Lakmé Salon Presents ‘Show Stopping Hair’ Collection Styled by Little Shilpa

I attended the exclusive blogger preview of the Autumn-Winter 14-15 collection of UK’s top brands – Miss Selfridge and River Island on behalf of Jabong.com

During that, I also caught up on the Little Shilpa’s fittings. Loved the 3-4 outfits I saw during the fittings. A red mirror work bustier with maxi skirts, mirror work dresses,etc. But I am more excited about the hairstyles of that show coz its going to be an unique one as the clothing revolves around the hair in this show!

Lakmé Salon brings the best of hair fashion to the Indian runway, with a one-of-its kind ‘Show Stopping Hair’ collection which will be showcased exclusively at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014.

Conceptualized and crafted by Lakmé Salon experts with international hair stylist Winnie Loo, and styled by Little Shilpa, this promises to be one of the most exciting launches in hair fashion in the country.

Hair Takes Center Stage @ Lakmé Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014

In the world of fashion, the garment struts the runway, with hair adding the finishing touches to the overall look. Reversing this norm for the first time in India, hair will be the hero as Lakmé Salon pioneers the concept of a Hair Show. Exclusively showcased at the Mecca of Indian Fashion, Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014, the ‘Show Stopping Hair’ collection brings the best of hair trends to the Indian runway.

It promises to be one of the most exciting launches in hair fashion in the country.

The collection includes three dramatic themes:

• ‘Illusion’, inspired by the natural phenomenon of the ‘Northern Lights’, it is a playful fusion of colors

• ‘Metamorphosis’ inspired by the complex art forms of postmodern Paris, it is the line of dual hairstyles and textures ranging from straight and curly, to short and long

• ‘Moulin Rouge’, a modern take on the ‘classic elegant’ with bouffants and waves

TIGI partners with Clint Fernandes to create five unique looks for the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014

For Lakmé Fashion Week’s Summer/Resort 2014 shows, award winning makeup and styling artist Clint Fernandes worked backstage with TIGI’s BED HEAD & S Factor product range at four popular shows, creating unique looks to compliment the designers’ latest collections. Clint has created and crafted different looks & styles for shows of Tarun Tahiliani, Rajat Tangri & Shehlaa, Anju Modi, and Archana Kocchar this LFW season by using TIGI Bed Head & S Factor products.

Award winning Hair & Makeup Expert, Clint Fernandes has been working in the industry for over a decade; both in India as well as internationally. From Couture and Prêt-à-Porter shows in Paris to being an integral part of the Lakmé Fashion Week since its inception, Clint Fernandes has played a vital role in the Indian hair and makeup industry. A constant innovator in hairdressing as well as makeup techniques and a creative intellect, Client has worked with popular Bollywood stars as well as International stars such as Kesha and Paris Hilton. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with a strong background in education which includes fashion designing as well as arts along with makeup and hair.
