I am back with an OOTD. P.S: This is my 1600th post. Yay 😀 Trivia: Hopefully 2015th post would be in 2015 :p #nookbye
This is what I wore to the River Island for Jabong fittings at Lakme Fashion Week this time. Pics clicked by the lovely Shanaya from Little Miss Sinner.
I love floral dresses. I gave it a semi formal touch by adding the black blazer and black bag. Blue suede ankle strap heels complimented the blue flowers on the dress. The statement belt cinched the waist and gave a nice fit. Added a bronze statement necklace and a gold cuff, and my favourite Daniel Wellington watch to complete the look.
Dress: Old
Blazer: Shown HERE
Shoes: Shown HERE
Belt: Style Fiesta (Shown HERE, HERE and HERE)
Bag, Necklace, Cuff: Romwe
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Venue: Palladium Hotel
I hope you liked the outfit. Do let me know in the comments below.
Maybelline ColorShow Bright Sparks Blazing Blue NOTD
What the Company claims: COLORSHOW BRIGHT SPARKS
The Maybelline Color Show Bright Sparks Nail Polish Collection introduces 8 new nail colors.
Add a bright pop of colour to your tips with the Maybelline Color Show Bright Sparks Nail Polish Collection.
The Maybelline New York Color Show Bright Sparks Collection presents eye-catching nail shades inspired by colors trending at the New York Fashion Week. The range includes glamorous shades like Glowing Wine, Power of Red, Firewood Brown, Blazing Blue, Spark of Steel, Burnished Gold and Molten Maroon. Color your nails with Color Show Bright Sparks nail colors and stay fashion-forward this season!
Here’s why you’ll love it:
Shades have been chosen by India’s most loved beauty bloggers
Comes in 8 runway-inspired glitzy shades
Has a flat-brush for smooth application
Ok, so if you follow me on my facebook, twitter or Instagram, you would know how I and my fellow blogger friend Dollie from Indian Shringar selected this shade Blazing Blue to be a part of Color Show Bright Sparks range. Similarly there were few other bloggers who selected these 7 shades.
After the Maybelline Glitter Mania launch, we did this secret activity to select the shades for this new Bright Sparks range which was supposed to be the festive cum autumn/winter range.
I like the fact that a brand includes us bloggers to be a part of their collections and launches in some or the other way. Feels good to be a part of this launch.
I got this shade which we selected along with these 5-6 pics (shown above) from the event which were clicked while we were selecting the shades.
Coming to this shade 706 Blazing Blue, its a bright ink blue which instantly brightens your hands and make your hands look pretty.
The texture, brush, etc is all exactly like the Maybelline Color Show range. I would say the only issue is, it started chipping from the tips in 1-2 days but not too much.
Overall, I love the brush and the smoothness, the price and the shades. Pretty pigmented and in 2 coats, you are sorted.
Rating: 4.25/5
I so want to try the Burnished Gold, Firewood Brown and Spark of Steel! They sound amazing.
Also, I would be giving away 10 of these Blazing Blue to 10 of you!! So, stay tuned for the contest and the hashtag #BlazeOfPassion.

Overall I would say its an amazing palette to own coz of its perfect mix of matte, shimmer, warm, neutral shades and finishes. Though 1-2 shades are drier and repeated, rest all are pretty amazing. And at this price point, definitely a must have. Sleek MakeUP nails it every single time! I love most of the i-Divines coz of the themes, colors, shades, pigmentation, price. Philips Essential Care Air Straightener HP8658 Review
What the Company claims: Get naturally straight hair using this ‘HP8658 – Essential Care Air straightener’ from Philips. This straightener also takes care of your hair with its ThermoProtect temperature. Gentle drying and styling offered by this straightener will impress modern women.
Other specifications:
650W for best results
Paddle straightening brush for naturally straight look
2 flexible heat and speed settings for more control
1.8 m cord for maximum flexibility
2 years worldwide guarantee
MRP: Rs.1695/-
I love the pink and white color to begin with. It has a separate head and handle, which can be joined and removed easily whenever required, and is quite convenient to store and carry around. You just need to attach and turn for the head to lock in, and unlock and detach with just a button.
Its not exactly a hair straightener, but a hair dryer cum comb with which you can dry and comb your wet hair at the same time, and give it a straighter, sleeker, blow dried look.
It has two heat settings, one low heat and the other high heat. I usually prefer low heat on a day to day normal basis. I love the fact that I do not need a separate hair dryer, and I can dry my hair making it more sleeker with this. It also helps in controlling somewhat frizz.
It gives a nice, smooth, straight look. Blow drying and styling hair at a salon costs anywhere around Rs.1000-2000/-. You can achieve a similar, if not the same (obviously) look with a one time investment like this.
It works for dry hair too, in detangling the knots and giving a smoother appearance, but I would recommend the low heat setting on dry hair.
I also love the fact that it comes with a 2 years worldwide guarantee. (which I guess most of Philips products are)
Here is how the hair looks after drying completely and using it for 10 minutes. I usually am in a hurry, so did not use it for a longer time, it would give a more sleeker look with longer duration.
It also comes in a KeraShine version i.e HP8659 (priced at Rs.2395/-) with ion technology and ceramic plates that helps even more in frizz by controlling and relaxing the static hair. I wanted to try the KeraShine one. If you are someone who has frizzy hair, or are ready to spend a few extra bucks, go for the KeraShine one.
And if you are someone, who would like to try this out, or don’t wish to spend much coz you are not sure if it will work that good for you (its super easy, so that should not be an issue though), you can go for this normal Essential Care Air Straightener.
Rating- 3.75/5 (KeraShine would be +0.25)
Have you tried/wish to try the new Philips Essential Care Hair Straightener ?
Remember I mentioned about Revlon’s new Cheek Boutique i.e the new Powder Blushes and Highlighting Palette HERE.
I was one of the winners of Revlon’s Travel look contest and got the highlighting palette Bronze Glow too as a part of the prize. Though the poor thing got completely smashed in the courier.
What the Company claims: Revlon Highlighting Palette for an all over sun kissed glow. Complimentary shimmer shades blend to enhance the complexion for a radiant sun kissed look.
Enhances and illuminates the complexion
Gives a multi-dimensional sculpted look
Easy to blend, buildable color
MRP: Rs.950/- for 7.5g
Shades Available: Rose Glow, Bronze Glow, Peach Glow (I love the Bronze the most)
This is how it looked after some cleaning.
Almost like those Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks and The Body Shop highlighters, but less shimmery. I like my highlighters less shimmery, we aint no shiny disco balls :p
Though it does look a little too shimmery in the pan, but upon swatching, it comes out a beautiful rosy bronze. It has 5 strips, one is white, and the other 4 are shades of bronze, copper, pink bronze and pink copper. So all blended together, it gives our a nice bronze with a pink sheen which looks beautiful on our warm skin tones.
Though if you are on the lighter side, I would recommend checking out Rose Glow and Peach Glow. But for medium Indian skin tones, Bronze Glow is just perfect.
It stays on for 6-7 hours and slowly fades but does not go away completely. Also works for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes. I use it on the bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow too for that little pout effect.
Its pigmented and buildable, easy to use coz you can build it slowly, won’t make you look funny even if you are new to highlighters and blushes.
Though its on the expensive side, it does offer good quantity and quality. I would have liked it to be priced around Rs.750-800/-. Sadly wee do not have good highlighters available in India, so if you are looking for a good highlighter from an Indian brand and that is easily available, this is one of the few options.
I did expect better and sturdier packaging though, this is not at all travel friendly. You can see the condition of the smashed palette.
Overall, I do like it and recommend it. I love highlighters and this is one of my current favourites.
Rating: 3.75/5 (-0.25 for the packaging)

If you are new to my blog, check out all the bridal diaries posts and updates HERE.
I wanted to update you all with a 4 months remaining post and what all I am done with, from the things which were pending in my 6 months post HERE, but I have no idea where time is flying! Like literally flying.
So ya, exactly 3 months to go now. I still can’t believe it!
Things Done from the ‘things I had to do’ mentioned in the 6 months post 😀
Done with most of my trousseau shopping. Rushing to the tailors and all these days.
Got my gharchoda from Khatri and panetar i.e the wedding sarees. Yes, we need to wear two together.
Nothing on the weight front yet :/ God, I just have 3 months and I have’nt started with anything yet.
Done with the honeymoon bookings
Done with the photographer and videographer bookings
Bangles and Dupatta are pending. I got the white chooda part though.
Got a nice sela with paithani work from Ratanshi Kheraj. The entire work comes on the front when the saree is worn Gujurati style.
Yet to find a nice gown for the DJ
Done with the gold and diamond jewellery shopping too.
I buy my diamonds from Manubhai Jewellers in Mumbai. I think they are the best in Mumbai when it comes to diamonds and the designs they have are more than any other store in Mumbai.
In addition, I got some nice golden leg thongs (the one which are tied up like anklets but connect to the second toe like haathphool) and a pretty rose gold clutch from the World Trade Center exhibition. I am planning to wear the leg thongs during the wedding. Also, I got nice gold Inc.5 weddingey shoes.
Also bought sarees and dresses and few dresses from the boy’s side too. Few are semi stitched, so have to get them stitched. Got one white and pink pretty chaniya choli. Even that was semi stitched, have already given that for stitching.
Next week, going to Gaurang, the famous guy who designs and stitches designer blouses for gharchoda since I don’t know how many years. (Pink Lady in Ghatkopar) I have heard a lot about him. I would be getting my morning mandva sela and gharchoda blouse designed by him.
I stocked on some basic lingerie during the Marks & Spencer sale. Have to get a few more things. You must have seen the bikini and chemise I got HERE. Also have some stuff from La Senza (Love this blue one from the Show Off Collection..my first La Senza :p ). Planning to buy a few more things like a multi way bra, pasties, etc.,you know how the backless and deep back cholis, etc are.
I know I have to do a bridal makeup artists and photographers in Mumbai post since a long time. I will definitely do it, caught up with a lot of things right now.
Also, yours truly is nominated for the ELLE Beauty Awards Blogger of the Year 2014. Our first challenge was a braided look. If you can please spare a second to vote me HERE, I did be thankful 🙂

Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Liner Review, Swatches What the Company claims: Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eyeliner gives the precision line of liquid eyeliner for professional and smudge-free results. The smooth texture of the gel eye liner delivers rich color and even coverage and ensures long-lasting luring eyes for up to 24 hours. It comes with a slanted brush applicator that gives smooth and flawless effects.
MRP: Rs.449/- for 3g It comes in a small glass pot and a small slanted brush alongwith.. Its rich and deep..and matte black..good pigmentation..can be easily layered..I quite like it for tighlining..gives precise definition..
Texture wise, it is quite soft but not that smooth..I like the fact that the small brush can be used for travel and no need to carry a separate brush..but for regular use,I wish it came with a longer brush too,as holding that small brush and lining is sometimes difficult.
It stays on for 8 hours plus on my upper lashline with minimal fading. But it sets quickly and layering over it does not go smooth.
Pros: 1. Rich black 2. Very creamy. 3. Glides on well..no tugging or pulling. 4. Small travel friendly brush. 5. Stays put quiet long. 6. Its often available at a discount..and the qty is more than other gel liners..like Maybelline and L’oreal..so quite economical. Cons: 1. I wish there was a longer brush too along. 2. Available only through reps. Overall, I would say its a nice rich black, matte gel liner..and buttery in texture..comes with a nice travel friendly brush too..if you love gel liners, you should definitely try this. Rating:

About: Blush by 3 in Californ.I.A and Pink Lemonade! Californ.I.A is inspired by the sun, sand and surf of Californian beach life. Whilst the inspiration behind Pink Lemonade is the traditional, old fashioned English tea party with three decadent pinks.
MRP: £9.99/$14.99
Don’t they look gorgeous ? Californ.I.A has all 3 cream blushes and Pink Lemonade has 2 powder and one cream..
They have this regular black Sleek MakeUP packaging..and come with a mirror inside..all three individual shades inside have names too.
Pink Lemonade:
Icing Sugar : Cool toned pink with silver shimmer
Macaroon : Cool toned medium pink..quite creamy and wears good
The Surf: Light Peach with gold shimmer..good for lighter skin tones
OC: Medium Coral Orange
Newport Peach, The Surf, OC (L-R)
The shades in Pink Lemonade are more suited for lighter skin tones..though Pink Mint looks great on our skin tones too. Icing Sugar is kind of ok..a little powdery too as you can see from the swatches.
The shades in Californ.I.A would suit medium skin tones..except The Surf..which is a light peach.
They have amazing pigmentation and a great wear time too..comes with a mirror..and cream blush I prefer using my hands to apply..only need a brush for the powder ones..
Coral lovers jump on Californ.I.A !
Both these are love at first sight..Highly recommend them.
Faces Neon Matte Nail Enamel Fire Stick Review, NOTD
By now, all of you must be knowing about these super gorgeous bright neon matte nail enamels launched by Faces.
I have reviewed 75 Ibiza HERE and 76 Bubblepop HERE
MRP: Rs.229/- for 9ml
They come in normal Faces Nail Enamels packaging..the brush is awesome..no streaking or spreading out..dries quickly..and it stays and stays !
This shade is wrongly named as Bubblepop..as you can see Bubblepop is a bubblegum pink and Ibiza is a bright coral..
This shade is brighter then Ibiza..a mix of orangey coral and pink..I was thinking it might not be as bright as Fire Stick..but then there are no other shades left out of the 5 neon shades launched..
Goes opaque in 2-3 coats and stays for a long time..more than a week.
The brush is super easy to use and gives a nice, smooth streak free finish. It dries super quick..no hassles of waiting..its TOLUENE & DBP, Camphor and Formaldéhyde free.
Perfect quality and good enough quantity..justified price..I have all 3 brights..Ibiza, Bubblepop and this..
Highly recommended !

Additional Information
Apply Kérastase Resistance Fibre Architecte Level 3+4 to dry hair.
MRP: Rs.1500/- for 30ml Ingredients:
It comes in a green and white half and half bottle..one side has a light green colored gel and one side some oil..it has a sideways pump dispensor..and both the sides dispense the product together..it is supposed to be combined together and then applied to the hair..like any normal serum.. My hair have turned pretty dry in the last few months..and so I thought of trying this out..it has helped my hair stay hydrated and glossy and shiny..and the most important frizz free..
I use it after my shampooing on half dried hair..and the best part is..it keeps my hair amazingly soft and shiny the next day too ! And it smells amazing.. I am completely in love with it..
Only issue being..I read that one side i.e the gel side of it gets over sooner than the oil one..and hence then only the oil does not give a similar effect..I wish they both came up in equal quantities and finish up together..
Pros: 1. Leaves hair super shiny and glossy. 2. Hair feels softer and hydrated. 3. Stays frizz free. 4. Effect stays on next day too. 5. Easy to use and carry around. Cons: 1. A little expensive. 2. One side finishes up sooner than the other. Overall I would say its perfect for dry hair..and gives that required shine and softness..and keeps hair frizz free..this serum is definitely a must try !
