OOTD: Coral Pink Maxi Dress, Black- White Striped Jacket Hey guys, Another OOTD..this time its a maxi dress..I don’t know why all maxi dress from Chinese sites reach till the knees..and not proper maxi dress..are Chinese girls short ? And could this be a reason ? Any idea ? 😀
Anyways, coming back to the outfit, you guys saw how I layered my pleated dresses with jackets..leather and denim..HERE and HERE..this sort of simple layering definitely works for a climate like Mumbai..where it is not too cold..but just windy and pleasant..but cold enough for a sweatshirt or a jacket..
This time I layered this pleated coral pink maxi dress with a black and white striped jacket..which is not that thick..but cardigan like..the dress is sheer from the knee onwards..
I like the gold detailing on the sleeves and collar..I paired it with white pumps and blue statement necklace and neon bracelet and a neon green statement ring..
I am back with an OOTD..first OOTD in 2014 😀 Btw, Happy New Year again guys 🙂
I love mint ! And this sleeveless feminine pleated mint dress was instant love..it has a self colored cloth belt..
I paired it with this bluish purple statement necklace and gold cuff and gold hollow bracelet..and nude pumps.
Also added a denim jacket..for the casual touch..adding a denim jacket instantly gives the outfit a casual, laid back touch..
And and and it also has a detachable hoodie..I love hoodies..they look cute !
And I lovee this gold hairband..it is just so perfect..and I love the way it looks..and also this bluish purple statement necklace..instantly pops the mint dress..
Lovelyshoes.net Wishlist Well I am back with another wishlist..oh how I love shoes..and with the name lovelyshoes, you know how crazy a shoe lover can go :p
I know this is perfect for summers and not these winters..I dunno why, the moment I saw this dress, it screamed ‘Goaa’ to me 😀 Apt for your beach holidays.
These are available in fuchsia pink and black..gold heels and the pattern on the sides make these look amazing..glam up the simple suede heels immediately.
OOTD: Sequin Little Black Dress Hey Everyone,I am back with an OOTD…this sequin black dress I wore on my friend’s bachelorette party…and clicked lots of pics..that night was super fun..the theme was black..so all girls were in black..
I paired it with a diamante statement necklace and a black and gold cuff..and my black glitter heels and a silver clutch.
We played games, cut a naughty cake..and drank away..I won one game..and every game’s winner got a small pink tiara..so thats the one..and also there were eye masks with tags like ‘Single’, ‘Wild’, ‘Flirt’, etc..I got the ‘Sexy’ one 😀
Dress: DonebyNone
Necklace, Cuff: Romwe
Shoes: Shown HERE, HERE and HERE
Clutch: Online
Peacock Statement Ring: Sammydress
OOTD: Green Lace Dress Hey everyone,I am back with an OOTD…I have paired this beautiful green lace dress with a bronze statement necklace and a gold cuff.
And gold clear pointed metallic toe pumps..they have red Louboutin like soles..I love them..are’nt they pretty ? And quite comfortable too.
OOTD: Cream Printed Lace Dress So, after the black ruffle sleeves dress shown HERE, I have another pretty dress from Rooja to show you all..I love this one !
Its a sleeveless cream printed lace dress..it clinches at the waist and makes one look slimmer..I love how it perfectly fits me..
I have paired it with black ankle strap heels (you must have seen 100 times by now..I know I pair these with almost everything..but I feel these look the best) and pearl bib necklace and spiked and pearl bracelets..
Back with an OOTD..again a color block dress..this time its a true color block high low dress..
I paired it with a tan brown belt and nude pumps..since its a bright colored outfit, bags, belts, shoes, etc can be neutral or muted.
I wore a lemon and green statement necklace and a spiked gold black bracelet and gold cuff.
I also paired it with a beige trench coat…Winter/Fall is all over the globe ! And how I love jackets, trench coats, etc..sadly I will never ever get to wear this in Mumbai :/ But surely on holidays..these are so perfect for the fall/winter season.
Currently I am loving this wine and navy blue color block dress with a drawstring tie-up at the waist..the drawstring tie-up perfectly accentuates the waist and the longer sleeves hide your arms making you look slimmer overall 😀 Well, which girl would not love that 😉
Its soo comfy and soft to touch..I am really loving it..I paired it with black bow court heels..the heels are also super comfy for daily wear and do not hurt a bit. (Pssst..they are on discount right now :D)
Accessories wise, I wore a diamante gold choker necklace..which immediately took the dress from casual to glam ! And a gold and black stretch bracelet and a gold black chain bracelet.
I am back with an OOTD 😀 This time its a dress with an illusive hourglass panel..the black on the sides in such dresses give a nice flattering shape to the body and make you look slimmer giving an hourglass figure effect. It can be black, navy blue or any deep color..
As you can see how it is giving that curve to the body..
I have paired it with a statement necklace that steals the show..I love how it changes the whole look and takes it from simple to glam..
And black ankle strap heels..and a silver cuff and a gold and black entwined bracelet.
The Mumbai Bride Diaries: Engagement Jewellery and Shoes
Check out my previous post to see my outfit HERE and the mehendi and manicure, pedicure post HERE.
Today I am talking about jewellery and shoes.. Coming to the jewellery, what all can be worn as a part of jewellery:
1. Set consisting of necklace and earrings: A basic set which complements the outfit..you can go heavy or light depending on your preference..I wanted something light..and a maang tikka can also form a part of the set.
2. Matching Set of Bangles: You can either go for kadas if you do not want to wear whole set of bangles..or a set of bangles..any shop stocking bangles would customise it according to your outfit..you can ofcourse make changes in it as per your liking.
3. Kamar patta or Waist Belt: I wanted to add one..but did not find anything appropriate so skipped it..you can definitely wear it if you find something good..that works well with your outfit too.
4. Latkans : These days the latkans are quite in..ya the same ones which we have in our anarkalis and blouses on the back..we can also wear them on the sides of the waist across the saris or lehengas..you can combine a few different ones and mix and match.
5. Baju Band or Armlet : One can also add baju band on the upper arm..especially if your outfit is sleeveless or has very short sleeves..looks pretty..
6. Payal or Anklets: Kundan payal looks great and would match most of the Indian outfits..you can find so many designs of it these days.
I wore a simple gold set with some silver accents and diamonds in between and blue droppings and only the earrings..skipped the maang tikka as I wanted a light look..one can always add a maang tikka too.
Matching set of bangles to the outfit.
Stiff Kundan Payal..they have this oblong shape..and have a key lock..
Shoes : I chose these Catwalk shoes with gold motifs and pearl and diamonds on the front..same shoes were available in 2 inches more heel but with a broader band at the front..I needed heels coz fiancee is 6’3” :/ And I did buy those, somehow the transaction failed and since it was only one pair left, it was showing Out of Stock then..and later when I checked I guess it was already sold out..though I liked this smaller band more..but heels also were less in these..nonetheless I felt they looked perfect with the outfit..I bought these online from Jabong.
Places to shop for..I knew which is the best place in my area for the jewellery and bangles and so was found it there..so I checked out many shops for the set and did not like it much anywhere or did not find something that would compliment the outfit well..I would suggest first checking out your local famous shops, then online and also compare prices..I liked a few on Homeshop18, Craftsvilla, etc..But checking out and trying personally is what is recommended..
In Mumbai..you can check out Magic Mirror in Matunga and Santacruz, Sia outlets, shops in Bhuleshwar for artificial jewellery..for real gold and diamonds I would recommend going to your trusted family jeweller..I like diamonds from Manubhai Jewellers in Borivali and Ghatkopar…my engagement ring is also from there.
Hope you liked the post..if you still have any doubts or need any help, shoot me an email at bhumika_thakkar@yahoo.co.uk and I would be ready to help..
