Last week I attended the launch of Swatch’s new Pop collection, if you follow me on twitter or Snapchat, you must have seen pictures from the event. It was at Exo at The St. Regis Hotel in Mumbai.
The event started with a presentation of the Pop collection and we were taken through the entire collection and it’s USP. All the watches in the Pop Collection can be bought with a range of accessories and can be used in multiple ways like a wall clock, table clock, pocket watch, neck piece, clip on watch, etc.

The dial is removable and can be attached to any accessory to take that form. That is quite interesting and I have come across something like that for the first time. Absolutely loved the creative and innovative concept.
They had different ranges in watches from bright pop to neon pop and even monochromatic. If you wear more of basic outfits, then neon or bright pop is for you, it can pop up your outfit instantly. And if you are like me who loves to wear colours, the monochromatic range is perfect.

We mingled over drinks and munchies and also played a fun game where we were divided into teams of two and gave our very own pop to the watches with colours and glitter. I teamed up with Chandani and we made this..

I am definitely looking forward to buying the accessories, so that I can use my watch in multiple ways.
At the unripe age of 19, she stepped into the glittery world of Tinseltown in a movie that thrived more on glitz and glamour and less on substance. Post the release, she was labelled a non-performer to an under-performer. The very next year, she came with a bang with a heart-wrenchingly honest performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway opposite the powerhouse performer Randeep Hooda and audiences unanimously exclaimed ‘The Student has grown up’. How true! Less than a year and she upped her acting game by leaps and bounds. With a few unsatisfactory performances in the past including the nowhere-Shandaar ‘Shandaar’ and the predictable and banal to death ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, she has managed to stay afloat as an ‘actor’. In the fashion department, given her age, she has dressed appropriately and that has caught the eye of the Fashion police. With a few glitches here and there, on average, her dressing sense is fun, youthful and exuberant. It’s none other than the chirpy Alia Bhatt and from her style book, today we are going to pick our best 5 looks that we drooled over. 🙂
1. THE FUN ONE-PIECE- Swaddled in a chic TopShop dress and ASOS brogues, this young lady looked prepossessing during the promotions of her then, impending movie- Shaandaar. The pink lips, nude makeup and understated eye makeup make it picture perfect for she is looking trendy effortlessly.
2. THE CROP TOP LOOK – Teaming up a black crop with a pair of comfy shorts and a black hat, Alia looked the textbook definition of winsome as she attended the press meet of Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya. Not to forget that dimple adds the perfect dash of cuteness, doesn’t it? 🙂
3. THE DUNGAREE LOOK AT THE MUSIC LAUNCH- She danced in her usual effervescent self and shutterbugs went into frenzy as she did so at the music launch of Shaandaar. Alia carefully and in fact, smartly opted for ILK overalls by Shikha and Vinita which she teamed up with a dark checked shirt. Soft wavy hair and metallic sneakers from Aldo ensured that brought the house down as she swayed to the tunes of ‘Gulaabo”
4. BRINGING THE LADY OUT WITH THE BOW DRESS- Ringing her 23rd birthday celebrations with panache, Alia opted for a black off-shoulder dress with a huge silver bow on its top. It channelized all her vivaciousness in one go.
5. WHEN SHE STEPPED OUT IN BLUE- Donning a Kanika Goyal outfit with a cool tee, understated heels from Pheddies and a little dramatic makeup, this pretty lass looked drop- dead gorgeous as she stepped out to promote Shaandaar. The movie might be miles away from its title but the look Alia carried was surely one. 🙂

This Himachali lass set her foot in Tinseltown with the blockbuster ‘Gangster’ in the year 2006. A decade down the line and she’s been aptly crowned as the ‘Queen’ of the very same industry that for long pooh-pooed her as an outsider. With an impeccable style sense, she gives all the so-called fashionistas who swaddle themselves only in high-end designer outfits, a run for their money. So, here goes a list of Ms. Ranaut’s top 5 offscreen avatars that caught our fancy 🙂
1. THE AIRPORT LOOK- Dressed in a polka-dotted shirt teamed with a short blazer and denims, Ms. Ranaut steps out to give us a view of this chic and understated attire. Comfort and effortless style characterise this look. Not to forget those aviators give a bad girl tinge to the appearance. Clearly a winner all the way, isn’t it?
2. THE GYM LOOK- With her lustrous tousled locks cascading down her back and a half front-open jacket loosely tucked in the pants, Kangana’s gym look looks badass to say the least. Sneakers make for comfortable footwear when it comes to training hard in the gym and that is exactly what Kangana opts for here. Overall, the look is rugged and drool-worthy. Or is it Kangana’s attitude that makes it stand out? Keep thinking.
3. THE NATIONAL AWARD MOMENT- Eventually, she looks the happiest when the actor in her gets acknowledged. Bagging the coveted and highly esteemed National Award for best Actress in a leading role (Female) for the third time for her flick- Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) that defied the Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility and went on entertain more than the prequel, Kangana looked a million bucks at the prestigious ceremony in an icy-hued Georges Chakra dress.
4. THE PRESS CONFERENCE LOOK AT TANISHQ- This curly haired feisty actress attended the press conference of Tanishq. She looked drop-dead gorgeous in a full-sleeved one-piece with nude pumps that complemented her attire well.
5. THE RAMP LOOK- Walking the ramp for Anju Modi on Day 2 of Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers India Couture Week in a heavily embroidered full-sleeved crop top and a matching lehenga. The attire had a golden embroidery. Carrying it off with panache, Kangana stole the show quite literally 🙂
Aishwarya & Sonam at Cannes 2016: Outfits & Makeup

You all must have seen 100’s of pictures of both Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor from the Cannes Film Festival 2016. It’s the 15th year Aishwarya Rai was present at Cannes and she was there for all four days while Sonam Kapoor joined later for 2 days. Katrina Kaif was not present at Cannes this year due to her shoot commitments.
You must have seen the Infallible Range Makeup Collection launch for Cannes 2016 HERE, where I also reviewed & swatched the lip glosses.
Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya’s first look on the red carpet was a Ali Younes Couture golden gown, which she paired with smokey blue eyes and glossy nude lips. The dress was ok, the cape was not flattering and something was not right with the fit around her waist.
She wore a red ruffled gown from Naeem Khan with bold red lips.
Later she donned a Rohit Bal gold and brown ensemble for the Sarabjit screening. She paired it with smokey eyes and nude lips, like the makeup, the dress is quite ok.
The Elie Saab gown was the showstopper! Bold red lips and a winged eyeliner, soft wavy hair, she looked ethereal. The bold lips were achieved using a mix of shades from the L’Oreal Paris LA Lip Palette, I hope they launch it in India soon!
Her last look was a blush pink floral Rami Kadi bardot dress and brown smokey eyes with super bright and bold lilac lips with her hair tied slick back! While I did like the dress, I don’t like the lips at all! Pastel lilac is not her colour, she is fair with green eyes and pastel lilacs will just wash her out, a beautiful deep purple like MAC Recollection or something like that would have looked gorgeous on her!
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam’s first appearance was in Rimzim Dadu black and blue sari. She went with a blue liner, pink cheeks,fuchsia lips and a sleek low bun. I loved the earrings and harness behind! The makeup looked quite fresh and nice, I did not like the sari though, looked like vinyl :/
She later wore a flowy, white Ralph & Russo dress on the red carpet. Straight hair and gold smokey eyes with half brown half bronze liner and pinky nude lips, I guess since her gown was white, she could have gone with pink or a brighter shade. This looked good too, I liked the overall look and how it turned up.
And finally she wore another white Ralph & Russo flowy gown with a floral cape and Bulgari jewellery. A bow shaped sleek bun and bronze pink eyes with a smoked winged liner, highlighted cheeks, fluttery lashes and soft pink lips. This was my favourite look of hers in Cannes 2016.
At the end for the Chopard After party, she wore a gorgeous black Ralph & Russo gown with Chopard jewellery, of course. Again a sleek bun but with bronzed face and bold red lips this time. I loved this look too.

For those who are unaware of the Coachella festival, it is a music and art festival held annually in California and is one of the coolest concert to attend at the moment, every year many stars are spotted which made this festival so popular and WANTED! It has definitely increased the fashion standards ofcourse have inspired us with their fresh and unique style statement! Keep reading to know more.
1. Over accessorising is in : Over accessorising is a myth, wearing all of your wardrobe jewellery is the new trend, don’t believe me? Have a look at these moments stolen from coachella fest! I am amazed that wearing so many jewellery doesn't make them appear tacky or loud but unquestionably fashionable.
2. Vintage glasses : These sun glasses definitely reminded me of Gandhi ji’s eye glasses, it was a geeky piece or regular glasses back then, but who knew it will be on of the hottest glasses to buy at the moment. They are definitely a must have.
3. Crop tops : I am some where forced to believe that crop top was started from this fest, they look so fabulous and is now a THING in the entire world, the best part it’s comfortable as crop tops are usually loose, this is also the coolest fashion trend to follow in hot summers
4. Eyebrow art : During the 90’s in Indian weddings the bride use to apply white sticker/painted bindi over the eyebrows, I guess Bengali bride follow this ritual even today, if you love this I have a good news! You don’t need to be a bride to get that look, many people are getting that bindi look all over their eyebrows I feel it’s stolen from India’s ancient tradition, but is the new trend to follow!
5. Floral Head bands : This is one is my favourite! This look is feminine and delicate, again this is stolen from the brides, usually Christian brides are seen wearing a flowers head band or flowery hair do. In many images floral head band in paired with braids to get that bohemian look.
6. Long Cardigan with shorts : Cardigans are usually paired with jeans, wearing shorts along with a long cardigan is the new look, they make a perfect pair and definitely attract eye balls.
7. Hair chains : This is so fancy, ever since I was a child I wanted to do this! This makes me feel like I am a princess of Persia!! I really want to thank the person who came up with this very idea, this is so fashionably unique and looks so feminine, again this was traditionally used by Indian brides, usually it’s worn in silver colour and looks fabulous with women with black-brown hair. Haven’t own one? You should really consider it.

If not then this article is just for you. As here we will focus on some easy yet exclusive denim tricks and hacks that you help you reinvent the same old denim wardrobe the fashionable way. Because denim magic will never occur on its own, a little effort, innovative thought and creative tools can take your denim success a long way.
1. Start With Zipper Style
The usual denims that you wear can be taken as a layout which can be structured just the way you want with your creativity. This concept can be fruitfully used for transforming your denim into a zipper style denim. For this style all you need is a zipper, scissor and needles. First determine the area when you wish to place the zipper and then rip that area to create desired space for it. Style Tip: Be careful with the colors that you pick and remember that the match up should always complement each other.
3. Lace It Up
This hack is just for the beauties out there, who can take their denim to a new dimension by lacing it up. Now, each one of us are a huge fan of laces then why not have them here too. Pick up the appropriate lace that you love, crop up your denim and stitch it up, it is as easy as it can get. But, the difference that it is going to create on the aesthetic appeal of the denim is something to watch out for. So, have you selected your perfect lace yet?
Style Tip: Lace is the key of this hack, go with black, cream, white or other self colors, avoid those that have amalgamation of various colors in one fabric.
4. Rip and Fill The Denim
Everyone is loves to have ripped denims, but now it's time to fill the ripped parts not with denim but a wide range of fabric. Fill this ripped areas with designs, patterns, fabrics or any other idea of your choice. If you do not have a ripped jeans then just take scissors to rip them off. Later, take the fabric that you want to attach with the denim and stitch it up.
Style Tip: Colors that you pick can be the reflection of your personality (black, blue, red) or the way you are (white, green, pink).
5. Sand and Stain Denim
Next style hack is an amazing one where you will have the ability to transform the aura of your denims. To do the stand and stain hack you are going to require a sand paper for sanding the denim, filer for scratching it and then a fabric marker for staining it. The stand and stain looks best near the hips and thigh region of jeans so it’s best to do them at its mid length. In this technique first you will have to sand the jeans with a sand paper for a while until the threads are visible and then scratch these threads with the help of a filer. Once the white inner threads of the sanded area are prominently visible then make sure of a fabric marker to stain these threads. Here, you can use any color depending upon what your styling preferences
Style Tip: Have the sand and stain area across different parts of the denim with variations in colors of the marker.
6. Crop the Denim
Bored with the same usual long pair of denim then why not crop them? Take the appropriate measurements, or the length until which you want to crop then and then go for it. During this process you can implement various designs through the art of cutting and stitching too. This means that by simply cropping an old denim you can bring it back to life but a new and refreshed look. Fashion experts believe that cropping a long denim is just like repairing it and bringing it to the gateway of unlimited fashion as its hard to go wrong with crop denims.
Style Tip: Pair crop denims with cool pair of shoes and tops to look your best and never forget those classy sunglasses.
7. Spray Vodka For Targeted Action on Stains
Presence of stains can hamper the aura of your denims, so it’s time to get rid of them with just a few sprays of vodka. Transfer the vodka into a spray bottle, and spray it on the stain for two-three times, allow it to dry and witness the stain disappear.
Style Tip: Regular care and maintenance is crucial for keeping your denim stylish and fashionable.

I have unboxed and reviewed a lot of subscription boxes till now on the blog from makeup, beauty to food. This is the first time I am reviewing a jewellery subscription box.
Zotiqq is an online fashion & lifestyle portal where they have monthly jewellery subscription boxes and one can also buy the pieces they like individually. It is the brainchild of a fellow beauty blogger and friend Ritu Rajput, most of you must be knowing her, her blog is called ‘The Indian Beauty’
The Zotiqq jewellery subscription box is priced at Rs.1500/- per month but if you have 3 months, 6 months or 12 months subscription, you get an amazing deal!
Coming to the January subscription box, it was the ‘New Year’ theme and hence had sparkly baubles. Let’s see what they are..
It comes in this royal blue and beige packaging, the box in itself is quite sturdy and nice and good to stock your jewellery or makeup. It comes nicely bubble wrapped and no jewellery was damaged. Each item is individually stored inside the box in a plastic cover, which is nice coz many a times the jewellery gets entangled within each other.
I got 5 items in this month’s box.
First two are a diamante statement neckpiece and matching set of statement earrings which can be worn together or individually.

My favourite from the lot, a statement cocktail ring.
And a pretty hand harness which will work with so many different outfits.

Also last month in November, I had gone for the Mumbai mentoring session at Shruti Sancheti, the Mumbai mentor’s residence. She went through Diksha and Jasmine, the Mumbai finalists’ designs and gave them some recommendations, etc.

Liva Protégé 2015 saw 100+ budding designers from 50+ Leading Fashion Design Institutes go through 4 gruelling rounds. 6 different cities. 6 mentors. 12 Finalists.
Mentors were Shruti Sancheti from Mumbai, Sahil Kochhar from Delhi, Soham Dave from Ahmedabad, Agnimitra Paul from Kolkata, Manoviraj Khosla from Bengaluru and Chaitanya Rao from Chennai.
The Finale was judged by Soha Ali Khan, Prasad Naik, Ananya Birla, Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Nandini Bhalla.
I absolutely loved each of the 12 themes and every theme was totally different from the other. From different cities of India to different emotions to different art forms, each participant was given an unique theme and how they designed the outfits based on the theme was commendable! Not only the outfits but everything from the makeup, hair, accessories and shoes to the background, lighting and music matched perfectly to the themes. It was one spectacular show and I can say, one of the best fashion shows I have seen! The show also had a beautiful musical dance performance in between which left us mesmerized!
Every outfit was made with LIVA fabric and it was by and large established as a fashion fabric at LIVAProtégé ’15.

SAGARIKA JOSHI from Bengaluru is the 2nd runner up. She was mentored by Manoviraj Khosla, her theme was ‘Taraxacum’, the plant family (also known as ‘Dandelion’)
NITIN GUPTA from Ahmedabad is the 1st runner up. He was mentored by Soham Dave and his theme was Jaipur- Pink City, Blue Tale. I loved how he combined the Jaipur elements but in a blue theme.
RITURANA DEORI from Ahmedabad is the WINNER of LIVA Protégé 2015. He was also mentored by Soham Dave. His theme was Melancholia.
I wish all the best to all participants and they all were amazing, I know each of these 12 budding designers are going to be huge one day coz the talent was very much visible! The fact that LIVA is giving these budding designers a platform to showcase their talent and a chance to make big, is worthy of appreciation. I am really looking forward to more of #LIVAFluidFashion in LIVA Protégé 2016 now 🙂
