As I mentioned in the previous post, I have not been oiling my hair much from the last one year or so and does the need some nourishment as it has also turned drier.

Tamper proof flip cap

I got to try this new Dabur Amla Hair Oil. I like the new packaging and the flip cap which shuts tight, does not spill and dispenses only the desired quantity. It has that typical amla oil smell, but does not bother me much and a light green tint.

With the change of weather and water, my scalp is super itchy these days. I really needed something to soothe the scalp and reduce the itchiness and flakiness. It did exactly that and the scalp feels so much better.

Its not very sticky and heavy and does not give the chip chip feel. I did not notice longer or thicker hair as such, coz I anyways have a good length of hair and it grows quickly and also coz the time period is still too less to conclude that. Stronger yes, also coz of less irritation to the scalp and less dandruff issues in winters, if oiled regularly.

But one needs to use it continuously to see results. Amla also helps people with premature greying of hair. Those who use amla oil regularly from a young age still have rich, dark hair in their old age. (Have seen quite a few examples)

I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I have been using it for around a month now (oil once a week or so). Let’s start with the packaging..I like how it is easy and convenient flip cap..and no spilling, etc.

Its quite light weight in texture..and as claimed non sticky..even after using a good enough qty, hair never felt too sticky or oily.

Has a strong sweet smell..for those of who prefer their oils unscented, its not for you.

It was not difficult to wash it off..and it all came off nicely.

I do see some changes in hair fall and strength of hair..but it also gives a lot of volume (which I am not a fan of..I only prefer volume at my crown area..and not in the density of hair). Also did not notice much of smoothness or shine.

Pros:

1. Convenient packaging.

2. Cost effective

3. Easily available.

4. Benefits of olive oil, hibiscus, bhringraj, aloe vera and almond protein (Vitamin E)

5. Gives volume and density to hair.

6. Hair is stronger..less hairfall.

Cons:

1. No smoothness or shine.

2. Contains mineral oil.

Overall, I would say its perfect for people who have thin hair..or suffer from a lot of hairfall or have done straightening,etc..coz this will help in controlling hairfall and give volume and density. (coz of bhringraj and hibiscus too). But if you are someone who already has a lot of volume, you can skip this.

Would I buy it again: No..not for my hair type..but I would still be going back to it occasionally..especially if hairfall problem increases.
