Vega Eye Smudger and Reversible Lip Filler Review

Vega Eye Smudger and Reversible Lip Filler Review

Vega Eye Smudger EV 22
Vega Eye Smudger EV 22 Review

What the Company claims: To create soft liner color for a smoky effect. Start with powder cake liner or pencil and follow with this firm PVC foam eraser like tip to smudge off excess to create the smoky look desired. Professional size. Sponge Tip.

MRP: Rs. 60/-

They also have an Eye Smudger in the Professional Range PB-18 but I have not seen that online available…otherwise would have picked up that..

But since I have used this..lets talk about this first…it has a foam like tip..not the soft spongy tips which we get with the normal eye shadow quads which powder up in few uses..this is stiff and softens the harsh liner..I use this almost everyday for the smokey eye effect..just some dark rich black eye pencil like the Bourjois Kohl and Contour on the upper lashline and smoke it out with this..and I am good to go. And also for smudging the base for smokey eyes..

This is like so perfect for smokey eyes..quite similar to the Body Shop Line Softener..which obviously is much better..that costs Rs. 325/-

I suggest one can get this and try out smokey eyes with this..and then get the Body Shop Line Softener..as of now I am really loving it..! Economical, easy to use and easy to maintain..totally recommended.

Vega Reversible Lip Filler PV 23

What the Company claims: Vega Lip Filler is an ideal accompaniment to lipstick and lip color. It is perfect for detailing along the lips and applying the color evenly and consistently. It is an ideal product to carry in the purse.

MRP: Rs. 160/-

Well we do need a lip filler when using some deep darker shades like reds, plums, etc..I use this mostly with my Inglot Freedom System Lipsticks.

This is so small and convenient to carry along..and reverse the brush into the cap and its almost the size of a finger..

I have washed it many times..and it has just shed 1-2 hair..I find it super easy to use Inglot lipsticks or some red lipstick with this..as I can also control the intensity of the shade by layering.

If you have Inglot Freedom System Lipsticks, I recommend you give this a try…ya the only con is it does not fit in the Inglot Palette 🙁

Overall I like both of these and surely recommend them..you can buy the Body Shop Line Softener instead of the Eye Smudger..but if you wish to try a cheaper alternative..this is it..

Mineralissima Makeup Brush Set Review

Mineralissima 12-pcs Makeup Brush Set Review

Now there is a story behind this brush set..Mineralissima had a giveaway on facebook when they reach 1000 fans which did not require any entry but they did pick 3 names randomly and I was not even aware of this..and I was one of the winners..I was so surprised to see my name coz I knew nothing about this..but glad coz I as it is was thinking of getting a few brushes.

This 12 brush set includes a foundation brush, concealer brush, powder brush, blush brush, fan brush, eyeliner brush and a few eye shadow brushes. (I am going brush brush :p)

They come properly placed in a black leather case with a covering on the top..this makes it so handy and travel friendly too.

MRP: €29.95 (Approx Rs. 2000/-)

What the Company claims: This professional quality 12-piece brush set includes 5 brushes for the face and 7 brushes for eyes. The brushes are packed in protective wrap and come in a handy black leather-look case. The set includes:

LARGE POWDER BRUSH – Ideal to apply powder products on face and body. Natural bristles.

SMALL POWDER BRUSH – use this brush for applying foundation, bronzers or blushers. Also ideal for highlighting the cheekbones. Natural bristles.

Both the large and small powder brush are super soft and fluffy..super easy to buff and blend..but the only problem is they do shed hair..

FOUNDATION/CONCEALER BRUSH – Can be used to apply powder or liquid foundation and is also ideal for applying concealers for large areas. Synthetic bristles.

CAMOUFLAGE BRUSH – the best brush for applying concealers and colour correctors for more precise results. Can be used for eyeshadows as well. Synthetic bristles.

I loved the foundation and concealer brushes the most…they are stiff and perfect for application..and soft to touch..the concealer brush reaches every corner of the face easily…and this brushes do not shed much hair too.

BLENDING BRUSH – Fluffy and rounded, perfect for applying and blending color on the crease. Natural bristles.

This blends colors on the crease amazingly well and also blends harsh lines.

FAN BRUSH – Flat fan-shaped brush ideal for applying blushers and shimmer powders. Natural bristles.

This is super soft and perfect for removing fall out from shadows and applying highlighters.

EYE LINER/ BROW BRUSH – use for applying eyeliners and brow colours. Synthetic bristles.

More than eyeliner, this works better for filling brows..

LARGE EYESHADOW BRUSH – soft eyeshadow brush to apply colour to the entire lid. Natural bristles.

This picks up shadows well and perfect for applying on the lids..its little stiff and makes it easy for patting eye shadows.

EYESHADOW BRUSH – multifunctional brush for applying eyeshadows. Natural bristles.

DETAIL BRUSH – small and flat brush ideal for detailed application of eyeshadows. Natural bristles.

This is perfect to use in the inner corners.

MEDIUM EYESHADOW BRUSH – multifunctional, semi-firm eyeshadow brush. Natural bristles.

FLAT TOP ANGLED BRUSH – can be used for applying eyeshadow all over but is perfect for applying shadow to the crease of the eyelid below the brow bone. Natural bristles.

This blends colors in the crease well..has that cut crease shape.

These have quite long handles which are easy to hold on to..and are quite soft and multi purpose…but the only problem is they do shed some hair..I just wish it had one more stiff line softener or smudger brush in the set..but overall its quite complete. And I would surely recommend this set to others..

Sigma F45 Buffer Brush Review

Sigma F45 Buffer Brush Review

What the Company claims: What : Ideal to apply mineral foundation, loose or pressed powders. Also great to buff colors and obtain a soft, blended look. Natural bristles.

MRP: 19$

Its a small round black kabuki brush…so super handy and super soft..it fits in your palms…

I do not use sponges provided with compacts or pressed powders..I usually use such kabuki..I have one more from Oriflame Giordano..even thats super handy and super soft…but the hairs used are different and obviously the Sigma one is much softer. The powders never look cakey when used with a brush.

You can also it after your makeup just to blend the colors or harsh edges or lighten the colors or shimmers….clean any fall outs..you can use it in so many ways.

Overall I quite love it..it does not loose its shape after washing..the only problem is it does shed hair on being washed..and as its dense takes some time to dry but otherwise its quiet nice and a soft treat to skin.

If you want one..you can win it here.

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.

Sigma E25 Blending Brush Review

Sigma E25 Blending Brush Review

What the Company claims : Oval-shaped brush with gently chiseled sides. Blends and softens the look of powder or cream shadows. Ideal to apply eye shadow primer, base eye shadow colors, and blend harsh lines.

MRP: 9$ (for a full sized brush) (Approx Rs. 440/-)

This is the travel sized brush but both are same in terms of bristles and quality. Now this brush is like perfect for blending eye shadows ! Blending is like a dream with this brush…super easy.

This is supposedly the dupe for MAC 217 brush which costs Rs. 1450/- or 22.50$ and this is like 1/3rd the price..check out Product rater’s detailed comparision here

The best part is anything you order from Sigma above 30$ you get this travel sized brush free..and you just cannot have enough of this..so it is surely a good deal.

Since this is travel sized and fits easily in my palm…I can easily carry it along with me wherever I go.

For comparision

I liked the way bristles are shaped. Its quiet dense and are nicely packed. I am using this from the last 5-6 months and have washed it many times too…this did not shed hair or loose its shape.

It also works for highlighting your cheeks and bridge of the nose,etc..This is a must have brush for sure !

You can buy it here and do check out other Sigma brushes too. If you buy stuff worth 30$ you can get this free.

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.
