact that all BBLUNT products are colour safe and have been made especially for Indian hair. This product is to be used only on dry hair and at the end of the hairstyle. Also make sure you do not use it on the roots.

It gives a sleek, glossy look and high shine to the hair. No frizziness, no dryness. Dry hair usually appears dull and lacks shine. When you straighten your hair or create a particular hairstyle, you would want frizz free, shiny hair. That is when this shine spray serum comes handy.

It is very economical and travel friendly too. I love the mini versions of BBLUNT products and this Spotlight Hair Polish also comes in a mini version, which is perfect to keep in your bag and travel with.

I created this 2 minute half-bun or ‘hun’ hairstyle which is perfect for college.

I washed my hair with the BBLUNT Perfect Balance Shampoo and Conditioner the previous day. Take the top half of your hair and secure it with a band, just like a half pony.

Twist the pony and wrap it around itself into a bun. Secure with a few bobby pins and gently tug to create more volume. Keep some strands of the hair ahead.

Finish with the BBLUNT Spotlight Hair Polish.

And we are done.

Easy, peasy and quick, the shine spray serum helps give the hair a glossy look and tames the flyaways and baby hair.

Satthwa Premium Hair Oil for Hair Fall Control & Hair Growth Review

Satthwa Premium Hair Oil for Hair Fall Control & Hair Growth Review

Hi guys,

I have been using this Satthwa Premium Hair Oil since quite some time now, around 3 months. I had mentioned it on my Snapchat and few of you had asked me to review it. Also this was a part of last month’s favourites, see HERE

Claims: What is the oil made up of? The oil is made from a blend of 9 different oil which especially formulated to get into the roots and give second life to hair. No chemicals are used in the oil. What can the oil do? Within the 1st-2nd wash after use, you can feel the difference in the health of your hair (Soft and shine). In a month of use, it reduces hair fall and eliminate dandruff within 3-4 months it will help with regrowth of hair. Even for someone who does not have any hair problems, it will help improve the over quality and health of the hair and hair follicles. Read more here www.satthwa.com

Grapeseed oil which delays skin aging. Emu oil stimulates dormant hair follicles and helps in new hair growth. E.V Olive oil treats dry and damaged hair.

MRP: Rs.599/- for 100ml

Buy on Flipkart or Paytm

I always mix a few different oils when I have to oil my hair. This was a readymade mix of 9 different oils including Emu oil which is the main oil here for hair growth.

I tested this product for a long time, coz I definitely saw results in 2-3 uses in terms of softness and shine, and after one month use, saw some difference in my hair fall too. It was reduced to a great extent. But in terms of hair growth, the growing phase takes time and hence I am reviewing it now after 3 months.

It comes in this small plastic bottle with a white flip cap packaging. The oil is not very runny or thin, but neither too goopy or thick. It’s the perfect consistency and easy to use. Also the flip cap shuts tight and it doesn’t leak.

I love how each oil has a different benefit and a blend of all is giving all the benefits together. That makes this oil a blend of a lot of different vitamins and nutrients and you don’t need anything else additionally when using this.

It also helps in dandruff and greying of hair, along with hair fall and promoting hair growth. I usually suffer from dandruff in the Dec-Jan winter period coz of dry scalp and dryness in general. I have already seen some difference in my dandruff with this, I am pretty sure this will help keep the dandruff at bay this winter.

I do not have a lot of hair fall and still saw difference with this. I even made my husband try this and he saw difference in his hair fall too.

The only con would be the smell, it’s not very pleasing. But then this is 100% chemical free and only a blend of oils with no other chemicals, parabens or artificial fragrance in it. So can’t complain 😀

Also I know this is slightly on the expensive side, but some of the oils in this are expensive and not easily available. So anyway you cannot make this same blend at home and/or you will need to buy 9 different oils separately.

Since this works, the price is justifiable. And I totally recommend it! Many of you have been asking me a hair remedy or product for hair fall or promoting hair growth, look no further as we have found the perfect product here.

Dr Batra’s Hair Oil Enriched With Jojoba Review

Dr Batra’s Hair Oil Enriched With Jojoba Review

By Pallavi

Hii Lovelies,

Hair oils are my absolute favorite. You might think that I am blessed with really great hair. But no I am not. I don’t have great hair but I always keep working on them in order to have great hair like Bhumika. You know sometimes you are blessed with great hair and sometimes you have to really work hard to get that. Similar is the case with me too. I have been pampering my hair with hair oil and hair masks even DIY hair masks since ages. During my hair care journey I have tried a number of hair oils. But I have never tried anything from the house of Dr. Batra. And we all are well aware of the hair care products of Dr. Batra especially their hair fall products. So, one day when I saw this hair oil at my nearest store then I bought this one without giving any second thoughts and thus here follows the review of the same.

Price : INR 175 for 200 ml (Buy HERE)

Directions to use : Tilt the bottle sideways and take some oil in your palm. Rub your palms to warm the oil and apply it on your scalp by lightly massaging the oil all over your scalp and covering the hair ends too. For best results, use along with Dr Batra’s shampoo.

Ingredients:

What it Claims : Dr Batra’s – Jojoba Hair Oil Jojoba’s excellent moisturizing property restores the texture, glow & luster of hair naturally. Dr Batra’s hair oil enriched with jojoba extracts, prevents tangles, dryness, brittleness and even split ends.

My View:

Dr. Batra Hair oil comes in a medium sized plastic bottle packaging. The bottle is really light weight and easy to carry with. The packaging has the product related information and other claims mentioned on the packaging itself which is really informative for all the consumers. The bottle has a small hole at the top through which the oil comes out.

This oil from the house of Dr. Batra is infused with jojoba oil which is really beneficial for your hair. It is incredibly lightweight and does not feel sticky or heavy on your hair. It spread easily and has a very soothing calming effect not only on hair but also on the nervous system. This oil is also very light in weight and spreads very easily on hair. It nourishes the hair cuticles without a feeling of sticky or heavy. The oil has a very mild and soothing smell of jojoba oil which is not at all strong and I am sure won’t bother sensitive noses.

Since the oil is so lightweight, you can easily apply it overnight and then wash off your hair in the morning. You hair won’t feel the normal chip-chip of any usual hair oil. And once you wash your hair you can still feel the bounce and the healthy feeling of your hair. Also, this oil is meant to take care of any scalp infections or irritations if any. Thus usage of will ensure that your scalp remain free of any kind of scalp infections and thus promotes the healthy growth of your hair.

You require a very little amount of hair oil and thus a single bottle will last you for months. A single 100 ml. Bottle lasted me for 2 months. So, that way it is good economical hair oil.

Good about Dr Batra’s Hair Oil Enriched With Jojoba

1. Good packaging

2. Huge quantity

3. Makes hair soft and bouncy

4. No sticky or heavy feeling on hair

5. Single bottle lasts long

6. No hair fall witnessed

Bad about Dr Batra’s Hair Oil Enriched With Jojoba

1. Sensitive noses can be bothered by the smell

Rating –

Packaging – 4.5/5

Texture – 5/5

Effects – 4.5/5

Overall – 4.8/5

Editor’s Note: This sounds really interesting.

Touch Nature Lemongrass Essential Oil Review, Benefits, How to Use

Touch Nature Lemongrass Essential Oil Review, Benefits, How to Use

By Nidhal

They smell heavenly. They are perfect pick-me- up items to uplift your senses and lull you into a soothing slumber. Popularly used in aromatherapy sessions, essential oils, EO for short are highly concentrated, potent and therapeutic oils that need to be necessarily blended with a carrier/base oil for external use (and they are strictly not meant for internal uses). A base oil is simply any oil that mellows down the potency of the essential oil to the extent that its goodness isn’t reduced but it becomes conducive for use on skin.

The bottom line- Always, without fail, dilute essential oils in a base (or more than one) oil such as- virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil (EVOO in short), virgin sesame oil and so on and so forth for use on skin/hair. Also, add only a few “DROPS’ and not teaspoons/tablespoons of the essential oil into the carrier/base oil. You stand the risk of scalding your skin if you add more than a few drops of essential oil to the base oil.

With these basic ideas in my, I zeroed in on TOUCH NATURE NEPAL LEMONGRASS ESSENTIAL OIL one fine afternoon as I was strolling the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal in 2014 🙂 The people are the epitome of courtesy , warmth and civility by the way. Coming back to the topic, let us begin with how the essential oil fared for me and how I used it for my skin and hair.

PRICE – 350 INR for 10ml (Buy similar from Soulflower HERE)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Dilute in a base/carrier oil of your choice, depending on your skin’s condition and use topically.

INGREDIENTS- Pure lemongrass essential oil

WHAT IT CLAIMS- Lemongrass (Cymbopogon) is a perennial plant in the Poaceae grass family and is native to the tropical and subtropical area of India, Cambodia, Indonesia, China, Guatemala, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. It flourishes where the soil is slightly sandy and the climate moist and war. Lemongrass essential oil has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic, anti-oxidant, astringent and diuretic properties.

MY EXPERIENCE-

Packed in a minuscule glass jar with a plastic cap on top and a layer of plastic covering with already perforated holes inset, the packaging of the essential oil is simple, spillage-free and travel-friendly. Yes, the provision of the double layer packaging makes it easy to carry without the fear of leakage. However, I wish a dropper was furnished so that drawing out the oil would have been easier. So, that is my input.

The oil has a riveting aroma. It uplifts you truly! The oil does not have a greasy/oily/thick texture but is fairly runny (as I see). One is not supposed to put it on one’s skin without dilution hence, I never risked doing the same.

FOR MY SKIN – I blend 3-4 drops of this lemongrass essential oil into two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and then, massage it on my skin especially after a bath for that ensures better absorption 🙂 Result? My skin feels hydrated, smoothed out and softened throughout the day besides emanating a lovely aroma that keeps me fresh

FOR MY HAIR- I mix 2 drops of this lemongrass essential oil with 2 tablespoons of virgin sesame oil (which is slightly warm for I prefer hot oil massages). Never mix the oils and then heat the resulting mixture. Do not even heat virgin sesame oil too much else or it may emit flames of smoke, indicating that all its goodness is going in for a toss. Simply heat the virgin sesame oil for a minute or two on LOW FLAME and then after a minute or two, add 2 drops of lemongrass EO. Mix well and apply on your scalp.

Keep it overnight and then apply a mask (optional step) the next morning, shampoo and condition as usual. You will end with shiny, hydrated and softened hair which I did  Oh yes, as far as my experience goes, I find it suitable for use by all skin types except those with excessively dry skin. All hair types can go for it.

GOOD-

1. Riveting aroma. It sends one’s olfactory senses into a tizzy. In one word- Heavenly 

2. Well-packaged

3. Well-priced. Most essential oils are within this range so, one is not being overcharged.

4. Perfect for aromatherapy sessions.

5. Can be added to hair masks with a foul odour to camouflage the smell.

6. Can be added to face masks in order to elicit a soul-stirring aroma.

7. Imparts a glow. I have added a few drops of the same to extra virgin olive oil and used on my face and neck (which is dry)every night for two months. Hence, can vouch for it. Please note, I said “drops”.

BAD-

1. Very difficult to find. I have not been able to find it in India. It is obvious since it is made in Nepal but even if searched online, one is unable to find to find it.

Wella EIMI Style Range Root Shoot, Dry Me, Perfect Me Review

Wella EIMI Style Range Root Shoot, Dry Me, Perfect Me Review

Hi guys,

Wella has introduced few new products in their EIMI Styling Range and I have been trying them since the past few days, here are my thoughts on it.

About the Wella EIMI Range: The EIMI range has a product to suit everyone’s individual style, whether they desire a volumizing boost, wild textures, dazzling shine or a smooth and silky finish. Expressing individuality has never seen so easy.  Individual style seekers can pick from 31 styling essentials including four new exciting products to create the style the best suits them – whether they want wild texture, dazzling shine, a volume boost or a smooth and sleek finish.

I love the matte grey and white cap packaging, with the EIMI written with different color on each product. The best part about this entire range is the fragrance, it smells absolutely amazing!!

NEW & HERO Dry Me dry shampoo for creating head turning volume and matte texture for any individual style. Those wanting to create some head turning volume and matte texture can try Dry Me, the new revolutionary dry shampoo.

HOLD LEVEL 2
Create volume and a manageable matte texture to achieve your look. Refresh your hair and absorb oil with this formula with Tapioca starch.

HOW TO USE:  Shake me, spray me, style me. Apply evenly on dry hair, leave in and brush through.

MRP: Rs.900/- for 180ml

It’s a normal, tall spray bottle and is very easy to use. It does not leave too much of white powder residue on the scalp unlike other dry shampoos. It creates an immediate bounce and volume. I am so in love with the way it smells.

I am very lazy when it comes to washing hair and dry shampoos are a staple for me. I have tried 6-7 different brands of dry shampoos and I can easily say, this is by far the best dry shampoo I have tried!

NEW & HERO Root Shot means you are just one shot away from high precision, weightless root lift.

HOLD LEVEL 2
Perfect root lift is only a shot away with this mousse designed for precision application.

HOW TO USE: Shake, shoot, volumise. Apply on damp hair directly on the roots and blow dry as you wish.

MRP: Rs.900/- for 200ml

If your hair is straight & flat like mine and you love volume in hair, this is the product for you! Just take some mousse on your palms and apply it on your roots on damp hair and blow dry as usual. You will immediately get insane amount of volume. Trust me, you will absolutely love the results. Since I am not a person who blow dries a lot, I don’t end up using this often. I mostly prefer air drying my hair.

NEW & HERO Perfect Me – this delicate lotion adds shine, repairs, moisturises and tame fly-aways. It creates deliciously smooth hair.

HOLD LEVEL 2
Create natural style with smoothness with this delicate lotion that adds shine, repairs, moisturizes, tames flyaways and protects from the heat of styling tools.

HOW TO USE: Pamper, perfect, protect. Caress a small amount of product on mid-lengths and ends on damp or dry hair for a luxurious feel. Style as you wish.

MRP: Rs.900/- for 100ml

A BB Lotion for your hair. You must have heard about a lot of BB creams for skin, this is a BB lotion for your hair, and rightfully so. It not only gives the hair a smooth and shiny look and controls frizz, it also repairs, moisturises and works as a heat protectant. What more does one need 😀 I absolutely love it and use it every time post washing my hair. The smell stays on for a long, long time and I can’t stop smelling my hair for the entire day :p

Dry Me and Root Shoot are meant to give you volume and Perfect Me is meant to give hair a sleek and smooth finish. I use the Dry Me dry shampoo a lot, followed by the Perfect Me and Root Shoot whenever I blow dry.

My favourite from all three is obviously the Dry Me, followed by the Perfect Me :p I have clicked pictures before and after using the dry shampoo, the results are for you all to see..

This is my flat 3-4th day unwashed hair and just look at the volume I got on the crown with the dry shampoo.

Also this range is quite economically priced at INR 900. Mostly all hair styling products fall in that price category and talking about quality, I am highly impressed with this range! Highly recommended!!

July 2016 My Envy Box Review & Unboxing

July My Envy Box Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I just got the My Envy Box for the month of July. The theme is ‘Band, Baajaa Beauty’ and it’s curated by WedMeGood. The box itself is very pretty, it is neon pink with gold intricate work on it.

I had seen a sneak peek in the email and knew there were two full sized products from SkinYoga and Gulnare in this month’ box.

MRP: Rs.850/- (Available HERE)

Let’s see what I got in this month’s box:

  • SkinYoga Marigold Foot Soak- Full Size (Rs. 695/-)
  • Gulnare Glow Girl Shimmering Dry Oil – Full size (Rs.1250/-)
  • Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Brightening Scrub -5g sample
  • Kama Ayurveda Hand Cream- 5g sample
  • Kerastase Chronologiste Oil- 3ml sample

In total there are 5 products in this month’s box, but except the 2 full sized products, rest of the samples are very tiny. I do prefer deluxe sized samples which have 30g or 30ml product, I do not like the 5g and 5ml tiny samples which hardly serve the purpose.

The foot soak and shimmering body oil do look interesting, but I would have liked body scrub or Gulnare moisturiser/hand cream.

Overall the value of the two full sized products do make up for the cost of the box, but I would suggest go for this month’s box only if you use/interested in trying out the foot soak or shimmering body oil. Or else, can skip this month’ box.

What did you get in your July My Envy Box?
