Plum Smokey Eyes for Diwali with L’Oreal Paris Festive Fever
Hi guys,
I got a few things from the L’Oreal Paris Festive Fever collection. This collection has a range of products apt for the current festive season i.e. Diwali.
I got the Color Riche La Palette Nude in Rose, I think they have this floral design on on eye shadow for this special occasion, coz I haven’t seen in that usual palettes.
The Color Riche Les Ombre Eyeshadow in Midnight Rose, Color Riche Le Smoky Eyeliner Pencil in Black Velour. The eye pencil is amazing! Super creamy, super pigmented, stays long, comes with a smudger behind. Tough competition with my favourites Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate and Colorbar Just Smoky Just Black.
Then we have the Lucent Magique Blush in Sunset Glow, Super Liner Gel Intenza in Sapphire Blue. The Gel Intenza Gel liners are my favourites, I have all three shades and highly recommend these to everyone!
The Super Liner Perfect Slim, which I guess is a new launch in India. I love felt tip pen eyeliners and only use those, can’t wait to try this one.
L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Powder, Volume Million Lashes Mascara which is my favourite! And last but not the least, the Moist Matte Lipstick In Blaze of Red. I love the moist matte formula and they are one of my favourite range in L’Oreal Paris.
I came up with this plum smokey eyes using these products..
I used my L’Oreal Paris Infallible Foundation for the base and set it with the True Match Super Blendable Powder. The Lucent Magique Sunset Glow Blush for the blush and highlight. For my eyes, I used the Le Smoky Pencil in Black first to line my upper lashline and smudged it softly. I used the plum shade all over the lid and the warm light brown in the crease and for blending. I used the soft pink eye shadow in the inner corners and the matte off white shade on my brow bone. I used the Le Smoky Pencil for both waterline and tightlining and smoked the lower lash line with the same plum and brown. Finally finished with the Volume Million Lashes Mascara, two coats on both upper and lower lashes.
And the Moist Matte Lipstick in Blaze of Red to end.
I hope you like the look, do let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Also what look are you sporting this Diwali?
P.S.: I wanted to record a video for this look, but my camera battery charger is not working. I have been going crazy in finding a charger as even the authorized service center or dealer do not have it and apparently no one stocks accessories. Kind of weird, but how does one use the camera without the charger. Highly disappointed in Nikon!
Indian Makeup Tutorial for College/Work | Drugstore
Hi guys,
I am doing this simple college/work appropriate makeup look using just 6-7 products. Also all products are drugstore and I have only use one makeup brush.
This look can be done in 5 minutes and is perfect for your everyday college/work.
That’s it. The blush is optional, you may or may not use it. Also you can go for any base i.e. any BB Cream/tinted moisturiser which works for your skin type and shade. You can also skip the concealer if you don’t have problematic skin or dark circles.
If you have oily skin, make sure you powder and if you have dry skin, you can just carry it along for touch up on T zone later.
I hope you like the look, do let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Maybelline India Blushed Nudes Palette Review, Swatches, Tutorial
Hi guys,
I have been playing with The Blushed Nudes Palette and also created this look you see here.
What the Company claims: With all the things you’ll love about the new Blushed Nudes Palette, here are a few more:
– 12 rose-gold infused shades
– Easily blend-able
– Creates countless looks
– Compliments every skin tone
MRP: Rs.899/- for 9g
They have 13 different eye shadow combinations given behind, same like in the original Nudes, and that’s a very interesting idea. I can’t wait to try some of these looks.
The packaging of the palette is exactly like the original Nudes Palette and the pricing is also the same. It comes with a small applicator which has a sponge tip on one side and a brush on one side. The brush is pretty good for using in the inner corners or highlighting brow bone.
The palette is quite handy and small to carry along. It does not come with a mirror sadly, I would have loved a mirror.
The original Nudes Palette had all warm shades and more of browns, this palette has more pinks and grays and all cool toned shades. While the original Nudes Palette was supposed to pretty similar shades wise to the Urban Decay Naked Palette, this one the Blushed Nudes is very close shade wise to the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.
If you follow me on Snapchat (bhumika_t), you must have seen a comparision of this palette with the same one in US and the shades are quite different, a lot of you took screenshot of that image coz the palette was quite different. I believe the US palette has more pinks and mauves and lighter shades and those shades might not show up on all Indian skintones, so they kept more of greys and darker shades in the Indian palette.
There are mostly satin finish shades, with one deep plum shade being shimmery and there are two mattes. One is a greyish taupe shade which is not that pigmented and the other is a matte white shade which is pretty decent.
Most of the shades are pretty pigmented while few are not that good and need a lot of layering for the colors to show up. But they stay on pretty good throughout the day once applied, more longer with a primer. They do not crease but the finish is not as fresh and slightly fade at the end of the day.
Here are the swatches:
TOP ROW:
The top row has all whites, peaches and pinks
BOTTOM ROW:
The bottom row has greys, taupes and purples.
I created this pink smokey eye look with this palette..
Overall I would say, this is a decent palette and worth checking out. We do not have many palette options available in India, and hardly any cool toned or pink-gray based. For the price, this is definitely pretty good. I do recommend this.
I hope you liked the look, do let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Have you tried the new Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette yet?
I have used the purple eyeshadow crayon as base and the deep purple eyeshadow on top of that. Concentrated the purple on the inner and outer corners to give a halo effect for the duochrome at the center.
Another way to use it would be the duochrome on the entire lid and the deep purple at the outer V and outer half of lower lashline only. That would also be slightly smokey but would have more concentration on the gorgeous duochrome. I would try that next.
I loved how the look turned up, do let me know your thoughts in the comments below. And also if you try either of the two looks, do tag me, I would love to see it.
