Easy Blue Smokey Eyes Makeup Tutorial | Drugstore | Indian Makeup
Hi guys,
I created this easy blue smokey eyes using just two products i.e. Maybelline Sapphire Blue Colorsensational 3D Eyeshadow Palette and Colorbar Eyeshadow Crayon in Moss.
I liked this Maybelline Palette but they do need a base eyeshadow/pencil for the colors to show up. The highlight shade was pretty good, black one had a lot of fall out though.
I love this Colorbar eyeshadow crayon and these are fabulous even on their own when you don’t want an all out look but some nice color and definition.

Many of you asked me on my Fab Bag video which lipstick I was wearing, it was this.

How to use product: Apply lipcolor starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.
It comes in a sheer red cap and black base packaging, all the lipsticks have the same packaging unfortunately, the base is pink and red though shade wise.
The finish is semi matte and I found only this shade Neon Pink to be a little more matte and sans shimmer. I love the creamy matte finish, it glides on the lips easily without any tugging.
I am quite impressed with the ingredients, it has jojoba oil, rosa canina fruit oil, honey, etc. and it does feel very comfortable on the lips.
It is super pigmented and two swipes give opaque finish. It is not transfer proof, I did the transfer test in the video if you saw. It does transfer but the color hardly fades and it stays on for a pretty decent time, almost 4-5 hours, even longer without eating or drinking. It does survive light meals but does fade from the center after a complete meal.
Neon Pink is a bright blue based neon barbie pink. It’s not a shade for the faint hearted and it is super bright and bold. It will instantly brighten your face but also this shade is the type that makes your teeth look yellow. So be careful while wearing this.
Overall I quite like this lipstick, I also love the shade Vivid3 Violet Pink and as recommended in the previous post too, both Vivid2 and Vivid3 are worth checking out.

New Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipsticks India, Price, Shades, Swatches

So ever since I saw the new Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipsticks on Habbana, about a week ago, I was itching to get my hands on them! Finally I went shopping today and saw them at Lifestyle stores.
First of all, I am not happy with the fact that only 4 shades are launched in India, same as the Rebel Bouquet, Bold Mat and Pink Alert, why only 4-5 shades get launched in India where as US has almost 10-12 in each range :/ So unfair.
They are named Vivid1 to Vivid4 but thankfully they also have names this time!
Shades:
Vivid1 Scarlet Red
Vivid2 Neon Pink
Vivid3 Violet Pink
Vivid4 Rosy Orange
MRP: Rs.475/- for 3.9g
It comes in a sheer red cap and black base packaging, all the lipsticks have the same packaging unfortunately, the base is pink and red though shade wise.
The finish is glossy which turns into semi matte exactly like the Bold Mat lipsticks. Also if you notice Vivid 1, 3 and 4 have some shimmer, so the finish is more glossy.

Vivid3 Violet Pink is a deeper pink with purple undertones

Now both Bold Mat and Pink Alert were priced at Rs.375 when they launched, then I believe they increased it to Rs.425. I don’t know why this range is priced at Rs.475/-, coz the qty being same, the price of Rs.400-425 was just perfect for this. Not happy with the additional rise, although not much, Maybelline is supposed to be the most economical brand, and I hope it stays that way.
Vivid2 Neon Pink is I believe the shade named Fuchsia Flash in US (which is supposed to be MAC Candy Yum Yum dupe) and Vivid3 Violet Pink is the shade named Vivid Rose.
I did not find the red and orange to be very different, I liked both the pinks though, both are quite unique and fabulous. I tried both of them on me and picked up one, coz I felt one shade was pretty dupable in my stash.
Guess which one I picked 😀

One day when I was picking up some random makeup products from the Maybelline counter, the SA insisted me to choose The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara. I was in double minds but somehow ended up picking it and I never had to try any other mascaras again because this was a gem. An amazing product that not only add volume but length to the lashes as well. I was having problem with false eyelashes and couldn’t get the hang of it. Further, the mascara is sweat proof, waterproof, and smudge proof and hence keeps your eye makeup intact, all day long. In fact, it can be a great one for contact lens wearers. The mascara dries up easily and great for thin eyelashes as well.
3. L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Extra-Black Mascara – 795 INR (BUY HERE for 596)
A favorite mascara for every makeup artist in India. Although it does falls in the higher range category but every penny is worth spending on this beauty. It is such a kind of mascara which will give you everything – curl, length and volume boost that too in the most dramatic way possible. If you don’t want to go for false eyelashes on any special occasion and yet wants such lashes, go for this one and you will never get disappointed.
4. Lakme Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara- 725 INR (BUY HERE for 510)
Lakme has this Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara from their dramatic range that gives an opulent curl and dramatic volume effect, true to its name. It is a great long wearing mascara with water-proof and smudge resistant formula. It has a beautiful wand which is tapered and slightly bent and also coats the lashes evenly without clumping and smudging the eye makeup. The formula is waterproof and gives a soft, fluttery look for daytime. Further, it doesn’t dry out the lashes as well.
This is the queen of all mascaras and that price tag is surely not for faint hearted ones. It comes in a luxurious deep ink blue packaging with a glossy and alluring gold body. The wand is slightly tapered and densely packed fibre bristles. It is comparatively slender it makes it perfect for application. The texture is light weight and wet formula but it doesn’t take much time to dry on the lashes. It also prevents clumping and adds an enormous amount of volume to gives the perfect ‘extreme’ look you desire. Further it doesn’t smudge or flux and comes off easily with an oil based eye makeup remover.
7. Colorbar Zoom and Whoosh Mascara – 650 INR (BUY HERE for 594)

They come in a twist up crayon packaging and have to be twisted from the end, from where the blender is. There is a white blender on the other side. The crayon has a black cap and the blender has a transparent small cap.
The texture is super creamy, it feels like butter and the pigmentation is amazing too. The glide on easily and you get opaque coverage in one swipe with darker shades and if you have pigmented lips, you might need to layer the lighter shades twice.
You can either apply it to inner half and/or outer half and create a shaded effect with the blender or mix two shades for an ombre lip. I like to use it normally as a lip crayon overall, as I am not a fan of the ombre look with one shade on a day to day basis.
I love the powder matte finish, it is very comfortable and not drying, feels very light on the lips. Stays put for 4-5 hours, but won’t survive full meal, can survive light snacks though.
L-Red2, R- Coral1
Coral 1 is a beautiful peachy coral shade, very flattering on a lot of skin tones. I always get asked what lipstick I am wearing, when I have this on. It gives a fresh, not overdone look to the face. But it being a lighter shade, looks patchy on dry lips. So exfoliate and moisturize your lips before using this.

Red 2 is a beautiful cool toned red, one which makes you teeth look whiter. It’s total glam and perfect for night time.

I only don’t like the quantity for that price, there’s not much product in there. I only wish they have more qty for that price. I remember I had said, I wish they were priced around Rs.400, but you get this for 400 online on Amazon India, so I don’t mind 😀
Other than that, no con. Once again, Maybelline has successful launched something innovative and new.

Let us all look back to the days when we couldn’t even draw a straight line on our eyes, and look at us all, we have mostly got so fierce with our eye liners. I find that an eyeliner adds a quick spark on the face and levels up your makeup game altogether. And, if you haven’t mastered the art of perfecting your eyeliner, worry not; that’s what felt tip or pen tip eyeliners are for. They help you create the perfect line even if you’re a bit too shaky or just a newbie in the eyeliner game.
Liquid liners can be a bit too messy if you’re a newbie and they provide no control over the applicator. I never started with felt tip eyeliners, honestly, i just jumped straight into a liquid eyeliner and by trial and error, i learnt on my own.
Felt tip liners help you create the most perfect lines and sharp wings, the only con being, they usually dry out pretty quickly. So, here’s my Top 5 felt tip/pen tip eyeliners to help you create that perfect wing:

This has to be my most favourite eyeliner out of all the eyeliners mentioned here. It claims to be the perfect antidote to your eye liner woes, smudge-free with quick-dry formula ensuring long-lasting bold application. Fade-proof, lasting up to 12-hours long. It comes with a 0.4 mm Flexi Tip Applicator which enables error-free and quick application. Its empowered with Ink-pigment technology providing stunning, defining lines as well as intense colour. Initially, i hated this eyeliner since it didn’t use to last more than 2-3 hours or so; not like any felt lip lasts long but this one disappointed me at first. It is worth a buy if you want an eyeliner for an all day usage.
3. Lotus Herbals Colorkick Curved Liquid Eyeliner (Price: Rs. 725/-) (BUY HERE for 690)
I bought this eyeliner after hearing bloggers and youtubers rave about, and i finished it pretty quickly since it just is so good. It claims to give proper holding position for comfortable application. Buttery soft texture glides over waterline effortlessly. It does not feel heavy. Stays on eyes for long time. I love the way the product is packaged, it helps you have a grip and control over what you’re doing. It gives bold black lines and the tip is perfect for even creating a thin line. The only con is the pricing which i find is a lot to spend on a felt tip liner which is barely 0.4ml. A must have for anyone who is new to the eyeliner world. It’s a dupe of the Sephora Curved Liquid Eyeliner.
4. Maybelline Hyper Sharp Eyeliner (Price: Rs. 425/-) (Review HERE) (BUY HERE for 361)
Can we all just agree that Maybelline makes the best and affordable products? It claims to be waterproof, does not flake and can be used on the inner rim. The carbon black colour and defined finish will add an instant drama to your eyes. With its precision-tip foam applicator, this innovative sweat resistant formula delivers vibrant wear with no feathering, flaking, or fading. This liner gives you really precise and thin lines, it stays for upto 5-6 hours and is pretty sturdy so you can carry it around wherever you go. New Maybelline India Colorsensational 3D Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes, Price, Shades

So 1-2 days ago I posted a pic on my Facebook page about the launch of these new eyeshadow palettes from Maybelline, now these are 5 shades, so cannot be called quads and they are small for palettes 😀 But still palettes is better.
They come in 4 different shades and are priced at Rs.575/- each.

Rose Quartz Pink
Sapphire Blue
These were all new palettes and the SA did not have testers, hence I couldn’t swatch these. She said testers would be arriving next week. They are already out at Lifestyle stores, and I guess Shoppers Stop too.

I absolutely loved Topaz Gold, followed by Rose Quartz Pink, they both have just one shade different though. But since there were no testers available, I did not pick any, as I didn’t wish to take the risk without swatching.
I love how the palette is shaped, the packaging is quite nice. Also the fact that every palette has one highlight shade, one smokey shade and one color striped with gold/silver. I guess only blue has silver, the blue palette is more cool toned, rest three are quite warm.
All look satin/shimmer finish except the smokey black, I wish there was one more matte shade, a soft brown for the crease blending.
The price is pretty good, with the previous quad being priced around Rs.495/-, this one looks much better in comparision.

It comes in shaded twist up crayon form with the crayon on one side and the white sponge on the other side for blending or creating a color gradation or ombre. The pencils match to the shades and hence easily identifiable.
Pigmentation wise, these are quite pigmented and cover even the most pigmented lips in max 2 swipes. It has a super creamy and buttery formula and glides and blends easily.
The finish is matte but it is very moisturizing and not at all drying. It also feels super light on the lips, you won’t feel you have lipstick on. Staying power is ok, it stays for 4-5 hours without eating or drinking, but with whole meal it goes away from the centre and needs to be reapplied.
The full size & the shade Mauve 1
The shade Mauve 1 is not mauve but a rosy brown, more on the brown side with a hint of mauve.
Here is how it looks on me..
Overall I would say I am quite happy with this, but would have preferred a price of Rs.400/- and also the launch of more shades and the wines and burgundies too. I would recommend checking out this Mauve shade and the Coral and Orange.

I got the Mauve shade, coz the reds and pinks looked pretty similar to lip crayons I already have. Loved Coral too, and was loving the look of Orange too. Maybelline has again not launched the super pretty burgundy and wine shades the ColorBlur Lip Pencils have 🙁
These are slightly priced on the expensive side for Maybelline, I think around 400-450 would have been an ideal price but nonetheless I have tried it once and like it, will update with the full review super soon 🙂 For all others who are looking to try this out, I would suggest getting the Coral and Mauve as both the shades are quite different.

It comes in this pen kind crayon twist up form. Packaging is quite cute, but also a little broader and longer if you want to carry it in your wallet or denims. I usually carry my normal Baby lips in my denim pockets, this is a bit longer to carry around easily.
This is the complete quantity and it is just 2g which will not last really long if you reapply lip balms 2-3 times a day.
Peach is a very light pale peach that will only work for fair skin tones, doesn’t work well on me. Also Peach is not that pigmented.
Orange is a light fanta orange shade
Cherry is reddish shade
Raspberry is a beautiful pink
Mixed Berry is a light purply pink
These are quite pigmented, a little more than few of the original Baby lips. Moisturising and hydrating enough, stay for 3-4 hours. It has a faint candy smell, but doesn’t last long, just for a minute or so.

Overall I would say, if you need something cute and more pigmented than normal lip balms, Baby Lips Candy Wow is a perfect option. If you want something handy and value for money with good qty and affordable pricing, then stick to Baby Lips.
I have seen the swatches online and I love Raspberry and Cherry. Peach is the least pigmented. I definitely recommend checking out or buying Raspberry and Cherry, I am getting those next!
