  • Pink Post
  • Brick Blush
  • Scarlet Surge
  • Ruby Rush
  • Crimson Cue
  • Maroon Mix

Phew 😀 That’s a lot of shades, I am really glad Lakme has come up with 30 shades in this range and there is a huge variety in terms of shades and undertones, in nudes, reds, oranges, pinks, berries.

The rose gold outer packaging is same as all 9 to 5 lipsticks, I do like the outer packaging but it is plastic at the end and not very firm from inside, the bullet base is quite loose and flimsy, so you have to be careful.

T-B: Saffron Gossip, Rosy Mind, Cabernet Category, Rosy Sunday, Cherry Chic

The formula is matte, but very comfortable matte. They are not as dragging or drying matte as MAC or Ingot Matte formula. They feel very light weight on the lips. Pigmentation is amazing, they give full opaque coverage in 1.5-2 swipes and they glide on like butter.

They claim to have an in built primer and stay put for 12 hours. Well it obviously doesn’t stay for 12 hours, these stay for the normal 4-5 hours on the lips without eating or drinking. With a full meal in between, it will fade and transfer and will need re-application.

These are not transfer proof and do transfer on everything, the only good thing is they do fade evenly and they don’t go away completely from the lips but they do leave some colour/stain behind.

In terms of pigmentation, formula, shade range, pricing, I do love them and recommend them.

L-R: Cherry Chic, Rosy Sunday, Cabernet Category, Rosy Mind, Saffron Gossip

The shades I have..

Cherry Chic is a rust red

Rosy Sunday is a pinky brown

Cabernet Category is a medium berry brown

Rosy Mind is a medium rosy pink

Saffron Gossip is a neon orange, this one is very patchy and I didn’t like it at all.

My favourites have to be Rosy Mind and Rosy Sunday, both are beautiful everyday shades. I also wish to try Maple Map and Choco Break, they have a good range of nudes and browns.

Let me know your favourite in the comments below.

Have you tried the new Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks?

OOTD: Blue & Black Mesh Polka Maxi Dress

OOTD: Blue & Black Mesh Polka Maxi Dress

Hi guys,

I am doing an OOTD after a long time, because my daily outfits I usually share on my Instagram now. If you are not following me there, follow now : bhumika_t

But I have thought of sharing outfits of which I do elaborate shoots of or the outfits which are really pretty and absolutely deserve more pics and an entire blog post, here.

I got this blue and black maxi dress from eShakti in December, I know it’s been quite some time. I had gone for a holiday and came back with a fracture and was on bed rest entire month. It took me quite some time to be completely ok and then couldn’t get around shooting, hence the delay. I am really sorry for that.

Coming to eShakti, I got an email from them and I checked their website and I was absolutely in awe! I had no idea of an Indian website having such beautiful customized clothing at such an affordable price. eShakti primarily catered to US and towards the end of last year, they started the India operations.

They have tops, skirts, dresses, everything from casual to party wear and on trend clothes for women. And the best part is you can customize neck, sleeves, length, measurements, everything! So it is Your Size. Your Style

If you like a print in maxi dress, you can get the same in a shift dress, midi dress, skater dress, with sleeves, you can customize everything. And the best part is they have rates ranging from 1000 to 3000-4000, which is fabulous for a fully customized outfit. And mind you, at 3-4k, you get a beautiful cocktail gown!

I had to struggle a lot to find a nice, simple gown for my cocktail function, because in all the shops I got the diamond work gowns which I hate. They didn’t have anything simple or as per my liking, everything was too blingy for my taste. I finally went a black lace maxi dress from StalkBuyLove, which was too long and I had to alter the height of it.

If eShakti was retailing then and I would have come across this, I would have most definitely bought a gown from here. Perhaps this one only 🙂

I loved this peacock blue and black maxi dress. It has a silk base and a complete mest net coverage from the top, sleeves to bottom, with black polka dots ( in thread embroidery) throughout the dress. It has a zip behind and the entire outfit material from the cloth to the zip and buttons is amazing quality, no complaints whatsoever!

It also has pockets! My favourite part in a dress 🙂

I kept the accessories pretty simple, with just my rose gold Daniel Wellington Classic Petite watch and rose gold cuff. You can get 15% off on www.danielwellington.com using my code ‘BHUMIKA’

I really love this dress and I highly recommend eShakti. You will find everything from casual to party wear here and you can customize pretty much everything. They do take 7-10 days to deliver as they need to customize the outfit.

Dress: eShakti
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Earrings: Tanishq
On my Lips: MAC Ruby Woo

I hope you liked the dress, do let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

June 2017 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

June 2017 Fab Bag Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got the June Fab Bag right now, I haven’t been keeping well and wasn’t going to do a video. But I thought of quickly doing one since many of you like and wait for the unboxing video.

The theme for this month is the ‘Boho Chic’ bag and the bag looks like a jute one. It is quite simple but sturdy and nice for travel.

MRP: Rs.599/- per month (Buy HERE)

Products I got:

  • Johara Creme Rich Lip Colour Cocoa Delight- Full size -Rs.395
  • Sugar Twist & Shout Fadeproof Kajal Black Velvet- Full size- Rs.399
  • BioBloom Foot Cream- Rs.335/- for 50g
  • APS Cosmetofood Activated Organic Spring Water- Rs.270/- for 50ml

I got 4 products in total, 2 full sized and 2 deluxe sized samples, the foot cream almost feels full sized but it’s not mentioned on the card.

Organic Spring Water is like Micellar water meant to cleanse and remove your makeup. I like the fact that it has a spray and cap and is perfect for travel.

The lipstick and kajal also look good, BioBloom products are all natural and chemical free, so looking forward to trying all the things.

The total value of the products in this month’s bag comes to around Rs.1500/- and I do recommend the June 2017 Fab Bag.

What did you get in your June Fab Bag?

PAC Colorlock Longlasting Lipliners & Matte Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches

PAC Colorlock Longlasting Lipliners & Matte Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

So apart from the new Retro Matte Gloss V2.0 (Review HERE), I have also been using the new shade additions in the PAC Colourlock Longlasting Lip Liners and the matte eyeshadow palette since quite some time now, and here are my thoughts..

Claims:

  • Purely pigmented, Waterproof, Smudge proof, Pure matte
  • Long lasting power
  • Unique formula

MRP: Rs.385/- for 1.6g (Buy HERE)

New Shades:

  • So Spicy
  • Plush
  • Beauty Queen
  • Forever Fuchsia
  • Infinite Kiss
  • Hello Pink

PAC has Colorlock Longlasting Lip Liners since a long time, they had all shades of reds and pinks earlier. They have added these 6 new shades which are all nudes and browns and perfect for everyday wear and as a base under all lipsticks.

I love the color co-ordinated packaging, they match to shades and are easier to identify. Each shade name is marked in a nice big font on the center, which again makes it easy, rather than trying to read the small font on the edge of the pencil.

They have a black cap and the whole packaging is long, sleek and quite classy. They need to be sharpened, but they are quite easy to sharpen.

They are quite creamy and pigmented and glide on very easily on the lips. The finish is matte and slightly drying, but that makes the staying power longer. They stay for about 4-5 hours minimum.

L-R: So Spicy, Hello Pink, Infinite Kiss, Forever Fuchsia, Beauty Queen, Plush

I absolutely love the new shades, 3 of the nudes are my favourite and I also love the vampy Infinite Kiss. The nude ones would work under all the lipsticks, Forever Fuchsia under pinks and Infinite kiss for deep wine and vampy lipsticks. These would definitely make your lipstick last much longer and help give a nice definition to the lips. Especially on the edges and corners.

But they also work really well on their own, and I pretty much use these on their own. Plush, Beauty Queen and So Spicy are my favourites! I highly recommend this.

Though these are slightly expensive than other PAC lip liners, but the packaging and quality of Colorlock is pretty good. And compared to other brands, these are definitely a lot better.

PAC Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Claims:

  • 7 velvety shades
  • Blends smoothly with the touch of your fingertips
  • A perfect palette with all the colours that you would need when warm browns are concerned with a super pigmented black

MRP: Rs.975/- (Buy HERE)

I was in love with this no. 2 matte eye shadow palette the moment I saw it! It is every neutral girl’s dream palette! I love warm neutrals and all shades of brown, and you definitely need those for crease, blending and merging other metallic and bright colours.

All the shades of brown in this palette are absolutely perfect for defining crease and outer corners and even lower lashline. These shadows can be used to create any look.

Not only are the shades perfect in colour, but they are also good in pigmentation and are easy to blend. Usually matte eye shadows are chalky in palettes and it is very difficult to get good pigmentation and creaminess when it comes to matte eye shadows. Few shades in Makeup Geek and theBalm palettes are the only ones from what I have tried, which are almost perfect when it comes to matte shadows. I would say PAC did a fabulous job here.

It also has this basic black long strip, coz you need more of black shadow to set your liner and even use as a liner. The pigmentation of this black shadow is mind blowing.

Of course, 1-2 are a little less pigmented than others and they also do have a slight kick back, but they blend very easily and are quick to work with.

I highly recommend this palette, it’s perfect for travel, economical and the only palette you will need, apart from 1-2 other shades to create from neutral day to smokey night to wedding/party or any look.

Have you tried these new launched from PAC? What do you think?

Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons Review, Swatches

Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

I have been testing out the new Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons since quite some time now and here are my thoughts..

Claims: Get smooth and matte finish lips with this lip colour crayon by Lakmé that is infused with mineral powders. It has a soft texture and is available in 10 gorgeous shades that suit all Indian skin tones. It also has a rich blend of olive and jojoba oil that simultaneously conditions your lips. For your convenience, the all new Lakmé Enrich Lip Crayon comes with a sharpener.

Application: Step 1: Open the cap and start applying the product from the centre of your upper lip.
Step 2: Worked from the centre towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth.
Step 3: Glide the product across the entire bottom lip.
Step 4: This step is optional but you could use a tissue to blot out the extra product.

MRP: Rs.185/- (Buy HERE)

Shades Available:

  • 01 Berry Red
  • 02 Red Stop
  • 03 Candid Coral
  • 04 Mauve Magic
  • 05 Peach Magnet
  • 06 Pink Burst
  • 07 Shocking Pink
  • 08 Baby Pink
  • 09 Cinnamon Brown
  • 10 Blushing Pink

The packaging is exactly like color crayons, apart from the black cap, the qty of 14g is pretty good and each crayon comes with it’s own dual sided sharpener to sharpen whenever the tip gets blunt.

L-R: Berry Red, Red Stop, Candid Coral, Mauve Magic,
Shocking Pink, Cinnamon Brown

They have a semi matte finish, neither creamy nor the drying matte. And they stay for 3-4 hours, lighter colours of 2-3 hours but won’t survive full meal. It does survive tea and light snacks and fades away evenly and gradually. But they are very easy to carry along and reapply.

They are very comfortable and light weight on the lips and apply smoothly, do not tug at all. They do not accentuate dry patches and lines but they would be visible.

Overall, I feel they are pretty good value for money and I do recommend them. My favourite shades are Cinnamon Brown, Mauve Magic, Shocking Pink and Red Stop. Cinnamon Brown is the perfect MLBB shade for me, a must have everyday wear nude.

Have you tried the new Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons? What do you think?

Best BB Creams for Summer

Best BB Creams for Summer

These days the harsh summers are unrelenting in their heat, so each one must take care of their skin from breaking too. BB creams hence are a total rage as different brands in India have presented new formulations and new types that suit diverse skin tones and types. BB stands for a beauty balm and even some context, a blemish balm.

BB creams are multi-taskers as they are all-rounders when talking about an all-round cream that can moisturize, protect the skin from sun and even work as a foundation. It is a moisturizer, primer, sunscreen, and foundation rolled all in one. Although they cannot conceal major flaws, but can even out skin tones easily. They are a boon for working women, who must face the harsh sun, work for long hours, and even suffer from faded skin due to too much exposure. Some women are BB cream junkies, and have literally tried almost every option available in the market. Although you might have failed to find the ideal BB cream for your own skin type, one can pick up one from the following list of the best BB creams that are effective this summer.

⦁ Maybelline Clear Glow Shine Free BB Stick

The BB stick is a favorite of many people during summers. If you have oily skin and need light to medium coverage with a brilliant matte effect, then this stick can deliver it. It also allows for quick application in a few strokes and the glow will always be there. There only 2 shades available for the stick though.

⦁ Garnier All in one Miracle Perfector BB Cream

This BB cream is great budget option that delivers the much-needed glow during summers. It can even out the skin tone beautifully and all people who have oily or normal skin can use it. It comes in a single shade but is perfect for all skin tones.

⦁ Ponds White Beauty BB + Fairness Cream

This Ponds cream is capable enough to brighten up the skin instantly with good coverage option for concealing minor flaws. The cream boasts of SPF 30 that is suitable for all skin types and lasts for about 6-7 hours. Its single shade will suit light to medium skin tones too.

⦁ Deborah Milano 5 in 1 BB Cream

This BB cream provides great coverage with a matte finish while also providing 6 whopping shades to choose from.

⦁ MAC Prep and Prime Beauty Balm – SPF 35

This prime beauty balm is an ideal BB cream for many as it consists of multiple shades along with high SPF. Although it is pricey, its features and range offers bang for the buck.

⦁ Maybelline Clear Glow BB Cream

This version is different than the stick version as if offers an ideal BB cream for normal to dry skin. Additionally, consumers prefer it owing to its low coverage and availability in three shades. Certainly, one of the favorites!

⦁ Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm

Colorbar is a perfect BB for oily skin and in places where humidity is quite high. The balm can balance out skin tone giving out a warm, brightening effect. Although its price is not low-end, it certainly makes waves as a near-affordable option for people with oily skin.

⦁ L’oreal Paris True Match Skin Idealizing BB Cream

Now here is a BB cream that is indeed workable as its name suggests. It has a velvet finish and hence it is ideal for use on all skin types. It adapts to your skin tone very well looking very natural and is available in 3 shades.

⦁ Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream

This brand is from Korea and is known to be one of the most effective BB creams, certainly ranking as one of the very best. The good part is that the cream comes in 5 shades, with SPF 42. It is compatible with all types of skins and perfect for summers.

⦁ Clinique Age Defense BB Cream with SPF 30

The age defense BB cream includes several anti-oxidants, which repair skin and is also known for the amount of coverage and its SPF of 30 perfect for normal as well as oily skin. This is one BB cream that is priced high but certainly a favorite for anyone who do not feel price is any issue.

The above list includes some of the best BB creams in the country which are available at Shoppers Stop.

Red Sandalwood Pack for Glowing Skin – DIY

Red Sandalwood Pack for Glowing Skin – DIY

By Sanchita

My skin suddenly started getting dry and dull. There was always a glow but of lately I have seen it getting dull day by day. I have naturally oily and acne prone skin and therefore I never had to face skin peeling off my face. I tried facial oils and moisturizers but nothing could make a difference. I searched the internet for the ingredients and made this customized face pack. I have used this face pack throughout the winter and still using it. I noticed that with continuous usage, it kept my skin hydrated, glowing and pimple-free.

Read on to know how I prepare this face pack.

Ingredients

  • Besan/Gram Flour – 1tbsp.
  • Yogurt – 1tbsp.
  • Red Sandalwood Powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Rosehip Seed Oil (or any other facial oil that works for you) – few drops

Instructions

1. In a clean bowl, add 1tbsp. of Besan/Gram Flour.

2. Next, add ½ tbsp. Red Sandalwood Powder.

3. Add the 1tbsp. yogurt.

4. Add few drops of Rosehip Seed Oil. For extremely oily skin, you can also skip this step and add Aloe Vera juice instead.

5. With the help of a spoon, mix it well.

How to Apply

  • Always apply this face pack after cleansing your face. This will help the skin to benefit better from the ingredients.
  • Take a face pack brush and apply the face pack all over the face, leaving the eye area.
  • Keep it for 20-30 mins and wash off with cold water.
  • Pat the skin dry and apply a facial oil or moisturizer.

Benefits of The Ingredients Used

RED SANDALWOOD POWDER

First and foremost, it nourishes the skin and offers the glow and radiance. The skin remains oil free yet sufficiently hydrated and also helps to exfoliate gently. It also prevents excess secretion of oil, even out the skin tone, remove sun tan and soothes flamed skin.

MRP: Rs.199/- for 100g (Buy HERE)

YOGURT

Yogurt is rich in lactic acid which is an alpha hydroxy acid that dissolves dead skin cells. It hydrates the skin without making it oily, prevents breakouts and also helps to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Also, yoghurt helps to lighten the blemishes and pigmentation.

BESAN/GRAM FLOUR

Besan works magically for my oily skin. It is one of the best natural cleanser and helps to lighten the dark spots and acne scars. It reduces excessive oiliness from the skin and fight pimples naturally.

ROSEHIP OIL

Rosehip Oil is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, especially Vitamin C, Vitamin A (retinol), and linoleic and linolenic acids. It is the only facial oil that works wonder without making my face oily. It is anti-ageing and never broke me out. My skin was peeling due to dryness but this oil prevented and also brought back the radiance and glow to the skin.

MRP: Rs.549/- for 30ml (Buy HERE)

I hope you see the difference too, just like I did. Do let me know in the comments below, if you try it.

Editor’s Note: I will surely try it Sanchita, have to get rosehip oil now.

Oxylife Natural Radiance 5 Crème Bleach Review

Oxylife Natural Radiance 5 Crème Bleach Review

Hi guys,

Summers are at it’s peak right now, as it’s May, the hottest month in India. And we all face a lot of skin problems in summers. Let’s talk a bit about that..

Skin problems we face in summers

The scorching summer heat, dust, pollution, stress and our lifestyle impact the oxygen levels in our skin. That brings along a lot of skin issues like

  • Dull Skin
  • Uneven Skin tone
  • Dead Skin Cells
  • Sun Tan
  • Dark Spots

Today I am reviewing the new Oxylife Natural Radiance 5 Crème Bleach. I am not someone who bleaches regularly, I was a little wary of bleaching and used to do it occasionally. I met Dr. Rashmi Shetty at an event and asked her about bleaching, if it is bad for the skin, and to my surprise, she said not at all. She said you just need to add moisture and hydration to the skin, if you take care of it, then bleaching does no harm.

So I am quite confident about bleaching now. I have used the Oxylife bleach previously, but not this new variant and I thought of giving this a try.

Claims and Features of Oxylife Natural Radiance Creme Bleach: Gone are those days when bleaching caused a row of sirens blazing in your head. With Oxy Life Natural Radiance 5 Crème Bleach, your skin will feel pampered like a queen.

  • Enriched with active oxygen and post bleach skin radiance serum, here’s a bleach wonder that will make your life easy
  • Helps in eliminating dark spots
  • Helps even skin tone and remove sun tan
  • Helps repair dull skin and cleanses dead skin cells
  • Suitable for sensitive skin

Oxylife Natural Radiance 5 Crème Bleach has patented German Technology – Oxysphere, which enables Pure Oxygen molecules to be penetrated inside the skin, giving it pure boost of Oxygen, leaving it naturally radiant.

It is also enriched with Vitamin E and Glycerin to help condition, brighten and nourish the skin and help solve 5 skin problems to give a naturally radiant looking skin.

MRP: Rs.35/- for 9g (one time use), Rs.80/- for 27g (3 uses)

Benefits of Bleaching

Bleaching helps add oxygen to the skin, making it brighter and helps in evening out skin tone and fading acne spots, etc. It also helps remove dead skin cells and repair dull skin, making it look more vivid and glowing. If you are targeting to eliminate acne scars and spots, you should do it regularly. Bleach can be used every 21 days.

How to use:

Oxylife is widely used in salons, and anytime I happen to go and ask them which bleach do they use, majorly it’s always Oxylife.

It comes with the creme bleach, powder activator, spatula, post bleach serum and an instructions manual. The creme bleach and powder activator is to be mixed in the ratio of 7:1. If you are not sure of the measurements, you can buy the one time use pack and mix both in the quantity given.

I have the 3 time use pack with me, and if you follow me on Snapchat, you must have already seen me using this.

You can mix the creme and powder in the dish that comes in the creme tub. Mix it well till the powder dissolves.

Steps of application:

  • Remove all makeup with a makeup remover and wash your face.
  • Pat dry with a tissue/paper towel.
  • Apply the bleach first on the Y zone i.e. the neckline, jaw and chin
  • Then on the the T zone i.e. the forehead, upper lip and nose
  • And in the last 5 minutes on the C zone i.e. the cheeks
  • Avoid eyes, lips, eyebrows completely. Keep it on for 10 minutes if you have deep skin, 15 minutes for wheatish skin and a little bit longer if you have fair skin.

I kept it for 10-15 minutes and washed it with normal water. I saw an immediate difference on my skin! Skin was more even toned and clear looking. The tan was all gone, and there was a fresh glow to the face.

It also works on dark spots, but with regular use, once every 21 days.

Few Pointers:

  • A patch test is recommended for first-time users.
  • Cleanse the skin well and pat dry, before use.
  • Creme Bleach and the activator powder should be used in the ratio of 7:1, Mix the crème bleach and powder activator for 2 minutes with the spatula provided till powder activator completely dissolves.
  • Apply the mixture on the area to be bleached.
  • Avoid application on eyebrows and around the eyes.
  • Wash off the application with water and Apply the post-bleach serum.
  • Bleach should be used once in every 21 days
  • Do not use soap/face wash for 5 hours after bleach.
  • Avoid going into sunlight immediately.

Why Oxylife Natural Radiance 5 Creme Bleach

It comes with the post bleach skin radiance serum that is very moisturizing. I can feel the glycerin in the serum and it hydrated the skin well. I do not use anything else on my face for about 12-15 hours and avoid going out. I would recommend bleaching in the evening, so that you can skip direct exposure to sunlight. Learn more about how to use oxygen bleach for face (OxyLife)

I love the fact that this is ammonia free. Whenever you bleach, go for ammonia free bleach only. My eyes get irritated and water a lot during bleach, and I was surprised that this did not irritate my eyes at all.

It fights all skin problems that come along with sun exposure, stress and pollution and gives a healthy looking radiant and glowing skin! Skin gets more oxygen, and it repairs dull skin and helps in fading acne scars/spots.

It comes in different sizes,  the one time use pack is perfect for travel too.

Overall, I am really happy with the results. It does what it claims, and I highly recommend trying this out.

May 2017 Sip Of Summer My Envy Box Review, Unboxing

May 2017 Sip Of Summer My Envy Box Review, Unboxing

Hi guys,

I received the May My Envy Box today. I absolutely love the watermelon print, it’s so refreshing and looks like water colours. Although the edges came a bit torn, the box looks real good.

MRP: Rs.850/- (Available HERE)

The theme is ‘Sip of Summer’ this month and it’s a summer edition box.

Products I received:

  • The Nature’s Co. Mango Creme Body Wash- Rs.695/- for 175ml
  • Cheryl’s Dermashade Sunblock SPF 30- Rs.550/- for 50g
  • Fuschia Herbal Fusion Shampoo (Rs.450/- for 100ml)
  • Grecobe Green Coffee (Rs.70 for 5 sachets)
  • Omorfee Mellow Drizzle Skin Toner (4ml x 2 vials)
  • L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, Reine Blanche Illuminating Cream and Serum sachets

I am super impressed with the first three products, the quantity is amazing, 3 full sized products! I have tried the Cheryl’s Sunblock before and it’s quite good. The Mango body wash is perfect for the season and smells yumm.

The Fuschia shampoo is little expensive for the price, but I haven’t tried haircare from this brand, so looking to trying that out.

Green Coffee is meant to boost metabolism and aid in weight loss and improve stamina, so you can try these sachets and see if you notice any difference, before investing in the bigger size.

Rest are small samples, the Omorfee toner looks interesting though considering it has sour honey, lavender, cucumber, rose, etc.

Overall, I would say I am pretty impressed and do recommend this month’s box. The total value of the products in the box comes to around Rs.2000/-

What did you get in your May My Envy Box?
