It comes in a small glass bottle pump packaging with a cap to cover that shuts perfectly tight..and had a seal at the start..for authenticity.
Its a transparent watery gel in texture..not too runny..and does’nt give any strong Vitamin C smell which is normally found in Vit C products..also it blends in well and is quiet light weight and non greasy.
But it does not moisturise and definitely need a separate moisturiser. And also what I noticed is, it sits on the face like a layer and does not get absorbed..and when you wash your face, you notice the slippery layer going away.
As far as the effect goes, I saw minor reduction and fading in 2-3 spots after continued usage. And cannot comment on lines or wrinkles coz I don’t have them. But there is not brightening as such.
Actually, Vitamin C serums have never worked that great on my skin..had the same experience with Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Concentrate..it did not do anything much for me..Instead Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate worked better for me..and skin was brighter and glowing whenever I used that..same with this..the Kaya Brightening Serum which I reviewed HERE worked great for me than this.
So, I would recommend this to people on whom Vitamin C works or may be try it out at the clinic first. For me, if I had to choose one, I would go with the Kaya Brightening Serum.

5. Continued usage helps in fading spots..and might help in wrinkles and lines too.

I have been using this Kaya Brightening Serum from more than a month..and how does it fare..lets find out..
This serum comes in a thick white glass bottle with a steel colored plastic cap which has a dropper to get the perfect quantity you need…I like the packaging..but since it is glass, I am always afraid it will drop and break :/
Coming to the texture of this serum, it is plain and colorless like water. And very very light in texture..it gets absorbed in a jiffy..and no oiliness or any serum applied feeling.
It can be used both day and night..I use it more religiously as a part of night routine..and the next morning, I see a brighter glowing skin with less redness or unevenness and if one has acne marks or spots..even those would reduce..and the change is quite visible each and everyday….within a week you see and feel a difference in your skin.
Now I also take a break in between to see if the effects of a certain product are temporary..and yes, when I stopped using it, not that skin started looking dull immediately or something like that..but the brightness I used to get using this serum…slowly reduced and skin went back to looking the normal.
But I love the effects of it..not that they dont stay long..but ya I cannot even expect a product I use for a month to give me lifetime brightness and glow 😀
I dont mind using it regularly..since it is giving me a brighter, beautiful, glowing skin..and I guess no girl would :p

2) What are the easy tips to keep the skin healthy and not dry?
— Drink adequate water — Eat balanced food containing all nutrients. Include vegetables, fruits, and fresh fish in your daily food intake. — Avoid alcohol and coffee. Both will dehydrate the skin and predispose to more drying and itching. — Avoid using harsh soaps. Soap free cleansers containing moisturizers are safe choices. — Using a humidifier inside the house will help keep the skin moist even during winter. — Exercise will help produce sweat and increase blood flow to the skin, which will improve the hydration of the skin. — Colloidal oat meal baths, in addition to their action of preventing water loss, also soothe the skin. — Apply a good moisturizing cream or lotion immediately after bath, before the body dries up. This will trap the moisture inside and keep skin soft and supple
3) Homemade packs which can help in keeping the skin better in winters
— Mix honey and milk and apply on the face. Mix half-a-cup honey to your bath water for soft and smooth skin. — Aloe Vera also helps to remove dead skin cells and is soothing, healing, and moisturizing. Hence, aloe Vera gel can be applied topically on affected areas. — A facemask comprising of egg white and honey gently removes the tan from your face. — For oily skin type – Soak Multani Mitti and mint powder in yoghurt for 30 minutes and mix them well by beating. Apply it on face for 15 minutes and leave it to dry. Then wash off with lukewarm water. After that, rinse by cold water.
4) Do’s and don’ts to take care of skin in winters.
Do’s — Use soap – free moisturizing cleansers for face as well as body — Can add emollient oil to bath water (1-2 drops per bucket of water) — Apply moisturizer immediately after patting dry — Use a moisturizing sunscreen on exposed body parts, 20 minutes before stepping out in the Sun — Use a moisturizer twice or thrice a day — Use a night cream (long acting moisturizer) on face and body before sleeping — For oily skin, use light moisturizer, those specifically suited for oily skin — For hair, use mild moisturizing shampoo and condition hair every time after shampoo — Trim the split ends — For frizzy hair, use leave-on condition

5) Hair care during winters
The tips below will help keep your hair healthy during winter months – — Do not shampoo your hair too often — Avoid taking hot showers or washing your hair in very hot water, use warm or cool water instead — A leave-in conditioner works wonders for dry and brittle hair — Avoid using heated appliances as much as possible. When I went to Kaya, I consulted the doc and got a skin analysis done..she showed me the areas where I have pigmentation..there were dead skin cells and tanned areas like forehead…ewww it looked bad :/
She suggested Skin Lightening Peels or Aqua Fairness Luxe..and explained both the procedures..I went for the Aqua Fairness Luxe..
I was introduced to my attendant..she was quite good..and made sure I was comfortable..and explained everything step by step..and answered all my queries..since it is something related to my face and skin and this was just 2 days before my engagement..yes I was wary !
Aqua Fairness Luxe consists of five stages..let me explain the whole procedure..
Stage 1: Lymphatic Drainage
Water jet peel technology is used for this..a pen shaped nozzle dispensor is used to dispense compressed air consisting of saline water all over the face..the velocity is low..and it pulls across the dead skin cells to one side..i.e the outside corners. Its done twice all over the face.
Stage 2: Exfoliation
The same dispensor and machine is used, this time with more velocity and more closer to the skin..to exfoliate the dead skin cells from the skin. Even this is done twice all over the face.
Stage 3: 10% Glycolic Infusion
The same machine is used to infuse 10% glycolic peel all over the face..it tingles a little which is very normal..and is kept for a minute. Then its washed off and a cooling neutralizing cream is applied. She extracted my black and white heads later on.
Stage 4: Massage
Face was massaged with aloe vera gel later on for 10-15 minutes.
Stage 5: Brightening Mask
A brightening mask was applied on the skin which was to be kept for 20 minutes and eye pads and blanket..I just dozed off :p

It is advisable to undertake 3 sessions of this service at a gap of 15 days to enjoy best results- even toned, flawless skin.
I totally loved it !! And surely going for more of these..highly recommend trying this out..only after the consultation with the doctor though..

3. Skin feels smooth and matte the next day too.
