Top 6 Matte Pink Lipsticks under Rs.500 in India | Swatches | Giveaway

Hi guys,

I love pink lipsticks and I love matte lipsticks, so it was only fair that I do the Top 6. Now I didn’t feature Colourpop and all those brands that are not easily available and not within the budget of Rs.500.

From my favourites, I managed to pick not 5 but 6 beautiful matte pink shades, all under 500. So here goes..

1. Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick Vivid 2 – Rs.475/- (Buy HERE)

It’s a bright neon candy pink shade, would work for fair to medium skin tones. Keep the rest of the makeup minimal with just a winged liner when you wear such a bright pink shade

2. Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 11- Rs.295/- (Buy HERE)

PM 11 is one of my favourites, this range has some pretty good shades and very affordable at Rs.295. It’s a neutral pink that will work for all skin tones, especially fair to medium

3. Elle 18 Colour Pop Matte Lipstick Rose Day- Rs.100/- (Buy HERE)

Again a neutral pink that will work for all skin tones, especially fair to medium. Very affordable and 20 shades to choose from, one of my go-to pinks. This has a soft matte finish and stays for a pretty decent time.

4. Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream No. 12- Rs.160 to 180 (Buy HERE)

Comfortable soft matte liquid lipstick, No. 12 is my most favourite shade in the Miss Claire Range. A mid tone pink, not very bright, but easy to pair with everything. This will work on all skin tones.

5. Nykaa So Matte Lipstick 02 Frisky Fuchsia- Rs.399/-

Nykaa has a lot of pinks, I like 2-3 of them but Frisky Fuchsia is my favourite pink out of them. It’s a slightly warm rosy fuchsia pink. Everyday wearable shade and would look good on fair to medium skin tones.

6. Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick 02 Brink of Pink- Rs.499/- (Buy HERE)

This is a recent addition to the list, a deep bright pink. These are very drying but very long lasting. Brink of Pink would work on all skin tones, especially deeper skin tones.

Maybelline India Vivid Matte Lipstick Vivid2 Neon Pink Review, Swatches, FOTD

If you remember the previous post where I swatched all four of the new Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipsticks, go HERE if you still haven’t seen that post. I picked the shade Vivid2 Neon Pink.

Many of you asked me on my Fab Bag video which lipstick I was wearing, it was this.

What the Company claims:  Color Sensational Vivid Matte Lipstick now matte comes alive with Sensational Vivid Mattes. Flaunt bright, vivid shades of matte with Color Sensational Vivid Matte Lipstick. Everyone is bound to pay attention!

How to use product: Apply lipcolor starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

Shades:

  • Vivid1 Scarlet Red
  • Vivid2 Neon Pink
  • Vivid3 Violet Pink
  • Vivid4 Rosy Orange

Ingredients:

It comes in a sheer red cap and black base packaging, all the lipsticks have the same packaging unfortunately, the base is pink and red though shade wise.

The finish is semi matte and I found only this shade Neon Pink to be a little more matte and sans shimmer. I love the creamy matte finish, it glides on the lips easily without any tugging.

I am quite impressed with the ingredients, it has jojoba oil, rosa canina fruit oil, honey, etc. and it does feel very comfortable on the lips.

It is super pigmented and two swipes give opaque finish. It is not transfer proof, I did the transfer test in the video if you saw. It does transfer but the color hardly fades and it stays on for a pretty decent time, almost 4-5 hours, even longer without eating or drinking. It does survive light meals but does fade from the center after a complete meal.

Neon Pink is a bright blue based neon barbie pink. It’s not a shade for the faint hearted and it is super bright and bold. It will instantly brighten your face but also this shade is the type that makes your teeth look yellow. So be careful while wearing this.

Overall I quite like this lipstick, I also love the shade Vivid3 Violet Pink and as recommended in the previous post too, both Vivid2 and Vivid3 are worth checking out.

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Peony Goal Review, Swatches

Peony Goal is one of the lipsticks from this new range..

Shades Available:

15 shades bifurcated into reds & browns and pinks & mauves..

I quite love the rose gold packaging..chic case with slight rounded edges..and it clasps tight..I love the names too..ending with Goal, Slip, Break, Drill, Management, Play,etc..all corporate language..

Peony Goal is a mauve pink brown with gold shimmer..an everyday shade..quite close to MLBB..it has a soft matte finish..these glide on quite smoothly..and are super soft..

As these are meant for work..this shade is perfect for work wear..plus the soft matte finish is also quite formal..it has a sweet smell which goes away in a minute or so..

This shade stays on for 3-4 hours..I am a little disappointed with the staying power..since its the 9 to 5 range and is supposed to stay longer..but the deeper shades in this range seem to stay longer and leave behind a stain..

Here is how it looks on me..

Pros:

1. Soft matte finish…quite smooth in texture.
2. Chic packaging.
3. Economical
4. 15 shades to choose from.
5. Travel friendly..it clasps tight.
6. Though its matte..its not drying or uncomfortable on lips.

Cons:

1. I prefer it sans the shimmer.
2. Expected it to stay longer.

Overall I would say I loved the finish of these and the packaging too..I like this shade but sans the shimmer..I would surely check out other shades in this range..Do recommend it..especially for work wear..I would like to check out Pink Slip or Tea Break..
