L’oreal Paris Kajal Magique Review, Swatches What the Company claims: Line your eyes with a stroke of sheer magic L’Oréal Paris launches Kajal Magique – the first ever Kajal from the brand You can speak volumes with your eyes and the best way to highlight them is with the ever-favorite kajal. L’Oréal Paris, the world’s #1 beauty brand launches Kajal Magique, its first ever Kajal in India. L’Oréal Paris as a brand is known to create products that match the needs of the contemporary Indian women, and this kajal is the perfect tool to craft gorgeous eye looks. So go bold, smoky, or let creativity take over your eyes. L’Oréal Paris Kajal Magique is supremely black and doubles up as a darker-than-night eyeliner. It is powered with a new generation formula and mineral pigments for a deep intense color payoff. Along with providing a great finish, it is also enriched with ingredients like Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil Esters and Vitamin C Derivative, which provide extraordinary care and a soothing feeling to the eyes. Since it is ophthalmologically tested, it is safe and suitable for contact lens wearers. Designed to last for up to 12 hours, Kajal Magique is smudge proof, waterproof and non-transferable.
The product is priced at Rs. 245 (for 0.35g) and is available across all L’Oréal Paris boutiques and counters.
L’oreal Paris has launched its first ever Kajal in India..a tough competition from the already existing Maybelline Colossal Kajal and Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in the market.. Both Lakme and Maybelline are 0.35g. Lakme has also launched 5 new shades in the Eyeconic range.
So how does this L’oreal Paris Kajal Magique fare ? Read on..
First of all, I loved the black and fuchsia packaging..quite a combo..It has the same swivel up mechanism..has the same qty..and is equally travel friendly as others..
Coming to the pigmentation..its not the darkest black in one swipe per se..but when you layer it on your waterline…its gets quite intense and dark..
Thats the whole quantity
About the staying power, it is quite long lasting indeed ! No kajal stays on my waterline for long..but this one did..on my waterline it stays for a good 5-6 hours..and then fades a little but does not go away completely..and on my upper lashline..it stayed the whole day..10+ hours.
Pros:
1. Nice packaging.
2. Travel friendly.
3. Is quite smooth and glides on well.
4. Does not smudge or give raccoon eyes.
5. Staying power is amazing..both on the waterline and on the upper lashline.
6, Works well as an eyeliner.
Cons:
1. Finishes up soon..as you need to layer it for more intensity..this finishes up pretty soon.
2. Does not stay for 12 hours as claimed and not completely water proof.
Overall, I would say its pretty nice in terms of staying power..and if it was more deeper jet black, it would have been the best kajal in town..but since it needs to be layered for that intensity, it finishes up quicker too..and also its priced a little higher than the counterparts..
But if you want a long staying kajal, then I highly recommend this !
Lakme Presents New Eyeconic White and 4 other shades of Eyeconic Kajal
GO EYECONIC WITH WHITE BREAK THE CODES WITH WHITE ON YOUR EYES THIS NEW YEAR
LAKME LAUNCHES 5 NEW SHADES IN THE EYECONIC KAJAL PORTFOLIO
After the phenomenal success of Lakmé Eyeconic Black Kajal, Lakmé brings home yet another international trend in the form of Lakmé Eyeconic White- an innovation that’s likely to break all codes of traditional kajal usage’. For years, the black kajal has remained an integral part of an Indian woman’s beauty regime, but the new Lakmé Eyeconic White promises to change the game for eye make-up. Spotted at several runways internationally this is a first of its kind introduction by Lakmé in India. Along with white, Lakmé also introduces four must-have shades of brown, blue, grey and green to the Eyeconic collection.
The Eyeconic shades by Lakmé are easy to apply and require zero maintenance, just like your regular black. In merely one stroke the kajal promises a smudge-free professional finish up to 10 hours. It comes with a waterproof formulation that allows one to be carefree while washing face or even travelling. It is dermatologically tested and is safe to apply with its two-way retractable twist-up format.
Talking about this new high-performance product, Arun Srinivas, VP Skin Care and Makeup, Lakmé says, “Indian women love to accentuate their eyes and the kajal remains an irreplaceable favourite. The success of Eyeconic Black encouraged us to look beyond the ordinary and we realize that our consumers are looking for subtle yet strong beauty statements that can enhance their overall look. Bearing this in mind, we now introduce the Eyeconic White – first of its kind innovation with a unique white packaging along with four more interesting shades that will take eye makeup to a new direction altogether.”
Speaking about the outstanding looks created for Eyeconic’s new range, Natasha Nischol, Lakmé Make-up Expert mentions, “The new range of Eyeconic is extremely unique and promising. White is an exciting color for the eyes, which can be used in the waterline to open up your eyes, or in the inner corners for the hint of brightness. Alternately you could also use it on the upper eye lids alone or with another color for a more dramatic effect. We have crafted some amazing looks with Kareena Kapoor to showcase the potential of this unusual color. Each color from the range is very unique and thoughtfully chosen to suit the Indian skin type. As a make-up professional, I am confident that this launch will surely create waves in the beauty and fashion scene in India.”
To get you started, Natasha Nischol has shared a cheat sheet with some quick eye looks to help you perfect the ‘white eye look’ this season.

Shades of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal are priced at Rs 250 (0.35 gm) and will be available at all leading beauty stores starting 21st December 2013. I personally would have loved a nude shade too ! How I wish they had added a nude..I prefer the softer nude on waterline than the stark white.. But I am quite excited to try out the brown and green..and I also want a purple ! :/

Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector SPF 30

Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.550/- for 30ml
It comes in a silver flat tube packaging with a black cap..and a nozzle dispensor..
Its quite thick like a foundation and is very moisturising..would work for people with dry skin..for oily skin, this would turn out to be rich…coverage is pretty ok..suitable for daily use when you don’t need heavy coverage.
It has SPF 30 and many sunscreen ingredients..it also smells a little like sunscreen..stays on for 4-5 hours after which needs touch up..since I am combination skin..my T-zone gets oily and needs touch up.
I have the shade 020 Light/Medium which is a good match for me..
Pros:
1. Nice packaging. 2. Has SPF 30 3. Perfect for dry skin. 4. Travel friendly. 5. Good for daily use..and covers sunscreen needs too.
Cons:
1. Rich for oily skin. 2. Expensive compared to other BB Creams in the market. 3. Coverage could have been better.
Overall I would say its nice to try if you have dry skin and do not need much coverage..otherwise can skip.

Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
What the Company claims: Get glamorous, big volume lashes from every angle Lashes look 100% more magnified, multiplied, amplified*. Award winning. *with two coats
Unique ultra reflective Mirror Sheen formula smoothes, reflects and magnifies every lash for dramatic, professional looking lashes.
Lash finding brush with rounded tip easily reaches every single lash for maximum dimension. Available in 2 waterproof shades: Blackest Black and Blackened Brown
Also available in 3 non–waterproof shades: Blackest Black, Black and Blackened Brown
EXPERT TIPS
How to get glamorous, big volume lashes: 1) Apply the mascara to the upper lashes from root to tip 2) Apply once again in order to build more volume and length 3) Use specially designed lash finding brush tip to capture and fan out every lash
Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.695/- for 10ml
The tube and wand comes separately in the packaging. As you can see the white wand..bristles are separate and dense.
The same way as the wand is..it separates each lash and coats each lash well..and also lengthens and combs my lashes..the wand is flexible and easy to use and get the right amount of mascara on it..the blackest black is quite a rich black color..and this stays on for whole day..and is waterproof…but did not give much pain to remove.
It does not weigh down my lashes and also gives a little curl and holds onto the curl if you have used an eyelash curler.
I really like this..I am also asked by a few if I am wearing false lashes when I have this mascara on 😀
Only issue is if 2nd coat is applied after the first dries, it starts clumping at times. So you need to apply 2 coats (if you want) quickly and let it dry later. And it feels a little dry on the lashes. And it sure is a little expensive.

Blue Nile has a creamy ink blue on one end and a creamy white on the other..I am not a fan of such blues..they look pathetic on me :/
I liked the white for the waterline though I would prefer nudes as they are more subtle..can used white at times for a few looks..
Both ends are creamy and do not tug or pull..the blue stays whole day on the upper lashline with minimal smudging..on lower lashline it wears off in 5-6 hours. When blue is used on the lower lashline, it mixes with the white in the waterline and does not look good..I would prefer using the darker color on the upper lashline only.
I would like to try the Black or Emerald (for the nude liner side). Blue is not my color.

New Maybelline 12H Colossal Kajal Review, Swatches
I had reviewed the Maybelline Colossal Kajal previously HERE. Now they have relaunched it in a darker and more long staying form..the previous one claimed 6 hours of wear and this one claims 12 hours..
Read on to know how it fares..
What the Company claims:
MRP: Rs.175/- for 0.35g
The packaging is the same..the same yellow swivel up mechanical pencil. Its nice, rich black and easy to apply..does not tug or pull.
Thats the whole qty
I did not like the previous one much..as it did not stay longer on my watery eyes..in fact no kohl stays longer than 2-3 hours on me..
But but this one did ! For almost 5-6 hours which is a very good thing considering my watery eyes. But it does smudge a little more than the previous one..that did not spread around giving raccoon eyes..this one does at times..
Here is the swatch..
L: Swatch R: After smudging
And on eyes..
Before, After
Pros:
1. Its nice dark black.
2. Glides on nicely..no tugging or pulling.
3. Reasonably priced.
4. Stays for 5-6 hours on my watery eyes ! Thats a long time for me 😀
5. It does not go away completely leaving your eyes bare..and there is always a hint of it till the time you remove it.
6. Does not smear much..the swatch did not budge from the hand.
Cons:
1. Claim of 12 hours..I am not really sure about.
2. No Ingredients mentioned.
3. Does give raccoon eyes at times..especially when eyes watery.
Rating:
Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 4/5
Overall Rating: 3.75/5
Would I buy it again: Yes..I am pretty impressed by the staying power of this..much better than the previous one..

1. They are pocket friendly..not very expensive.
2. The shades are all nice and dark.
3. They are tested to be suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
4. They are waterline safe and do no irritate eyes.
5. They are made in Czech Republic.
6. This makes lining my upper lashline very easy.
7. They do not tug and glide on easily.
8. They do last long on my upper lashline.
9. These are blendable and can be smudged and used as eye shadows.
10.They sharpen easily and there is no much waste of product.
11.They are in pencil form so you can sharpen them and keep away from microbes for those who are more towards hygiene and don’t prefer mechanical pencils.
12.They are travel friendly.
13.They come off with a normal cleanser.
Cons :
1. They smudge a lot when used on the lower lashline but then they never claimed to be smudge proof or water proof.
2. They do not last 16 hours as claimed !! But ya these last 5-6 hours normally but less on the waterline and the Blue Virtuose smudges horribly when used on lower lashline.
Overall rating : 3.5/5
Would I buy it again- Yes ..love it for my upper lashline. I find it convenient, quick and easy as I have shaky hands and take more time with liquid liners.Plus I can carry this along with me if I need to.
