4) At IIFA 2017 – The International Indian Film Academy awards 2017 held in New York’s iconic MetLife stadium saw the big-wigs of Tinsel-town paint the town red with their glamorous avatars. Bagging the award for the Best Female Debutante 2017, Disha walked away in a heavily embellished Falguni and Shane Peacock gown accompanied with an angled jewelled necklace.
5) At The Star Screen Awards 2016 – Sporting a green one-shoulder dress by designer Swapnil Shinde during the Star Screen Awards 2016, the MSD Dhoni heroine’s look is the textbook definition of being easy on the eyes despite dolling up! Asymmetrical lines brought a different element to her attire. Side-swept locks and minimal makeup rounded off her red carpet look.
6) During Kung Fu Panda’s promotional event – Eliciting vibrance, zest and sunshine, Disha stepped out in a pretty red floor length anarkali from hot-shot couturier Anita Dongre during one of the promotional legs of her then impending flick – Kung Fu Panda. Keeping the look ornate yet not over the top, it was the gota work which catches eyes and induces a thumbs up from the fashion police.
7) On the ramp for Ritu Kumar at the India Couture Week 2017 – Setting the stage on fire as the show stopper for master designer Ritu Kumar at the India Couture Week 2017, Disha sported a floral sheer maxi with a cascading hem. With tangerine pointed-toe flats, fish net stocking and a stack of stunning bracelets, she let her lush locks loose which further accentuated her baby face. Elegant and feminine in a nutshell!
OOTD: Black & Fuchsia Pink Ombre Maxi Dress with Embellished Cape

Time for an OOTD post. I had this dress since quite some time now, but I had to get few alterations done and hence the delay.
But finally I managed to shoot in this. It’s a stunning dress by the designer Mithi Kalra, she has also showcased at the India Runway Week.
The black and fuchsia pink ombre is gorgeous and the best part is it comes with an embellished cape with the same ombre.
My dream is to fly over the rainbow so high..
So you can wear it two ways, either just the maxi casually or with the cape for a cocktail or reception or any special occasion. I love such dresses which can be worn in different ways, you can make good use out of them.
I love the layers and the dress is quite heavy. The strapless ombre maxi can be worn in so many ways, with a denim jacket, leather jacket or even on it’s own.
Since the cape covers the neck and sleeves and is embellished, you do not need any accessories with this dress. I just paired it with my strappy black block heels and a fuchsia pink Kate Spade sling.

Choc-a- bloc schedules with film assignments, dubbing, movie promotions at myriad venues, advert shoots, press conferences, store launches, award ceremonies and frequent outdoor shoots… phew! It would be arduous to swaddle oneself in the trendiest of outfits and showcase one’s sense of style every time a star steps out. The struggle is all the more tedious for a Bollywood actress who is screened from top to toe for her style, while a male celeb may evade the lens of the fashion police, scot-free even after committing the most heinous of fashion faux pas.
In the midst of all this, B-town celebs, particularly the female ones end up crossing each other’s paths swathed in the same outfit! Now, that is not a blunder per se. The dimpled Deepika stepped out in a mesmeric houndstooth print outfit to promote Ram Leela on the sets of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show. Coincidentally, not long ago, the feisty Kareena Kapoor Khan posed for the cover of a magazine in an exact replica of the outfit.
4. SHILPA OR DEEPIKA- And here come the ladies who have the best bodies in Bollywood without any iota of doubt! Naturally, any dress would complement the two, but what if the two sultry lasses zero in on the same attire? Scroll upwards and decide for yourselves. Baffled, aren’t you? Clearly here, only the skirt of both the divas is common yet, even that is sufficient to draw parallels. While Deepika teamed up her floral print Zara skirt with a bishop sleeved top, Shilpa opted for a loose white top gathered with a belt with the same skirt.

3. SHILPA SHETTY- And here comes another Dostana girl! Shilpa Shetty Kundra has a body sculpted to perfection. Period. But when she swaddles herself in an itsy-bitsy swimsuit while grooving to the tunes of ‘Shut Up and Bounce’ all you can do is look at her unblinkingly while controlling yourself from slobbering.
4. SHRADHHA KAPOOR- Her face and frame both bill her as a typical happy-go- lucky, effervescent and exuberant girl-next- door whom you would have always wanted to ask out for a date but couldn’t summon the courage to. But when the livewire Shraddha sports a swimsuit (with an enviable bralette) not only do you get an impetus to modify your beach wardrobe majorly but also you are left gasping for more.
5. KIARA ADVANI- The Fugly actress ensured that she took all her fans by surprise as she posed in a black swimsuit for the magazine cover of Maxim India February 2015. Kiara Advani’s sensual avatar here certainly grabs one’s eyeballs.
6. ESHA GUPTA- The Desi Angelina Jolie- Esha Gupta oozed seduction, magnetism and appeal as she swaddled herself in an itsy-bitsy swimsuit for Elle Magazine. The cover of the magazine reads “Esha Gupta in summer’s sexiest swimwear”. After having a look at it, one cannot help but nod almost hypnotically in approval.

JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ- Sri Lankan import and former beauty queen- Jacqueline Fernandez unleashed her sensual and sultry facet as she sent the carnal interests of one and all into a tizzy with her audacious and alluring swimsuit appearances in Murder 2. She certainly raised the visual appeal of the thriller by a few notches, we say!

Tinseltown stood testimony to the launch of Mr. Prakash Padukone’s daughter opposite SRK. It was the perfect launch vehicle. Renowned star, commercial film, huge budget, exotic and fancy locales, elaborate song and dance sequences, reincarnation saga, avenging the death of the love of one’s life by battering the antagonist black and blue, a song sequence entailing almost the entire B-town and aggressive promotions… Om Shanti Om (2007) was an ideal Launchpad for the lady.
To top it all, the movie was clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansaali’s Sawariya which starred two star kids. So, the competition had some teeth in it too. The release date arrived. The box office stated its verdict. OSO thrashed Sawariya point blank and the leading lady of the former became an overnight sensation. Despite bagging almost all the Best Female Debut awards that year, her acting skills were limited and were panned by critics for long. 3. LET’S GO BLING- For another promotional event for Bajirao Mastani, Deepika opted for a monochrome striped blouse with a gold sequined pencil skirt. A studded belt from ASOS and cage sandals rounded her look out. To top it all, her poker straight hair looked chic and upped her glam quotient by leaps and bounds.
4. A LITTLE MORE BLING NEVER HURTS- Taking the bling look ahead, Deepika donned a pair of ripped bling jeans with a casual sweatshirt for the least leg of promotions of Bajirao Mastani. And given that our Tinseltown celebs swaddle themselves in apparel that makes them the talk of the town (at times, in an unpleasant and unwanted way, unfortunately), keeping an eye of what they wore so as to borrow some practical ideas from those known for re- defining the rules of fashion, becomes pivotal. On that note, let us have a look at the B-town ladies who have the best airport attire 🙂
1. ANUSHKA SHARMA – Blend cuteness, effervescence, chirpiness and truckloads of energy and you will end up with Anushka Sharma. The lady is a livewire! She is often seen swaddled in the most comfy attire when making an appearance on airports. Not only are her clothes chic but also highly practical to borrow for women in the age group of 18-30. She sports denims of all sorts be it- ripped, skinny or colored and teams them with equally comfy tees. 3. KRITI SANON – A new kid on the block but a fashionista in the making- this is what comes to my mind as I see Kriti Sanon strut with panache at airports. Her attire too, is predominantly dominated by denims and comfy tees that make for trendy travel attire and who says tees are boring? Have a look at hers!
4. SONAM KAPOOR- One day I would definitely raid her closet! Even you would like to do so, won’t you? When everyone carries off comfy outfits, Sonam actually shows us what truly comfortable attire is. Seen here is Sonam draped in an orange-coloured off-shoulder maxi dress that not only looks trendy but also spells comfort. Given that India is predominantly hot for a major part of the year with even nights being uncomfortably humid at times, this maxi dress would make for a go-to outfit while commuting as it doesn’t stick to one’s body. 7. SHRADDHA KAPOOR- If there is anyone who has taught us how to wear casuals and look trendy in it round the clock, it has to be the petite Shraddha Kapoor. Swaddled in a pair of denims and comfy tees from time to time at the airport, Shraddha’s style does not scream for attention but rather comes across as a breath of fresh air reminding one that it is very much possible to enter the good books of the fashion police without robbing an ace designer’s exorbitant couture.
