Lakme launched the Enrich Lipsticks in a new Matte formula. Remember the Enrich Satin lipsticks in their classic maroon packaging, then they revamped the packaging to this transparent one. And now they have launched 20 shades in a matte formula.
I have 4 of these and here are my thoughts on it..
Claims: The new Lakmé Enrich Matte will be available in 20 vibrant shades, and come in a spectrum of pinks, browns, light and dark colours, all designed to match every skin tone.
These attractive new matte lipsticks are extremely comfortable to wear thanks to their creamy texture, making it the best of both worlds! Its intense colour delivery has no drag while applying and prevents from drying those luscious lips. It has Vitamin E and olive extracts to replenish the lips while hydrating them.
The transparent containers have a silver matte sleeve that even helps you distinguish between the Enrich Matte and the Enrich Satin, so you don’t mix them up in your make up bag!
They have a silver matte sleeve and I absolutely love the packaging. The Enrich Satin lipsticks are priced at Rs.260 and have 4.3g, this is matte formula plus quantity is 4.7g
They smell a little sickly sweet, exactly like the Enrich Satin Lipsticks. And also they don’t have names as usual. They are named PM, OM, WM, RM for Pink Matte, Orange Matte, Wine Matte, Red Matte, etc.
The shades are super pigmented and two swipes will even cover the most pigmented lips. They apply smooth on the lips and do not drag at all. They have a creamy matte finish which is very comfortable. It’s neither glossy nor matte like liquid matte lipsticks. It is just the formula what a matte lipstick can be.
They wear for 3-4 hours and leave behind a tint which stays for a long time, through the day. You need a good makeup remover to remove the strong stain it leaves on lips. With eating, it stays for about 3 hours, it does fade, but doesn’t go away. You will not need immediate reapplication, but once reapplied, it stays put the whole day! It does settle into fine lines though, you need to exfoliate and moisturize lips well before using.

I have the shades PM11, RM13, WM10 and OM11
PM11 is a super pretty neutral pink, this will work for all skin tones. It was slightly patchy though compared to the rest three which were super smooth.
RM13 is a deep maroon/burgundy red, it looks neutral on the lips though. A gorgeous red, must say
WM10 is a deep plum wine. It is the most unique wine shade in my stash, love this color!
OM11 is a deep rust orange, absolutely love this shade! It is super smooth and goes the creamiest.

Sorry for the Pink Matte swatch, it didn’t look so dry and patchy in person, but as I mentioned this one is not the smoothest.
I love each of the four shades and cannot pick one favourite. I can’t wait to check out the rest of the 14 shades, especially nudes.
Except the smell, no shade names and the stain being a little difficult to remove, I have no cons.
Overall I would say Lakme killed it with this launch!! So so glad Lakme launched affordable matte lipsticks in a beautiful array of colors, can’t be happier! Kudos Lakme, absolutely highly recommend these, worth every penny.

Have you tried the new Lakme Enrich Matte Lipsticks?
I have been playing with the new Lakme Absolute Illuminate and Shine Range since the past one week.
The range has 3 new eyeliners called Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist, 15 shades of lipsticks called the Lakme Absolute Illuminating Lip Shimmer, 2 eyeshadow Palettes with 6 eyeshadows each in Gold and Silver i.e one with warm and daytime colors and one with cool and night time/smokey colors. And finally 10 gorgeous glitter nail paints which I believe are not out yet.
As you can notice, the whole range is about shimmer and glitter. I have 3 lipsticks and all 3 eyeliners with me, and the Gold Palette. These are already available online, so I thought of swatching them, in case you would like to buy them online, coz they are on discount on Amazon.

The eyeliner comes in this long, slender retractable packaging with a rubber grip to hold it well. It is super pigmented and with one swipe, you get the perfect, opaque color. The three shades available are Burnished Brown, Blue Sapphire and Emerald Green.
All three shades are true to its name and gorgeous. If you are not a color person, definitely get Burnished Brown!
The lipsticks I have are Tropical Shine, Pink Flash and Crimson Blink. All the shades have shimmer in them, but are super pigmented and give opaque coverage. Pink Flash doesn’t have gold or silver shimmer but self pink shimmer, hence it is not reflective.
And the palette in Gold has neutral shades from brown, nudes, taupes to olives.
This range is definitely expensive and I was not expecting such high prices :/ I absolutely love the Precision Eye Artist, they are super creamy, pigmented and amazing to work with. Definitely recommend those. In Lip Shimmers, shades like Tropical Shine, Rose Gold are very unique and pretty and perfect for weddings/brides.

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Pink Bureau Review, Swatches

INTRODUCTION
It is all about matte now-a-days. Although I am a big fan of chubby lip colors and the ultra-matte liquid lipsticks, I always find my way back to lipstick bullets when I am heading out to college. For daytime, I always stick to the mundane soft pink lip colors and Lakme 9 to 5 is the apt range for this. They have around 38 shades of various browns, reds and pinks to offer. I have used 2-3colors from this range few years back and was pretty impressed. This year I picked a beautiful pink color for daytime called Pink Bureau. Here’s my review on the product.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – Lakmé Nine to Five brings you a range of 38 shades that sit on your lips all day long. Enriched with Vitamin E; it conditions your lips & softens them with wheat germ oil. So, perk those soft, smooth lips with a touch of matte.

MY REVIEW
Packaging – The first and foremost reason I am attracted to this range of lip colors is their gorgeous packaging. The rose gold colored lipstick bullets is something like a beautiful possession in my handbag. Kudos to Lakme for blending two beautiful things women adore – rose and gold. The lipstick comes in a light weight rose gold body with the twist open function. It shuts really tight and hence easy to travel with. The lipstick is further encased in a cardboard box of tea rose color.
Shade – The shade is a soft rose pink with micro golden shimmer particles. The color has a natural warmth to it and is specifically tailored to suit each and every complexion. For fair skin tones, it will comes out as a lively pink (not loud though), for medium to dusky skin it will appear as nice soft coral pink while for deeper complexions, it will be an MLBB pink. The gold shimmers are not very visible but their presence gives a duo chrome touch to the lips under sunlight.
Pigmentation – The pigmentation is really great. With single swipe you can get an opaque layer. It successfully hides and conceal every blemishes and discolorations on lips and you won’t even need a lip concealer underneath. It applies evenly on the lips and there isn’t any patchy layer at all. The color doesn’t bleed at all and you won’t even require a lip liner underneath to bring out the dynamism of the lipstick.
Texture – Texture wise, I would call it powdery matte. The texture reminds me so much of the beloved Chambor Powder Matte I have used before and glides on the lips with a velvet touch. Although there are shimmers but it doesn’t feel even tad bit abrasive at all. Now, the downside is it feels dry. It isn’t very forgiving at all if you have dry lips. So make sure you have exfoliated and well-nourished the lips with a nice and hydrated lip balm underneath. Also, the texture is smooth but if you try to go more than two coats, you will realize that lipsticks can look super cakey.
Finish – the finish is soft matte from the very beginning. I wouldn’t call it as dry as lip creams but the enriching presence of Vitamin E gives a nourished look. However, do not expect it to hydrate your lips at all. The gold shimmers starts being prominent once the color loses it vivacity with the passage of time. It won’t look gaudy but slightly shiny. The lipstick also transfer a lot to cups and spoons while eating.
Staying Power – the staying is definite not 9 to 5 as claims but it does survives around 4-5hours easily. It can subsist even after small snacks or brunch but definitely not a full course meal. After meal, you would need a slight retouch by dabbing the color onto the lips. It fades off leaving a trail of pinkish golden hue to the lips and I realized there isn’t any patchiness even though the lip color felt dry. For the price, I think they have beautiful texture and staying power.
OVERALL – the Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick Pink Bureau is a gorgeous and muted pink to worn at any time and it gives a soft touch of pink during daytime. It has a wonderful powder matte texture with amazing pigmentation and fairly long staying power.
WHAT I LIKED

WHAT I DISLIKED
Formula is drying and unforgiving for dry lips.
It may look cakey if too many layers are applied.
The shimmer becomes prominent once the color starts fading.
RATING – 4/5
RECOMMENDATION – with 38 shades to choose from, the Lakme 9 to 5 range of Lipsticks surely deserves recommendation. The price are perfect and often on discounts. The colors are soft and perfect for daytime and the texture and finish are on point. I would highly recommend this color as well as the range for the versatility of soft daytime shades.
Editor’s Note: Totally agree on the gorgeous packaging, I have no idea why they have added gold shimmer to the beautiful matte pinks. I have the shade Peony Goal which is again a beautiful nude pink but even that has shimmer, I do not like shimmer in my lipsticks.
This is a brand familiar to every girl. Before we grew up and lusted on brands like L’Oréal Paris, MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc, Lakme is all we knew. There range of products were phenomenal and still now a rage in the beauty industry. The array of products provided by this brand has become cult favorite of every women. The best thing about Lakme is they know the exact need of every women and has an entire range dedicated for that. The Classics include some great budget friendly options while 9to5 has subtle colors and products for professional purpose. The Absolute Range, endorsed by the beauty icon Kareena Kapoor, has some amazing products and professional look.
Coming to today’s list of top 10 products from Lakme, it is indeed the toughest to choose. Even if I go for top 20, the list wouldn’t be complete for Lakme. Seldom have their launches failed and each and every product has a beauty of their own. You know they say that you can’t have it all, right? The same goes for this list. Please forgive me if I have not added your favorite product in the list. Read on to know the raved Lakme products in India. 1. Lakme CC Cream (MRP: Rs.275/-) – a great multi-functional cream for all those busy women who needs to even out their skin tone yet wants to make it quick. Loaded with mild SPF 20, brightening agents add a certain glow to brighten your skin, conceals faded marks and refreshes the skin, this is like a must have! One more thing that is raving about this CC cream and sets part from other is that it is extremely flexible for the skin type. It suits every skin type – it hydrates the dry skin while gives a non-greasy look to the oily skin all-round the year. To make it look matte, you simply need to dab a mattifying powder and you are good to go.
2. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal{210 INR(BLACK) 275 INR (COLOR)}– with a staple black color and also other 5 colors, very recently to added few more shades to the eyeconic kohl group. If you are a fan of creamy kajals that gives a total smudge free and water proof look even in summers for around 6-7hours, you are absolutely digging this one. I have tried so many kajals like any obsessive makeup lover but always come back to this. Moreover, the colors are matte, creamy and looks drop dead gorgeous!
3. Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks(INR 260)– probably the oldest and budget friendly range of lipsticks in India which have been used by woman from every walk of life. The packaging has been very recently revamped to the steel body which looks glorious. The new shade collection and packaging has been an instant hit and received appreciation from everywhere. They have some amazing red, browns and pinks for every occasion. The finish is satin velvety and hydrates the lips as well. For such a budget friendly price tag, buy at least one from this beautiful range.
4. Lakme 9 to 5 Foundation (INR 575) – 9 to 5 is personally my favorite range and the quality is as remarkable as it gets. Out of every product of this range, my favorite is the foundation which seem to be the right match for me. It is brightening yet looks like my own skin. The beauty of the foundation lies in its texture which can also be blended with the finger tips when you are in a hurry. It works for all skin tones and gives a sheer to buildable coverage. The staying power is good hardly requires touch ups. Now they have come up with the revamped formula and packaging, the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation.
5. Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints – chubby lip balms are becoming a craze now a days and also the ‘matte’ mania in the beauty industry. Our very own Lakmé has brought forward the Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints which are both chubby and matte. With a soft texture that glides like a dream yet settles matte along with an amazing pigmentation, the lip tints were an instant hit when it launched. Although it has 6 shades, every shade is absolutely stunning.
6. Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate (INR 700) – Lakmé’s Absolute Kohl Ultimate known as the blackest black kajal in the market. The richness of the color and intensity of the pigmentation is to die for. It is undoubtedly long lasting and hardly budges even after 12hours. It is also a multi-purpose one as you can create some smoky look for parties and worth every penny you spend on it.
7. Lakme Nail Polish Remover(INR 70)– this has been in the market forever and also another impeccable one. There are glitter and sparkle nail paints which are a pain to remove from nails but with Lakme Nail Polish Remover I have seen it working like a magic. I have used various nail remover which does work on regular nail paints but this one is a stunning beauty which works for everything.
8. Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse Foundation(INR 700)– another gem of a foundation from Lakme. It comes in a very cute round packaging and has 3 shades. It is feather light on the skin and also evens out the skin. It doesn’t block the pores like other foundations and let the skin breathe. Even though it is a matte foundation, it can be used for winters and yet doesn’t accentuates to dry areas. It blends flawlessly and quite budget friendly for the quality it delivers.
9. Lakmé Perfect Radiance Range(INR 275-700)– the best skin care range one can opt for. It has proper items for both oily and dry skin and with continuous usage you will notice the transformation of the skin. From face wash to gloss crème to serums – it will cater every need of yours and gives a radiant glow to the skin. It also has a night crème and capsule treatment that leaves your skin healthy and blooming in just a month. Highly recommend for the would-be brides
10. Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner (INR 800) – the last but not least, the Gel Addict Eyeliners. With the craze of cat eyeliners, came the craze of gel liner and every brand has brought forward their versions. Lakme went a step ahead and launched the beautiful packed gel liner with the brush. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for every occasion like party, office, weddings and the list continues. It is so easy to apply and travel with that you must have one from the range.

I tried one of the services as a part of the Bridal package i.e. the Luminence 3+ Ritual Facial and here is my review on it.
Luminance 3+ Ritual is meant for lightening the skin i.e. it targets pigments/scars. It is also suitable for tanned & dull skin. it gives the skin a glow which the brides need, hence the name ‘Luminence’. It gives hydrated, soft and supple skin. Pregnant ladies or person suffering from fever or anything in particular are not advised to go for it.
Steps involved:
1. Skin is cleansed at first with a foam based cleanser.
2. A creamy exfoliator is used and massaged on the skin.
3. Steam is given on the face & comedones are extracted.
4. Vitamin C concentrated serum is applied on the skin.
5. It if followed by a massage with a night cream.
6. A peel off lightening pack is applied and it is kept for 10-15 minutes till it dries.
7. A toner is applied at the end.
Duration : Around 75 minutes
Price: Around Rs.4000/-
My skin was not tanned, so no immediate difference can be seen. Skin definitely felt moisturized, soft and supple. It takes 2-3 days for the results to show and my skin looked and felt healthier in 1-2 days. Here is my ‘Before’ and next day ‘After’

DO NOT go out in the sun immediately post this treatment or use a lot of sunscreen if you have to.
DO NOT wash your face for 10-12 hours with anything except water.
Overall I would say I love the bridal services at Lakme Salon and definitely recommend the brides-to-be to get a package customized for themselves as per their requirements.
P.S: Service was offered in exchange of honest review but that has not affected my opinion.

Tangerine Touch Scarlet Rose Magenta Magic Raving Red Pink Fantasy Victorian Rose
Today I am reviewing the shades Tangerine Touch, Pink Fantasy and Raving Red.
On the pencils, they mention ‘Lip Tint’, I guess it is their old product Lakme Absolute Lip Tints which they have now re launched in these matte and glossy Lip Pouts version with a new name.
These come in a lip crayon format and have a twist up mechanism. The outer colors are according to the shades and all have a silver cap. The crayon format is very travel friendly too.
The texture and finish of this is completely matte and it kind of reminds me of the Inglot AMC Lip Pencils. These are decently pigmented but as expected very dry. You will definitely need a lip balm underneath and they are very unforgiving if you have dry lips and will accentuate them. So scrubbing lips is a must with these.
They stay for around 5-6 hours but do not survive meals, thankfully they fade off evenly. I think I expected more in terms of staying power and pigmentation. They transfer 1-2 times at first when they are not set which takes some time.
Pink Fantasy is a blue based rose pink

The colors are not something very unique or different, the usual normal basic shades, I feel there should have been 1-2 more shades like mauves, plums or bright Ruby Woo kind of red.

I swatched the Pink Fantasy first, hence it looks better on the lips. By the time I swatched Tangerine Touch last, the scraping/removing the previous swatches made lips very dry, hence the Tangerine one looks patchy.

I also like Magenta Magic and Victorian Rose and would love to try those too. I absolutely love matte lipsticks and Pink Fantasy is my favourite out of these three, followed by Tangerine Touch.
I am so glad these are priced at Rs.650/- coz all new Lakme Absolute launches have been priced at around Rs.800 since quite some time.
Overall I would say, I am very happy that Indian companies are coming up with matte lipsticks and these convenient crayon forms. I only expected a bit more in terms of shades and staying power, I hope they come up with more shades. But at least they are priced decently, these are already out in the market and also available online.

With 6 matte and 10 creme shades and in crayon form, it looks interesting. These are priced at Rs.650/- which is pretty decent. I am really looking forward to the matte shades coz I absolutely love the Lakme Absolute Sculpt High Definition Matte Lipsticks. Victorian Rose and Pink Fantasy look the most interesting to me.

Lakme Salon #TheSculptLook Makeover,Vlog & Contest

A few days ago I went to the Lakme Salon to try out the new Sculpt Look. Read all about the hair and makeup in The Sculpt Collection HERE.
There are various hairstyles and different makeup looks which form part of the Sculpt collection, it is all about the chiseled,sculpted look and a lot of contouring on the face, sharp hairstyles,etc.
You can always get it tweaked a bit according to your face shape and how you want to wear it. I loved the Marsala Stairs haircut and style, but that was something very,very sharp and the stylist Shefali told me I would need to straighten my hair all the time for the effect of the stairs to show otherwise it would not look good on me. Another option was The Pixel Bob but then again I did not want to go that short. Rest were buns which would work perfect with gowns or something Indian.
Hair
We went with the Victorian Matte look, but since I was wearing a casual tee, the bun would not have looked good and we changed that into a sculpted pony with a pouf and a lot of back combing at the front.
For the makeup, the entire face was contoured and I was given a darker, warmer base. A wash of warm gold for the eyes and inner half of the lower lashline. The very long winged eyeliner did not work for my face, so we went with kitten flick and kept the lips matte and dark too.
A closer look at the makeup
For the lips, Pallavi used the new Lakme Absolute Sculpt Matte lipstick in ‘Pink Me Up‘ and applied it with a brush, giving the lips a perfect sculpted shape.
Since the lights at the salon were bright and yellow, colors appear a bit different.
