New Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal and Mascara

Get iconic eyes everyday with the new Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal and Mascara

Indian women are blessed with gorgeous deep set eyes and to help highlight this feature, Lakmé has launched Lakmé Eyeconic – a revolutionary range consisting of kajal and mascara. The new Eyeconic Kajal by Lakmé is literally iconic as all you need is one sweep of kajal and it lasts for 10 hours. The product is waterproof, it doesn’t smudge and it is even safe for the eyes since it is dermatologist tested. Complete your look with lots of Eyeconic Curling Mascara. The mascara gives the eyes an intense black finish and comes equipped with a curling brush that helps give curves to your lashes. It is also enriched with D-Panthenol – a moisturizer which keeps lashes soft and smooth. The product makes the eyes look brighter and adds a perfect sparkle to your entire look.

The Eyeconic kajal and mascara by Lakmé forms the perfect combination in creating a look that is sure to get you noticed! You can now transform your look from drab to fab with just a little kajal and a hint of some mascara.

The Lakmé Eyeconic kajal is priced at Rs. 199 and the Lakmé Eyeconic mascara is priced at Rs. 250

I guess its the Lakme’s answer to Mayebelline Colossal Kajal..coz the Kohl Ultimate is at a higher range..and mascara at 250 is quite reasonable..answer to Maybelline Hyper Curl ?

I hope it is indeed waterproof and smudge proof..lets see 🙂

Deborah Milano Absolute Hi Tech Mascara Review

Deborah Milano Absolute Hi Tech Mascara Review

What the Company claims: New Absolute Hi-Tech Mascara – with a ground breaking patented applicator*. With a revolutionary formula featuring 3D DH Complex for three-dimensional performance and lashes with unrivalled volume, length and definition. The ring-tip applicator captures each and every lash for high-precision results. Enriched with Triple Carbon Black DH Complex for dramatically pure colour, and lash-strengthening Kerastim.

MRP: Rs. 575/- for 12ml

I quite like the brush..its different and catches up and separates each lash.

Notice the zig zag bristles..they separate each lash..and avoids clumping..just two coats and you are done..I love the effect it gives.

Here are the before after pics..

Before
After (2 coats)

Pros:

1. Love the patented brush..it indeed helps in volume and length.
2. Does what it claims.
3. Gives both volume and length..without compromising on the other.
4. I love how it opens up my eyes..just two coats and you are set.
5. Does not clump lashes.
6. Easy to remove.
7. Its not waterproof but it does not wash off or smear even in humidity.
8. The quantity of 12ml is quite good..though its a mascara..so cannot last more than 6 months.

Cons:

1. Not easily available..There are other two mascaras by Deborah Milano which are available online..but not this particular one.
2. A little expensive for a mascara..but for the results it gives..its totally worth it !

I am quite loving it..if you like volume and length without the clumps..you should surely check this out.

Illamasqua Masquara Raven Review

Illamasqua Masquara Raven Review

What the Company claims: If the eyes are the windows of the soul, our new Masquara in Raven (midnight black) reveals a heart of darkness with a new formula that lengthens, defines and dramatises lashes to extremes.

The happy union of our unique brush design and new smudge proof formula ensures lashes can last the whole night through.

Tips
Apply our new Masquara using the specially designed brush provided. Start the application from the bottom of the lashes moving upwards and outwards. Re-apply for a bolder look. For a dramatic effect, swirl the brush in the palm of your hand, pick up the product with an eye-brow brush and apply on the lashes starting from the bottom of the lashes sweeping upwards.

Shade: Raven (midnight black)

It has the sleek long packaging and has 10 ml product which would last quite long. The brush is huge and perfect for lengthening effect as claimed. The formula is nice..not too thick..and so it does not clumps lashes too. It gives those long fluttery dark lashes which I guess most of us love..dont we..

Curled lashes..before mascara

After Mascara- one coat

See the lengthening

Pros:

1. Huge brush..perfect for length.
2. Not too thick or gooey types.
3. Does not clump lashes much.
4. Even one coat gives enough length.
5. Jet black.
6. Its not waterproof but it still does not smudge in humidity..thats like damn nice.
7. Comes off easily with any normal cleanser.
8. Enough qty.

Cons:

1. This would not give you volume, if you prefer that.
2. Expensive for a mascara.
3. Available only at Illamasqua store or from their online shop.

Overall I loved the fluttering long dark lashes it gives…and its ease of use.

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Waterproof Mascara Review

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Waterproof Mascara Review
Now this is the most coveted drugstore mascara..it comes in both normal and waterproof version.
I chose the waterproof coz its much better in the humid climate of Mumbai…plus it can be used in monsoons too..and the normal ones would give you raccoon eyes otherwise.

What the Company claims:
Waterproof mascara
Upto 7x more volume
Instantly in just one coat
Dramatic volume with no clumps
Patented MegaBrush + Collagen formula plump lashes one by one

How to use: Sweep brush upwards from root to tip to plump individual lashes and achieve dramatic volume. Continue building lashes until you reach your desired look. Do not let dry between coats. Repeat for lower lash line.

MRP: Rs .260/- for 10 ml. Use within 6 months of opening.

It comes in a big fat yellow tube..and the brush is indeed nice..it does give volume to the lashes and opens them up.

Pros:

1. Gives volume to lashes and opens them up.
2. It is waterproof and stays all day.
3. Does not clump upto 2 coats.
4. Packaging is nice.
5. Economical compared to other mascaras.
6. I quite liked the brush.

Cons:

1. Does not add volume 7 times as claimed !!
2. The brush being thick has more chances of spreading around while applying..so it has to be used carefully especially at the inner corners and lower lashes.
3. Being waterproof…you would need a good makeup remover to remove this…olive oil works for me.

Overall I quite like this..the mascara which works and is economical. Surely recommended.
