Shades:
01 Muslin Mauve (Mauve Nude)
02 Plush Pink (Deep Rose Pink)
03 Velvet Violet (Dark Raspberry)
04 Crêpe Coral (Peachy Coral)
05 Poplin Plum (Blackened Plum)
06 Taffeta Terracotta (Terracotta Brown)
07 Tweed Taupe (Taupe Rose)
08 Brocade Burgundy (Burgundy)
09 Felt Fawn (Grey-toned Beige Nude)
10 Satin Scarlet (Red)
It comes in a frosted, transparent packaging with a black cap. The cap of one of my lipcolour broke though, it was too tight and stuck and a part of the cap broke. However didn’t have an issue with any other lipcolour. They are formulated and manufactured in Italy.
These are different from the previous Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks. These are not drying and are very comfortable on the lips. They have a velvet matte finish and a moussey formula. They stay for about 6-7 hours. They take time to dry though, they take about 3-4 minutes to dry completely but once set, they don’t transfer. They would survive light tea, drinks, snacks, etc. but if you have a full oily meal, then these would fade from the center and will need reapplication.
Velvet Violet shade was slightly patchy, rest were all pretty good and easy to apply. You can wear these even if you have dry lips, because these don’t accentuate fine lines or suck the moisture out of your lips.
Overall I would say, I do find these a little expensive but the formulation is very good. Pick a shade if you don’t have any such similar shades already.
My favourite shades are Muslin Mauve, Taffeta Terracotta, Tweed Taupe and Felt Fawn.

The shades added this time are:
15 Stephanie Plum which is a mauve plum
16 Claire Underwood which is a yellow brown based orange
17 Brandy Herrington which is a rusty reddish pink
18 Rosalind which is a nude rose
First three shades would work for all skin tones and the last shade would work for fair to medium skin tones. Stephanie Plum and Brandy Herrington are my favourites.
All the 4 shades are perfect, everyday wear shades. Rosalind would be a nice MLBB for fair skin tones, it’s a peachy pink. Brandy Herrington looks more like a rosy brown and is an universally flattering, wearable shade. It’s neither nude nor too bright. Claire Underwood is more brown than orange. Stephanie Plum has the perfect mix of mauve and plum.
Overall, I loved all the four shades. Sugar always brings amazing colors and their formulation of lip products is fabulous. I am a big fan of the Matte As Hell Lip Crayons range and definitely recommend these.
Sugar Contour De Force Mini Highlighter 01 -Rs. 299
Nirvana Handmade Soap Orange Honey- Rs.150
Bella Voste Ulti Matte Chubby Stick- Rs.499
Vedantika Lemongrass Face Wash- Rs.150/- for 50ml
Veet Ready to use Wax Strips- Rs.99
Acne’s Purifying Face Wash- 2 sachets
I had an option to pick a combination of two makeup products this month, from varied choices. It was the Sugar Mini blush/contour/highlighter paired with either Sugar Viola Crayon sample or a full sized Bella Voste Crayon. Now I wanted to give them away to one of you and I already had all Sugar launches, so I picked the full sized Bella Voste crayon along with Sugar highlighter for one of you.
I love the shade ‘Rose Crush’ of the Bella Voste Matte Crayon, it’s a pretty rosy pink, perfect for everyday.
Champagne Champion highlighter by Sugar is also very pretty and subtle enough for daily and day time use.
I love the refreshing orange scent of the soap and the lemongrass face wash.
The face wash and Veet wax strips are perfect for travel. Veet wax strips are always handy.
The total value of all the products in this month’s bag comes to Rs.1200/- I do recommend the bag if you get a choice to pick two makeup products. You can recover the cost of the bag in those two, the other things being bonus.
I am also giving away both of these products on my youtube channel, so join HERE
So I have done my 2017 skin and hair care favourites already, read HERE. Now it’s best of 2017 – makeup time 😀 I was checking all my 2017 blog posts and I have predominantly done all makeup posts, especially lipsticks and swatches. Ya, a girl needs her lipsticks and I have way too many now 😀 Hence, this post will be long, especially the lipstick category :p
Since the past two years I had mentioned in my favourites post, that I was stuck in winged liner and matte lipsticks phase. I am still stuck with matte lips but ditched the winged liner this year, for oodles of mascara and fluttery lashes with dewy, highlighted skin. I mostly use only concealer or a BB/CC Cream as base as I prefer my base to be as light as possible. I don’t like wearing foundation everyday, it’s only for makeup tutorials and special events.
2017 comes to an end, another year passed. It feels like yesterday it was 2010, no idea where time is running. As always, my 2017 skin and hair favourites are here. I have been doing this since 6 years now and this is the 7th year 😀
Now this list is not about only new products that have been launched this year. I include all my favourites, some which I have tried this year and some which are my Holy Grail since years. Basically all products which I have used the most in 2017. We will start with skin and hair today, and then move on to makeup.

Skin:
Face Wash: Avene Cleanance Gel, Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser Kashmiri Saffron & Neem (It’s very gentle and perfect for daily use)
Face Scrub: Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub, The Body Shop Tea Tree 3 in 1, Pixi Glow Tonic, Zenmed AHA/BHA Refining Scrub (more of chemical exfoliation this year)
Oil: I didn’t oily my hair much this year 🙁 I should get back to it
Hair Scrub: The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Hair Scrub
Shampoo: Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Shampoo (Lovee this!), Wella Pro Oil Reflections Shampoo, The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo, L’Oreal Professionnel INOA Color Care Shampoo
Conditioner: Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Conditioner, The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Conditioner
Deep Conditioner: Wella Pro Oil Reflections Mask, L’Oreal Professionnel INOA Color Care Mask
These were all the products I have used and loved the most in 2017. The categories and products have reduced compared to previous years. I realize right now I haven’t been using too much for skin care, in terms of masks or exfoliation. I used multi use products which work as moisturizer/serum/oil all in one. I think I was just plain lazy this year especially the past 3-4 months. I will try and take more care of my skin and hair the next year as I just turned 30 🙂 It is all the more essential for me now to stop being lazy and give my skin some TLC.
What about you? What are your 2017 skin & hair favourites? We will cover makeup next.
If you have fine/thin hair or straight hair like mine, one of the cons is flat, limp hair. I am always looking for products which can help add volume to my hair. I have been using these two products from BBLUNT currently and have been loving the results.
Hence, I thought of sharing them with you guys.
First is the BBLUNT Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Spray
Claims: If big hair is your thing, we introduce you to your new best friend. This volumizing spray gives you incredible fullness & bounce. Go big with confidence. Specially created for Indian hair. Protects from the environment and heat styling damage.
How to Use: Flip your hair upside down and spray evenly on damp hair, focusing on the roots. Dry naturally or blow dry for full-blown volume. For maximum effect use with Full On Volume Shampoo & Conditioner.
MRP: Rs.550/-
I love the bright yellow packaging! The cap on the spray secures it perfectly. It’s a watery liquid which comes out as a spray and is to be used on damp hair, post washing.
Then you let the hair air dry naturally or blow dry. Flip hair upside down and spray it, blow dry upside down for added volume!
I love the result it gives. My hair is usually flat from the top because it’s long and straight and the weight pulls it down. BBLUNT Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Spray helps add some volume on the top making the hair look bouncy and full.
This was for damp hair. Now after 2-3 days when you hair gets flat again and scalp a little oily and you have no time to wash your hair, the BBLUNT Back to Life Dry Shampoo comes to rescue.
Claims: Instant freshness is now just a spray away. This dry shampoo does a smooth job of absorbing excess grease & grime and revamps your hair in seconds. It has a fresh floral inspired fragrance with refreshing notes. Don’t leave home without it. Specially created for Indian hair.
How to use: Shake well before use. Hold can in an upright position, six inches away from the hair & spray evenly, close to the roots. Leave it on for 2 minutes. Massage & brush thoroughly.
MRP: Rs.550/-
I have used and loved the original one, they have launched it in two new variants: Spring Fling and Beach Please. I am currently using the Spring Fling one and it smells so good!
All you need to do is shake and spray on the scalp, more where you feel it’s oily. Rub the hair and scalp, lightly massage it. And you are done! It will absorb all the oil and give a little bounce and volume
I feel they have improved the formula and it doesn’t leave any white cast on the hair or scalp now. Spring Fling has a soft, floral smell and I love this variant more than the original.
So these are the two products I am currently using and loving to add volume to my hair. I do recommend trying them out, if you haven’t already. You can buy BBLUNT products HERE
What do you do to add volume to your hair? Have you tried these products? Let me know in the comments below.
Anushka Sharma’s Makeup Artist Decodes All Her Wedding Looks
Hey guys,
So VirushkaKiShaadi has been trending everywhere since days and I won’t talk about the same venue, pictures, etc., I personally loved her makeup and outfits throughout i.e. all the days.
All her outfits and jewellery were by Sabyasachi. For makeup, she had Puneet B Saini with whom she has been working since years. They have done 7 movies and lot’s of events and promotions together.
Anushka had booked Puneet for 5 days and she had no idea about the wedding, a day before their travel 😀
So let’s decode her wedding looks, by each function.
Puneet says ‘We were in great weather so I was sure the makeup wasn’t going to move. Also with Anushka, the makeup usually stays on, we only had to touch up the lipstick. It only took us about 1.5-2 hours on each day (to get her ready), with hair and makeup going on simultaneously.’
Ring ceremony
Anushka wore a burgundy velvet saree for the ring ceremony. Puneet says ‘For the ring ceremony which was a night event, we wanted to keep the lips nude and eyes smoky. I wanted her eyes to be striking but not just have a whole lot of black around the eyes. We used a gradation of colours, my favourite aubergine and a brown with red undertones. I didn’t want the entire eye to be covered, just till the crease of the eyes.’
Mehendi
She chose a bright orange and pink lehenga with a floral crop top for her mehendi. I absolutely loved how vibrant and colourful the outfit was, perfect for a ceremony like mehendi. Puneet says ‘For the mehandi, she was wearing a lot of colours so we kept the makeup fairly basic, very wintery with cream blush, minimal makeup and lots of mascara. All the attention was going to be on her mehandi and clothes.’
She wore a blush pink lehenga with floral detailing and intricate work all over. It’s one of the most elegant lehengas I have seen, and she carried it off beautifully with matching jewellery, both by Sabyasachi. Puneet says ‘On her wedding day, the outfit was so beautiful and royal and the entire setup was a page out of a princess’ diary. We didn’t want the makeup to be too smoky or with heavy liner. I kept it very soft, we used a brown kohl and smudged it, shadows in peach-pink tones and lots of mascara. As a bride, you have so much happening on your wedding day, to balance your hair, makeup, outfit and jewellery. I’d say I wanted her to look like herself on her wedding day, that was the aesthetic. We didn’t want the makeup to look anything like it did on the night of the ring ceremony, we wanted a complete contrast. We wanted it to enhance her natural beauty.’
Apart from the ring ceremony which was a night event and she went for smoky eyes, for both mehendi and the wedding which were day time events, her makeup was very soft and natural. I have never seen a celebrity bride with simple, no fuss, beautiful and all natural makeup on her wedding day. Kudos to her to go for what she likes and not give in to peer/society pressure of looking super heavy and all decked up on the wedding day.
I myself went for natural makeup on my wedding day and I love it when brides go all natural. As the outfit and jewellery is anyway heavy, natural is what looks the best because you don’t want to add heavy makeup on heavy outfit and jewellery. But yes, to each his own. If you like heavy makeup, then surely go for it, as it’s your most special day 🙂
I liked each of the three looks and I can’t choose one. I loved the mehendi outfit and of course the wedding day. Her outfit, makeup and jewellery was all perfect on her wedding day but the most special thing was her smile from ear to ear 🙂

Massage onto the scalp to help stimulate blood flow and whisk away impurities like dust, smoke, sweat and styling residue. This purifying scrub will make your scalp feel instantly refreshed, help reduce build-up on hair and leave you feeling revitalised with a healthy-looking shine.
For normal to oily hair and scalp Gently massage to remove impurities and reduce build-up on hair Hair feels clean and purified with a healthy-looking shine Enriched with Japanese green tea and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia 100% vegetarian Formulated without silicones Scrub shampoo
MRP: Rs.1845/- for 240ml
Ingredients:
All Body Shop hair care products are silicone free. This whole range smells so fresh and citrusy, it’s very refreshing. The shampoo is clear and runny, it foams and cleanses well. The conditioner is thick to dispense from bottle, but it is not heavy or rich in texture. It does not weigh the hair down. If you have very dry hair, this conditioner won’t be moisturising enough for you. But for oily to normal hair, this conditioner is absolutely perfect.
The star of this range is the hair scrub, it’s a thick scrub with salt-like granules. The thick salt settles down, so you need to mix the scrub well before taking it. It is a scrub shampoo, so it even foams as you massage it on the scalp, the salt starts melting. The scrub is not very harsh or abrasive but it cleanses the scalp well and circulates the blood on the scalp. It also removes dirt, build up, etc., but it is a little drying. I would suggest using it once a week, not more than that.
I start with the scrub, then follow it up with the shampoo. Since the scalp is cleansed well with the scrub, the shampoo foams and cleans easily. Finally the conditioner towards the lower half of the hair.

MRP: Rs.2895/- for 350ml
Ingredients:
My favourite product of all these new launches, has to be this body scrub. It’s a clay based scrub with fine exfoliating granules. It is not at all harsh but still scrubs the skin well. This scrub is literally a spa in a jar! It is exactly like the body scrubs they use in spas. When you take the product on your fingers and start massaging it on the body, it feels slightly warm, I believe it heats up on massaging and in contact with the skin. Then it scrubs the dead skin cells really well without even feeling like a scrub. I assumed it would be a little drying since it’s clay based, but it has oils in it, so in turn it leaves the skin moisturized and my skin feels soft like a baby’s bum! Literally. My skin doesn’t crave a moisturizer after using this, even in these winters. I skipped it once, and it felt fine. This is the best body scrub I have used till now, hands down!
It is neither drying not overly rich/oily. It is nothing like those usual oil/sugar/coffee based scrubs! I highly recommend getting this.
Though I loved all the new launches this time, if I have to absolutely pick a few and recommend, I would go with the Grape Seed Body Scrub and the Fuji Green Tea Hair Scrub! I am sure you will love them!
Have you tried any new The Body Shop launches yet?
IsaDora Twist-Up Matt Lips Super Pink, Queen of Roses, Purple Prune Review, Swatches
By Linda
Hello Ladies,
Hope you all are glamorous as always. Here is another review of three shades of lipstick (we all cannot live without lipsticks). There has been an uprising demand for matte colors for a past few years. And as per my experience, bright bold colors look at its best when available in matte textures. Unfortunately I struggle with matte shades since I have dry lips and that would chap on application of matte lipsticks (be it high end ones too). Eventually I would get irritated and take off the lipstick.
I started looking for lipsticks that would give me matte finish and at the same time also moisture my lips throughout. And this is how I came across Isa Dora Matt Twist Up Lipstick. This is easily available at drug stores. There are total 13 shades in this range but I will be reviewing shade 58 Super Pink, 64 Queen of Roses, 66 Purple Prune.
What IsaDora Claims: Twist-up Matt Lips is a creamy yet lightweight lipstick that gives a velvet matte finish to your lips. Intense and long lasting formula. Infused with moisturizing and protective ingredients for a comfortable wear – no dry feeling.
These lipsticks come in a retractable twist and turn jumbo pen (as the product name). The shade of lipstick can be easily seen on the cap and the bottom of the lipstick tube. Light weight, can be easily carried where ever you go.
The texture of this product is extremely soft and creamy on application without pulling your lips. Highly pigmented with minimal transfer. The tip of the lipstick helps you to easily define your lip line. No sharpener is required since the tip is shaped in a special manner.
Cost: 7 KWD (INR 1190 on Nykaa and Shoppers Stop stores) for 3.3 g/.11 oz
My take on these lippies
These lipsticks can be used for everyday use or for any occasions depending on the look you need to carry. It does feel velvety on application and long lasting pigmented shade for good 4-5 hours. My lips felt moisturized throughout. It did seep into the fine lines of my lips initially but blotting with tissue paper will help. Tad bit amount would transfer on the cups upon drinking. I did not require a lip liner as this product did not smudge at all.
The three shades I picked are
Shade 58 Super Pink: A bubble gum pink shade. Looks amazing for a day time look.
Shade 64 Queen of Roses: This shade has a red pink undertone. I’m totally in love with this shade. It’s buildable, and you can achieve a deep color on several swipes. I dab it around my cheeks too to get a flushed cheek look. Highly recommend this shade, as most of the skin tones can carry it.
Shade 66 Purple Prune: This is a medium berry shade with purple undertones. This shade can be worn all day but I personally prefer wearing dark shades for evening or night time occasions.
Pros
Velvet Matte Finish
Creamy, soft application
Light weight packaging
No sharpener required
Shades available can be used by most of the skintones
Travel friendly, light weight packaging
Long-lasting
Cons
Little expensive
Could settle in the fine lines
Overall, I feel these are quite good. The packaging is interesting, the shades are nice and I definitely recommend these.
